Im not one to usually give reviews but after my experience I wanted to make sure it doesnt go unnoticed. Every single employee was such a delight to be around. I never felt like I was just waiting to leave because I was having enjoyable conversations with everyone. Not to mention the awesome service and pricing they were able to offer me. Definitely give them a chance if you are looking, you wont regret it.
Literally ever employee was so polite and extremely helpful. They make it enjoyable to be be in the building. Special shout out to Sandy at the front desk for being both insanely nice and incredibly helpful. Outstanding place, cannot recommend enough
My husband and I visited this location in January 2021. Everything involved in his glasses was rocket science whereas mine were simply readers. Interestingly, when we went to pick them up my husbands were 100% spot on and mine were 100% off the mark. They put the wrong prescription in. Recognizing this, they were to correct the lenses to the appropriate prescription. Upon picking them up the second time, the prescription was still incorrect and caused 3 dimensional text when reading. Taking them back the second time - mind you these are readers and not the rocket science of my husbands - I was treated with disrespect by a rude sales associate who ironically was pleasant on our first visit to the store. She told me there was nothing she could do about it, she couldnt read the prescription off of my original glasses to apply to the new ones (we all know thats not the truth) and that she was going to have to talk to the doctor. Needless to say, I left the store due to poor treatment and frustration. Fortunately for me, my husband was in the car and decided to handle this. He went into the store and within minutes the same sales associate was at the car discussing a resolution. I left the glasses for the third time. Again, these are simple readers and guess what ... upon picking them up the third time they were still incorrect. I was still seeing 3 dimensional text. In all actuality we dont believe they did anything to correct them. I spent $300.00+ on these glasses and eventually took them to Lens Crafters who read the script on my old glasses and the new ones. Guess what? The prescription was wrong - WAY wrong - so I started from the very beginning with Lens Crafters. I paid $120.00 for a complete eye exam and ultimately another $280.00 for them to swap the lenses to the correct prescription. This one pair of simple readers ultimately cost me $700.00+ and a ridiculous amount of aggravation. Our advise ... visit another Wing EyeCare location or skip the hassle and go to Lens Crafters where you are treated with respect and your business is appreciated.** in response to the patient care team - NO! $124.68 isn’t a sufficient reimbursement for the overall hassle I endured. Pathetic.
It was a great experience for my Husband and I. The staff are amazing and taking COVID seriously. My Husband and I were very anxious going in but they made us comfortable and safe. You cannot go in if you dont have an appointment, that is their policy and people need to follow it. This is for their employees and customers safety. They will also take your temperature. It is my first time getting prescription glasses and they made sure Ill get the right prescription. The store is very clean! This is going to be our vision store from now on. Good job everyone! The office staff is ridiculous... they seem to be using Covid-19 as an excuse to not let customers in... I even heard them laugh at someone trying to get in the locked door! The doctor is nice and my prescription is right. When you pick up your $$$ glasses they make you try them on outside on the sidewalk! Why? If we can come inside for a visit then we should definitely be able to come in to pick up. Just ridiculously lazy - too many other options to be treated like this ... I’ll definitely be going somewhere else for my next glasses 😡
I started with Wing Eye Care in Alexandria Ky. I saw the Mrs. Dr. Lance there. She said I needed another test on a machine that her husbands office in Newport had. I was told that someone would call me to make the arrangements. No one ever called. Although this could have had a very negative effect on my sight I was willing to over look it. I called back later and was able to get an appointment.Because I was 10 MINUTES LATE THE DR WOULD NOT SEE ME and told me I had to reschedule.WOW INCOMPETANT AND INCONSIDERATE.There are much better Doctors out there. I wont be rescheduling.
Have been back to office 3 times so far, glasses still not right. Its ridiculous, hopefully the fourth time is a charm.
Great experience, despite the anxiety of a 17 year old learning to wear contacts for the 1st time. Isabelle/Jeremy & Brian were patient, helpful and kind. They have mastered being professional and yet relaxed with people. Awesome selection; great docs.
Got there without an appointment, my error for not reading paperwork from VA. Called the location and explained I was there, and Brian said he would meet me at the door...went above and beyond to expedite my visit. Much more convenient than going to a VA location.
DO NOT USE WING EYE CARE! My husband purchased $$$ glasses. He works out of town for 75 days at a time. He picked the glasses up the week he left for work and they broke during that trip (30-40 days after receiving them). As soon as he returned home he had them repaired at Wing. Within a month the other arm broke and Wing is saying it will cost $150 to repair! (These are only a few months old and should not have broken twice already.) Must be very cheap glasses for which we were charged a lot of money!! Shame on you Wing Eye Care! We will never return to Wing!
I was happy with wings Eyecare up until this point. I have a pair of frameless glasses that I purchased for the amount of $600. The frame is broke within the first year and they were replaced. The lens is messed up in the second year and they were replaced. About 18 months in, meaning about six months since they last repaired my glasses, my glasses broke up again and they are telling me they can no longer do anything about it. Did not even offer a discount on a new pair. I explain to them that I would no longer use them as a provider and that is exactly what I’m going to do. They do not stand behind their product. I glasses should last longer than 18 months.
I was struck by how patronizing the doc was. He never took the time to realize that I am educationally his peer and to respect me as such. I can only imagine how poorly he must treat others. You are a medical professional and as such your job is to provide your expert opinion AND treat your patients with respect and dignity. This was a failure
Great experience with Dr and staff. Dr took time to answer my concerns and explain the details of my exam. Staff was helpful in getting the right glasses and options. Very pleased, confident in recommending
The office manager, Bryan Hubert, was incredibly helpful. He repaired a pair of glasses made in 1934. For most specialists this would have been beyond their capability. Not only did he handle the problem with ease but he did it in less than 30 minutes. It was an amazing experience and Ill definitely be bringing my business to this office again.
I was initially told my glasses should be ready in about five days, after a week I called and was told it could take up to two weeks. When I called again after two weeks, Sandy informed me she didnt know the status of my order, and didnt seem to inclined to find out what the problem might be. I have been to this location on three separate occasions and its never been busy, so I was surprised at how little attention to detail this staff shows towards its customers. Even more surprising to me, as someone who works in hospitality, not one word of apology for their inadequate services when I contacted the office.Thankfully my purchase was refunded quickly and I can take my business elsewhere.So if you arent in a hurry to get your glasses and are not looking for great customer service, then I would recommend this location as it is conveniently located!
Tiffany at the Newport location has suggested my frames twice now. She is amazing, so kind and good hearted. Please go see her and all of the other wonderful employees and trust them with their knowledge and experience!
Terrible Service. Very unprofessional. I came in with a prescription for glasses. I was told it would take 7 to 10 days, 2 weeks went by with no update. I called inquiring about the order I had placed and was put on hold for 10 mins. I hung up and called back to a person laughing at the fact that they had forgotten that I was on the other line. I was then put on hold AGAIN. A couple minutes went by when the person returned to the phone and was STILL was unable to give me an update on the status of my order and would call me back tomorrow with more info. I received a phone call the next day with the explanation that my glasses were on back order and werent sure when they would arrive but would call me when they do. I asked how long that could take and was told maybe 2 to 4 weeks after already having waited 2 weeks. I asked for a refund and took my business somewhere else.

Really disheartened by most recent experience with Wing Eyecare in Newport, KY. Their policies are unforgiving and staff is impersonal. My family has been going to Wing for years, but last week my husband had to miss an appointment because he was called into work last minute. The office wasnt open yet when he called to cancel so he left a message. Today he called back to schedule a new appointment and was notified that he would no longer be able to schedule appoints going forward, instead, he is on a same day schedule list that only allows him to call same day to see if the doctor has an opening. Needless to say were going to look for a new optometrist and recommend you do too.
No problem with exam. When I was filling out paperwork I gave my eye care insurance info and she asked for my regular medical insurance info, I declined to give it... no problem. After my exam in exam room the Dr. was questioning why I declined and I said I dont give out info that is not required or needed. The Dr. couldnt understand this. Who needs to deal with this?

Doctor was friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to answer any questions that I had. The staff was the same. Best eye exam I ever had.

Update: July 3rd, 2019In reply to the RESPONSE FROM OWNER: At no point did I receive numerous calls to resolve this. However, I called and after stopping in and speaking with Bryan Hubert, this issue has been resolved. Honestly, Bryan is the only employee Im confident in to handle my business moving forward. Bryan, thank you.Used my existing frames for my new prescription and when I went in to pick them up, the frames sat crooked on my face, which they hadnt before. Went back only to have the girl working there BEND MY FRAMES! Now my glasses do NOT close correctly. A week later, they called me to ask about my experience, and when I shared with them what occurred, they said they are not responsible for frames. Will NEVER refer them or go there again.

I could not be more disgusted with my service. After spending HUNDREDS (and I mean HUNDREDS) of dollars on glasses and a contact lens exam, I was basically bullied into an expensive contact lens; I was given a sample and told to try them. What I was NOT TOLD: the doctor WROTE MY RX FOR THAT PARTICULAR LENS. When I came back to order contacts, and indicated I did NOT like the lenses and wanted to order a brand Ive previously used, I was told I was fitted for that particular lens and would have to schedule ANOTHER APPOINTMENT (see also: spend more $$) to get fitted for a different brand. Frustrated and out of time, I spent TWICE AS MUCH on lenses I did not like instead of getting the brand I know and trust.I went back this week to obtain my Rx, so I could get it filled elsewhere (see also: so I could spend less $$). I was told the Rx was only good for the expensive brand that I did not like. I asked them if I could GET an Rx for the brand I preferred. After conferring with the doctor, I was told that the brand I wanted is older and they dont carry it, so the doctor was unwilling to write me the Rx for it. I would have to make an appointment (see also: SPEND MORE $$) o get fitted for a new Rx for a different brand (not the ones I want).

This doctor will not give me my PD because I didnt buy frames from them!! Also, had my eye exam on 12/18 (Monday). They said contacts would be in later that week. On 1/2 (2 weeks later) I called them to ask if they had come in and was told that they had just arrived that afternoon. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!
