What wholesome and genuine vibes! The lady was so kind and informative; honestly, they are really luck to have her. She walked me through the selection, answered my questions and helped me find my new picks! I like long term aged cheese, that are low moisture cheeses, sharp or the “stinky” and moldy cheeses. I was happy to see that they had all that i could desire! I found unique, jams, pate, and crackers…. It’s a great place. I am coming back!

Yes. Do it. Don’t even think twice. I LOVE this shop! The employees are so knowledgeable and patient, the range of cheeses and accompaniments is everything you could ever want and more. If youre interested, they’ll take you info and record what you purchase do if you pop in half a year later and want that ‘one cheese, you know with the rind, and maybe it was slightly nutty? Or fruity?’ they can look it up! Receipts give CVS a run for their money but include info about the cheese and suggestions for pairings!! What more could you want in a cheese shop? Or in life really...

I freaking love this place, an excellent selection of double and triple cream brie. A very knowledgeable staff, and epicurian oriented finer foods, also if youre looking for Norwegian brown cheese, this is the only place in southern California that seems to have it on a regular basis.

My girlfriend and I attended the Cheese 101 Class hosted by Lisa. She was very knowledgeable and made the class entertaining and educational. She was not conceited or demeaning in any way to us, even though we had no real knowledge coming into the class. The selection of cheeses she chose for the class was eye-opening, it made me completely rethink any preconceptions I had. Cheeses I previously thought I didnt enjoy, I realized can actually be delicious. I 100% recommend this class to anyone that is at all interested in cheese, you will not be disappointed. Also, definitely come on an empty stomach; 13 cheeses doesnt sound like a lot, but by the end I was definitely getting full.

The cheese selection is amazing, the owner is jolly and a joy to talk to, the prices are reasonable, the flavors are ridiculously good.Chocolate fudge cheese? My tastebuds and brain are convinced the other is a lying fool. Its chocolate. But the lady said it is cheese. But it is chocolate... But the lady said...Id give 20 stars if I could. An extra 5 for the cute little painting on the side of the building, too.

Terrible. If you do end up coming here, try not to ask any questions because they are not friendly! For some reason the woman behind the counter copped an attitude with me after making me wait, and then refused to help pick out cheese. I was so disgusted I nearly had fainted and had to love. Some people just want to watch the world burn.

Great botique select of cheeses. Almost every question we had was answered. This is the perfect place to find imported cheese for an amazing party platter. Definitely recommend!

ALL my life I have loved cheese.My Dad was German and my mother Norwegian and never knew how good the best cheese in the world would be for me. I learned that if I chose the northern/southern European choices.I had no bad effects or allergic reactions,, so I went to a cheese addition 101 class and I am now totally informed of the suburb and most fabulous choices to make my life a very happy one! You will too!.Just love this place!!!

Great cheese selection but rude and surly staff at the Long Beach location. Ordered a cheese basket for my in-laws for Xmas and the folks at the HB shop improvised a beautiful wooden crate presentation when they ran out of baskets. I will return!I did return, for Christmas 2020. John, one of the owners was great. Another awesome Spanish cheese crate packed with tasties from Spain. We did not get any cow or sheep cheese, it was all goat, so mother-in-law didnt have any, but I enjoyed the heck out of everything. Will return, but next time request no goat if its for mother-in-law.

Very nice folks that made a great selection for my first visit. A great gouda that I need to have more of in my life. When I asked if they had honey with the comb still in it, they had some from Temecula that is to die for. Will visit on my future 2nd St. walks and pick up more snacks!

Im glad that in this economy business is so good that you can turn away customers (extra customers actually, considering there was still one inside) two minutes after closing time.You know, we didnt have to deal with the pain in the ass of 2nd street. Everyone has reggiano. We want you to succeed. There really is no sarcasm here. Congratulations. Maybe if business really picks up you can start closing early and peeing on people. Ok. maybe a little sarcasm.When they are open, everyone has always been helpful to the point of mind-reading and the whole remember your cheese thing is cool.
