Very impressed with this place. Not only are there literally just aisles and aisles of used books to browse, but they also carry a wide variety of used board games, and even CDs and video games. The store is neat, clean and organized, and the staff is attentive and friendly. They also offer complimentary coffee in the entryway! This is a hidden gem just off of Grape Road and well worth a stop for anyone who loves books and more.

Very pleasantly surprised. Exceptionally well organized, helpful staff, and decent prices!Found an excellent landscape pruning book from England, not one sold in the US, for a steal! The wall of antique/ vintage books is of course beautiful, an excellent place for collectors and decorators to look. They have a great selection of various art books, gardening, home decor, architecture, home improvement, antiques, DIY and the like. Most things are priced below what online used book stores are, some possibly a bit more. Magazines are only $1!

Half Price Books is one of my favorite retail chains and this one does not disappoint. Selection is good and employees are always friendly. Steven is always a superstar and stands out among the team. Such a great place I visit sometimes twice weekly.

Half Price books has a nice variety of stuff besides just books (music, games, puzzles, movies, etc), and I love browsing it all and buying more than I probably should. Employees are always nice and helpful.

Really enjoyed this store! So many books to browse, it was fantastic. The staff was fabulous about helping find specific books too. They happily helped my daughter to find just what she was looking for. The prices are perfect too. We will be back very soon!

Excellent service and always fun to look around and find random and interesting oddities. The one short redhead gal - dont remember her name I apologize- she was incredibly helpful, kind, and knowledgeable.

Theyve got a decent selection of material to choose, only a small section of Catholic books unfortunately but still youll find decent selections of major western philosophers and some good books of fiction as well, some Dostoevsky is even available!

Really like that I can take books here and get paid. However, I think they could pay more. I took 20 or 30 books. Got paid just over $7.00. One was brand new! They must make a killing on sales.

Great service and selection, a little cheap on reselling items

After several recent trips they have lost my business. I’ve taken in a couple different things what’s in the last several months normally I just buy stuff there but I had some stuff I was looking to get rid of. For one I took in boardgames not traditional stuff like monopoly but expensive games that somebody in the board game hobby would play. Every time I come in the store the first place that I go was the board game section so I know what their prices look like and they’re all over priced for what they’re actually offering which is just traditional type of games for the most part so when I brought in my board games expected a decent offer. Now I Know that I will get nowhere near what I paid but the offers that I got were ridiculous I brought in probably close to $300 worth of games And they offered me like 30 bucks that’s 10% and insulting. Couple weeks later I brought in textbooks all good condition no missing pages no highlighter, all from within the last year, there was four of them they offered me $12 Total that is equivalent to three dollars a textbook when you know they’re going to turn around and sell them for 40-50 bucks apiece if not more. For selling used items 20 to 30% is usually the standard and with half-price books you’re getting 10% or less it’s insulting at least most other places offer you just enough to not be insulting I’m sure that they are use to getting a dumbfounded response from people because they didn’t seem surprised and on top of that I’ve heard from multiple patrons of the business that this is how it is that you don’t actually go there to sell stuff if you wanna get any reasonable Offer. Additionally the textbooks that they offered me $12 for total I took to another company and received $30 for, so their offer was quite off. The one positive thing that I will say is that the employees for the most part are very nice and have good customer service skills, aside from that their selection of board games is embarrassing and there non-fiction/self help sections like psychology or sociology are cluttered with old books that aren’t really actually even relevant.

I can never just go into this store- so much to check out. Usually looking through the clearance CDs under the country music section ;)

This is a great location :-) it’s spacious and they have tons of room. I was a little disappointed that I couldn’t find the clearance audio books… but more I’m over it

I went to sell my books there. Some were in really good condition while others were not but they didn’t take all. We had over 40 books that they took and was offered only $15. I was too shocked to decline and just took the money and my declined books and left. Crazy considering most of the books are sold at $9 or around that price. Will not be returning.

Small, quaint, & well organized.

This place is a treasure. Not only is there an enormous collection of used books (some new titles too), music, and movies, they have the most beautiful, unique journals and sketch books, fun items like mini video games, Harry Potter socks, whimsical coffee mugs, adorable pins and book bags...many things Id love to buy all for myself. They have a childrens section that my kids and I love to visit. The staff is helpful if you need help finding a book. Truly, this place is a treasure. You wont be disappointed if you love books.

Massive selection of books, movies and music. The prices unfortunately are not even close to half price. In many instances I found games and books I wanted but there were nicer copies on Amazon or eBay for less.

Pretty cool place. I thought it was only books but there is so much more! Dvds, games, comics, tv series, audio books! Mostly organized well, a little confusing on the DVD and audio section. Friendly and helpful staff.

They helped me find rare booms, only negative is that I spend a lot of money there.

I love, love, love this store. They have way more than just books! Not only does this store boast an impressive selection of books in different genres, but they also have a nice collection of new and used CDs and vinyl, comic books, collectible toys and other items like coffee mugs and video games. Honestly, I thought this place was probably just another discount bookstore but I was surprised when I visited for the first time. This has quickly become one of my favorite stops on Grape Road. You should check it out! Oh, and by the way, as their name suggests, they have really good prices.

Pleasantly surprised by the variety of topics offered. Most books truly were half price......no fake news here. Im looking to replace my field guides for birds, butterflies, trees, etc in North America. My current books are circa 1960s through the 90s. Heres just one reason current books are important; bald eagles are no longer endangered, now theyre everywhere! Its time for an updated book, but sadly I struck out. Theres always next year!

You have to understand: THIS IS NOT JUST A USUAL BARGAIN BOOKSTORE. I went just expecting a bunch of low-priced, aftermarket books, calendars stuff like that... NO! This is top-tier new and used book, DVDs, video games, board games, ALL KINDS OF AWESOME STUFF. The coolest thing is they have a collection of 1st edition and collector editions of books that are hard to find anywhere else. They need a different name because I dont feel Half Price Books really exemplifies what they are. I mean... They DO have half-priced books... But you know what I mean. Please go here, if you like stuff and things you will not be disappointed.

I walked in and the very first thing that happened was one of the workers tried practicing medicine without a license. I asked three times if they were I doctor or other medical professional and they said no but continued ti give me medical advice that runs against what my doctor told me about my medical conditions. They finally stopped and I shopped buying a few records but knowing someone is giving bad medical advice to everyone who walks in is both incredibly unprofessional and illegal.

I didnt buy anything, there were some good prices, but a lot seemed a little high too. They buy books and have toys, comics, and all kinds of media, games and collectibles and chairs to sit down on. The bathroom was pristine. Id go back here before going to Barnes and noble. Worth checking out.

Great place for - surprisingly - video games. Can be pricey but hey, if youre looking for another avenue for your game collecting pick ups, this can be it.Also, they have a ton of old, rare books, which my wife loves. Overall a great place.

Love this place! Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Their clearance items change several times a week, and they have great new gift ideas from bookmarks to mugs, calendars to puzzles to socks! They buy the books you cant fit on your shelves so you have room for more!

Its exactly what it sounds like. Its a resale store that specializes in books, however unlike many other resale shops its quite pristine and most of the products they allow to get to the shelves are as well. They dont only sell books, they have puzzles, video games, board games, movies, a small amount of comics and anime, and even some table top role playing game resources. Dont expect to get too much money for trading in books, as with most any resale shop, but if youve got to get rid of some of these things and want some amount of money over none, not a bad place to sell.

They have wide variety of books for a fraction of what you will find anywhere else. If they dont have what you want they will order it and ship to you, as long as its in their company system. I go to the location in Mishawaka Indiana and they are super friendly and helpful!

We love this place. Its not as big as the Fort Wayne or Indianapolis stores but it does have a good selection of all kinds of books. It has CDs and records, calendars, jigsaw puzzles, and other knick-knack type things. Everything is priced reasonably, with most of the books about a quarter of what they would be in other stores. A lot of books are used, but in good shape, and they have some new ones too. Theres plenty of parking nearby, and the store is visible from the road.

Great addition choice for those who love to hold a book in hand at a more affordable price. Plus allows you to recycle books that you have previously read. Will be back!

I looooooooooove this addition to the stores around here. The first time I went in and got twelve books for fifty books. Not a single one had tips and tears in the jacket and some of them were released within the last year or two. They have an excellent selection of DVDs and some solid records in there too if youre into vinyl. They are pretty well organized and I have found and bought multiple signed first editions here for twenty dollars or less. They also have a pretty decent selection of board games. the only problem I have with HPB is that we desperately need to buy more book shelves after visiting three times.

This place has a lot of cool inventory. And the staff are super helpful. Clean and well-lit. I didnt ask for a specific book but that might he easier than combing every shelf if you are looking for something specific. One thing though. I took 4 board games to trade in. New value? Well over $100. I figured it might be worth about 20 bucks to get something or if I had to add a little to it I would. Even if they offered half of resale used value that should sti me 15.00 or so. They only offer cash, and no benefit for in store credit. So when they offered me 7.50 for the 4 games i was a little shocked but figured why not. Then i started thinking about it. One if the games I took has a resale value in average condition of 15.00. When I questioned the value the smoke screens came out. Oh I dont really know the values of each. So I asked if I could change my mind and oh, yeah since we already gave you money you have to buy them back. I still had the ticket in my hand. No money yet. So then I offered to buy it back from them and asked how.much it would cost. Ok so this time only I will void your ticket but in the future we cant do this. Why play games? I know they are a business but I guess I thought they might be different than everyone else. Steal merchandise and then mark it up 1000% Why not make a little money a bunch of times and then turn games over faster? Go to shop. But dont sell them stuff unless you really dont want it.

This place is gorgeous and I could spend hours here. They have amazing selections, and pretty good prices on the older books, the newer ones are barely cheaper than buying a new one, and so far most of their tv shows are, if not the same more than what youd find online, so not always great pricing if youre looking for a deal.

Way more than just books there. I will say all the books are for a better price than most retail stores though. But they have board game stuff, video game stuff, DVDs, Blu-rays CDs, Vinyls, all sorts of things. Still primarily a book store though. Also, something that i think is obvious but Ill point out just in case: The books are older. You wont really find a lot of new releases here, especially in the learning sections.

I can say now that theyve been open for a while, the album selection isnt as good as when they first opened and the actual quality of the record has deminished as it appears people are now selling the junk they themselves dont want.But the selection of books remains very good.
