When you buy glasses they shouldn’t break after 2 months and then have to pay for another pair SVS should be responsible for a new pair not the customer

Drove up walked in and each person working asked me why I was there. Funny thing you walk into a vision store to look for glasses. Maybe they thought I was there to look for lumber. Felt uncomfortable right away. People have forgotten how to interact with customers. Rude right out of the gate.

I booked an appointment three weeks in advance. When I showed up they were closed. So Im able to book an appointment and you can waste my time? I wouldnt have wasted my time doing all that if I wasnt trying to see. Theres a picture of the place and a screenshot of the confirmation/reminder from the place along with the time.

Good overall experience. I absolutely LOVE Dr. Brinker. Hes awesome! They must have been busier than usual when I picked up my sons glasses, though, because it was a curbside appointment and when I called I was placed on hold so long the phone automatically hung up on me. It was well over ten minutes. Other than that frustration, my experience was great!

Fast, professional exam by Dr. Ryan. Dan helped me choose the frames which best complimented my style. Prices were a bit high but, not completely out of this world. I recommend this office for your vision needs.

Good service. Cindy is very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Brinker is excellent. Very happy I used their services. Some other staff members not as helpful. Had an issue with how the lab made the lenses. Thst was rectified efficiently.

Its the worst place. You can only make appointment months before the appointment. Very disrespectful. They dont help people that dosen’t speak English. Not care for thier patients. Very very very bad place.For clarification the place that I went to is 5761 Twelve Mile Rd and they treated me differently because i didn’t speak English. And they denied every solution that I gave them for example, translating over the phone, or calling my son for translating or providing me with a translator, and That makes me mad.

Fast, convenient, professional, easy. This place is an outstanding option for anyone that wants to get a nice pair of glasses and get on with their life.

Waited over a Month for a Appointment here to be Canceled the day of. Terrible Customer Service. Then told to wait till April for another appointment. Terrible. Go somewhere else.

Everyone there is super nice and super helpful. Dr. Brinker is one of the best eye doctors Ive encountered he is very knowledgeable in his field. Tamara was awesome she helped me pick out a very nice pair of frames, I am very excited to get my new glasses thank you guys!

We had a wonderful experience here. There were absolutely no issues at all. Everyone was friendly from the receptionist, to the optometrist to the optician. There were three of us that had to get glasses myself and my two young Sons, ages 9 and 8. We went on a Thursday, and Eyeglasses were ready the following Monday. We had an excellent experience and I would highly recommend them.I felt absolutely no pressure whatsoever to buy anything extra. As a matter of fact it was the opposite. The optician told me not to buy anything extra because since they are so young, that they may break them. And just to buy what the insurance covers. My insurance covered the exam and a selection of frames. The frames that they chose that my insurance covered were beautiful and everyone is very happy.

This SVS location is my absolute favorite. FANTASTIC, FRIENDLY staff (optician Lakeisha is my GIRL! Shes always completely honest and upfront... and shell tell you if something doesnt look good on you!) a great selection of frames. Always satisfied with my experience there.

I was so impressed with how easily and quickly I was able to pick out and order my new glasses! I imagined that I would be here for hours, but instead, I was done within 45 minutes! David was very helpful in suggesting frames and lenses. He gave honest feedback about what did/did not look best and he made it easy to understand my insurance coverage and out-of-pocket costs. The office staff was equally helpful and very friendly. Thank you all for making my experience a pleasant one!

We had a great experience here, Latoya and Cherice are amazing! Thank you ladies for all your help it was so appreciated! My kids just had appointments, but they figured out a way to squeeze me in the same day. Everyone there was so helpful and professional.

Everyone was very helpful and relaxed and present....the exam was very engaged, I understood more about my personal eye situation...and the women helping to me to pick glass frames...(wow, that is a hard thing to pick frames that you will be wearing for awhile), and they were so warm and friendly and caring and lol, patient! Everything was explained, no hard up sell, just information, information, information. What can be a stressful event, worked out just fine...due to staff being happy and knowledgeable! You can really tell when people are happy and engaged in their work, making it pleasurable and fun...what a bonus for the client!

The doctor here is thorough, explains everything to you every step of the way during the exam. She was very nice and friendly! There is a more mature Caucasian gentleman that is thorough as well and not pushy. There is a woman named Keisha there that is nice as well and helped me find a pair in store that would work for my style and face structure. She saved me a trip to another store. There was a small wait on a Saturday morning which ticked me a little because I was on time for my appt. However, everyone I encountered made up for it by providing EXCELLENT customer service!

Everyone is very nice. The eye doctor is very thorough with his exam. The techs take time and make sure you are happy with what you picked out.

Fixed a pair of glasses which the arms were too wide to where the frames would slide off my face very easily. Also made the purchase of frames with a Groupon a fun one. Went in for frames last week and I received a texts saying they are ready for pick up today. My only gripe is that their prices for lenses are insane. I suggest ordering frames online. Online the lenses will be way cheaper with anti-glare, etc...

The eye doctor was very informative about my eyes and what my prescription was going to be. The optician was very nice and very helpful in picking out the right glasses for me. I would recommend anyone to go here. 😃

Exam was good 1st time ..glasses came in and didnt seem right rescheduled exam and got a different prescription.much better. However one lens popped out and I took them in to get fixed..seemed fine but I see now that the wire that goes around the frame is poking out. I keep catching my lens towel on it and finally poked my thumb on it today..so I guess its back to the store again this week

On 12/28/2017 I walked into SVS Vision in Detroit. ( 8 mile and Woodward location). Inside were no customers and two employees who were both on their phones. I walked over to check out some glasses. After a few minutes of being ignored I walked out. I was never even spoken to by the two employees. Decided to try the Madison Heights location. A world of difference. LaToya was very helpful as well as the store manager and doctor who gave me an exam. I ended up buying two pair and will be a return customer next year.

Nice selection of frames but very scam like i was told id get a pair of frames half off the first pair was covered by my insurance the second pair was 80 plus lens were 40 the lady rings it up says 140 i said no thats not right then she says 111 i didnt know we were bartering now?? And still not half off they price everything incredibly high also

I was planning to get my glasses at Wal-Mart - they were recommended to me and I purchased my last pair there.SVS consultant showed me that I could save alot over what I paid last time.The consultant pulled 3 pair of glasses she thought would be right for me. One was a definite no and two were right on - took some time to decide which I wanted.I will return to SVS next year and highly recommend them tio others.

Very polite and nice employees but ordering contacts has not been an easy experience for me. The 1st time they ordered the wrong prescription and the second time they never submitted the order. The frustration has sent me looking for a new lens provider. That was mid 2016. Today, Jan 2017, called to see if my contacts were in, yes. Go to pick them up only to see a hand written sign on the door at 1:15pm saying closed from 1-2 for lunch. Huh?? Does corporate know you close for lunch? Probably not! I walked in and got my contacts anyway after being told by 2 different employees.... were closed! Just give me my already paid for order! And lock the dang door if your closed! Never, ever, ever going back there again!

If you need personalized help finding the right glasses for your situation do not go to this location. After being there for 15 minutes I told them my situation and all she did was point me over to a small section and then she walked away and waited on other customers and never came back. I guess they dont need customers!!! I will never return back!!! In my opinion they dont even deserve one star but in order for me to post this I had to show one star

I took my 10 year old who hates glasses here for his eye exam he was very pleased with his selection. The Eye doctor was very pleasant and patient with my son. i had a small misunderstanding with my appointment for my glasses but it was strengthened out effortlessly. I ordered safety glasses on April 4th 2017. I have been calling and calling and couldnt get any answers or return phone calls back as to why I dont have my glasses yet. I finally get a hold of safety at my plant and they found out in 1 day that SVS sold me the wrong frames and there was a hold put on my order on April 5th 2017. Today 10/31/17 is the day I find out, 7 months later, why I dont have my glasses. Still noone from SVS has returned my phone calls. Not to mention I paid to upgrade the glasses. I cant believe I picked the frames out of the limited pile that the SVS rep gave me to choose from and they were not approved by Ford. Highly disappointed!!! I had even talked to the manager 2 times and even she promised me answers and a phone call back, and still nothing... If I could post zero stars I would.

Today I called the first time, to get my prescription and the lady was very polite we tried to fine it and she could not, so I called the store (macomb) I had originally for my prescription from and she was polite and kindly said she was unsure why the SVS in Madison Heights couldnt find it and I could pick it up or she can fax to them and I can pick it up there. I said Great! So had her fax to Maddison heights since they were unable to find it the first time. Second call to the Madison heights store... a man with a delicate voice (name unknown) helped me, I informed him of the situation he put me on hold for sometime, I was patient; came back on and said oh! I found you but your prescription expired in May. (Mind you its June 3rd) I said I know thats ok can I still have my numbers. Maam, it is expired again I said understand that but can I still get it. Again with a vary rude voice it is expired it is a prescription like drugs I said again I know that but can you give it to me anyway it expired like 3 days ago ( again never told them why I wanted it....not even using for new glasses). He then again got high pitched rude and slowly said it is expired. Not until I had to drop an F bomb did he still not answer my simple yes you can or no you cannot question and what to do from there. I replied with I am not F-ing dumb, it is a yes or no question I am asking you, can I have it and what do I need to do if not. Ea not sure how much he heard because his ignorant personality hindered him from doing his job and he hung up. I will never go there ever again I seriously just wanted a very easy answer answered my othour a snotty its expired just because it was a year ago 3 days before I think my question was legit and if not I was willing to do what needed.... but I guess SVS doesnt like money.
