The staff team there dominates with knowledge. Im in the process of getting all my cycling needs met there and theyre making it happen masterfully for me. If youre in need of anything cycling, running, triathlon based this is the place. If you make this your first stop among your options itll be the only one youll need to make.

Today I stopped in to see if they had a particular tool in stock so I could try to fix my bike. They did not but called another local shop for me to see if the other shop had it in stock. The other shop did, and I was able to fix my bike the same day (which was my goal). They did not get my business today, but they certainly got my respect and my future business for being willing to help even if it meant sending my money to a competitor.

I am brand new to biking and Transition Triathlon was highly recommended by a friend of mine. I decided to reach out via email and from that point on I was in direct communication with the owner Steve. He has been nothing but pleasant, knowledgeable, and responds immediately to any communications. I ordered a bike that was shipped to their shop and they assembled it. Steve took the time to get me set up and adjust the seat height and handle bars to make sure I was comfortable. I am happy to know that I will have support from this amazing company moving forward! The shop itself is top notch and seems to be stocked with the best of the best gear and cycles.

First time in, went to get fitted for road bike shoes. Very knowledgeable and didnt pressure to up sell. I have difficult feet to fit, staff had good suggestions on which shoes would work for me. Ill definitely go back in, good selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff, plus right off the W&OD trail.

These guys are awesome! My first visit was with a flat tire along the W&OD... they helped and in no time I was on my way back home! The best way to describe their top notch service is that every time I go back they will do everything to help me even when it could be something as trivial or simple as some “dry socks” on a crazy rainy ride. Sometimes these shops are kind of intimidating mostly based on my lack of knowledge on the subject (at least that has been my experience before), but not here... This is my favorite shop even if I have to drive 40 mns feom home to get there.

I am new to biking and triathlons, and recently got my bike fitted by Steve. It was a great experience- I felt like Steve took the time to make sure I felt comfortable, and offered advice without being at all condescending (as can often be the case in other shops). I live 45 mins away, and it was well worth the drive- I will make the trip again the next time I need any biking or tri supplies. Both Steve and Alex answered all of my questions and offered advice without pressuring me to buy anything. I could tell, after spending about an hour with Steve getting fitted, that he really loves the sport and was supportive of getting another athlete into it!

I went in for Bike fitting and was treated as if I were a pro triathlete! Steve and his wife were so customer friendly from the onset. My bike fitting was great experience and Steve’s knowledge extensive. Throughout the process I was informed and given a full explanation of what was done. No pushing products nor component changes to my machine. I ended up buying a seat because I wanted to which topped off my bike fit from good to great. I also asked extensive questions regarding running shoes and felt no pressure to buy, all my questions answered no matter how trivial and walking out with a pair that felt amazing. This was one of the best purchasing experiences I have had in a bike shop and will consider myself a customer of theirs for life!!

So refreshing finding a shop that knows what they are talking about as it pertains to triathlons! Too many times, have I gone to a bike shop only to receive bad advice. Definitely not the case with Steve and his team at Transition tri. He was a pleasure to work with when picking out my new bike - super knowledgeable, and even more patient - allowing me to try several bikes and never pressured throughout the entire process. I live in DC, but Ill make the trip out to continue to buy and get service from

Best bike shop in NOVA hands down. I have been to literally every LBS in the area and not a single place has given me the quality, swiftness of service and attention to detail that these guys provide. I advise anyone - from serious endurance athletes to weekend warriors and hobbyists - to at least check this place out. My bike has never run smoother! Also, ask the staff about local races - they are super knowledgeable in regards to local trail running events and ultras, long course triathlons and more.

Just bought a tri-bike for my daughter who has become competitive at a national level with USAT. Steve is super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. He helped us work through our options without pressure. He clearly understands the sport and shows a commitment to the best service he can provide. While we were there we encountered several local customers who stopped in just for friendly atmosphere. We drove an hour because we heard great things and we were not disappointed!! Thank you!!

Where do I start ---- without a doubt one of the most customer friendly shops that I have ever dealt with. I placed an order over the telephone with Transition Triathlon. I had the pleasure to deal with Alex and Steve, they took the time to answer any questions about the product I ordered. After placing the order, I received it in the mail within 2 days. Overall - great experience with this company. Would highly recommend Transition Triathlon - any future triathlon items will be ordered for this store.

A great store for triathletes owned and run by triathletes. Alex and Steve and their staff provide excellent friendly customer service and if they dont have what you are looking for they can help you get it. The store is right off the W&OD trail and provides easy access for nutrition, water, a quick bike adjustment or another tire tube while out on a ride or run. They helped me quickly replace a frayed gear shift cable. They also offer great, cant miss clinics including Newton run clinics, that both beginner and experienced triathletes can benefit from.

So happy I started coming to Transition Tri! Ive received so much help from the owners and staff as I get up to speed in triathlon. Theyre always kind enough to educate me about different products that Im looking for, giving me different options and not just pushing the most expensive thing out there. Theyve gone above and beyond - I lost a part to a helmet I bought through them right before a big race. They were able to replace the part out of inventory while working with the manufacturer to get themselves a replacement (it was warranteed but on back order, so there was no way I would have gotten it before the race without Alex and Steve). Thank you so much!

Cant thank Alex enough for outstanding customer service. I drove to Transition Tri from 70 miles away in MD because they are the only shop in the DC/Baltimore area that physically has Lake cycling shoes in stock to try on. Alex knew this was likely my one and only trip to her store, yet she gave me great service finding the right shoe for my wide feet, even ordering a different model than what she had in the store to be delivered to my home. Really impressed with Alex and Transition Tri, wish it was closer to home.

These guys have grown in one of the best athletic stores I have been in. Buy here and not online. I recall going into the shop when they first opened. The store was not very full and Steve spoke of this grand vision. If that is your memory, a store just getting going, then you need to go in again as Steve has built that grand vision. The store is full of items and they likely have it in your size. The staff has been very helpful in selecting items. I also enjoy stopping in on a ride to check out whats new and to get a snack. Check them out.

Stopped in yesterday to pick up some gear for my first triathlon and had a really great experience. Steve was very personable and took the time out to explain the benefits and downsides to every piece of gear I purchased without making me feel rushed or pressured. He was able to make practical suggestions based on his own experience gained over the years as a triathlete which was very helpful. The store is small but has a great selection, even for Clydesdales like myself. Thanks Steve, I will definitely be back!

Transition Triathlon is THE place to go for all of your swim, bike, and run needs! The owners, Alex and Steve, are passionate about the sport of triathlon and the three disciplines involved. The reasons to shop there are: 1) they have everything you need for run, bike, and swim; 2) they really know their products and can make personalized recommendations based on your size, experience, budget, etc...; 3) their prices are competitive; and 4) they are super nice and helpful. Be sure to check out their free clinics on intro to Triathlon and bike maintenance every month. They are located just off the W&OD bike trail in Old Town Leesburg - a great location! I just completed my first triathlon and they were a tremendous help in providing tips and making gear recommendations - as well as help with a last minute bike emergency the day before my Tri! Thanks Alex and Steve for helping make my first Tri experience a great success!! You all are awesome!

The owner of this shop is rude. I was a customer of a neighboring store, I briefly parked in there parking spot and she treated me very rudely, over a simple mistake. little does she know, I am an avid rider and runner, and she just lost a customer ! I will be sure to tell my friends of her poor attitude ! and to find another cycle shop to go too. Being rude to the general public, and a potential customer of her store for briefly parking in her spot, does not get you new customers. For all she knows i was going to visit her store while my car was being serviced at another LOCAL shop. I am NOT going to now !!
