I am thoroughly impressed by this shop. My father’s 2002 New Beetle has been having intermittent issues, and MPC was quick to find the cause. They provided me with very informative pictures, accompanied with explanations and breakdowns. They’re extremely honest and made our visit painless. We will be back!

First visit to MPC. Performed an oil change, MT fluid change, brake fluid flush, and drivetrain system fluid changes on a 2017 Golf R 6MT. The staff is happy to take the time to discuss options for your car to keep it running at its best. So far the car is running great and shifting smoothly. Definitely considering returning to this shop for clutch and tuning upgrades.

Ryan, Tom, and his guys are fantastic. One of my best experiences with a garage in quite some time. Their web-portal when dealing with services is refreshing and something Ive been wanting for years. Theyre very responsive. While we needed quite a bit of work done to our car, the quality for each repair was great. Worth the trip if youre in the Chicago-land area. Will definitely be returning.

I rarely write reviews, but this place is fantastic! I brought my used BMW Z4 here after purchasing and both Ryan and Tom were incredibly knowledgable about the N54 platform. They guided me through the recommended maintenance needed to keep my 2011 Z4 running smoothly and how to protect against known weaknesses of the N54. I also had them install a Stage 1 ECU tune from GIAC and the results are amazing!! If you need maintenance or are looking to improve the performance of your car, this is the place to go!

A little more pricey than some other places, but my biggest issue has been spending hundreds if not thousands of dollars on repair jobs that were not thorough enough or did not resolve my issue. This place is differentThe management and staff are extremely knowledgeable and professional. They do an incredible job diagnosing, inspecting and researching your car. They are remarkably transparent about their inspections, diagnosis, executing the job, and reviewing the car after the job. Part of this transparency is due to their using an online repair management system where they share the details, photos and videos related to your car to you securely.I had my Volkswagen diagnosed for a bad turbo, had the turbo replaced, and had a tune placed on the car. Couldn’t be happier.

Im VERY particular about my car, so when I was forced to find a new shop due to increasingly sketchy work and steadily increasing prices, a good friend in the aftermarket business recommended MPC Northbrook He could not have been more accurate! I gave Kyle a list, they sent me a very reasonable estimate and despite the ongoing COVID debacle, finished the car in great time. When this is all over I cant wait to see the operation inside! I had a great experience with MPC Northbrook. They did a pre-purchase inspection of a Porsche 997 for me. I was not local, so was depending on them to relay the actual condition of the vehicle. They were extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and communicative. They shared a full report and we had several long conversations about the inspection. I wound up not moving forward with purchasing the vehicle due to several issue that they found (saving me many thousands of dollars and much headahe...).Highly recommended!

I am a little bit sceptic when it comes to taking my car to mechanic I like to do things on my car my self, get my hand dirty but this time I didn’t have the proper tools to lift the car and put ECS tuning performance exhaust on my Audi S4 and I chose this shop to do it for me And i can say I am very happy with my choice . There was a issue with the claps, ECS tuning send the wrong clamps for this particular exhaust and Ryan and his team tried few different other clamps while being in contact with ECS tuning sending them a pictures to resolve the issue together and to do it right and they were keeping-me posted every step of the way . I got my car next day and i am happy with the exhaust and their work . I will be coming back here for future tuning or upgrades to my car . Thank you !!

Tom and his crew explained in detail the options I have for not only the maintenance side, but the performance side of my car. A refreshing take on giving honest suggestions that boost both performance and keeps reliability. Anyone can slap some parts on and upload a tune to make your car go fast, but if your car gets thrown into limp mode after every 3rd pull whats the point( my previous experience with my past tuned cars). Not with these guys at MPC. My tune has been reliable and made me fall back in love with my car(18 months now). A simple whys my dsg shifting hard turned to a lengthy conversation about servicing and tuning.I have had terrible experiences with shops returning my car with candy wrappers or grease stains all over the car. Not with MPC. They completed all work in a timely manner and my car was returned to me without signs of anyone even touching it but ofcourse much faster and much more enjoyable to drive.I live in Southern Indiana and come up to Chicago to visit family, but I am happy to say that I would without hesitation drive 5 hours just to have them work on my car again (which they will once I decide to go bigger turbo and upgraded brakes and suspension).Thank you for the refreshing high quality service and honest business practices. Not all shops are created equally. MPC stands high above the rest.

MPC Northbrook performed excellent work on my Audi S8. I had them install APR downpipes and a Stage 2 tune along with a full fluid service. The work was done correctly and they were in constant communication with me on the progress they were making and the anticipated completion time. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff that was willing to discuss other performance and maintenance items along with their experiences servicing my model of car from other customers. I would highly recommend them for your service and performance needs. I will be back for sure.

Great shop. I just started taking my car to them this year but I plan on coming back for years to come. I would recommend to anyone needing their Porsche serviced. I had MPC install an exhaust on my car and after some freak accident where part of the exhaust fell off and caused a bunch of damage to the rear of my Porsche. I lesser shop might have told me that I was SOL but MPC made it right and fixed the exhaust and damages. They are top notch business and if you want a shop that will stand behind their work and make it right if anything ever happens this is the place to go.

Went in for a high pressure fuel pump and low pressure, about 3 days later the car started having issues at hot start, first visit they told me fuel line, didint work.(and yes charged me for “diagnostic fee”)Second time they told me it was a fuel pump control, didint work again. (And yes charged me again). They told me “the car has no more problems and it’s ready to hit the road”. As soon as I got home same issue. Literally a couple of hours later. They did offer a rental but wasn’t going take any chances of me getting charged again. LITERALLY SCAMMERS (the shop is about an hour from where I live and had to go about 3 times for this issue wasted more time than needed to)

This place is great! I took my car ( 18 FocusRS) to get checked out after purchasing it this summer, and these guys - Ryan and Tom specifically - were amazing. They thoroughly inspected, and prodded every part of the vehicle. They made sure everything was in order, and informed me of any details that seemed off. They also took note of all the after-market modifications, and explained them to me (not car savvy) in a detailed and understandable manner. I couldnt be happier with the service at this place, and would be happy of relaying that to the owner/ manager, whoever. Definitely doing everything at this shop.

I took my Mk6 Golf R with almost 100k miles on it into their shop recently to have an O2 sensor replaced for emissions.. We ended up uncovering a few minor trouble areas that took some time to diagnose. With my permission they ended up going above and beyond the call to make sure the car was as solid as the day I drove it off the lot. Overall I am really pleased with the level of professionalism and attention to detail they put into my car. MPC does not cut corners. Between their knowledgable staff and the top notch parts they use MPC has completely satisfied me with there work. I know my car has been thanking me and I will definitely go back. They will treat your car as if it is their own.

Had MPC do a APR Plus tune on my new Audi and all went great. Very responsive to questions ahead of time and afterwards. Shop is very clean and state of the art so definitely recommend. I will be using them for all maintenance over the dealership.

Ryan and Tom is the guys you want to take care of your car! I had huge issue with check engine light that other shops failed to fix. MPC was able to resolve this issue and my car runs great now. Their mechanics do a great job, and i like the fact that Ryan and Tom are on the floor involved in the work being done. I got Bilsteins PSS coilovers installed, with an oil change, oil Diff change done, and the car is running like a DREAM.Hands down the best in the midwest. They will give you a after install brief about what you might want to do next and other great recommendations. And when you pick up your car, itll be all nice and clean! This place is M.I.N.T! MPC Northbrook did a great job installing a set of Soul Performance exhaust headers on my 991. I found them through Souls website as they are a listed installer. They were very reasonably priced and completed the work quickly. They also did a great job communicating the progress throughout the day. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the facility as well. I would not hesitate to bring back any of my vehicles for either maintenance or other performance-related work. Very recommended.

This place is my go to for tuning and other modifications. I’ve done 4 cars with them and every time it’s been a great experience. Tom and Ryan are always helpful via email or on the phone and sometimes depending what I need done they can get me in and out in about and hour or so. They Will always have my business.

This seriously was the most professional Auto stop I have made in my two decades of experience with being a Car enthusiast. The knowledge, the swift responses are beyond all expectations. MPC would. MPC did. And MPC did a great job.Overall, 10/10 experience, would recommend.

Car started acting weird after I went in for a dsg flush after about a week of weird shifting I called back and they said “we recommend a new transmission” took it to another shop problem was fixed an hour later.........

Tim and Ryan were extremely helpful. I got a downpipe, a full exhaust, and stage 2 tune from apr installed. My car sounds absolutely amazing now. They were very communicative, professional and friendly. Customer waiting area is very clean and they offer hand sanitizer(to be honest its one of the cleanest garages Ive ever been in).One of my clamps warmed up and loosened one of my exhaust clamps and they fixed it immediately and at no charge. I will definitely be coming back for future installs. I highly recommend using their service.

Went in for an oil change and needed a new engine

I decided to get my R32 back in good shape after many, many enjoyable miles. I didnt know what the car needed, and I couldnt find any shop that understood where I wanted the R32 to get to. After a survey at MPC and then consulting with Tom, I agreed to a fairly comprehensive car suspension overhaul (almost all OEM). Of course, I also agreed we should remove the grease from one of the brakes (I needed axel boots). They were able to complete a few VW recommended maintenance items - all in one visit. Ryan kept me updated on progress. The car was completed very quickly and drives better than where it was 100K mile ago! Great advice, great work, great schedule and great results! Thanks Tom, Ryan, et al! I appreciate your work- every drive I take.
