The service was fantastic, they were attentive and they answered all my questions, even some questions I didnt ask. The issue is My car is running ALOT WORSE after and simple oil change. I saw the mechanic with some type of torque wrench on the drivers side. I didnt think π€ nothing at the time. Paid my bill and left that place. I would say later that day the driver side wheel starting shaking and continue to shake. Im just saying this is what I experienced at that place. Maybe it was just a coincidence but I really dont believe in coincidence. I just wonder what happened to the car to make the entire right side to shake. IDK, but It feels like something is loose.
I used to work at jiffy lube. One thing I remembered was greeting the customer asap. Ive been sitting here for about 20 min. Nothing!!!!! Zero acknowledgement. In fact a gentleman pulled up next to me and got service for his tires right away. Two employees are currently helping him. Sad customer service has got this bad.
This location gets busy very quickly throughout the day. Best to come early morning. All the fellas are so polite and can get you in and out quickly for things like an oil change.

I get e gift cards from my employer. I piΓ§ked Jiffy Lube and got a card with code. This location wont honor them. Thank goodness I asked. I tried to use coupons there in the past. They dont like those either. If you go a bit further North on Harlem ave to Madison Ave there is another Jiffy Lube there that takes gift cards.
Careful of the upsell.I went in for a quick oil change before a long road trip. They tried to upsell me three times:Tire rotation, engine and cabin air filters, and tail light.Tire rotation- just had done, easy decline for me.Filters- one of the guys showed them to me and quoted them out and I also declined ($$$). What irritated me was the lie with the engine filter. He told me that when the glue line turns yellow that was the indicator to change the filter. Well, as youβll see in the attached photo, the new filter also has a yellow glue line right out of the box. So no, thatβs not an indicator; itβs a scam upsell for the unknowing. These filters for my suv cost less than $25 each and took me less than 5 mins to change. Oh, and they guy who put the cabin filter back put it in wrong so had I not changed it out the next day, my cabin air wouldnβt have been properly filtered.Tail light- it wasnβt out after I asked to look at it.Oil change prices were competitive with other places in the area and the staff here was incredibly friendly and personable, just beware of the extras they try to sell. Check the website for coupons before going.
Good group of dudes at this location! I came in for a rideshare vehicle inspeciton this afternoon and expected to wait, but they got me in and back out on the road in under 20 minutes. Professional service! Ill be back for an oil change later in the month.
I canβt remember the last time I wrote a negative review, but Iβm starting to think these guys may have pulled one over on me yesterday...I was distracted and stressed out while there which was my mistake as I admittedly donβt know a ton about cars. I typically google everything before agreeing to have a service done anywhere, but the reviews of this location were good and I just didnβt have it in me in the moment.When they pulled out filters to show me mine needed replacing one of them was pretty bent and smooshed. I could be wrong about this but Iβm not sure how that happens while the filters are actually in the car. Meaning they either bent mine then made me pay to replace it or were blatantly showing me filters that werenβt mine. The guy showed me the one they were putting in, but he was pretty far away so I couldnβt see well. I hope it was at least a new filter. I just read a few reviews from people saying they found out later that the services they paid for werenβt actually performed. I truly hope that was not what happened in my case.The guys working there were very nice, and Iβd be happy to edit this if it turns out Iβm wrong about what happened. But considering the financial (and mental) state many of us are in right now, I felt the need to speak up. That was money I wasnβt planning to spend this month and it would suck if it was spent unnecessarily.
Went in for an oil change no check engine light on. Came home realized they stole my engine sensor and replaced it with one that was no good. Bunch of rats at this location
I dealt with a Ron Degeatano and the experience was amazing. He inspected our car and only replaced what was needed.Then after he completed the work I showed him my 2 estimates from local competitors. He then tested my alternator and battery, both were perfect and my serpentine belt was also not dry rotted or cracked like the other estimates stated.Thank you Ron for your honesty and great service

Everything about this location was great. The customer service was excellent. The only down fall about this place was a courtesy tech named Jay. I just got the exterior detailed and I asked for no courtesy services done. But this guy did it anyways. They did give me a discount on the next service due to this. But still the service tech should listen to details.Update: So I began developing mechanical issues after this service visit. White smoke from the exhaust minor knocking. So I took it to my dealership they tested everything. Its either this location didnt swap out my engine oil or using some lesser quality recycle oil that doesnt meet standards. Cost me 400 plus and 250 for a rental. ππ½ Live and you learn.
Those cats there great. Showed me stuff I didnt even know about and they werent pushy on the sales end. They just informed me on alot I didnt know. Ill be going back for sure.

Not going back to this one. Just didnt appreciate the treatment by the techs trying to tell me I have a transmission leak when I tried to explain it was a power steering issue and was basically called a liar. Think Im going to start changing oil myself again.
I had a really great experience with this Jiffy Lube. I know nothing about cars. I often feel like people take advantage of that when I go to get things fixed on my car. I did not feel that way here. The staffed walked me through what they were doing and why. They even showed me the things that they were replacing. They did not make me feel pressured to pay for any services that were not necessary. They were very kind and professional even though I brought my car to them in pretty rough shape. I really appreciated this experience - the most positive I have had while getting my car taken care of.

If you are looking for just an oil change they are good.HOWEVER they will try to up sale you things. They offered to change my spark plugs and they did a very POOR JOB. When I left the check engine light was on. One of the managers told me you just need to drive the car and it check engine light will go outI cannot believe they allowed me to leave with my car in that condition.I had to go back and MAKE THEM fix my car!DO NOT ALLOW them to do anything but change your oil!!!They might mess that up too!!!
For a Wednesday morning, it was moderately busy and fully staffed. The culturally diverse staff was super friendly! Each staff member greeted each & every customer with a very warm welcome. My visit involved getting an oil change and engine air filter. Overall, the service was excellent. And I should emphasize that there was a huge amount of politeness from every employee.

Very nice staff! Friendly with my dog as well. My only disappointment was that my glove box was emptied and the contents left on the floor of the passenger side. Was told windows were done and they werent. Despite these things, they were thorough with their work and I appreciate that.

So...story time: Ive been owning cars like since I was 17 and part of car ownership is maintenance. Having a good shop to go to for things you cant (or dont want to) do yourself is paramount. Ive used other Jiffy Lube locations for my cars and now that Im a married man, my family as well. That has now changed unfortunately. Not because they damaged my vehicle. (They didnt. Theyve always taken care of my cars well.) My service experience was unacceptable.After taking my car in for a routine oil change, they charged me for the wrong vehicle and also had me pay for my own. After telling me that theyd cancelled the charge and it wouldnt show up on my card statement, it did. When I told them this, they told me that if I bring my receipt and my bank statement to the location and they would process my return. Upon arriving at the location, I was then told that only the store manager could process the return and that he wasnt in (contradicting what they told me on the phone 20 min prior.) So I return the next day, repeat this process and am now told by the manager that he needs to contact his regional manager to get my refund. He says hell do this by the end of the day and then call me. At the end of the day I receive a call from the assistant manager and now I have to explain the mistake they made to him. At which point he tells me that the return should be processed in the next couple of days. It hasnt been. Ive called my bank to dispute the charges.All that being said, Id reckon that this is an extremely rare instance when this would happen (since the process is so broken.) However, Im not going to recommend a business that makes it this difficult to give you back the money that they acknowledge isnt theirs, after having you jump through hoops, make multiple trips, and speak with 3 different employees about whats happened.

EDIT:About a week after posting this review, I was contacted via phone about my issues. I have spoken with the owner, and my claims were verified. They have taken efforts to make things right. It should not have required a public statement, but such is the case. Regardless, the mistake has been fixed. My original review follows.I went in for service and was recommended over $600 worth of service it didnt need, spent two hours there, and came out and before I could get off of the property, ended up with $200 worth of new problems unrelated to the recommended services. When I addressed this with them, they refused to accept any responsibility, but were quick to use it as an opportunity to try and sell me even more things I didnt need. After spending 30 minutes getting the run around in the store, I had the problems they created fixed elsewhere, and reached out to corporate customer service. That was over a week ago and I still havent heard a peep from them.Everywhere seems peachy until something goes wrong, then they show their true colors. If this experience is anything to go by, you should not take your vehicle here if you care about it or your wallet.

These guys are the best!! Cant thank Jamal and his crew at Jiffy Lube enough. They were able to replace my alternator and pump a couple months ago in an emergency situation. My starter and battery decided to die out on me this morning. Called 6 different mechanics who all told me they cant even look at the car until Monday(today is Saturday). Called Jamal and they had my car back up and running within 2 hours. Quality/professional work at an honest price. Not just good for oil changes but all around car maintenance. Oak Park Jiffy Lube rules!!!
Id be dishonest if I said I didnt have second thoughts on taking my car to a Jiffy Lube after reading many Jiffy Lube horror stories. However, after taking my car to this location, I have been experiencing great customer service and fair pricing on my past visits. I also overheard one of the mechanics talking to another customer and didnt charge them a dime for doing an inspection on their car or try sell them unnecessary repairs. Honesty is a big plus and so far this Jiffy Lube is getting my business for that.

I wish I had read these reviews before i visited the site on Harlem in Oak Park. Same experience - overselling things not needed to the tune of almost $250. Blamed new service manager, but clearly all of the posted reviews describe the same thing. Will not return, ever. I did receive a refund after complaining, and Mike and Jonathan were very polite and accommodating. Still, if I can not trust the person working on my car, I do not need to do business with you.
The technicians at this Jiffy Lube are always professional and make a point to explain two customers exactly what is being done or what needs to be done.
Terrible. My dad always used to say they lube you up before they f*** you. WAY OVERPRICED. Didnt want to take my coupon. They try to SCAM you into paying for things you dont really need. They tried to tell me I need a new air filter and all this crap, i had another mechanic look at it and said it was perfectly fine.

Literally came in for a standard oil change on Saturday.. only because it was needed really badly an my normal place was packed. They check it out say i need an air filter an lights over my tag. The next day I start to smell burnt oil..call back an they say its probably just spilled oiled come back an we clean it off or it will be driven off in a couple of days. I come back an now I have a massive oil leak thats been there for years supposedly. I asked if it was there before I came in last time wouldnt I have been advised. He says you should have, but we see so many cars a day maybe it was over looked. So you mean to tell me you notice I need plate lights, but make no mention of a massive oil leak and I came in for an oil change. Please get real...I will be calling corporate an reporting this location.

Got my brakes changed a few months ago (different nightmare). Came in to get my oil changed, and they tell me my brake fluid is low, and theyll fill it up for $XX. I say, Oh really, if that is true, then you screwed up, because you changed my brakes just a few months ago. So, they checked again, and it turns out they were mistaken, the brake fluid was NOT low, and did NOT need to be filled up for $XX.Standard automotive criminals.

I went in there for an oil change, left out with water in my reservoir, and they tried to say I gave them the water to put in there. I spoke with the assistant manager and showed him my video, then spoke with the manager who tried to place blame on me.This place doesnt deserve the one star. Terrible service this time around, they didnβt tighten the oil filter cap causing the oil to leak out, they didnβt top off any of the fluids they said they had done. Never going back to this location.

The owner is a clear racist and his son is the general manager. They refused to refund my money when they put an old filter on my car and attempted to scam my wife into replacing a valve on my car that isnβt even there. They are lying cheating scamming scumbags and I will never do business with them again and I recommend you donβt either. I am currently seeking legal advice and have reported them to corporate and the BBB.
I got here at 850, with the people saying an oil change would only take about 15-20 minutes. I was stuck here for an hour. Mind you I had to be at work at 1030 in lakeview.....terrible service and slow
