They did the through background checks by law which made me feel good that they go through the proper steps to ensure safety. These guys are awesome!! Great atmosphere, clean store with a wide range of merchandise, everything is in very good condition and very fair priced. Overall a very nice place, the best in town!! I feel bad not knowing their names because I would certainly address them by name right now if i I did know, but the lady there was awesome when dealing with her. Super friendly, got very close to what I was asking for when selling some items. I felt really good with her offer and would definitely go back again. The gentleman was also very friendly and very helpful. I was there right as they were closing and they still helped me. The gentleman even put his paperwork down, now past close, and showed me some firearms I was interested in. Most would roll their eyes or show some sign of being annoyed but this gentleman did everything all with a big smile, laughing together while he also gave me a ton of knowledge about some of their badass guns for sale!! Went to this shop because their website showed golf clubs and lots of them.When I went there there were ZERO golf clubs, basically no sporting equipment.The store had very low stock on the floor. Ever hear of updating a web site! Good selection of guns and coins if your looking for that.Prices I noticed were high and some items priced close to new retail!!Know what your buying is worth before plunking down your hard earned money.Friendly lady working there who blew cigarette smoke at me outside when saying goodbye.. Yuuuck!!

We drove by and saw their outstanding selection of used guitars and had to go in! The people up front were friendly and very welcoming. Ended up buying a nice acoustic guitar! Definitely a weekly shopper from now on!

Stopped by this shop while visiting after Christmas, and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The shop is very clean, well lit, and well organized. The staff is friendly and helpful, very eager to answer questions without feeling like they’re “selling” to you. Bathroom was spacious and clean, and even the toilet paper was the expensive kind! My brother and I ended up leaving with two pieces of WWII history that we just couldn’t pass up. Highly recommend this shop whether you’re a local or a tourist.

This is a pawn shop unlike all other pawn shops. You get the feeling of a “mom and pop” store when you talk the the staff at friendly’s. I recently bought a older rifle, and the entire process was low pressure, when I decided to go home and think about it for the night, they didn’t try to pressure me or push. I came back the next day to the same friendly attitude! Shops here first

I originally went to go sell some old music equipment I wasnt using and Scott( one of the gentleman who works there was extremely helpful and even allowed me to double-check to make sure I didnt sell a sentimental guitar strap.Theyre one of the few places in northern Colorado where you can go pawn or loan something and feel good and secure ite about itWould recommend five out of five timesEspecially if your a musician!!

I was a big fan of these guys, but my opinion has since changed a little. First I bought some ammo from these guys. The 9mm ammo is good, but the .22lr ammo is defective with 1 out of 5 being complete duds in 3 different firearms that have no issues with other ammo. I had a few firearms transferred through these guys and it was a simple process, although a bit costly ($20 for each firearm. Despite being bought from the same website they had separate FFLs on each rifle so $20 each). However, while I was there I mentioned the bad ammo and the guy told me there must be something wrong with my rifle not hitting the primer hard enough. However, I have plenty of experience with these and could clearly see the well dented primers on the dud ammo. I also explained how my .22lr firearms have no issues with other ammo, but he still just dismissed me entirely. Despite these issues, they had still earned a 4 star review from me for my overall experience at that point.Where things went downhill are when I was selling a rifle from my private collection to an individual and needed their help facilitating the legal transfer. The guy stated that they refuse to handle any private transfers as it violates his rights. I suppose meaning I shouldnt be allowed to sell my firearm to anyone, except a dealer so he can make a profit off of it? At first I thought he meant that the law violates my rights as a owner by forcing me to go through an FFL for a background check in order to sell my rifle, but if that were the case he would still want to help me instead of making it more difficult for me to follow the law.He also told me good luck finding anyone around here who will do that! However, the pawn shop right down the road (near Sams) will do the private party transfer for $10. It was an incredibly smooth process and they are super friendly.

Great store! Drove up from Denver for a Sig Sauer P238 and Scott put it aside and had a great conversation about it. Good prices and great selection of firearms. A+ and will be back!

Came in with a bleeding cut on my arm and asked to use their sink to clean up. After letting me use the bathroom, one of the workers helped me dress it.While walking around the store, I noticed how good their instrument selection is. I’m gonna start by saying I’ve never been to this store nor have a purchased anything from them BUT! Despite all that they were happy to help me and take the time with a question I had. I work at a gun shop in central Minnesota and saw that they had a similar firearm that we took in listed on their armslist profile. I asked them if they could help me with a missing part and it’s dimensions and they didn’t hesitate to email me back with what I needed. That tells me they are truly friendly. Found a rifle on Armslist sold by Friendly Pawn. I decided to stop by and check it out. Once I arrived I was greeted right away, and I let them know what I was looking for. When they showed me the rifle, I was pleased to find it had a reduced priced. While I was still taking look at it, I was told that if I was interested they would try to give me a deal, so I said yes, and sure enough they took it down a couple dollars. Said I would buy it, and while they were doing the paper work, I looked for a scope. Found one for a reasonable price, and this time I asked them if they could do a little better on the price. Since the scope was already kind of low priced they did not take it down much, but over all I was able to walk out with the rifle I wanted and a scope for just a little bit more that what I was thinking of paying for the rifle by its self. Left there a truly happy customer and plan to start stopping by more often. Only word of advice, like most used placed, you what to know what your buying and what its worth BEFORE making a purchase.

Purchased a firearm online and had it delivered to this location for transfer. Very neat establishment. The two older gentleman I spoke with were very nice and friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone & will revisit in the future.

Rafael Martinez is definitely the outlier here. Nothing less than 5 star service. This place is called friendly pawn for a reason, (Pam is one of the sweetest ladies I have ever met, you guys cant pay her enough!)

I have done a few firearm transfers here. Everyone is very helpful and friendly. I have always been met with a smile and great customer service while in this establishment. I will be doing more business here.

I emailed them about a firearm and then called to double check that they would trade my guns for this one gun. I drove 2.5 hrs to be told to go screw myself. I was lowballed beyond belief getting offered less than a quarter in trade value than what they go for on gun broker. The woman was nice, the dude was blatenly rude. Wouldnt ever do business with them.

I Brought in a few vintage items that the ladies were looking over which was fine. But then started playing with. Not only that they pulled things out of my bags without asking and while one of them was trying to get a music bottle to play its music she manhandled it till it broke. Then when I got upset and called her out on it of course it wasnt her fault it was the old glues fault I was called malicious about being asked to be reimbursed for the damaged item. I really cant believe the way myself and my things were treated today. Ive been a customer many times before with no issues till today and Ill never go back now. I get my things were old but I literally watched her mess with it to much till it broke .... Then you tell me its my fault. Real good way to do buisness.

I visit alot of pawn shops all around Colorado looking for firearms to add to my collection. Most pawn shops are chain stores selling junk at inflated prices and unwilling to communicate with you as a person. I feel like most pawn brokers at other shops hate being their and dont really want to sell anything. I stopped in to Friendly pawn today with my wife and kids after seeing a listing on armslist for a handgun I desired. Upon arriving the outside of the building was very nice and clean with Nothing spilling out into the parking lot. As we entered the pawn shop was big and very well organized. Everything was in its own sections and it really felt like the owner and employees took pride In that store and enjoyed engaging with their customers as well as each other. I walked to the gun case and a pawn broker named Scott came over and asked if I wanted to look at anything. We talked about the revolver i was interested in and he shared stories of his exact same revolver he has on him. I cant stress enough how friendly Scott was and how it seemed like he wanted to sell me something instead of run a museum. As we went to check out we worked out a deal on my revolver and he also tossed in a speed loader for free. Without a doubt I will be a lifelong customer and refer all of my buddies to Friendly pawn. Scott thank you for an amazing buying experience and good conversation my children loved your kindness with giving them a peice of candy to keep them happy while I shopped. I dont see how anyone could have had a negative experience here everyone that I encountered here was amazing.

Honestly probably one of the best pawnshops Ive been to great staff the owner ray we sat and talked for about an hour about hunting and just different things something you dont get to do much anyone great place not bad on the prices theyll work with you on them

Thieves and liars!! My wife and I traded in a Ruger LCP .380 in mint condition along with 6 factory magazines, factory box, original paperwork and 300 rounds of ammunition for a Ruger LC9 9mm with one magazine and nothing else. I called the store the very next day to let them know that the weapon was defective, and Scott let me know that they would either pay to send it back to the manufacturer which would leave my wife without a gun for two months, or they would pay to have it repaired locally. I got off the phone with Scott and Called the gunsmith that he suggested and the gunsmith quoted me a $60-$70 price. I called Scott back and let him know that and all of a sudden they had changed their mind and now my only option was that I could bring the gun back and get my original weapon back. I asked him what about the money that we spent for the background check, and he said that Friendly Pawn would not do anything about that so basically my options are to keep a defective weapon or to return it and to have lost money dealing with these individuals. I would recommend doing business with anyone else on Earth before these individuals.UPDATE: This company has now acknowledged their one-year repair guarantee on their firearms and stated in writing to the Better Business Bureau their intention to violate their one-year repair guarantee on this firearm. This company also falsely accused me of committing a crime in writing to the Better Business Bureau by accusing me of slander for recounting this incident. If this company chooses to refute these statements or chooses to respond to this review in a negative or hostile way, I will post the entire conversation with the Better Business Bureau on this review in my next update.UPDATE 3/01/2019: A typical and expected argumentative response from this business that is again full of lies and half truths. I strongly caution anyone reading this review to take this company’s response is with a grain of salt, and if you go through all of their Google reviews, you will see a demonstrated history of passing the blame and sarcastic responses to any review left on this site that isn’t perfect. I have now requested the full transcript of the interactions between myself and this low quality business from the Better Business Bureau and I will be posting the entire conversation in another update on this review once I receive it. You will then see from the ownerships own mouth how quickly they walk back there guarantee once you make your purchase and how quickly they will slander you if you are not happy with their sub standard products or their sub standard business practices. Another update will follow. In addition, I spoke to the Better Business Bureau supervisor in charge of this complaint on yesterday February 28, 2019 and they misunderstood the complaint because of the ownerships continually changing and untruthful responses. Therefore, they have agreed to re-open this complaint as of February 28, 2019.P.S. - To make sure that I can educate the ignorant individuals at this pawnshop as to the meaning of slander: slander is when you repeat a recollection of events that is knowingly untrue. I have every legal right to recount this horrible experience and to tell anyone publicly or privately about the lies you told to me and my wife as well as the BBB. Therefore, I absolutely intend to continue telling the story by voice and in writing to anyone who will listen for as long as I live in Loveland. For being dishonest with my wife and myself during our business dealings, I absolutely intend to make it my mission to cost this pawnshop as much business as I possibly can, and it would be my dream to see this establishment go out of business due to their substandard business practices. Im honestly not sure why they call it friendly pawn. I understand if they are not interested in what you have to offer, its a business, they want to make money. I dont understand however, being treated rude in the process. Even when you read the reviews and their responses to the upset customers, they are rude, borderline degrading. Its humiliating enough to even have to come in and get a loan so you can get by, but to have these people to be so pretentious, its not worth it.

Ive been in here a few times. The first time wasnt really a problem. Everyone was somewhat helpful and in an okay mood. The second time i went in i had called before hand and asked about pawning my old snowboard. The person on the phone was nice and said they did take them and i could bring it in any time. I brought it in and as i walked through the door i was practically yelled at that they did not take snowboards. When i asked if they knew of a place that did they responded with should have called. The last and final time i went in was to pawn some stuff with my boyfriend and a friend of his. As we walked in we were not greeted with smiles or a hi how are you. Instead they lookes at the items in our hands and rudely stated they did not take those. They were looking for new things. We said thanks and walked out. The entire experience has shown me that this is not so friendly. Instead it is a rude environment where the people always look like they are in a bad mood.I am not inpressed by this establishment at all.
