My family was Kennedy Glass loyal customer for thirty years. With the recent change in ownership we were wondering if the new management will live up to the old owners standards. In the last few months several services were provided to us by the new team.We are very impressed by the quality of their work but mostly their level of customer service. I cant say enough of good things about the new manager Stefan Garrison who took on our challenging and complicated mirror project. On top of that, he made a special effort to find in their warehouse and provide several hard to buy window handles we needed. Huge thanks for Stefan and his team!

6/28/2021 the person that takes calls for specialized orders yelled at and hung up on me Bc I did not agree with the price and when I call back won’t answer my voicemail. I don’t know what mental issues she may have, but I hope she gets the help she needs.I had custom-made tops for my fish tank, and they were a reasonable price before. Now that they have new place their prices have gone up by 200% and their clerks have mental issues. I hope they get to feeling better. That one seems strung out.

Communicated well, installed it in reasonable time and costed less than most places I looked into.

Its taken almost a month to get window fixed but the chick at the front desk sure is hot. Thats all That really matters.

Just do your due diligence and call one of the pros, they just dont have the knowledge and it shows. I work cleaning thousands of windows a year and recommend and see a great deal of replacements in line with my recommendations and to be honest there is no way i could pass these guys on to my worst customer

The first time we called to see when our window would arrive, the front office person said 2 weeks. Well 2 weeks came and no one gave us a call when will the window arrive. So we call a second time. Same story is it will be 2 weeks. The weeks have gone and now the same person at the front desk said 10 weeks!! By that time there was snow on the ground and the only thing protecting my mother in law from the cold was a piece of plywood covering the gapping hole in the house where the window was supposed to sit. I called AGAIN, the front desk person still didnt bother to call me back. Window people finally show up. Install it done. Why did it take so long and why were we lied to many times over to the point of staying in a freezing house. The installation workers arrived were nice and did a good job but the front desk person needs to be Fired.

Customer Service and communication was terrible. It took an extra week for my windshield to be repaired due to poor communication. I called to schedule a mobile windshield repair and I told them the make and model of my vehicle. Day of repair comes around and turns out they ordered the wrong piece of glass. Im told they will call me back to reschedule. I dont hear anything for 2 days, so I call them. Nobody seems to know about my ticket, and when I explain the situation they get me scheduled as soon as possible. Day of reschedule appointment comes around and I get a call at the time they were suppose to come, saying they would have reschedule in 2 days because they dont have the glass. They didnt call at beginning of the day when I figured they would have known this, but at the time theyre suppose to be there. Luckily the third time worked out and they did it quick and efficient, but the communication between them and the customer is terrible. Would not recommend.

Kennedy glass is not the company they used to be! I paid for a window replacement, only to find out weeks later, they lost or broke the window and failed to inform me or reorder. No discount offered for their mistake, really, not even an issue that management could be bothered to discuss with me. Bad customer service! Bad follow thru!

I had a simple project I hired this company to do making 4 pieces of plexiglass cut to specific sizes. After I ordered it, I waited about a week and never heard from them so I called the front desk and it was indicated to me that they never started on the project but she said they would have it done the next day. So the next day, I made a trip from Eudora to pick up the pieces and when I got them home, they were all made the wrong size. The one I inspected was cut very poorly with cracks and chips all over it. The next day, I drove in again and they said they would remake them. A few days later, I called to see what was taking so long and this time they said that half were ready, the other half would be ready tomorrow. So, I went in to get the two pieces that were ready and brought them home and they were AGAIN the wrong size. The next day, I took them back and told them that I had wasted two weeks on this project and cancelled my order and asked for my money back. It was a very frustrating experience and I will not be going back for any future projects.

I took a broken window screen and frame to Kennedy to be replaced. Long story short, they messed up and lost my screen. To fix the problem they sent someone out to my house to measure the window and made me two replacement screens. (One for another screen that had a broken latch.) The workman also brought them back and installed them. They did not charge me anything. They made an error, but went above and beyond to remedy the issue. I appreciated that.

Their quotes are pretty expensive. And their demeanor is cold and unfriendly. Looks like they have the monopoly in Lawrence, so they don’t need my business.

I had a broken glass pane on my china hutch door. I showed up at Kennedy Glass without an appointment but that wasnt a problem. The next day the door was finished and the price to fix it was much lower than I thought it would be. I highly recommend this business!

Sadly have to give this longtime local business a less than positive review. We needed to have a bathroom mirror removed and scheduled a time to have this done. Two service gentlemen (who were great BTW) arrived and took down and removed the mirror in about 5 minutes and then left to their next job. We were billed approximately $210.00. This seems excessive. Nice folks at Kennedy Glass, but charges are too much.

I just recently had Kennedy Glass company do work for me. When I had someone come out and estimate the work, I had requested some wood on the window to be replaced as well as the glass. I was told that they could do that so I asked them to do the work. After the time frame that they said it would take to get the windows ordered I called and set up the appointment to get the work done. The day that was scheduled, they didnt show up. I called and they said no one wrote it down. I scheduled it again, that time was cancelled after they were supposed to be there due to weather. On the rescheduled date, they came to install the windows but they didnt do the specific wood work that I had asked to get done. The installer said that he did what was on the job order, when I said that it isnt directed at him but I am frustrated that the specific items that I had asked to be done and was told could be wasnt, the installer said we arent making any money off of this job anyway. When I called the office about the work that I had asked to be done, the person said that he needed to talk to his workers because he had no documentation of what was requested and he would call me back. I didnt get a call back. I got an invoice in the mail. The window glass work that they did was fine, they lack of not doing what they said they could do and terrible customer service, I would look for other options.

Before completion I can say that the customer service has been extremely pleasant. I appreciate the home town atmosphere and gentleman offering up a ride home when dropping off my car. The estimate was easy and quick as well as getting scheduled in.

Had glass on a pickup repaired here. After the could not find the single pane glass that originally went in there. They upgraded the window to a slider and ate the difference in price. They were fast to, estimated 2 hr was done it 30 min. Will return for any glass work I have in future.

It was extremely difficult to schedule with them. They made me feel like I was not important and the job I needed them to do was not important.

We had been struggling with an issue in our commercial building door for a long time and no one seemed to know how to help. Someone recommended Kennedy Glass and they came out and the door now is like new! They were fast, decisive, competent, and fairly priced.

I went to get a chip on my windshield fixed. Fast service, affordable prices, and a comfy couch to wait on. I could not get serviced for like 4 days but my problem developed right around Christmas where short staff and hours are a common thing for any business. I received a quote for a new window, (via voicemail) and when my husband called Kennedy back to give the go-ahead, he was advised that the quote we were originally given wasnt correct. My husband was advised that they would give us a new quote in a week or less, but its been over a week now, and we havent received a call back. I understand that things happen, but at this point it seems like Kennedy doesnt want our business, so we will go elsewhere.

About two years ago they replaced the windshield on my car. It appeared fine at first look. I got into my car and found disintegrated rubber pieces from my old rubber molding/trim all over the inside front of the car and in the vents. I decided to get out & take a closer look at the work they did, and saw that they had not used enough of the new rubber molding to seal the new windshield. There was about a three inch gap on each side that allowed you to actually see the interior metal frame. I brought this to their attention & asked them to redo the job, not wanting the elements to get in, and it looked bad. When I returned the next day I saw that all they did was put silicone glue on one side ONLY. The old rubber pieces were still there. I spoke with one of the owners I wont name here, & was told that The water is just going to get in anyway. I was VERY upset. Its hard to describe being treated like that, especially by an OWNER, one word would not suffice. I decided I did not want them to come near my car again & left. I saw one of their trucks today & it triggered the terrible memory. I hope my review will help you to go somewhere else.

My husband and I have always had excellent service from Kennedy--from a curved glass door for my grandmothers china cabinet to windshields and windows. This week they helped me seal the hatchback and roof windows that were broken by falling trees in the May Tornado.

They have been here forever and I was excited to find out they worked with my insurance company, but unfortunately I wasnt happy with the work. I still gave 3 stars, because I have been happy in the past

A moving company in Kansas City Kansas broke my grandmothers glass display case and I had to have a piece repaired so I took it to Kennedy and was quoted $20 and then charged 40. So not exactly thrilled with them. If I have other glass needs Ill probably try to find somebody else first but they may be the only game in town on the other hand theyre not the only town around here.

I would just like to state that I have never written a review in my life anywhere. Recently someone hit and ran my car and it broke my back windshield. Having called several sources, Kennedy Glass was by far the cheapest, and fastest company that could have helped me. I literally saved $100 by going through them, you wont be disappointed. Came to measured for glass shelves On the middle of August,then they never contacted us on there bid for the shelves .three weeks later we called to find out the price,they were not done. 2 days later (September 10th)we called back, they didn’t know about this bid so they called later with a $1080.00 for 6 glass shelves.terrible customer service.

They came through for me in a pinch and turned my job around supper fast. I live Lawrence but work in Kc. I tried using glass companies in kc near my office. None of them had the service or knoledge that Kennedy had. I made the 2 hour round trip to use Kennedy and will do it again.

Kennedy Glass can always fix a windshield or window in a pinch! I never have to wait long and the prices Ive had to pay for replacing a windshield or car window have always been very reasonable.

Only use them for precut glass panes. In that regard, they are 5/5. When they get into specialized glass (laminated, auto, etc.) yhe Quality drops to 3/5
