Lady M crepe cakes are delicious and unique. The flavors are never too deep, they are varied, but and almost without fail are delicious. If you cant make up your mind, go for the green tea! A close runner up is the Truffle Mille. They might seem a bit expensive, 9 inches for $95, but surely the effort that goes into making the cake needs to be honored.Service at Lady M can be patchy.
I ordered the Fall Favorites for my sons birthday who is away in college. The cost is USD133 including $25 delivery fee. The cakes didnt arrive on time, it arrived late at night the next day. My poor son was waiting and waiting for the cake on his birthday that never arrived. Not only was it late, the condition of the cakes looked horrible, nothing like the pictures for sure, they were mushed and not very appetizing, you can see from the picture. I tried to call their hotline, waited and waited just to be cut off with no sound each time. Tried emailing them, just to get automated response only. I will never order from them again. If you are planning to send these cakes to loved ones, think twice!!
Really appreciated the personalized and thoughtful service. Whenever you have a more high-end product, like a slice of cake that’s close to $10 for a small to medium size portion, this is paramount. The ladies answered all my questions patiently and enthusiastically. Very happy that my decaf coffee actually tasted like a solid cup of coffee (a lot of places neglect their decaf offerings) and was a lovely pairing with the tiramisu slice I bought. The raspberry almonds were equally as delectable!
The customer service is terrible. Im not going to shop at this store any more.My daughter loves crepe cake and Im planning to order one cake for her. I called the customer service today and asked them if there was any way that I could order the cake for my daughter as a gift and she would pick it up. Because they have a policy that the pick up person have to show the physical credit card, how can my daughter show the card if I order for her as a gift? I understand that if they cant change the policy. Im not satisfied with the service of the lady who answered the phone. She just repeated the sentence like a robot Whoever picks up the cake needs to show physical credit card and matching ID. I asked her, Is there anyway I can order the cake and she will pick it up? Or if I could buy a gift card for her... But the phone lady repeated that sentence again with the same cold tone . Like I was talking to a machine not a human being. There was totally no customer service. It just wasted my time to call them. Bad customer service.
Unfortunately, there are no Gluten-free options. I truly wish they did. The photos are mouthwatering.
Yeah store closes at 6pm very very sharp... I drove 15 mins here and arrived at 6:00:30pm or so (no more than half a minute past their close time and all of the staff were still inside), and I was firmly rejected for a shipping cuz they said they were closed... Come on, would rather deny a customer who is late for half a minute than overwork for 2 or 3 more minutes?
Really helpful staff helped me to pick out the right slices to sample. Everything looks delicious! Its not for everyone though.. Some of the cakes are very light in flavor and all are not inexpensive, but if you are looking for a little treat, this is a good place to find that special something.
We were lady M fans for 6 years. Glad they have opened a store in Bay Area. We drove 1.5 hour through bad traffic yesterday to the Los Alto store around 4pm, but the service was the worst among our experience. There was no greeting, no smile, no communication, she does not even listen carefully about my order. I ordered one box of 6 pieces for my sister, one box of 8 pieces for my daughter. She packed the 8 pieces and asked me to pay. I told her I will pay together when she pack the second box, she literally forced me to pay and then pass my order to her colleague. She does not speak a word to me during the whole process. Her service was absolutely ridiculous and cold. Will not come back. The cakes were still delicious but her attitude to customers is a shame for lady M.
My experience at Lady M cake boutique was an experience I won’t soon forget. When you walk in you feel like your in a high end boutique, and when you choose from their delicious selection of crepe cakes you are guaranteed a satisfactory dining experience. From the helpful cashier to the lovely decor you will not be disappointed with your Lady M dining experience.
On the dry side. I wanted to like it more than I ended up doing.
Great cakes and good/friendly service, I live across the street and will be back. I liked all the layers, its hard to compare the cake to what Ive eaten before. A little pricey IMO.For the price, Id to see more than paper/plastic forks/plates/cups though. When I think of a cappuccino, I think of a nice large porcelain cup, not a paper cup. Thats the difference between 4/5 stars here.
It is famous for a reason! If you have a chance, please try a cake 🍰 here. This super-thin crepe layers separated by creme -is something that everyone should try. We had Green Tea and Pistachio Mille Crepe Cakes. And, I am happy to say, the hype is well deserved. The thin crepe layers break the monotonous cake-cream-cake tradition. The layers are very well balanced. The creams sweetness is just at the sweet spot. I liked the green tea one more than the pistachio (and it is the other way for my wife: she liked her pistachio). We arrived just 10 minutes before open, and was second in line. At the opening time, people were forming lines at the door. Once opened, the lines move fairly quick, and the there are some sitting arrangements inside for dine-in. The interior is simple and clean (it is a pop up). They also have coffee and it is nice to grab a cup with a cake.Overall, Lady M takes the Cake (pun intended).
Lady M is apparently the gold standard in mille crepes in the bay area and although I cant compare it to any other, its quite a delight. For the uninitiated, a mille crepes is essentially about twenty to twenty five layers of crepes with cream in between them. Yes, it does actually taste as good as it sounds.Lady M calls itself a cake boutique and that is exactly how it feels like walking into the store. The decor is very classy and chic with a lot of white with subtle highlights. There is not a great deal of choice with about six to eight flavors on offer at any point. We tried the signature, green tea, chocolate and tiramisu flavors which were pretty good. The signature was definitely the pick of the lot and the green tea was very interesting. The crepes themselves were nice and soft, easily able to be cut with a fork. The cream was perfectly light and sweet. The slices are definitely on the smaller side and at about $9 a slice, they definitely feel like a splurge. Although they specialize in crepe cakes, they do have a couple flavors of regular cakes as well.Crepe cakes feel like the fancy cousin of regular cakes and Lady M definitely does a great job at them. Definitely worth going back for that signature slice!
Probably the best crêpe cake I ever had! A MUST try. Pineapple Mille Crêpes 🍍🎂Reminded me of so many childhood flavors 😋 #nostalgia
Imagine this... 20 thin layers of crispy crepe sheets, each one covered with delicious thick green-tea infused whipped cream individually and then all stacked together. Now imagine.. on top of this there is a matcha powder of the finest quality getting dusted... surreal isnt it? I tasted this surreal-ness just about last weekend!! I saw Lady M store during my visit to NY 2 weeks ago. I looked it up on yelp and I sooo wanted to try it but unfortunately, it was closed. When I came back to the bay, randomly searched again (good for me!!) and guess what, saw a ladyM popup at Los Altos!First thing first, their staff is great and ofcourse mille crepes are unbeatable! And the teas...aahhh..so light and perfectly balanced with flavors.Id give them a 4/5 for pricing but honestly I wont be too bothered about it, you truly get your moneys worth. The menu is pretty elaborate and have good choices of items. They seem to make everything from scratch each day. You can either get a slice or can even order a cake. They also had a little display for Royce Chocolates. I took the Champagne and matcha one for home and also their potato chips dipped in chocolate! Believe me: you would definitely want to grab the chips! Youll go bonkers with the play of taste!Heres the items I tried and my recommendations:1. Classic Mille Crepe: Do not MISS this one!! I repeat: DO NOT MISS THIS ONE. Have it and you will thank me for life! The crepe were so well done and merged together with the cream in such harmony, you wouldnt even realize the crepes are even there! I think this is the exact item I would go again for lifetime now. Also, needless to say, it was 5/5.2. Matcha Green Tea Mille Crepe: I am not high on matcha and green tea but this was their staff recommended item and honestly I was not disappointed. There is something so elite and grande about this slice, you can feel that every item that goes into making it is of a supreme quality and has been freshly made.3. Berry Mont Blanc Tart: Sweet cream with a hint of sour, perfect dessert for after dinner for me! Id love to grab this for after dinner and have it with some green tea or chai. The base was of a good consistency, not too hard and neither too soft to mess up the taste. Good amount of flavor, I tasted hints of rose which was great! For me this was a definite 5/5.4. Teas: Rose tea and Matcha Green Tea: I liked them. They did not feel too milky and thankfully the taste of the flavor did not overpower the overall tea taste. Id recommend trying them without the desserts on the side. Everything gets too sweet and kind of spoils the experience.Lastly, they are going to make the pop-up a permanent location for Lady M! Yaaaay!
Great to have this convenient location for Lady M! The quality is the same as all the other branches, no line up, easy parking, nice and clean looking facility. Wish the cakes were a bit cheaper, but this is standard lady M pricing!
Very disorganized establishment. No way to call the store directly. Called customer service number before placing order and was assured that store is open and cakes available. Placed online order which also showed cakes available. Order was accepted and I reached store exactly based on order time. Store was closed. On asking why, I was told the order was cancelled even though the order was still showing up on the website and I was charged for it. No way to avoid this since there is no way to contact store.
For cakes that cost so much why do they use Pork gelatin in their cakes? Please make sure you create cakes for everyone not just pork lovers.
Ordered the matcha green crepe cake and the chocolate mousse crepe cake as well as a cappuccino. The drink was disappointing- was watery and zero espresso flavor. The matcha slice was dried... I thought I was eating paper only to realize the layer was dried up.Not worth the price I paid for the drink and cakes.
Excellent service from the staff everytime I visit. Anyone that dares claim them to be anything less than bountifully courteous is simply lying to you. Its an upscale place for crepe cakes, but definitely worth trying out at least once for everyone.
Just happened to find this place as we got take out next door. Looked interesting so went in to check it out. They had about 8 different kinds of crepe cakes. Got two to try...the passion fruit and the house special. $9 each so quite pricey. Not bad. Have not had anything quite like it before. Overall both were a bit too sweet and sugary for me though. A tiny piece was more than plenty.
Crepe cakes here live up the hype. The seasonal flavors are always delicious.
3 star for the cake but losing 2 stars for not posting their contact info whatsoever (online or phone numbers) - Call it bad customer service!I went there on New Year’s Day but they are closed! Google shows they are still open. The merchant only left their central customer service phone number. No hours posted on their front door. No phone numbers could be found anywhere. What a disappointment!Went to Vally Fair store unfortunately they sold out by early afternoon on the New Year’s day. These are the only two ladyM stores in the South Bay. I would love to see more stores open, and some competitors too - where is Chikalicious!?
Asian hater store manager alertWe visited the store today 12/18/2020. We were offensively treated by the racialist store manager.Initially we step into the store and a customer service associate told us due to COVID there is a limit of customers in store. So we step out of the store and form a line. Then there are two customers came out and we get in after them complete exit the store. Then this female person yelled at us in very quick speed something to exit the store. I tried to tell her we were come in after two customers just got out. She did not listened to me at all and been rudely ask me out. I was let it go and waiting outside again. Then when another two people got out again another store person asked us to get in. At this time I was waiting in the store. The first female person stare at me hatefully. At my turn I asked to speak with manager, and until then I realized she is the store manager today. I asked her calmly why is she be look at me so unfriendly. Without finishing my sentence, she was use COVID as a disguise for her consistent hatefully attitude towards me by saying it’s COVID and I was arguing with her and push us out of the store.I stayed calm all the time and was so confused why she was so hateful to me. Since she did not allow me to finished any of my word and bombarded me with rash accusation. The only conclusion I can come to is this is a hate act towards Asian.
The store is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The cake taste is the best. But its expensive.
Cake, like so many things, is a matter of personal preference. For me, however, the cakes from Lady M are beautiful, really labor intensive, but just not as rewarding in taste and texture as Id hoped. I found it hard to distinguish between the flavor of the filling and the flavor of the crepes, and the crepes themselves seemed to blend together in texture, as if they were one thick crepe, hiding the intricacies of the many-layered cake. Maybe we just caught them on an off day, but to be really honest, I and my family were a bit disappointed.
The chocolate paleo cake is excellent for paleo diets and chocolate lovers. I ordered this cake for fathers day and my family loved it. I will keep ordering cakes from this bakery.
So over expensive, almost more than a dollar for a small piece of cake. What do you add to ingredients gold water?
Only pistacho is good. Other tastes are awful
Free ice pack is wonderful.
The Matcha Mille was a delight. Personally I lean towards sweet, but not too sweet, and it hit that finicky middle ground perfectly. Not fond of coffee so I didnt order any, but those I visited with said the latte was decent.
Tastes like whipped cream! Which is not so bad, but ... not quite what I expected. Looks nice though!
Stood in line for 30 minutes. They are prepared for all of us. Lots of sales people. Cant wait to taste my pastry. There are a few tables and chairs if you want to eat there.
Good as the nyc one. Store is large and clean, still open in shelter in place period.
The first day they open after the New Year holiday (closed Jan 1 to Jan 9).It is a Friday. They open at 10am, I came 10:05am, there are already 30-40 people in line. 99% of the people are ordering for to go.Waited about 30min until my turn to order. I got the seasonal Earl Gray Mille Crepe cake. 9 inch for $95 ($90 for same size original or green tea). After I ordered mine, I heard the stuffs saying no more Earl Gray. Not sure if because its their first day after the break, selection seems limited, 4 types of Mille Crepe cake( original, green tea, Earl Gray, and pistachio), plus 3 or 4 other cakes.ParkingTheir is a small parking lot, but parking may be an issue if you go during peak time. They dont have phone number or other type of contact for preorder.
Quick and delicious.
Unique cake with many layers, not too sweet. fantastic. moderately priced.
The pistachio cake was amazing!!
Slice sizes, gona make it small to squeeze another slice out of the whole. Ice pack for the journey home, pay up. Fork and napkin for your small sized, mediocre lady m thats overpriced. NOPE. Stick with NYC if you had it there.
Meh, too sweet & expensive.
The service was amazing and very friendly
I like Signature crepe cake, very delicious.
This was amazing. Expensive but amazing.
Very poor service. Rude and inefficient. Worst of all cake stores.
Too sweet
The store was closed when I arrived at 12pm on a Friday...they had sold out...
It says open until 8 pm but already closed at 7:30 pm when I got there. There’s no phone number for this store either.
Closed because sold out. Not open until Friday (1/10/2020)
Very nice cake
They underestimate Bay Area population...
Line is too long.
Like the cake!
A crepe cake restaurant that looks like Los Altos. It was originally started in New York, so I used to deliver it frozen before, but finally there was one in NorCal. The location is good and the interior is the feeling of Lady M. Originally it was a popup, but it is said to be changed to a permanent. It is said to be decorated like a flagship store. The signature cake is fresher than anything in Korea. The espresso machine also has faith in Lamarzzo. The beans are lightly roasted and feel soft. Uniquely located is the Japanese Royce Chocolate Display Stand. More expensive than Japan.
Its quality is excellent
Delicious!!!
