This is a great shop. They have been very helpful with getting me dialed in on my Stromer. I highly recommend this shop.

**update 12/12/12**Took our bikes in for service at the SF location. Very good service and accommodating to my change of schedules. Extremely helpful and work was meticulous. In the meantime, weve been enjoying our rides on the bike, spending hours on the bike trails.*****update**Revised my rating down. Still think the in-store service is very good. However, after taking delivery of our bikes, noticed some items amiss. Purchaesd 2 new bikes. Both bikes each were missing a small item, although not significant to the performance, it is a reflection of the stores quality control. More significant was one of the bikes had over 60 miles on the odometer upon delivery (I had the bikes delivered to my home). I was surprised as suppose to be brand new. After inquiring, found out the bike was a customer return. The store admitted and offered store credit for the excess mileage. Overall still pleased with the bikes, but again, a reflection of the shortcomings in their inspecton/quality control process and lapse in transparency.**Excellent service even in the middle of this pandemic. Staff are knowledgeable (worked with Paul and another gentleman) and super friendly. We visited another bike shop prior to the New Wheel and staff werent motivated in investing time with customers. Glad we waited.As a novice, I wasnt sure of all aspects of a bike to observe, but staff was patient and walked us through the process and gave helpful suggestions to enhance the test ride.Great shop.

I bought my ebike as the pandemic hit back in March 2020. I was going to become the essential person picking up mail in the Financial District, and I needed a plan. With public transportation at a standstill, and my 62-year-old brain and body feeling hesitant to ride from Marin to SF on my road bike on a regular basis, I took the plunge and purchased a Gazelle T-10 from the New Wheel.A year and a half later and I couldnt be happier. I went ahead and purchased what felt like a pricey add-on with the service agreement, and I just re-upped that agreement this month. I take my bike in because I pay ahead, helping me to remember. I always receive excellent service, and what price can you put on your bikes condition? Were a team.Riding for pleasure is such a gift, now that our offices have closed! I work from a friends home after a ride. I run errands with my ride. My husband now has an ebike. My best friend has an ebike. We road trip with our ebikes....Thanks, New Wheel! So so glad I took this plunge with you all.

Great service and selection

Just had 2 e-bikes tuned up @ the SF shop. Very happy with p/u-drop off service. Bikes ran better than ever b, one still had a prob. Rode it in to Larkspur shop. Tech put it on his rack, tweeted it. Now fine . my wife will be happy

The bikes are pretty cool and the service is one-of-a-kind! Definitely worth a look if youre in the area. Super helpful staff and a large selection of accessories for biking. I would consider this place a premier electric bike shop in the North Bay.

Very helpful staff

I had a very great experience at the event this weekend and thank the New Wheel so much for this event. It was well organized and there were plenty of e-bikes to demo and the food available for lunch was beyond my expectations.. for a casual event; lunch was great! Im sorry a post before this said that they could not fit on a bike...tried a Tern folding bike and it looked like it would accommodate most anyone and was a totally fun ride.

These people are fantastic. I have their service membership, and they go above and beyond to make sure my bike stays like new. The bikes are not cheap, but having one has allowed my family of four to easily live with only one car.

Great overall experience. The New Wheel staff are pros! They like what they do and believe in bikes they sell and service. Visited other shops in Marin and none compare with the New Wheel experience. Ive had my bike for a month and ride just about every day. My wife saw how much fun I was having and ordered her bike last week.

Great Shop and they go out of their way to solve problems! That is what a great shop does, highly recommend! They put my dad on an ebike and he loves it!

One of the best bike sales experience I’ve ever had! Each person I worked with took the time to explain everything to me, to help me learn how to use an electric bike, and answer all my questions. I loved having the opportunity to test ride as long as I needed to. Only negative-- they have to order a part and that process didnt begin until almost a week later so I had to wait much longer to get my new ebike. I would have preferred more honest up front communication about that. In any case, excited about my new ebike and so grateful to Paul, Daniel and everyone at The New Wheel!

This all-electric bike store is top notch. Salespeople were sincerely interested, friendly and knowledgable, even willing to escort prospective buyers on comprehensive test drives (ours included 3 different e-bikes, hills and flats). They offer mid to upper-level pricing, maintenance packages and discounts, accessories, saddle options and high quality bikes. This place does the job of introducing us to the new era of electric biking without any commercial hype and bling.Hope theyre around for a long time. 👍

Great shop. Great people. Superior equipment. I spent the extra $$ to buy a high end E-Mtn bike. Focus Jam2 Plus -- Life changing! I now ride hills for fun I used to avoid or dread. Was in Sausalito this am so spontaneously decided to drop in on friends in the Presidio. Up and over the GGB was fun and easy plus it happened to be a gorgeous day.New Wheel staffers Paul, Matt, Daniel and others were great throughout the process. I never felt pressured. I shopped at Mikes (not welcoming) and Bicycle Odyssey (less E selection). Gladly returned to New Wheel and now consider myself a regular. Biggest problem: my wife wants one! Go there, hang out, try their bikes, shop around and compare. I bet youll go back. I sure did.

We had a great test ride with tall Paul and it was just great despite the rain. Everyone was very knowledgeable and helpful at this store. Cant wait to get an electric bike!

We drove 45 minutes to try some electric bikes at the Super Bike event, however there were no bikes to accommodate an elderly person at age 85 and very short in size. All the bikes were for tall people I never come here again and they would not give me seconds on pancakes

Great place to try out top notch e-bikes from Riese and Müller, Stromer, etc. Theyre right on a bike path thats perfect for trying out the bikes. They carry everything from upright city bikes to fast commuters to cargo bikes for hauling kids or groceries.

Today was my first, information gathering visit to start getting in the weeds with a likely future decision to trade in my car in favor of an e-bike.Based on todays experience alone, I would give them 5 stars! But I hesitate to give 5 star ratings to any business until and unless Ive tried the full range of their services. Since my visit today didnt involve a sale, nor any interaction with their shop, I withheld a star on principle - not through any fault with my visit.I was greeted promptly and the salesperson introduced himself, then inquired about the purpose of my visit. He was quite patient with my many reasons for wanting to make the change as well as my intended use details of an ebike - many details of which were mutually contradictory when applied to selecting a particular ebike!He offered me three different ebikes, all in the same general design (which was a bit of a test - Id already determined the likely general design of a ebike that fits my purposes - and his recommendations agreed with my prior inclination) but with significant detail differences. As he presented each one, he was able to detail how each one met my needs - as how each one differed from my needs (remember, I said many of my details were mutually contradictory!). I was quite impressed that he didnt try to sell me on one particular bike, but presented what he saw as the choices that came closest to my needs, then gave a decent comparison/contrast talk. This is, in my experience, rare in a salesperson.There are brands Im interested in that this store doesnt sell. The sales staff was quite understanding of this - even after my disclosing that I intend to make similar visits to other shops specializing in e-bikes.No matter what, even if Im (nearly) sold on a bike from a different shop, Ill return to them before I buy - if for nothing else then to give them a chance to make their case over my (nearly) selected bike. Their courtesy and attentiveness to my needs demand that I return the courtesy.
