Ive never been there . Was internet searching for a place to repair an old guitar in Naples. Read the reviews for Gator Music. Saw the crude and rude response from Dave to a complaint. That eliminated Gator music for me. And Dave, I suggest that you not send a rude reply. to this review.

I went in to buy guitar picks and ask some questions about my trumpet that needed repair. After waiting patiently wellDave helped the other couple he approach me with a very rushed attitude saying we dont work on those. I told him I was here for more than the trumpet and I would still like to ask my question. He started speaking very fast of where I could go to ask my question about the trumpet I didnt even have time to write down the information because he was speaking so fast. I asked him why he is talking so fast and his reply was I am very busy. He asked what else I needed I replied guitar picks he asked what kind I said what are my choices he rudely pointed to the back wall behind his counter. After looking at his product I decided he was to rude to me for no reason and does not deserve my business. He had time for the people in front of me and the customer waiting after me but I wasnt worth his time. Too bad for him he doesnt realize all the customers that will now go to his competition.

I walked in with my ukulele. I needed buttons installed for a strap. Dave was heading out for the day. He was kind enough to stop/stay and help me! The lady at the counter was a sweetheart! For a small local store, inventory is good. And, they are willing to get what I need if they dont have it. Yes, I could buy on line. But, expert advice is worth a visit. Im pleased to have this luxury near by. Im here now because I am looking for a purchase. Figure it out.~Mary

Dave is a legit and caring store owner. Due to a manufacturing defect a tremolo bar broke off in the block of my Fender Strat, while he was reconditioning and stringing it. At his own cost and time he ordered a new block, took the guitar apart, installed the new block and put on all new strings. He was very apologetic even though it wasnt his fault and he refused to allow me to pay for the service. The turn around time on the repair was real quick. I couldnt be more pleased with his professionalism. This is how you earn a customer for life and the guy really knows guitars. I recommend him highly to anyone looking for equipment or service.

What a great locally owned music shop. Dave the owner was super helpful and took the time to discuss different options available. A level of service you dont get at the big national shops.

I just got my martin guitar back. After having Dave at Gator Music set it up absolutely amazing it is perfect I will always go to Gator Music for any repairs or set up or just strings I couldnt be more happy thanks Dave you are the best!!!!

Terrible experience. went on while I was on vacation, and instantly felt like I was supposed to leave. the owner was completely silent except for telling me not to touch anything without asking. every-time I asked him if he could get something, he rejected the request. after finally letting me play something, I asked if I could go through an amp. In an annoyed tone, he said I guess. after playing for five minutes, he yanked the chord and guitar from me and told me I should have a feel for it by now. do not come here if you like to be valued. go to guitar center for an overall better experience.*editim 14 and whos to say I wasnt going to buy anything? maybe not a guitar but If a local store owner is a nice person ill usual pick something up. also my parents were there. all you had to do was your job, which you suck at

Fabulous gem in Naples. Dave is an amazing guitar tech. He setup my Gibson Hummingbird to perfection. Please support local business this one small shop that deserves your patronage.

Very disappointed Gator Music remains in business after all of the people I’ve talked to who have been talked down to, cussed out and yelled at by this guy. I seriously thought this man was going to physically put his hands on me. Not only that but I spent $300 on a terrible guitar and when I politely pleaded with him to give it back, he kicked me out of his store. I truly hope you read my review, and choose to buy your musical gear and do business elsewhere! YOUVE BEEN WARNED!!!

UPDATEI had a problem with my ukulele (Im a novice so not really a problem, just me being inexperienced), so I returned to the shop this morning and the gentleman behind the counter fixed my problem without making me feel like an idiot. So thank you Mr Gator Music. When its time for new strings, or my next ukulele, Ill be back.ORIGINAL POST OCTOBER 2020I usually shop online but because of covid-19 I felt it more important to spend my money locally and help out a small business. I was greeted by a very friendly sales associate who spent all the time I needed to help me out and answer all my questions. The store is small and very nicely kept. I did indeed find what I was looking for and when its time for my third ukulele, I wont hesitate to give my business to Gator Music.

Im here for a week so I just needed a rental. He could have easily just handed me the case and taken my money, but the owner took the time to check out and set up the guitar before I left. Im very happy with the experience and while its a small shop its packed with nice guitars, amps, pedals, etc. Pretty much everything you need in a music shop.

Appears to be good selection- however, customers have no access to guitars. Its nice to be able to strum a guitar, put it back up, and pull down another to strum.

Dave (Owner) offers great help and is very knowledgeable. I have purchased a number of guitars from Gator, as well as other neat instruments and gear. Its nice to have someone experienced to talk to before purchasing to make sure what you are getting is a good fit.

Kept getting delays and backorder emails from guitar center so I cancelled my order and started calling local shops since Im not from Naples. The owner met me at the shop personally to let me check out a guild acoustic during a pandemic on a Saturday. Prices are similar to any good shop back in Georgia. Good people and a good store.

When I went into the store there was only 2 good guitars in there and those two guitars were a Gibson Les Paul and a Paul Reed Smith. When I went to ask him to take down the Les Paul he said Well are you going to buy it. I replied Im not sure, I havent even touched yet. And then he said I thought so and then walked away and went back on his computer. The other time I went in I asked him if I could play on a Marshall amp. He said I couldnt play it and went back to babysitting his kids. Never go here because he is very rude. You should just go to Guitar Center instead.

I stopped in to purchase a condo guitar for practice while visiting SW Florida. Dave, the owner, was extremely helpful and friendly. Even though the purchase was not very expensive, he cleaned the instrument and volunteered to place new strings free of charge. Very professional. I will return for all my condo music needs.

Good reviews make no sense they have the worst stock Ive ever seen.Dont go here if you want a nice guitar, the employees dont want you to play the instruments or touch them. Come here if you like feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable. Store is extremely small. Any other music store is a much better choice.

Underwhelming. I stopped in today on the recommendation of a friend. There were two workers in the store, and 1 other customer who promptly left. All I wanted was a beginner guitar and some supplies. Stood around for 7-8 minutes as I was roundly ignored. Started picking up guitars and just strumming and picking the strings and putting them back. Nobody said a word to me. The manager went in the back room and was playing some video stuff on his PC, and the other worker appeared to be repairing guitars. Totally unimpressed at no greeting upon entering (this is a small store), and no service at all. Returned home and bought a guitar on Amazon, and it came with many supplies and has good reviews.

How FORTUNATE Naples is to have a store like Gator Music, whose staff is genuinely passionate about what they do, but more importantly, they use their music to bless and benefit our community. I work as a music therapist and I go there for ALL my musical needs for myself and my patients because they always take the time to help me find exactly what I need to do my job well. Today, Matt laboriously searched for a tuner for me to help with a very unique tuning need. The energy and time he took to listen to my peculiar scenario really made my week. Support this local music store, because they are SURELY supporting our community!!

Absolutely horrible service, they sell defective products refuse refunds and refuse to provide quality service. Owner literally yelled at me. This place should shut down.

Great place! Dave the owner, is very helpful, and knowledgeable about guitars, amps, and basses. He can definitely help you out with any of those needs. Also, if he doesnt have what you are looking for, he can order it, or steer you in the right direction. Hes definitely gone above and beyond in helping me with my guitar needs!

Well stocked, mostly guitars, basses and accessories. Friendly knowledgeable people, lessons, the owner Dave is a luthier, the works. Much better than the competition in Naples. Prices are slightly over what you can get online, but there is tremendous value in advice and good service. I learn something every time Im there.

Brought in bass guitar for quick wiring repair. Dave was able to repair it right away, very quick and did a great job. Wide selection of high-quality instruments and gear. Also purchased a bass amp (Roland Cube) from Gator Music, would highly recommend it.

Went in to look at purchasing a new acoustic guitar, but I had no idea what I wanted. Matt (I think thats his name) was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient with me while I sat there for an hour trying to decide which guitar I wanted to buy. The best customer service Ive had in a very long time. I love my new Breedlove!

Really nice folks and probably the only place in the county id trust to handle repairing and setting up my guitars. They also have a really solid selection of guitars, amps, and pedals, especially considering the store is sort of small. All in all theyre my favorite music store Ive been to, and I highly recommend them

Amazing Customer Service! Very Generous Owner Dave Is, He Fixed My Guitar Issue Within 2 Minutes For Free, Very Knowledgeable Of How Instruments Function. The Only Thing Is That Its Not The Largest Selection If Youre Into Metal, But Great Place For Accoustic, Ukelele, Rock/Blues Ect.

Purchased my first guitar here. Owner was very friendly and honest. Here actually talked me into buying a cheaper guitar since I was a beginner. I love my guitar and I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Walked into store and felt unwelcome immediately. The associate behind the counter was more concerned with a football game on tv. None of the instruments were set up to play though an amp. The store looked in disarray. When I went to play a guitar, the associate came over to me as if I was going to damage the item. I’d rather buy online from Sweetwater Music!!!

A Real Guitar store. This is the place for all your Guitar needs in Naples. However I dont recommend this store for Guitar repairs they are to busy and are not thorough or timely.

Dave is a talented lutherier, he can repair anything on a guitar or amplifier. Matt is very knowledgeable and the store has an unbelievable selection of acoustic, parlor, classical, archtop, hollow and semi-hollow as well as solid body guitar...amps another huge selection.

I was trying to purchase a new gituar for my boyfriend and online it says you are open until 4 but when i arrived i was greeted with a paper sign that says they have summer hours and they close at 2.
