Honest mechanic with fair pricing. Very reliable and fast

I went in for a diagnostic only and was supposed to receive my vehicle back within a few hours but they ended up keeping it overnight and I didnt get it back until afternoon the next day which was an inconvenience. The price I was told for the diagnostic would be $99 but I was charged $108+to get the exact same diagnosis I told them was the problem which other mechanics had already diagnosed. And lastly it was by far the highest estimate I received 05 for a transmission rebuild. Saying all that the owner and wife were professional, courteous and playing old sweet people and I actually felt more comfortable dealing with them than any of the other mechanics truthfully. They will referred by a church member so I had a sense of comfort going in. No I will say that I do believe if I chose to get the work done there that it will be done right the first time and I believe that if there was a problem that they would corrected. Thats just my personal opinion. I did choose not to have the work done because the price for exceeded what I intended to pay so I decided to just go a different route but definitely would consider zoomtech for work in the future depending on the price. Best experience with the owner Brett and his wife. Very good people.

Heard great things about this place on Facebook, so when my car was giving me trouble I brought it in for a diagnostic. They found that the problem was a tire sensor that needed to be replaced and they were able to diagnose and repair all within 48 hours. They even had someone give me a ride home so I wouldnt have to be there all day. Now my car is back to normal and doesnt seem to have any issues.

We just moved to Mandeville and Im very particular about who touches my cars. I expected a superior experience here based on reviews but came away a bit underwhelmed. Firstly, I asked to have an O2 sensor replaced that had been driving a check engine light to illuminate. Despite bringing an exact replacement part, the shop told me that they couldnt extract the sensor and that the Denso replacement wasnt correct on my Japanese sports car which is in exemplary condition. So they ordered a more expensive Bosch. Afterwards, I re-verified with OReillys that the sensor I had originally bought was indeed correct. So I ended up paying extra for a sensor along with additional labor for a stuck sensor on a pristine car. Doesnt add up. Furthermore, the business is tricky to get in an out of because of the extremely narrow driveway. The building exterior is marred badly from past collisions at narrow points. Now on a positive note the owner was willing to offer a shuttle service which I definitely did appreciate but I am just left feeling uneasy about the sensor job wondering if Ive been taken for a ride.

Just very impressed with the service here. They tell you honestly what everything will cost in detail and brake down labor vs part cost. Brett, the mechanic, was even honest with me on what stuff could wait to be fixed. All the services were done in a quick timely manner. Very impressed and will be back again.

I took my car to the dealership to fix my air conditioner which was making noise and was acting inconsistently. They couldn’t diagnose the A/C problem. Later I took my car to another mechanic shop in Mandeville. They didn’t appear interested in helping me. This was over 10 month period as I found time to bring the car in. Recently, I found myself at Zoom Tech Auto Repair. Brett was patient and thorough and got my AC fixed with no problems, no hassle. It was a great experience – professional and reliable car mechanics!

My first experience with Zoom Tech ensured that I would be a return visitor. The check engine light came on in my truck and I took it in for them to look at. They called me and informed me it was a faulty catalytic converter (which would cost over $1,000 to replace), but also told me they went ahead and called the Toyota dealership for me to see if my truck was still under warranty. It was, and Zoom Tech told me to take it into the dealership and theyd replace it at no cost. Things like this speak volumes about a business, and I am very grateful for their honesty and customer service.

Mr. Brett and his team do fantastic work. Not only that but they are accommodating and willing to work with you on what you need to ensure your car is in peak condition. I have an old and very abused car and he was still able to make it run like almost new after the flywheel went out. Will definitely be bringing my service to him again when the need arises.

Mind you i called and i did not make a visit to the place itself. I called about a possible timeing issue with my ford f150 and all i could get was ya wanna tow it in? Not very helpful. I basically wanted a qoute for a predetermined diagnosis. Surely a professional could have provided more insight.

I was referred to Brett around 4 years ago - He has taken care of me and my girls in our cars impeccably. I so appreciate his honesty in letting us know what is needed - i.e. brakes squeaking - thought they needed replacement - but he said no and that was a year ago - still working well and getting close to needing replacement but I trust him to let me know. His staff is polite kind and respectful - doing their best to accommodate your schedule and time constraints - His service manager Austin is the best - patient and accommodating. There are not a lot of mechanic shops left that you can really rely on to actually fix something. Most technicians today have a plug and play mentality, as opposed to actual diagnostics. Absolutely all of the comments below me must be either written by employees or people who got paid to LIE about Zoom techs services. If I could have given no starts, I would have. Yes the workers seemed pleasant, but they are both careless and inconsiderate. I had a car inspected prior to purchasing it and not even one month later all of the symptoms started to show. Zoom tech claimed that the car passed inspection and that everything was fine. I later found out that was not the case at all. The regular services/upkeep of the car needed to be done (which was understandable), but that should have been brought to both my and the sellers attention. I was unaware and untold that I needed new brakes ($150 a piece, you do the math). I was left in the blind to the whole situation. In the so called notes of the inspection, which I had to call myself to ask for after I had started experiencing problems, it was noted that my battery needed to be cleaned, due to corrosion.. I later found out that I needed to replace my whole battery! When bringing this to Mr Austins attention, he did not care and did not seek a way to help me.. other than offering me to do a test on the battery (which of course he would charge me for, after screwing up in the first place) and then charge again to install the battery. I brought my vehicle to a different, and better automotive place and they tested my battery FOR FREE and I later purchased the battery and paid to have it installed. Point of the story, Zoom tech SUCKS and they are horrible at customer service. They wont let you know whats wrong with your car, straight up, theyll play games with you until you start to run into problems as I have.

I have used Zoom Tech for several years and have yet to be disappointed in their service. The service is great and the employee customer service is great also. Brett & company always check your car and tell you what is needed. There is no pressure to have repairs done that they may recommend when checking your vehicle. The first time I went for an oil change, they recommended front brakes, but Brett took me in & showed me the brakes. They do not tell you you need something when you dont need it. They reason they saw I needed brakes was they top up all fluids AND rotate your tires at every oil change, if needed. So make Zoom Tech your mechanic shop!

Brett Gioe, owner and mechanic, is absolutely awesome and honest. By far, this is the best mechanic I ever had work on my vehicle. The first time I brought my Suburban to Brett due to my A/C not working,I figured I had a $2,500 job. Brett changed a fuse out and did not even charge me. He just asked me to remember him for future work. He now has all my work.

Based on multiple repairs, zoom-tech has earned my business. They are honest and will always let you make the final decision along with offering potential other options. My 2008 Ford Explorer developed a problem with the EGR valve. Zoom-tech went above and beyond to ensure the problem was solved and fixed at the root of the problem. As a guy who works on his own vehicles a lot, I will only trust Zoom-tech with repairs I am not comfortable with.

I arranged for a mechanic to come see about my RV(about a mile and a half from the shop) which would not start. It ended up costing a lot more than Id budgeted--$540--to simply hot wire the vehicle. I was quoted $440 the day before completion, and then it jumped $100 by the next day. That left a bad taste in my checking account.

I found Zoom Tech on googles website and decided to bring my car there for brake issues. They were all so very nice, honest because they checked out my car and found it low on oil which i thought was impossible because I just had my oil change 1 month ago form Take 5. I needed front brake rotors and brake pads. While I waited for repairs, I got a chance to meet the other customers and also see how they intereact with them as well. I was so pleased to meet a customer that has been going to them for years. I shall become a loyal customer too!

Did some research about this shop and was impressed with the reviews. I also had a few phone conversations with Austin at the shop and he was very courteous, professional and helpful. I dropped my volvo suv off for a brake job and the customer service was outstanding. I have nothing but positive things to say about my interactions with Brett (owner), Austin and everyone I had contact with. The services performed appear to be very high quality. Ill keep an eye and ear out for the brakes but I feel confident in the work. As an aside they work lightening fast and have great communication. I found them cheaper than chain shops and they really go out of their way to accommodate you. I used do go to tireworld but if you arent dropping your car off right at opening of the store you wait very long or just get turned away. Will definitely go back and will sing their praises.

My sister in law referred us to ZoomTech when we were new to the area over 14years ago. We have been with Brett ever since! He has always taken great care of us, is honest & dependable. Now that he is selling used cars, it is even better, if that were possible! I have bought 2 vehicles from him and am in the process of buying the third. If a vehicle has needed it - I am sure we have had him fix it over the last 14yrs - from oil changes to replacing a transmission & even replacing the vehicle! Brett helped us keep our almost dying vehicles on the road well past when we thought they would need to be replaced. We wont go any where else!

Fair pricing, doesnt skip steps to do job faster gets job done in good timing. but what really sets them apart from others is they spot things about to go bad before the computer gadget picks them up later, and that alone saves me about 300 every 2,months in preventative maintenance. my car drives a lot so its kind of important i find out about things before they go wrong. if they say they need to do this or that, theres a reason for,it so i wouldnt,fight it. i tried ignoring the extra cost and ended up paying double to replace parts at a different shop which this shop warned me would go wrong if i didnt follow instructions. pay a little, say more. the guys here are hard working and thats hard to come by these days.additional note: i drive for a living between cities. i see a lot,of mechanic shops, more than i,like to. some play head games, and tweak prices. i watch for that and do my research.i go here bc they spot things and not have that narrow vision, computer says this do that,, has cost me too much money with firestone, and 2 other local covington shops. i want to be respectful so wont say names.

Everyone Ive dealt with here has been friendly and helpful. Just loses a star for the bad parking lot situation, but I hear their expanding that so then it will be a full five star experience
