This was a very pleasant experience.I went online and gave the details about my care.Got a quote that was very good. Choose to save a few $s buy going to the shop.They texted me all through the process so I wouldnt miss my appointment.When I arrived I came in the back.A mechanic saw I was in the wrong place an directed me the the office.I asked some questions and got thorough and patient answers.Went to have lunch, got the message the job was done.Was given the final paperwork and explanations, then I was on my way.

The repair went smoothly though there still was a crack mark. He said it wouldnt get worse. Well it started getting g bigger so I called them. No one came to phone, even their customer service picked up. I had to email them. When they got back to me the only thing they would offer is the cost of the repair towards a new windshield. So be warned if they dont fix it say something immediately. I should have.

Do not use Safelite Mundeline 8/28. They replaced my Porsche windshield with a 6in crack. The tech had significant issues removing the windshield from what started as a 6in crack to an entire shatter windshield. At the end he had to cut the windshield out leaving chards everywhere and the job took 2.5hr to replace vs 60-90mins told. Tech left glass chards everywhere and told me the car would recalibrate sensors. Unfortunately the car was left with glass chards all over the dash and seats and the sensors didn’t recalibrate. Called Glenn the mgr to resolve the sensors and clean up the car. Very disrespectful and told me I was on the hook for the sensors and clean up of the vehicle regardless. He was rude and very defensive and did not want to provide any customer service.

Today I had to get my windshield replaced at Safelite, granted I didn’t have to pay nothing but a deductible, the people at Safelite were very professional and welcomed every single of of their customers! They also have an amazing coffee/ hot chocolate island! Thank you Safelite!

From the customer service rep on the phone to the installer that did the repair itself the Safelite Auto glass team did a superb job.

Very impressed that not only the windshield was replaced in less than an hour, but they vacuumed my vehicle and put everything back on the inside of the windshield, such as oil change reminders, iPass Velcro, company sticker, etc... Excellent service.

My Rav4 2020 winshield was damaged and needed to replaced. I arrived on schedule time and they had everything ready and completed work on time. Job well-done.

Terrible experience - incompetent and unprofessional staff who not only failed at their one job, but also denied all responsibility. We had to take 3 trips to get our windshield replaced and they still could not get it calibrated. We had to eventually take the car to the manufacturers dealership to get it fixed and where we found out Safelite had messed up the wipers in their failed attempt of fixing our wind shield. We had to pay extra to our dealership not only to undo the botched installation of the windsheild but also to fix our wipers that Safelite messed up. Upon following up with Glenn, the manager, he said he would absolutely not reimburse us for the damage and blamed us for not bringing it to his attention even though we had told the technician working there. Never mind the money we wasted cause of them, Glens sense of customer service left much to be desired.

The tech was great. Came out to the house and called when he was on his way. So far so good with the installation of the windshield.

Not sure about the marksmanship quality 🤔, but last week I scheduled windshield replacement for Saturday. Saturday comes Ive got phone call from Safelite stating that there is issue with windshield. OK. Rescheduled for Monday morning. Monday comes, guess what?, phone call from Safelite saying the windshield theyve got is wrong. So I just canceled the appointment and I will go somewhere else.

In November of 2020 I had Safelite come out to repair my windshield that was damaged by a rock. In over 40 years of driving, never had a rock hit the windshield.Prior to the repair, I was told they only use OEM Parts. They came out and did the repair and I never thought another thing about it. Then along comes April 2021 (less than 5 months after the repair) and I discover a crack that goes from the review mirror through the drivers field of vision. Upon discovery, I try to call the office to no avail. Finally I make contact via the internet. That is when I found out they DO NOT use OEM Parts after all. I explain the current situation on the website, make an appointment, and they send a technician out for the repair. When the technician arrives he tells me there was impact to the windshield and is not covered by the warranty. (I know things happen, but youre telling me after 40 years of driving and absolutely no windshield issues, I get 2 rocks to the windshield in less than 6 months?) He also confirms the fact that they DO NOT use OEM Parts, they would have to order the replacement (even though they were supposed to repair it) and make another appointment.I then call Glen at the Mundelein facility (secret local phone number not listed on the web) to voice my displeasure, and he says that he just spoke to the technician. Then he interrupts me mid-sentence to say hes hanging up. Glens condescending attitude and lack of customer service and honesty forced me to take my business elsewhere! I would suggest to anyone I know to take their business elsewhere too.P.S. In reviewing other glass repair companies, Safelite is the most expensive I found, and often up to almost TWICE the cost of others as well as the lowest scoring reviews (I wish I had done my homework back on November). If they’re not using OEM Parts anyway, what’s the difference?

Avoid at all cost!! Not only will they completely botch your repair, but they will then never respond or try and fix their mistakes. I wish I could give negative stars.

Was easily able to schedule an appointment at a time that worked for me. Work began on time, was explained thoroughly before starting, and was performed professionally, quickly, and with a high degree of quality. Staff were friendly and professional throughout.

They were very friendly and professional and repaired the chip in my windshield in 30 minutes.

The man at the front was extremely friendly and helpful. The job was done in a timely manner, much faster than I thought. He was also pretty knowledgeable and the price wasn’t terrible. I didn’t get gouged to say the least. Insurance paid for most of it.

Stay away!!! Worst place to do business with. I have been waiting on a glass for three weeks. Came to the location and they still didnt have. No one ever bothered to call to tell me that the glass has not arrived yet. In addition that I was told I would get a discount on the glass. Due to all the trouble I had to go through. This is the worst experience I have ever had!! Will never return for business here again!!

I had great service here. Had a really bad day, which included my windshield getting chipped by something (most likely a rock) on the highway. I went the next morning, with the chip turning into a small crack. I didn’t know you needed an appointment, but instead of making me leave, the guy at the counter went to see if they had time to squeeze me in. They could so I got it fixed right then and there. It wasn’t a terribly long wait or anything and actually felt better leaving than when I came.

In store staff was 5 stars. Unfortunately they couldn’t help me because of my non-traditional vehicle (a roll in a school bus). Their phone service definitely needs improvement. But the location staff was more than accommodating after telling they actually couldn’t help. They did everything they could to make my next trip back more productive. Went to get a dime sized chip repaired a month ago... and had to go back now because the chip came back along with a 13 crack along the glass. Sucks when you go in for an initial repair and have to go back again and pay more money for a replaced windshield. Safelite repaired, then Safelite replaced...

I had scheduled a repair for a crack on my windshield. Before I could take my vehicle in, the crack got larger, too large for a repair according to the website. I called to change the repair appointment to a replacement. Instead of changing the type of appointment, the lady scheduled a new appointment at a location a hour and a half away. This was after confirming that I would come in to the Mundelein shop for repairs.

Had my windshield replaced at Safelite in Mundelein a couple years ago and did not have a very good experience at all. Offered to replace my wiper blades and ended up taking my nice wiper arms and replaced them with some bottom-line wiper arms. The new blades they replaced my old ones with were horrible. I had to replace those shortly after I received my car back from them. My car even drove differently when I initially received it back from them. To be fair that may or may not have been Safelite but it went away on its own after a few weeks and I did not have the issue before I dropped off the car. I was not even going to say anything but now my windshield started to crack so I called to have them come out and replace it under their lifetime warranty Safelite offers for all of their windshields. They stated on the phone they would be looking for chips in the glass to make sure a rock did not hit it. There are no chips and the crack is so low on the windshield; nothing could have hit it. The crack is below the hood of the car. Safelite came out to look at the car and said they cannot replace it. Offered me a discount though... I said I would go somewhere else to get a new windshield. Do not want to have to replace this one again in a year or two. I would not use Safelite, especially not this location.

I used them a week ago to fix a 1/2 inch crack on my windshield and it came out great. They even placed the rubber parts loose on my passenger door back in place while working on the fix.

Where to begin. At this point i believe Safelite (and Progressive) are the most useless company that has ever existed. I have had a broken windshield for 3 weeks - and every time i talk to safelite we start over with the issue. Still not resolved - at this point ill go to the dealership and let my insurance company eat the increased cost. I wish safelite got their stuff together - even a return call can make a difference.

Had a tech come out to fix a windshield crack about the size of a quarter. You could see where after the repair was done it has spread do to pressure and improper repair.You can also see what part of the crack was sealed with the glue and what wasnt.I was very concerned and of course, both unsealed cracks spidered out the next morning, less than 12 hours later. Windshield is ruined due to improper repairs.Safelite should be ashamed of themselves and their tech. Manipulation of a crack and in properly injection of the resin.What a joke.

So disappointing! I booked an appointment online around 10am for a 4:30pm appointment. I got confirmation and waited at home for them. At 4:30 I get a call saying they can’t come- even though they confirmed! The guy who called refused to refund my money, after a long talk with the manager (about 30 minutes) he finally agreeed to refund my money. Such an awful experience.

Terrible service, and had to schedule 3 separate times. The initial appointment I made online was lost and I had to call them because I never recieved a confirmation even though my bank account already had a pending transaction. Scheduled it with the lady on the phone for the next day. That morning I received a call from the tech saying that he couldnt do it today because he wouldnt be in my area, which makes no sense. So finally I brought it into the shop who took more than 30 mins to call me saying that they couldnt fix it because it had already been repaired with resin, which is absolute bull!*Update* Had another company come out and the fixed it within 30 minutes. Turns out they were just inexperienced and confused the residue from the interlayer of the windshield with a resin patch.

You dont get glass replaced in a car very often. So, word of mouth is hard to come by. Our window was broken on Saturday, on Sunday we went online to schedule a time. Monday, by 12:30, it was done.Safelite did a great job communicating with us, letting us know who to expect (Chris) and a time window. Chris gave us a call to confirm that hed be coming out, and narrowed down the time further. Then called again to confirm he was on they way. The service included vacuuming the car, checking for glass fragments (it was a shattered side window) and cleaning all the windows.He was very nice, professional and fast.Highly recommend Safelite if you need glass replacement.

I had my back window replaced and they snuck in $60 over my quote from the phone then supposedly gave me. $50 dollar discount. Safelite is a horrible company and I wish i would have gone with a local company. I filed a complaint with them regarding the discrepancy with my bill and they still have not gotten back to me. Do NOT use them!

I had Safelite come to repair a small crack that was the size of a quarter. An hour after the repair, the crack looked worse and started to spider out. The next day the crack spread through the whole windshield! Horrible experience and now I may be left buying a whole new windshield for a small repairable crack that was not repaired properly!

I went in today to get my windshield replaced and walked out with a windshield that was not installed correctly, a cracked dash, a broken trim panel, and a mess all over. Then the guy that did the work denied any of it. This is bottom of the barrel service and work. No manager on site. I cannot get a hold of anyone and keep getting brushed off. The week before I went to a different location and I had made my appointment a week ahead so that they would have enough time to get my windshield. Apparently the glass that was delivered was damaged and I was not notified until I arrived at a store that was over an hour away. The guy there told me he had called me earlier that morning which was a lie!!!
