I have purchased two items from Bob Kretchko Antiques, and the transactions were flawless. One item was a Japanese wooden chest, the item was exactly as pictured, and the person who received it as a gift was very excited to get it. She is trying to find a place of honor for it in her house in NH. The 2nd item was a vintage beanpot that Loretta had posted on Facebook. I mentioned I had been looking for one, and she offered it to me at a very reasonable price. I am in FL, but was soon visiting CT, so I picked up both items personally. Loretta even boxed up the beanpot for me to ship home, not something I was expecting at all. The box arrived today and I am so happy I finally have my very own beanpot, I cannot wait to make the first batch of NE Baked Beans!! Loretta is very knowledgeable about the item she sells, and I will most definitely be watching the Facebook page for more treasures in the future!

I cant praise Loretta Kretchko enough for her help in clearing out my late sisters house. She has been unfailingly responsive, practical and professional in every interaction I have had with her. I contacted her based on the recommendation of my realtor, and she has been just wonderful. Loretta has some beautiful pieces as can be seen on her site. I wanted to share how kind she was to me a complete stranger.After our parents passed we were finally getting ready to sell much of what we had left after cleaning out. We planned an estate sale but were bordering on being overwhelmed! Loretta mentioned she wasn’t really interested in what we had after viewing photos I sent . She was behind in her own business and still took the time out of her busy day to advise me over the phone through emails, texts and calls over two days!!! The kindness she showed- offering advice on how to price, what type of items are valuable, how to dispose of unsold items… was so touching especially in today’s world. The advice she gave was invaluable and I am so grateful! I was so impressed with her knowledge and how she she knew the time period of items from a photo. She said if she had been available she would have met with us but gave us credit saying it looked like are sale was pretty much set up! I do hope to do business with her in the future, for now I have made a friend. I hope to one day learn much more about buying and selling antiques but I have a long way to go and will count on Loretta to guide me!
