Walked in about thirty minutes before closing with a wedding party of 25. Owner did not hesitate to seat us. Good location, great atmosphere. Appetizers were okay, but would go back again to try an actual full meal. Cheesecake was great. Thank you for having us!

Great place to hang out because they open till midnight. Had decaf latte with almond milk. No oak milk though. It is a hookah joint so I always stay inside instead of the patio where all the smokers congregate.

Nice place located just around the corner of Dover and Pacific Hwy with sittings available for both inside and outside. Covered parking available and free WiFi.Ordered egg white veggie omelet and crunchy French toast (generous portion) coupled with a quite tasty drip coffee for the drink. Likely to come back again.

The place is small, cozy and quite affordable. The food is really good and the staff very friendly. Its nice to sit outside and listen to the sound of their small water fountain. The only problem was that hookas were not available at that time even though they are offered on the menu.

The food is amazing, the service is wonderful. It is a very friendly and welcoming resturant with the best hookah in southern california.

Such a bummer!

I would give them negative 5 stars if I could. We were seated for an hour and they never came by with our food or drinks and the waiter looked so lost and confused. We were starving and they said it would be a few more minutes. We were also harassed by some very young patrons. It was the worst experience ever. We just got up and walked out without any food or drinks. The customers said they are pretty rude to the customers there. I ask them why would they even come back ?

Had a great experience. Food was great! Atmosphere was nice and peaceful. Ate outside due to pandemic and it was very nice. Has a little water feature in front. I ordered chicken Kabob & my wife ordered the Red pepper chicken pesto sandwich. Amazingggg 🤤 . The service was legit the reason why I left this review. Our waiter Roberto was on top of things. Good convo. Very friendly and made sure we were all taken Care of. Had a good personality and good vibes. I will definitely return. I recommend this restaurant!

What do I say about Xanadu restaurant in Newport California what do I say let me tell you fabulous food fabulous restaurant Ambience Galore the man who owns the restaurant absolutely fabulous his staff absolutely fabulous lets put it this way do dinners and order three glasses of wine to Bobbys that were accidentally fabulous for less than $100 walking out of that restaurant for two people a wonderful evening out and let me tell you if you dont go cuz Xanadu in a Newport Beach and have some of the best Mediterranean in all of Newport California then you will be doing yourself a disservice and they have hookah which we will try next to guy to chase weather flavors and let me tell you Im beyond the wine was amazing food was even better and our coffee with Goodrich so take advice from the the chef and restaurateur to be if you dont go to Xanadu you will really be missing out on one wonderful evening all my love the future Chef restaurant or Samuel

Came here with my friends in the morning and we got the avocado toast 😋. It was amazing and definitely filled us up so I would say it was worth it for the price. The inside is clean and cute which is always a plus. Will definitely come back when we go to seaside again!

Went here for brunch with a few friends, and we were disappointed by the food, service, and general safety response to the pandemic.Service was absolutely terrible, with us waiting for 20 minutes just to have our drink orders taken. We ordered appetizers and entrees, and the food came out sporadically. (We ordered two orders of avocado toast as appetizers, for example, and one came quickly. Then our entrées, then the other toast. The table wasnt cleared at a regular interval either, so each time a server showed up with a plate, they would just stand there because they had no where to place the food.) The staff was not at all attentive and could be seen gathered in the empty dining room showing each other things on their cell phones rather than taking care of the three tables on the patio / sidewalk outside.None of the food tasted great. Two types of avocado toast were uninspired, the shrimp / mahi dish included a human hair, the side salads served with the entrées included slimy / spoiled lettuce, and the server completely forgot one of our entrées, and despite reminding gently two times, she actually brought the check and at the same time said that last dish will be right out which was nearly an hour after it was ordered.Despite the above, I was prepared to give a good review since small businesses are suffering right now. Unfortunately, the restaurant staff had no acceptable response the the pandemic. Not a single person working at the restaurant was wearing a mask or shield, and the staff were not sanitizing tables between guests. We left feeling grossed out and embarrassed that we had taken friends to this restaurant we had previously enjoyed.

So far I have tried, calamari, guac and chips, their Kababs and deserts, overall tasty food. Their hookah is also smooth, they change the charcoal frequently which is a plus;)

Eggs Benedict were really good, coffee was really good. Prices were totally reasonable - two mimosas, two breakfasts, and a coffee for under 50 bucks. I came around 10 on a Saturday, there was plenty of seating, Im surprised that its not busier, but it was the Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Awesome place! Great location and ambiance. Ive gone for brunch with a friend and it was delicious. Ive also gone in to just grab a coffee and healthy shake after the gym. All times everything was excellent. The service is great. I highly recommend this place.

Best place to have a quick drink and snack. Were short on cash and our waitress BERLIN 💓 kindly offered to pay for our extra charges as well as throw in a beef slider. Such gratitude and positivity flows throughout this small at home cafe. 10/10 Recommend it and the food was GREAT 😍😍😍.

Only one individual was working the morning we decided to eat here on our vacation. Our breakfast from being seated to leaving took over three hours. Our party didnt complain about the wait and was very understanding which bit us in the butt because everyone else received their food after vocalizing their dislike for the service. I ordered avocado toast that came with a cup of spring greens that tasted like they were dressed with fat free mayo. It wasnt worth the wait or experience. Yet another place benefitting from their location.

Would definitely come again. Coffee is organic and was good. French toast was tasty, a little soggy but I like that. The patio is surprisingly not noisy even with all the traffic passing by. There is parking structure parking which is awesome

Went for dinner a couple of times, great food and great shisha (hookah). Mohsen took great care of our table and has made sure every visit has been an enjoyable one.

Food was superb and presented like art. Service was amazing and I will definitely be coming back and to this restaurant. It was a great place to visit and do some work and enjoy a meal with a friend. It was also pet friendly and the food was very high quality organic food. The owner Erin was there when we went and so solitiious and has created a really nice space to relax.

Giving a 2 Star because the wait for our food was incredibly long. And when the food does come out, it’s cold and we are so hungry, we eat it anyway. We have been there numerous times, thinking it’s a new ownership and need to work out the kinks. The presentation of the food is beautiful, but if it takes over 30 min to get avocado toast and eggs, it’s not worth it.

I heard about this new cafe from a friend and decided to give it a try. I was really impressed with the quality of the pastries, a lot of places have croissants that seem like they are pre-made and are too chewy. The turkey and cheese croissant I had at Xanadu was perfectly crunchy and delicious! The coffee was great too, I went for basic black coffee with cream and wasnt disappointed, but they have several interesting lattes and teas that I plan on trying out in the future. If you are in the area and looking for a cafe, definitely give Xanadu a try!

First of all, gluten and dairy free girl right here. Also very pregnant so I’m hard to please! But I loved the food; I got a fruit smoothie and a veggie, gluten free burger with fries on the side. Also had some fresh fruit- it was all perfectly delicious. Love this cute little place! Great decor, awesome flowers everywhere. It was peaceful and so nice. The owner and waitress were very hospitable. I can’t wait to go there again!P.s. gluten free isn’t listed on their menu, I had to ask about it. They did say they have gf French toast for breakfasts!
