I love this store. I most recently went in to get a new San Juan River map after discovering that mine was published in 1991 and sure enough, they had the new one in stock. The shelves are stocked with all kinds of fascinating things to make your river trip even more delightful. I love being able to look at things in person instead of trying to guess what they are like from vague online descriptions. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. Its absolutely great to have a store like this nearby.

These guys are the best at getting you set up and outfitted for rafting, even to a newbie (years ago now.) They have helped me as I’ve become more experienced too.Selection is great and they won’t talk you into something that doesn’t work good as they are constantly out trying all the gear. So glad we have such a good white water shop in Salt Lake. It’s much better than many I’ve seen in so called white water towns.

I just had the BEST experience with this company. I had a SUP that needed a repair. They quoted me a 3 week lead time and then finished much sooner. They sent me a text to say it was ready and the guy offered to carry it out to my car for me. Staff were all very kind and friendly! Definitely has a family owned feel.

The store looks small, but they pack just about everything you could possibly need in there. I was looking for something specific, was nowhere on the shelves, but when I asked about it the owner went out back for about 2 minutes and came back with exactly what I needed. I drove an hour to pick up a few items there rather than order it online, super helpful, Nice to support local shops. Well done Utah Whitewater...

Sounds like a great shop, but i called the store to ask some questions and the employee wasn’t helpful at all. i had to ask him lots of open ended questions in order for him to respond. i would like to see better customer services over the phone.

First time visiting the store today. Looked like everything I needed in stock- great inventory. I was planning to spend $1000 to $2000 to completely outfit a used 16’ raft. I made a few laps around the store, checking things out. Unfortunately, while there appeared to be three employees and no other customers in the store, I received no greeting, no help, and not even a reply when I greeted a staff member with a “good morning”. At least I’m guessing it was a staff member as he appeared to be stocking the shelves. I lingered and loitered hoping for some help, but none was ever offered. So guess what? I put all that money back in my pocket and left. Wish I could of supported a local shop and gotten the help that other reviewers claim to have received.Disappointed.

Absolutely love this place. Very new to getting out on the river, and these guys made renting extremely comfortable and easy. They helped with any questions I asked. Excellent selection of water gear, and now definitely my go-to place to buy any water gear. Beats buying online any day.

Dudes at Utah Whitewater gear hooked me up. I’m new to the sport and they got me dialed in with gear for my raft, leave-no-trace camping, and repair stuff for a couple over-nighter trips this summer before doing a 9-day Deso Canyon trip in cold, late November weather. Also got some really nice PFD’s for me and my kids.

The best and only whitewater store in the Wasatch front. Anthony helped me measure my new AIRE and order a custom DRE frame. Store is stocked with all the essentials youll need for your next trip and staff is super knowledgeable. They also did an awesome job repairing my NRS e-130, patch looks very clean!

Never knew this place existed. Its not noticeable from the street and theres practically no visible signage unless youre looking for it. The service was good tho and they have good products. Good selection of gear. I rented a tandem ducky and had a fun weekend on the Weber with my partner.

I have been trying for a few months to find somewhere to repair my paddleboard. I was recommended to these guys and so happy i was! I had four holes in my paddleboard and they let me know that might take some time to repair (Which would cost more). When i picked it up they only charged me for the minimum time of work when they could have charged me for much more. I appreciate honesty and not taking advantage of a customer! It has worked great so far. Awesome company and cool guys.

I do whitewater and was looking for inflatable kayaks to take friends and family members with me, bought two kayak there today Jun/22/2020. They have great stuff, good prices and Dagger kayaks for sale and rentals.

This place is awesome. Anthony and Clint are very helpful and have made my first raft purchase pleasant and fun. There is no drama that has made my raft buying experience less than it should be. I appreciate their expertise, candor and love for rafting. Im glad they decided to open UWG so I have a great place to go to buy my gear.

Ive got to give these guys 5 stars. A year ago I purchased an Aire Outfitter ii from them and yesterday purchased a Lynx ii. I get that I can make these purchases at the big online warehouse stores but you dont get the vast knowledge of products and experience from Anthony and Clint. Plus the added fact of having somewhere to go to help with warranty and repairs if needed. Customer service, knowledge, and experience is where its at.... I cant recommend these guys enough for all your white water needs!

I visited the store today, the lady who take care of me, she was very good, she know a lot about Whitewater. They have a lot Whitewater gear available there. For sure I will back there and next time will be buying from they instead of online.
