Ive been to eyeglass world a few times with family and friends. I recently referred a friend and her son to eyeglass world. And because of Crystal my friend is referring her friends. My friends son is autistic and he was very comfortable. From the beginning Crystal found ways to be relatable and make him comfortable. All the while answering phones, checking other people in(while other employees were just sitting around on their cell phones)this girl was running around like I saw her do when I was there. When it was time to do the exam my friends son was scared but Crystal found a way to turn it into a game. She asked him if he likes video games his face lit-up and together they played some zombie game but she was able to get him pretested which has always been difficult. That made the exam with Dr. Hubbard so much easier. When they found out they had the same favorite color, in between Crystal doing her daily tasks when we got done with the exam she had specially picked out a couple pairs of glasses he might like. She went over the store promotions VS using insurance, all the while running around answering phones, doors, helping other people cheery and upbeat.. She helped us every step of the way until she had to pass us unto the next process. I highly recommend Dr. Hubbard as he is very thorough and educated. And eyeglass world is very lucky to have Crystal. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!
I visited Eyeglass World in Madison Heights recently for an eye exam and to purchase contact lenses. It was an excellent experience.First the eye exam, Dr. Hubbard was fantastic. Friendly and outgoing, he really took the time and put in the effort to make sure my prescription was exact as possible. Above and beyond in explaining everything and making sure I walked away a happy customer.Next purchasing my contacts. The gentleman at the front desk was professional and informative. He told me of a deal for a year supply of contacts that included an in-store discount and an online rebate. Saved me a good deal of money. They had my contacts in stock but if not they offered to ship the contacts directly to me.In and out in less than an hour, treated very courteously and professionally while there, Eyeglass World in Madison Heights is where I will go from now on.
Crystal who works at the desk was very very helpful and friendly! She took the time to check my insurance even though mine was out of state. Crystal does allot of work for one person, which impressed me greatly! As a doctor and assistant professor, I work with allot of nurses and faculty who are responsible for doing multitasking workload that gets exhausted and frustrates them at times. Crystal reminds me of them because she keeps a professional good attitude irrespective of the workload shes responsible for. Highly recommend That she gets promoted!!!!
I never thought Id have to give a bad review for something that should be a simple and easy process. My eye exam was quick and easy but then filling my prescription was a nightmare. Make sure you are 110% aware of what your insurance covers before speaking with anyone, even the manager. They will try everything they can to add things on or tell you your insurance doesnt cover this or that. I had to leave without my prescription filled due to poor customer service. The rep I spoke with even argued with the assistant manager after she was told my insurance covered both glasses and contacts. Wasted time out of my day driving there. Also, was told my frames purchased, not from their office, could be broken when filled and that it happens often. It could be the Madison Heights location only so this is specifically for their office. Oh, and this was my third trip there as they ordered bi-weekly instead of daily contacts and couldnt cancel the order. I had to drive back to get refunded and then charged again for another order. Overall, a nightmare.
What a great experience! I had my exam earlier in the year at another provider, so I just needed to use my insurance before the end of the year. The staff was great, they took great precaution to make sure it was still a safe experience (despite the pandemic). My temperature was taken at the door, and I was explained a process of putting glasses into red bins if I didnt like them, instead of putting them back up, so they could be cleaned.The whole staff was wonderful, but Angela was EXCEPTIONAL, she gave me helpful suggestions, but wasnt pushy. She explained lens options and helped me to make the best decision for my use. Ill definitely be back once my insurance restarts at the beginning of the year.
First time a pair didnt have any correction lenses in them and had to be shipped back out. Today I wanted to replace my lenses and was told this morning to come anytime before they close to swap the lenses out and it would take 15 minutes. I arrived an hour before close and was told I would have to come back tomorrow. I live an hour away.
Great experience with the doctor. Terrible that I paid $400 for 2pairs and can only use one. The older male assistant was rude, told me what I was telling him was simply not true and dismissed my concerns over these issues. I will NEVER go back here!
Excellent service from almost everyone there, excluding one woman. Very boisterous and talkative with her coworkers, but very short and flat with us as customers. It paints a very clear picture of not wanting to serve, just wanting to get paid and fool around. Im all for fun at work, but carry it over to your customer service.
Dr.Hubbard was a excellent optometrist. He took care of all my questions. Friendly staff, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
First things first, I came here because I was told they take care credit. This is true for glasses and contact purchases, but not for the eye exam. They should be more transparent about this on their website. I came in on February 17th to get and eye exam and contacts. Paid out of pocket for the eye exam after the fact ($100)and was given a trial pair of contacts. They immediately didn’t feel right, but I was told by the doctor to try them for a couple of days and my eyes should adjust. After two days of constant headaches (right eye was way out of focus), I returned to the store to see the doctor to tell him the issues. He told me that the generic lenses he gave me aren’t sitting on my eye correctly and I’d have to change brands to bausch & Lomb.(much more expensive lens). This is after I ordered the other lenses and had them shipped to my house. I had to wait til I received them, then return to the store for a 3rd time to return them and order the more costly lenses. After ordering the new lenses on Feb 24th, I had them shipped to my house again and was hoping to put this experience behind me. 3 weeks went by and I didn’t receive my contacts, or even a confirmation that they had shipped. I contacted the store and was told that they were being held up by USPS. I was concerned because my trial pair is only good for a month, so they had me to come in for a fourth visit to get another trial pair(not my exact prescription either) while I wait. Another week goes by and nothing. I call again and I’m told that my contacts are on back order(until 4/2/21!) and hadn’t been shipped yet! I tell them this is BS and didn’t like being lied to. I asked to cancel the order and they said they couldn’t because they were being shipped to my house....at this point, I go to SVS Vision to get glasses(using my script from eyeglass world). I finally receive my contacts 5 weeks after purchasing and decided to keep them and not go back to return them. I put my new contacts in and have the same blurry problem I was having before, but now in my left eye... I go back for a 5th visit to return the contacts, but they will only return the boxes I didn’t open, so I’m stuck with a 6 month supply of contacts I won’t use. I just picked up my glasses, and I find I STILL have blurred vision out of my left eye. Incorrect script form the start... now I have $150 worth of contacts and $665 worth of glasses(2 pair) and still can’t see correctly. The only reason I’m leaving 2 stars is Dan. He seemed to be the only one truly concerned and trying help. Won’t be returning.
The exams was reasonable Dr. told me he didn’t see any reason why I couldn’t get the same day glasses.The man fitting me for glasses told me it would be 7/8 days at the most. At this point I was a bit annoyed,. The main reason I went there was the fact that I need a quick turnaround. Still waiting for my glasses for 2 weeks now. Don’t ever believe that you can get 2 pair for $78.00. Don’t believe you will get your glasses in a day. Don’t believe you will get your glasses in a week. I spent close to $1000.00. There are better places to go.Update I did get my glasses after a two and 1/2 week wait. The lense of my sunglasses literally popped right out as I was trying them on. I did get a complimentary cleaning kit for my troubles.
Great team and attitudes. Woman with head cover and nose ring, has nose exposed and sharing germs. She seems friendly but little regard for safety. Everyone else (4 other employees observed) conscientious.

I took an appointment for my younger brother and drove 1 hour to get to the clinic in the end the drs receptionist said shes an hour behind and kicked me out so rude!!!!!!

This place advertisement is misleading. They advertise their glasses for 2 pair for $78 however with the up charges for the lenses it goes up to around $400.00. The customer service is not good especially the greeter. Very nasty disposition to the customers .
Meghan was absolutely wonderful her customer service and attitude are un matched she is the epitomy of service with a smile . I dont think I will go anywhere else in the future every one was super nice but meghans customer service and suggestions regarding the colors and shapes were such a huge help!! 100% recommend!
Gave it a 4 star because staff is amazing but prices are high. Went the for the first time thinking I would get a better deal but American best is way cheaper. In American best I would spend about $450. On 2 pairs of glasses,contacts nd insurance. While at eyeglasses world I spend almost $700. Out of pocket with the insurance discount
They were very respectful the place was clean and all the employees had a smile on their face or laughing with their customer. I went back the next day to get my reading glasses then they told me my prescription glasses would take 7 to 10 days to get back. In two days they called me it said my prescription eyeglasses was ready to pick up. I would recommended Eyeglass World to all my family and friends. And please do not go to America Best ! ! !
By far the best place Ive ever gone for glasses. Every person I worked with was super friendly and professional yet down to earth. Their prices are fantastic and the fact my glasses were ready within a couple hours was amazing. The doctors and the sales people were great to work with. This is my place to get glasses from now on.
Eyeglass World is AMAZING. I made my appointment and was able to get my glasses in the same day! I was in there for about an hour. In that hour I received an eye exam and was able to pick out my glasses than picked up them up an hour later. The entire process took about three hours from book my appointment to actually receiving the glasses. Talk about FAST SERVICE!I definitely recommend everyone to come here. The glass frames and eye exam are extremely budget friendly and there are loads to choose from. Eyeglass World, you just gained a raving fan! Thanks again to everyone who helped me - Dan + Nate and everyone who was kind enough to guide me through the process! :)
Very well run outfit! I was running late because I had trouble driving without glasses, but everyone was understanding, and they quickly accommodated me with two new pair within hours!
I went here in December 2018 and had an amazing experience. The staff and the doctor were so helpful and you can’t beat their prices. I booked an appointment for my husband to see them today and the doctor had to leave so our appointment got cancelled. They said they tried to contact us before hand but it appears they sent an email (no phone call) which we didn’t see. The doctor was very short and rude to us, no apology whatsoever for us coming out there and not being seen. The general manager was very kind and apologetic which caused me to reschedule the appointment. This second experience was very upsetting, only because the doctor was so rude. My husband wants to go somewhere else but I convinced him to try them again because my experience was so great. I guess we’ll see what happens next time. Hopefully it goes better.I have to reiterate though that the 2 gentlemen that work in the office and on the floor are truly amazing!!!!

Woke up to find that my dog had completely destroyed my glasses. Called the store to find out that my glasses were covered, but that the frames I loved had been discontinued. Robert went above and beyond by calling around to different stores to see if they still had them. Not only did he find them, but he was super nice and understanding throughout the whole process- I pick up my replacements Wednesday.Staff at this location is awesome and super helpful. Would recommend to anyone looking to purchase new glasses. :)

Excellent experience from start to finish. I lost my spectacles the previous evening and was in a real bind (on vacation from another state) because I couldnt see as I needed to. I thought I was going to have to curtail my holiday until I found this place. I was extremely grateful to have come across this establishment and even more grateful after getting my replacement glasses. Dr. Hubbard was ths best! He was both professional and personable in his approach with me. Erin was a peach. When I arrived, she assisted in completing my preliminary paperwork due to my inability in reading the small print. She also assisted me in finding the best frame(s) that suited my face and personality. All in all,I was pleased with my encounter here. I would definitely return. Hopefully I will be more careful in watching where I place my glasses so I wont have to.. Lol.

I went to Eyeglass World for a last minute eye exam (scheduled yesterday, seen today). After having issues with my vision after a LASIK procedure in 2014 and a subsequent PRK enhancement procedure in 2019 --- I was starting to lose trust with my provider and needed to get a second opinion.Dr. Hubbard, who I think does all the eye exams in the SE Michigan area for Eyeglass World, went ABOVE AND BEYOND to answer all of my questions and concerns. To put things in perspective, I spent ~$50 to have a doctor give me one-on-one, informative, and personalized advice --- for a full hour.I did not end up getting any contacts or glasses on this trip, so I cannot comment on that side of the house, but I highly highly recommend at least using Eyeglass World for your annual eye exam. I never take the time to write reviews like this, but you certainly earned this one Dr. Hubbard.
If youre shopping for contacts, the staff at this store is great however, beware that your exam may only be good for 1 brand of contacts. I was not informed of this at the time of sale and went online to order color contacts. I received an email that my purchase was not processed due to me wanting the wrong brand of contacts. After calling the toll free number several times (my calls went directly to a voicemail), I finally got through to somebody and was told I had to pay for another eye exam for a different brand. Thankfully the Doctor resolved my issue without making me pay for another exam not even a week after my first. Kudos!
I needed glass ASAP, mine had broken. I called up a little after they opened and asked if they could possibly get me glasses same day. I arrived at 10:30am and I had glasses in hand by 12:15. Single vision lenses, both pairs. Everyone was nice and friendly, I highly recommend. :-)
When there four different times for the same glasses each time the Prescription was wrong basically ending up with a new pair glasses with my old prescriptions in them never again and the glasses that I got the arm fell off
Very reasonable. Got 2 pair of glasses and an exam for under $500, and one pair was designer, all lenses were the best available and had upgrades. Theyve replaced one pair and tuned one for me a few times. Most associates are very courteous and friendly, with the exception of one woman that is beyond loud and obnoxious (which I refused to allow to help me)
This is never happened to me!!!I purchased a monthly contacts subscription and they told me they will ship me package of 6 pairs of contacts every 3 months. And then they ended up sending me ONLY 3!!! So I went to the store and told the one of the stuff ( mike ) about what happened he said don’t worry I will take care of it you can leave. I waited for 2 weeks and then visited the store AGAIN and he told me that “YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM BECAUSE WE CANNOT DO IT HERE” OK!!So I called the costumer service (15 minutes on hold) then they told me they will contact the store and call me the next day. Nothing happened so i had to call them again after 3 days and then she told me there’s something wrong with the payment and we will give you a call tomorrow to confirm everything. ABD NOTHING HAPPENED!!!! So ridiculous!
Paid almost $700 for 2 pair of glasses in May, used their product to clean and kept glasses in case when not wearing themStem broke off. Will let u know if I get any satisfaction.
Shout out to @eyeglassworld on 14 and John R in Madison Heights. EVERYTIME I need ANYTHING their customer service is on point. Today’s situation was needing sunglasses made within 1 hour. They usually do same day glasses but I needed these for my Florida trip stat because the whole wearing huge sunglasses over regular glasses is inconvenient and ugly pahahaha. I wasn’t expecting to get them but asked anyways and they made it happen! I’ve never had prescription sunglasses before. I don’t know the manager’s name, and I should but he is amazing!

Not happy. Went thru the same problem back in 2015 waiting months foe my glassea to come in. Give them the benefit of the doubt and tried them again. With my insurance i paid $572.00. And that was the cheapest pair. To make matters worst. Still not right. They remade the first pair and still the same problem. Not right. Eyeglass world whomever you have working there cutting the lenses isnt doing it properly and resulted in a very dissatisfied customer who has spent a hefty amount of money with you. Pay attention to this message. Word of mouth/ bad news travels fast via social. Smh disappointed. Very disappointed.

Scheduling issues. I have scheduled an exam appt 2 times. The first I came in only to find out that the doctor wasnt in and that I was scheduled at a time when the doctors usually werent in. The second time I was scheduled for a Saturday and was called late Friday to be told that I needed to be rescheduled again because of the doctor and scheduling conflicts! Regardless to say, I will be going elsewhere
I came here based on the reviews. The location was extremely busy but they were not organized and had to wait 10 minutes before being addressed. My son needed glasses for school otherwise I would have left.
