I wasnt too happy with this ice cream experience especially given the prices and relatively smaller servings compared to other ice cream places in the area. Got the blue jasmine and the salted butterscotch. Some points worth noting:- If you register your phone number with them, they will give you complimentary cookie crumbs on one ice cream only.- One scoop is a little more than 5 dollars and you have to pay around $1.25 for a cone.- any toppings cost more- the blue jasmine smells almost sickly sweet (like some cheap perfume)- the salted butterscotch didnt really taste like butterscotch but rather like a caramel vanilla ice cream.- variety of flavours is limitedNot really keen to go back.

I couldn’t wait to try out the new location, however the potions seem really meager now for the price. Guess they must be compensating for rent? Very disappointed, used to be my favorite ice cream stop.

This is our go-to icecream place in San Jose. My gal loves their ice creams more than any other. The ambience around is also very cozy and lively. We visit once every 1-2 months.

High quality, yummy ice cream. I was super excited to try this place as I’ve heard good things. I got the lavender with lemon poppy cookies and the strawberry. I love the creamy texture of their ice cream and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Can’t wait to try all the flavors. There’s no seating, and it’s a very small shop. Recommend grabbing a bench seat or taking a walk downtown.

Highly over rated and this is coming from someone who really knows quality ice cream! If your going to use maple syrup in a flavor then use real maple syrup from Vermont. Not the fake stuff! Staff however was great! But that won’t bring me back to try other flavors. Better off somewhere else than paying their over rated prices!

Coffee nib flavor is delicious. Kids scoop comes with candy eyes and a smile. Like your eating a tiny cold muppet. Vegan option available.

Its popular for a reason, but the larger crowds in tandem with the limited selection of flavors can be a pain, especially for small children.

11/10 ice cream, worth the stop.Never had a bad experience here, the staff are all as sweet as the treats themselves, which speaking of, they have a lot of interesting flavors if you want to shake it up a little. They also have some amazing classics and good go-tos like Malted Milkshake, which I highly much recommend if you havent tried it yet.Id be here every day if I could.

Cute little corner ice cream shop with 7-8 flavors and theres usually a sorbet option.Ice cream is $$$$, we got 2 kids scoops with waffle bowl and the total was $12. So, quality ice cream, just expect to pay for it.

The mint chocolate chip had a true mint flavor, which was cool. The hot fudge and brownie bite additions were a nice touch. I’d be interested to try other flavors and combos.

Nice, cute ice cream shop. All of the signs for the flavors look the same, as well as most of the ice cream - light mixture with bits of stuff (chocolate, cookies, sprinkles). I am glad I was there in the middle of the day so I could ask the nice lady about them. I tried the lavender-poppy seeds one, and it tasted like I was eating my grandmother, but I know some people like it... I ended up getting a scoop of the birthday cake and one scoop of something like cookies and cream. It was really good. Some of the more expensive ice cream Ive had, though I suppose location affects that.

I came to this ice cream store and boy was I amazed. All of their flavors are really good and they have a variety of seasonal flavors too! I decided to try the seasonal cherry amaretto and the ginger cookie and they were both so good! Im normally not a fan of fruity ice cream but this flavor was not too sweet and had a very nice cherry flavor at the end. The ginger cookie ice cream had a nice ginger spice at the end. Id highly recommend anyone to come to this place since its definitely one of my favorites in the South Bay

We love this place for a sweet frozen treat! The ice cream is rich in flavor and delicious, and weve always experienced excellent service here. We sampled a few flavors before buying. They have some unique flavors that are worth trying, and fun toppings (like candy eyes).

The flavors here are decadent and perfect. I have tried four of their ice cream flavors and they were all amazing. The Blueberry flavor actually has pie crust for a nice sweet and salty, yin and yang balance. The birthday cake actually tastes like a really delicious birthday cake. The salted caramel was rich and buttery.Because the flavors are so rich you dont actually need a lot to scratch your ice cream itch.I cant rate this place high enough for the mouth satisfaction you get treating yourself here.

Such delicious flavors! The mint chocolate chip has such a fresh, minty flavor! The malted milk flavor was a frosty trip back to my childhood–just like eating a Whopper candy, only better quality ingredients that satisfied my more grown-up palette. I took some pints home of a few flavors, the staff was very considerate and helpful.One downside was that the prices of the pints werent posted in the freezer where I picked them out--so I didnt know I was going to owe over $20 just for two of them. Its probably posted on the menu at the counter, though. Some flavors have premium ingredients, and they charge extra for those pints; just be sure to check with the staff before you decide what to buy, or you may get some sticker shock.

Tin Pot Creamery has pricey but delicious premium ice cream. Their flavors on display are constantly rotating between different unique and tasty ice cream. The servings are conservative but incredibly rich and creamy. They also have a variety of toppings and a great gourmet waffle cone. Great on a hot day!

Best ice cream in the area, hands down. Delicious standard flavors along with a reasonably large selection of seasonal flavors (mango!), all made in small batches. Dont skip the waffle cone/bowl. A very yummy treat!

Worth a trip for sure. All the flavors I tried were really good. Passion fruit poppy seed is a seasonal one right now thats delicious!Their tcho chocolate is especially awesome as far as chocolate ice creams go. It has thin dark chocolate pieces in it, which are awesome in every bite.

This place can be your go-to neighbor ice cream joint to satisfy your cravings for something cold and sweet. They have plenty of flavors available with great toppings/options. While Im generally a fan of the mint ice cream, I sometimes venture out into other flavors such as early grey or cookie monster.

Great rotation of flavors and their specials are really interesting. For young kids, the cookie monster gets a set of googly eyes that is great for a laugh. The cones, while expensive, are really fresh and tasty.

They must have the Tricks leprechaun making their ice cream because it is wonderfully delicious.The kids scoop comes with eyes and a smile.I like the basic chocolate or mint which is perfectly balanced.The more creative ice creams tend to be too much for my palate but are good in small bites.This is a great stop after eating out about town.

Earl Grey tea will get you hooked, if not the boutique lavender poppy seed parfum, which are a few of the fancy and delectable offerings. The ice cream is dense and rich with true flavors. Caramel butterscotch float fulfills the daily sugar intake for two days. This is a super clean corner ice cream place with to go ice cream treats too.

The butterscotch ice cream is amazing, great choices to select from and even pints to buy back home. My new favorite ice cream place!

This Tin Pot is definitely not as good as the one in Town and Country so if u got the extra gas in the car, I recommend going there. The PA Tin Pot has more flavors and dairy free ice cream (that isnt sorbet). It also has a bigger menu such as tea. Unfortunately the Los Altos one doesnt :(That being said I still love the ice cream here! Best ice cream Ive ever had! Its so smoothe and delicious! The portions are a little small but thats not stopping me from coming back here or even paying for a bigger size :)The texture is just right too! Not too hard or icy and not too soft. The flavors they make are not packed either with too much sugar but just the right amount.Lastly I love that this place accepts Hands Free. Simply just walk up to the register and tell them youll Pay with Google and youre out the door and on your way! LOVE IT!

My daughter and I are big premium local ice cream fans and this is definitely her favorite shop. Highly recommend the cookie monster and the lemon with lavender cookies! We arent fans of the mint--its a bit like eating a bottle of mint oil. The vanilla bean and Tcho chocolate are very good traditional flavors however.

Wasnt as creamy delicious as I thought it would be. I kind of wished I picked up a pint of Hagen Daz from Safeway. The guy working there was patient and let people try a taste. Overall it is always fun to get a treat but the ice cream was a bit of a let down

The ice cream here is one of the best Ive ever had. The lines can be a bit long but the wait is totally worth it. You would be better of just grabbing a pint from the freezer anyways since youll definitely want to come back :)

Alas, Im on a low carb diet. How I miss getting ice cream here. I recommend any of the unusual flavors. Try something new. Though​ the chocolate ice cream is so rich and creamy. They usually have a vegan choice.

Best ice cream in the Los Altos area and best in the South Bay in my opinion, usurped only by options in the City. The Malted Milk is to die for. There are rotating seasonal flavors that tend to really check out (one of the current additions, creme fraiche, is top tier). Rewards program is nice and you can really rack up the free add ons. Definitely worth dropping in.

Tin Pot recently opened in Los Altos, and they seem pretty busy every time I visit. There is no indoor seating due to the small location, but there is some seating outdoors. The Earl Grey is my favorite flavor right now, but all of the flavors have fresh, seasonal ingredients and they are made on site at the store in Palo Alto. I am a sucker for ice cream, and Tin Pot definitely has the best ice cream in the area.

Gourmet, small batch ice cream shop right off Main Street in Los Altos. Flavors are varied and interesting, but I was not blown away by the flavor, texture or experience. Staff is helpful and friendly. Benches on the main street are available to sit and watch the cars drive past. Been to the Town and Country location in Palo Alto, too, and that didnt amaze me, either.

Their Earl Grey flavor is simply addictive! And dont say I didnt warn you: their TCHO chocolate ice cream has set a new bar for us (good bye TJs ultra rich chocolate!!!). Its a good thing we can get to Tin Pot easily!

If you dont mind paying nearly $5 for a scoop of ice cream and $12 for a pint of ice cream (including tax) then its pretty good. However, it will probably be the last time I go because the price is really ridiculous and when I asked for a little spoon tasting, the woman gave me a taste and then was irritated that I didnt order any scoops. I had to remind that I just spent $40 on ice cream. She just gave me a unpleasant look.

Best ice cream 🍨 by far outside of SF. Gives a lot of SF favorites a run for their money on taste. Some flavors rotate and crowd favorites like salted butterscotch is usually available.

Walked in and none of the ice cream in the front case was able to be scooped and sold because it had melted and re-froze. The servers werent good at explaining what happened and didn’t seem very knowledgeable. We opted to buy very expensive pre-packaged servings from another freezer. The chocolate chip was fine, as good as Baskin Robbins, but for more than twice the price, I expected far better.

The ice cream is great, but despite the website saying they are open for takeout during the pandemic, you may want to call to be sure there is somebody inside the store first. We arrived to see a sign saying that theyd be back in 30 minutes but no idea how long ago the sign was put up. Left with no ice cream when nobody answered the phone listed in the call to order instructions.

Kids with nut allergy can enjoy scoops of ice creams.
