Returned something that tested out of bounds for correct value, literally told the guy not his fault that it prob came from factory that way. Shook his head at me the whole time mouthing off like I ruined his day. Tell the old guy with the ponytail to retire and get out of customer service.

This hardware store has alot of items that have been discontinued. Hard to find items for my aging house and appliances. Expert small engine department with well stocked parts for most engines on weedeaters, chainsaws, mowers and other lawn and tree equipment.

Its nice to get knowledgeable help and information when you need it. Go to Evans when you need to fix something but have no idea how.

They have my air filter size. They got lawnmower parts. Nice place

20 years ago when the big box stores moved in we where scared we would loose this place. Blessed on a weekly to to say still going strong. You name it they got it, always helpful.

I think thier the greatest the people know were everything is at they no thier parts and no how to instruct you how to replace and what will get you going again

Better then the big box stores . Everyone that works there is nice and helpful 👍 . And I dont work there or know nobody that does . Best place to get what you need in mwc .

For a ma and pa hardware store this is my favorite. ESPECIALLY for screws, nails ect. They sell them by the pound instead of forcing you to buy a $40+ bucket.. (LOWES).Definitely worth checking out and supporting local families.

Very disappointed as I looked online for a vacuum belt for my Bissell. I looked on Ace Hardware website first and they do carry this belt. Long story short I get to Ace and they are out at the moment so the older gentleman suggest Evans Hardware. I decided to call before driving all the way to Douglas and spoke with an older man at Evans. I ask the man if he carried belts for Bissell and he says we do have some vacuum belts I ask the man can you check so I dont waste another trip, I have the belt in my hand and have all the numbers if you could check before I come.....the man gives this long sigh and says No maam I can not. You have to bring the belt in to compare WTH! No thanks lol I drove right over to Walmart and bought my belt. Thank you Walmart, I now have clean carpet!!!

When I got into the store, the head lady was on top of things. I had 2 things to get. #1 I needed a screw and a nut for my dollie. #2 I have a walker that needed just a hand turning head for a support screw, and their service was above excellent.

Evans hardware is the coolest place! Its like a hardware store in a small town. Theyve got it all and I bet if they dont they could. The people are friendly, helpful, and just great. If youre looking for that missing doo-dad or spring or whatever, treat yourself and go there. It is so much more relaxing than the big box stores.

None of the employees wear masks at this establishment. If you need a key cut and have a blank key they will cut it for $1 though, way better than ace hardware. Be aware if you need a transponder for the key the young man working the register wont inform you.

First hardware, home store that doesnt do paint. Do it BEST, when you dont even have paint other than spray paint or kilz primer? What good is primer when you dont sell anything to go over it?

This is an old fashioned hardware real deal store. The employees are friendly and help you find your part or solve your problem.

This place is amazing if you need parts this is the place to go my son searched all over to get our generator back working and he found everything that he needed right here so five start of these guys he said they worked diligently and they had what he needed and these are the guys Im telling you right now these are the guys

We were looking for a kit that had the drill bit and anchors for concrete. The guy at the register (red head w/beard) knew nothing that was helpful. We had to go to Home Depo :(. Not sure if he just didnt understand but no customer service skills. Usually a good experience and everyone else could help us.

Need an adapter to hook up my propane grill to the main line. Lowes had nothing. Ace had lots of adapters, but not one i needed. Gentleman at Ace said to go to Evans. I looked around but not sure where to find it (they have hundreds of adapters for everything). I asked the lady at the counter and she told me the isle and section to find it. She knew exactly where it was just by my description among everything there!! Great service and helpful staff.

Bought some spark plugs and they were not the right ones (I went home and tried to install them and did not fit) so I go back trying to find the correct one and turns out they dont have them (no problem ) so I ask for my money back and the older guy says those are the right ones I proceed to tell him no they did not fit and he immediately has an attitude and says well Im not gonna argue with you! I was not arguing just stating the fact that it didnt fit. Moral of this story horrible customer service for a fist time customer I will definitely not be back

Amazing place, had all of the old rare mower parts I needed all in stock, spindle, shaft, nut, air cleaner and foam insert, oil filter and spark plug. Chris knew everything, for all the parts I needed and have me tips about them, super fast service. Im a customer for life! Ill check here before the internet every time!

Service is exceptional, place is clean and well stocked with many useful items, prices are good. Only downside I found was the phone being busy when trying to call in.

If you can fix it they mostlikely have the part small engines

Took my Husqvarna chainsaw in on November 9th. Picked it up today, Jan 7th!!! Needed a new clutch and oil gear. Kept checking with them as they never contacted me. Each time I was told clutch was installed but waiting on plastic oil gear. After 2 months of being told this, I got the part number from them and made one phone call!! Went today and picked up part and took it to them. Guy plays around with installing oil gear and after about 10 minutes tells me it’s the wrong part! “Well that’s the number you gave me.” Plays around for another 20 minutes and FINALLY gets everything back together! No apologize, thank you, or asked where I was able to get part. They just didn’t care and their customer service is reflective of that. I wouldn’t let them work on anything, ever!!

Best place i know of that can help you with everything you need to know. If they sell it, they know what and how it is supposed to be used. A real retail store.

Very friendly store! Always willing to help and answer questions. Brought in my valve stem to buy a replacement washer for it. They replaced the washer for me right then and there and only charged for the part. Yes it was a simple fix, but its something I wasnt expecting. Doing the little things make a big impression.

I went to get a key copied, the gentleman working said no problem and started working on it. About 15 minutes later he brought my key back and said he couldnt copy it because it was too fragile. It was an almost brand new key. When he gave it back he showed me where it had broken in his machine and said he couldnt copy it. It was my only key. It doesnt work now. He ruined the key. Now I have to replace locks. Just dont go there, they dont know what theyre doing.
