I was in a hurry but everything was so easy to find and it was my first time at this store. The Deli was super fast and friendly, and (self)check out was so smooth!

There is a lot to choose from. Deli is out of this world. Only reason I gave them a 4 rating. Their gas discount is beat by Dillions

At 9:15 p.m., I wasted 30 minutes here last night trying to buy four grocery items. The ONLY employee I saw in the store was a cashier serving four customers. I proceeded to the self-check out, scanned my fuel saver card, my items, and ran my card 10 times to complete my purchase, but the register wouldnt accept my card. I turned to the cashier who was in the next aisle and reported my problem, to get a response, Its not working? She continued to serve the customers in her line. After looking around the store for other employees and waiting a few more minutes, I left my items in the bagging area in anger and disgust, walked out, and drove to DILLONS to buy my groceries. This store is clearly understaffed and mismanaged. It used to be the best-run grocery store in town. Theyve been in rapid decline since installing self-checkout lanes in the store. As I drove to Dillons, I thought about how easy it wouldve been to walk out of the store with my unpurchased items, as no one seemed to be minding the store. I also considered that perhaps thats why their prices are so inflated. When I arrived at Dillons, there were SIX EMPLOYEES visible from the entry door. I wouldve saved myself a half hour and a lot of frustration if I had just gone straight to Dillons.

I got me something to eat plus got my prescription. This is a good store to shop.

I love to shop here, the store is very clean and the quality and selection are fantastic. You will pay slightly higher prices so I don’t shop here regularly but I love to go when I need something special. Their already prepared food is wonderful. It’s hard to spend time cooking when you can buy a great meal already ready to eat. Their employees always go above and beyond to help you in anyway.

Nice selection of fresh baked bread, that they will slice for you. They a good deli counter with many choices of sliced meats and cheese. And always have fresh cut items at the meat counter. Great place to shop before your cookout.

The person working the eating area was being over worked. We waited a while before being able to check out. The bath room was horrible. Oh my goodness had to get out of there.

One of the only stores from home. It is comforting to know I can walk in and get what I am looking for. I always enjoy my shopping trips at HyVee

Nice grocery store with a really interesting selection. Theyve got things in their deli like hummus made by a local business, etc. In winter they are one of the only places I can find the gold carton AE egg nogg. Staff seem to enjoy their work and are friendly.

Staff are always helpful and everything is clean and tidy.

Grocery pickup is fast, simple, and reliable. The resturaunts inside have cheap, quality food, though the fountain drinks are a LOT more than I was expecting. Found everything I was looking for and got out in less than 25 minutes :)

Last night was first time I have ever shopped in a Hy-Vee before! Their produce not only existed but in several options of each item! The store was huge! And I loved the large amount of space between the aisles! It made for a responsible and respectable distance between consumers shopping for items alike; a well developed response to the co-vid pandemic 👏🏼👏🏼Prices were average with the stores’ geographical location and medium income statistics (unfortunately higher than mine lol) but the part I enjoyed the most is snagging one of these FREE HyVee Seasons Magazines on the way out!! Omg it’s filled with exactly what most magazine subscriptions lack: fast recipes, fancy recipes, time saving tips, *women’s month articles showing off our ‘badassery” coupons, new products & reviews, party planners, kids menu ideas, articles of local small businesses engaging in community events and social welfare projects, instructions on ordering groceries from home! And either pickup or delivery options, household cleaning hazards and tips, safe beauty regiments and cosmetics, work-out routines and way to promote healthy eating habits for all members of the family!!

We used their catering department for several events in May and the customer service and quality of the food was amazing! Several departments worked together to help. I was very impressed with everyone from their managers to their bakery, to the deli, to the experts in meat and cheese department and delivery drivers. I will definitely utilize their services again in the future.

While the aisles can be confusing, the staff can usually help you find the area youre looking for. The best part is the delicatessen and the bakery. The staff there are the friendliest of the bunch and the food is fresh and tasty. If you cant decide what to get for lunch or dinner, try there!

Went in to see what Chef Kelly was cooking. Chicken fajitas were on the menu and I was not disappointed. Last night I went in for his steak night. Cooked to order and it was incredible. He only cooks his special menu 2-3 days a week but I recommend stopping by and checking it out!

Love this store! Its clean, bright, and has a great selection. The only reason Im giving it 4 stars is because of the fact that their prices are more often than not higher than all the other stores in town. The selection (and the deli section...their Hickory House menu items are amazing!!) keep me coming back though!

As we all know, H.V. is the most expensive grocery store, however they do have good deals, and fancy nice meats at the butcher display, as well as a clean store, and friendly staff.

Hy-Vee is an amazing store experience...well kept with caring customee service. I was disappointed in a sushi sale that didnt pan out. I picked a $12.99 variety that was on sale for $7.99! I got to the self-check and it rang through at $12.99?A young male employee must have noticed my bewilderment immediately. He came to ask me if I was doing ok?OK? I was confused about the sushi. He took the pkg to the display to check it for me. I soon followed to show him where Id picked it up right below the sale sign.This is the wrong variety, he told me.Now he looked uncertain...I asked, Isnt there any of the correct ones here? 🤔 Slightly embarrassed, he said, Well, Im not seeing any, maam.I admit that it happens often when I visit your competitors, Dillons. So its really not a new situation for me, but I was surprised about this scenario happening at Hy-Vee. Im not a rude or confrontational person, so I just asked him to delete the item for me and Ileft with my angel food cake and fruit.Since you asked, I will tell you that I was disappointed and surprised 😮.

Although there are enough exclusive offers to make the rewards program worth joining, you arent hit with hefty penalties on just about every item if you dont scan the rewards card. There is a fancy cart sanitizer making things safer during the pandemic. Produce runs higher than some places, but comparable to most. Soda isnt generally priced to incentivize stockpiling. Self checkouts are designed for large carts of items.

Great customer service, competitive pricing, great selections

In 2009, Low Maintenance Landscape donated a free community landscape full of native Kansas plantings for the parking islands in front of the Hy-Vee store on 23rd street. From 2009-2016 we held the maintenance contract to keep them beautiful. We enjoyed the project and hope to be involved again in the future. Hopefully if HyVee needs help keeping them maintained, they will call us. Thank You.

This was my 1st time Is using the drive-through pharmacy and I was completely satisfied with fairly quick service. The only thing that was a concern was the visibility upon leaving the drive-through because of the cross track.

This place constantly has expired items, nearly rotten produce and wrong “sale” signs. The sale signs do not ring up as the sale price on too many items for it to be an accident and I am so tired of it.

Hy-vee is my all time favorite grocery store!! They have a beautiful meat counter, great employees who are friendly and helpful!! And of course have a helpful smile in every aisle!! 😉❤👍

I ordered online and had my food delivered from Hyvee Chinese. The dasher was great. Very fast from the time it was picked up and delivered. The food however was awful. I swear the chicken has been sitting a long time as it was dried out and difficult to eat. I ordered sweet and sour chicken. I got one small dipping sauce. The rice was crunchy. I also ordered California roll sushi. I got an email saying it wasn’t available.I will never eat here again. Ever. I don’t recommend it at all. I wasted way too much money for a meal I can’t even eat.

Nice clean store, they didnt have everything I needed, but at least 95%. I would suggest avoiding weekends and evening busy hours for the best service, however they have self service checkout and they monitor check-outs to add checkers. They do have to-go food, a deli, bakery a huge meat department and a pharmacy. They also have an app so you can do curbside pickup.

I love shopping here! They always have everything I need in stock, and they have made extra effort to make sure their customers are safe and have the items they need during this pandemic.

First time being at Hyvee since the one on 6th Street closed. Pleasantly surprised. They didnt have the steak and stuffed mushrooms I used to buy at the other Hyvee, however, the manager and employees quickly made them for me. Gotta say I was impressed and will be returning.

The bakery was gr8 when they first opened, but NOW, I wont bother.

Self checkout absolutely sucks

Clean, well stocked, they had a nice cold area for health foods, even sell some of the locally made gluten free foods. That said, not impressed with Customer Service of upper management. We had made a purchase online because we were visiting from KC. We were not residents of Lawrence. Half of our order was missing. The staff member loading it said they couldn’t find it and to call back for refund. I emailed and there was no problem getting refund, but insisted on us calling to give a card number. I asked for a HyVee store credit or gift card, I was told they could do that but it could only be spent at their store. How is it I can buy a gift card at HyVee and use it at any HyVee but the store managers can’t do that to credit me for an order that was messed up on their end? We finally got back to Lawrence about 3 months later. I had emailed to ask if I could get the refund the day we planned to be there. I was told yes, go to Customer Service. The young gentleman at the counter went out of his way to help, very kind. The manager on duty not so much. You can tell she was annoyed. I guess I was stupid to assume they knew the exact amount I was owed, I left my list at home. The staff had no clue what I was talking about, the manager tried to reimburse me for the 2 items listed out of stock on the order. I had to explain 2-3 times that it was items they missed, not out of stock items. Anytime I’ve had an issue at my local HyVee’s, the managers went way out of their way to help. Even offered to drive the missed items to me at my home, which is some distance for them. I don’t expect them to do that, but I did expect that the managers had a record of the emails and had a better idea of what needed to happen to reimburse me. It took 30 minutes to finally get a credit. I know I could have been better prepared and more timely, but I think this HyVee also could have done a better job of keeping my information at hand and ready for when I came to Customer Service as they directed me to do. And I have a hard time believing that a gift card issued by them can only be spent at their store.

While there are MANY reason to appreciate living in Lawrence, Ks one of the best we have discovered is ... Hy-Vee Grocery store on Clinton Parkway! This store is CLEAN, the associates are COURTEOUS, well groomed and ALWAYS willing to provide any assistance in finding particular merchandise cheerfully. We purchased an entire Thanksgiving dinner yesterday and, despite having nearly 700 orders to fill, ours was totally accurate, the dishes we ordered were cooked to perfection, the price was entirely reasonable and, after a very short wait in line, the order was placed in our cart and we were on our way. When necessary, any prescriptions we have ordered have been filled in a timely manner by very professional and knowledgeable pharmacy associates.We feel so fortunate to live in a community with a HY-VEE grocery store!

This is the only hy-vee in Lawrence. The staff are always kind and the store is clean. They have good deals on food, and I like that we get gas discounts. I hope corporate allows them a store update as it would be wonderful thing since there is only 1 store that serves Lawrence and the towns around who travel 30 mins to shop there.

Hy-Vees grocery pickup service is excellent. Theyre so organized, efficient, and friendly. Theyre a little farther away from me than Dillons, but the experience is a million times better. Unlike Dillons pickup service, Hy-Vee has a great system in place and their customer service is so much better.
