Really wish I could rate less. Had a good experience in store which is about where the good stops. After making the sale and telling us 2 weeks to get the set it became impossible to get a hold of anyone. Finally someone calls to say they have our set and will be delivering. Call me the evening of delivery saying they couldnt find the bed and asked if I would take the floor model. Then they show up without the dresser or mirror and only half the bed assembly. Delivery happened around 9 pm and I had to assemble the bed still, which is when I found out they didnt bring any of the screws or cross slats for the bed. Around 11 pm they finally show up with the remainder of the bed. Here we are 2 months after the order was placed the dresser finally shows up, without the mirror. Now we get the mirror and they didnt include mounting hardware for that either. Good luck getting a hold of anyone that works for the company. I got the regional managers cell phone and still cant get a response. All around terrible experience.

I was told my refrigerator would be delivered on a specific time and date. I left work early to be home to receive the delivery since they stated they could only come that specific day for my area. I had to make arrangements to leave work early to be there. I emptied the refrigerator I was replacing, had that refrigerator picked up by a person who wanted and was ready to receive my new refrigerator. I had to call AF twice to find out the status of the delivery only to find out they would not be delivering it that afternoon. I was very upset since I had all my food on my counters and ready to put in the new refrigerator. I lost most of my food that evening due to this HUGE misstep from AF. When I talked to the manager, Chris, I received very little understanding or care about my situation. The delivery fee was waived but that does not make up for the inconvenience and lost food. I am hugely disappointed with AF and their response to my situation. I will not purchase anything from here again and I will definitely not recommend them. I also highly encourage the owner of this store to train his managers to be more responsive to customers situations and to demonstrate kindness and true genuine concern and to escalate these types of situations to a higher level.

The worst customer service I have experienced in this store. The person who was helping me ( I dont know his name, no name tag) was giving me prices whatever came to his mind. I had to force him to check prices and tell me correctly. After checking it was lot lower than what he told me. I asked for another stove which had a dent on it, he just gave me a random number. I am pretty much aware of different brands of appliances and prices so I didnt agree to his number. I asked him to check the correct price. He said it will take him 40 minutes to check the price. He asked me to wait or come back.I will never recommend this store to anyone. The worst customer service is given here.

The in store shopping experience was A+, absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff, great prices, easy financing. However, my delivery experience is the reason for the 3 star review. My delivery came pretty late from the time frame i was given. Also, my mattress and box spring were missing, so had to be brought the next day. That day I set up my bed fram and was getting ready to put my headboard on and noticed I had been given the wrong size headboard. They were quick to remedy this situation and brought the correct size with my late mattress and box spring. Its a shame to have this delivery experience after such a wonderful in store experience. Overall, however, BECAUSE of the wonderful in store experience and great pricing I WILL likely be a return customer and hope for a better delivery experience next time. We are all entitled to have an off day.

Chris at the Oceanside/ Vista Way location was really nice and helpful. Great personality! He deserves 5 Stars but the store its self, I only gave 4 Stars because I think $80 for a local delivery to a location thats literally just 15 minutes away is rediculous. I paid for it because I didnt have any other way to get it home by myself. If you are getting delivery information and its that close by, you should not be charging $80. Maybe $40 makes more sense. Take care!
This store has decent selection of furniture, appliances etc. Their associate Chris was very helpful in finding me the perfect sofa set-Sorrento brown sofas&recliner. My order was delivered efficiently and handled with care by 2 other associates. Overall, no damage and Im definetly pleased with this purchase.
I purchased a New In Box fridge for my 93 year old grandmother. We arranged a friend with a truck to pick it up. When it arrived and we unpacked the box, the fridge had a HUGE DENT in it, like a forklift had run into it. Had to haul it back, and bring back another. This next New In Box fridge doesnt even work properly! The fridge cools, but the freezer doesnt (it gets cool, but not cold, wont freeze ice cubes). We tried adjusting from the manufacturers recommended setting to the lowest, and allowed each setting to try for 48 hours since Ive heard it can take more than a day to get to the proper temperature. Nothing makes the freezer work. I called the store and they will not accept a return or refund my money, because it has been more than 48 hours (its been 3 business days). Even the manager wouldnt do anything except tell me to call the repair company. What a dishonest place -- this was definitely NOT New In Box, so buyer beware!!! I did not want a broken fridge, and now Im stuck with it!
I recently bought a cooktop stove over the phone and oh my goodness that was the best costumer service I’ve ever had. The employee there named Noe was such a nice guy and helped me a lot with ordering the stove. Hell, he even sent me pictures to show me how it would look like since online didn’t have the best photos. Honestly 11/10 costumer service and store. Would recommend anyone to comer over and buy their appliances from that guy, Noe.
I purchased a new fridge and already had a leak near the water filter. I called the store and Christopher was so helpful in making sure I had my warranty set up properly in order to have the specific part I needed replaced. Probably some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced employee was turning off lights as we were walking through, no one greeted us. Hispanic kid and black kid working closed 15 minutes early aswell.
Quick easy purchase. The delivery was a nightmare. Delivery window was from 11-1, called at 1 and was informed the delivery was delayed and the new window was from 1:30-3:30. Called at 3:15 and asked about delivery again and was met with “Well, I called everyone.” Well...you didn’t call me. When the other reviews state how bad the delivery is, IT IS. I rearrange for dog care and for my bother-in-law to be at the house while I had a personal appointment. Good news is that they took the old fridge with them!! And they arrived 10 mins later to deliver
I was pleased with the personal art this location, they were courteous, educational, and very professional. The on site manager, Jessi was really attentive and educational, while Noe was truly a fountain of knowledge and patience. The professional way this company handles their business is wonderful. I have a bed and breakfast and when an appliance dies on me, I need to replace it IMMEDIATELY. My first experience was needing a clothes washer. I went in, found one at a good price and noticed the same day delivery sign. They agreed to same day and they actually beat me to my house that day. I stopped to grab something to eat and they called and said they would be at my house in 5 minutes! WOW! My next experience was needing a new dryer. I was in and out of there in 1/2 an hour. Delivery will be in a couple of days since I am coordinating install with another person. Again, Wow! Thanks Crystal and all that makes it so easy. No pressure, good knowledge of product and nice selection.
Great staff, great follow-up. This is my 4th appliance from Sears outlet - the prices are great and the quality has always been there if you dont mind a little cosmetic damage. This purchase (washer/dryer) was more damaged than we thought, so I had to exchange it, but the manager Alex handled everything right away. If youve never purchased here bc youre nervous about out-of-box things, dont be - go for it - its worth it.

Excellent customer service. Very easy to buy an inexpensive appliance. Not sure why sears puts out totally destroyed appliances for $400 +, but hey maybe someone wants the destroyed look??? But we found a good deal on a new dishwasher. Reg. $800, got it for $385 out the door. Appliances font come with power coards, so thats weird, but the sales people were great and knowledgeable. Will definitely use them again.
Good for low cost appliances, especially with the time one has to wait for appliance orders this year 2020. You can see what is in the store. Theyll deliver and haul away for a fee.Bad for answering their phone and wont conduct business / purchases over the phone. The delivery service did not remove the packaging bolt nor tell us it was there, which caused considerable inconvenience.

I needed to get all new appliances (fridge, washer and drier). I was amazed at how much lower the prices are vs buying brand new. Not only that but the customer service was the the best out of any place I have been to in years.I got everything I needed for about 1/3rd the price of buying brand new.I was that customer and bought a fridge that didnt fit. Jason, the manager was extremely helpful and more than happy to let me return/ exchange for another fridge.I had the washer, drier and smaller fridge delivered. The delivery guys were even nicer. Talk about service with a smile and chatting up the family. Super respectful.The only annoying part was that when the drier was delivered it didnt work. I went back to the store, picked out a new one and it is being delivered in a couple days.I couldnt be happier with my experience. I must have interacted with 5 different staff members and they were all very helpful and nice. Would highly recommend.
I bought a washer that had an issue at Palmdale, CA store. Jason the manager at Oceanside, CA American Freight store obviously has pride for the company he works for and wants to make sure customers are satisfied. He resolved my issue. He was very professional took action immediately (picked up the phone fast to find out how the company can resolve issue) he didnt just say sorry cant help like they made me feel when I called the Palmdale store. All companies will run into problems especially a discount store of this nature. But it is the level of professionalism conducted by the employees and level of pride they have in representing the company they work for that helps build the reputation. Because of how satisfied I was, with confidence in the company, I bought a dryer there the next week. And also took my in laws to that store to purchase a rug and a microwave and they were happy with the attentive customer service received there at Oceanside.

We bought a fridge here and the door was uneven and they said it was an easy adjustment. Turns out no. The fridge had been messed with and rigged. Screw threads where worn down and structural pieces are bent. It is not fixable. Need a new fridge. Waste of money. They were obviously dishonest about the damage. It clearly was not just cosmetic.
We had a great shopping experience w Alex, the manager, and his entire crew. He is a man of his word, and selection of appliances is really good. We purchased a scratch/dent model but a few magnets on the doors and it was a phenomenal deal on a name brand French Door Refrigerator. Excellent customer service thus far, highly recommended.

If I could give zero stars I would!! Came in here trying to buy an appliance. Walked around for a while and had the employee Larry look at me and my family and asked if we were all together, I said yes and he walked away. I had to go up and ask for help... He didn’t even try selling, all he cared about was how we were going to pay and that our budget was low. Talked bad about other companies to feel better about “sears”. I never leave bad reviews about ANYONE but this is by far the worst. Felt so discriminated and uncomfortable. Will definitely let a lot of people know about this and post on social media! Had better service at the Best Buy outlets! Disgusted!

Huge selection of refrigerators at around 50% off. Most have cosmetic damage like dents. We found one that had dented handles but the rest looked good. We were able to order replacement handles from Sears parts website for about $70 apiece. If you are in the area they deliver for a fee. Id definitely shop here again.

Excellent customer service and great discount on scratch and dent appliances. If youre looking for an appliance and dont mind some scuffs or dents, this is the place to go. Wide variety to choose from and honest staff. When one person didnt know the answer to one of our questions, he went out of his way to find someone who did and then stood there and listened, so he would know the answer next time. I never see that with other store associates! Their inventory changes, so check them out before you buy elsewhere.
Friendly as can be service and these guys stand by their promises. Had help from (3) different Alexs and another gentleman who I cannot remember his name but regardless, all were cordial and helpful. Admittedly was nervous about buying a new appliance from here since I have usually purchased new. I will say after this experience I will be back for other purchases. Ended up with a brand new looking high end fridge usually 3k for only 1.2k !!!! One teeeeeny little scuffs mark that is covered by a magnet. Id recommend shopping here but get anything thats marked (new, cosmetic)

I bought a washer and dryer form this store 3 days ago, just had the time to install them today, both have major problems, Sears said call the warranty line first, I did, they said oh you need to call the store for return policy, called store and they said, we have 3 days return policy (which they did t tell me when I bough them), now today is the 3rd day, I’m by myself on the second floor 50 miles away from this store, how I’m I supposed to take them down, load them in a truck and take them back before they close?! I bought from sears to get a piece of mind, I ended up with a big headache!Update: I was able to take them back the next day after speaking to the manager, staff stayed professional and compassionate.. I’m keeping the 1 star review for bad products and the money, time and headache I wasted dealing with this, buying from somewhere else.
Everything was ok in the store. Good service and product knowledge. But after purchase...delivery takes weeks. They don’t answer the phone. My delivery window came and went. No delivery and no call. No fun to spend my weekend trying to hunt them down. This imperfect merchandise isn’t priced any better than new stuff elsewhere. I won’t give my business to Sears again.

I bought a stackable washer/dryer for my rental house in North San Diego County. When they delivered it, they wouldnt install the dryer; I had to hire a handyman to install. Once it was installed, the dryer motor worked, but didnt heat the clothes, despite the web site saying that they checked all appliances before putting them out for sale. We had the GE repair people come out to fix the unit under warrantee, and they said that both the washer and dryer were not working, and they would need 2 weeks to get parts to fix it. We returned it to the store, but then had to go back with a debit card for them to refund the money we spent on installation. All because they couldnt be bothered to properly check the operation of a returned appliance. A waste of a lot of time for both me and my tenants, and 3 trips back and forth to Oceanside.

My experience with sears outlet was by far the worst NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SEARS OUTLET!!! As I shopped around looking for the best deal I can get I decided to purchase a mattress from this place sale price at $700 (king size) the manager approached me and asked if I wanted to join their Lease It program in which meant I would make monthly payments up until the item was paid for. I signed the agreement and for five months my automated payments were set up and paid for. I noticed the automated payments didn’t stop for two more months so I called the number on the receipt and they stated that I would have to pay depreciation price in the amount of 280 if I wanted to keep this item! What the manager failed to tell me is that I technically was not paying 700 in fact I was actually paying 1000 for this item !!!!.......I AM NEVER SHOPPING AT SEARS OUTLET EVER AGAIN THEY LIE TO YOU JUST TO GET YOU TO BUY THEIR REFURBISHED ITEMS!!!! I’m

Surprisingly very good deals with getting warranties also. Only relationship with Sears not directly owned. People super-friendly and will work with you. Check out the clothes really good deals. The appliances are the real attraction. If you want higher in and dont want to pay top dollar for it there are good deals there.

We had a great experience with PJ, a worker at the Sears Outlet on Vista Way in Oceanside. He was very thorough and helpful, and tried to get us the best price and delivery rate. He explained about their points program, (which we didnt know anything about although we have been buying from them for years) PJ even tried to get us points for a discount based on a large purchase we made there in April (when we find the receipt, he will help us get the points for a future purchase.) We ended up buying both a washer and a dryer because he was so helpful.
We have purchased several appliances from Sears Outlet in the past and always loved saving money and didn’t mind a dent or two. However, our latest refrigerator purchase from the Sears Outlet in Oceanside has been an absolute nightmare. After our current refrigerator stopped working last Thursday I took the day off and was at Sears Outlet Oceanside at 10am hoping I could get it delivered the next day. I picked out the fridge I wanted and our salesman Larry and the manager Terry confirmed that they could deliver it the next day Friday! I took the day off on Friday waiting for delivery but they never showed up. No call, no notice, no refrigerator. I called and called the store but no one answered the phone and finally after calling throughout the day someone picked up and told us that they made a mistake and now it can’t be delivered until Tuesday. Tuesday??? How did we get from Friday delivery to Tuesday? I asked if I could speak to the manager Terry and they said he was busy but would call me back but he never called me back. I wish the poor customer service stopped there but it doesn’t. I drove to the store on Monday morning to talk to Terry but he wasn’t in but I did confirm Tuesday’s delivery and again asked for Terry to give me a call. Terry has still never called me. Now it is Tuesday and I got a call this afternoon saying that our fridge would arrive between 3pm and 5pm. I got another call saying that they are running late and it won’t deliver until 7pm. Then the driver finally called at 7pm and said they would be here in 15 minutes. I know this is crazy but the driver NEVER SHOWED?? I have called him back several times at the number he called me from but no answer. I have never experienced anything like this, it is hands down the WORST customer service experience I have ever had in my life. Do yourself a HUGE favor and DO NOT buy from this location!
Went for a dishwasher. Nothing but broken well beaten discontinued models. Nobody even came to see if we needed help. When we got someone the prices were as much as new units, often more. Save your time

Update: I spoke to Jason on Tuesday, the day it was supposed to be delivered. There was a “glitch” and we were never put on the delivery route. We canceled our entire day of appointments for nothing. He comped half of the delivery fee. Half.We rescheduled for today, Friday. Five days after purchasing the fridge. Delivery system works. We get the call last night, my husband takes the day off to receive the fridge today. It arrives, THERE IS A NEW DENT IN THE FRONT DOOR. I am annoyed but whatever. Our food is spoiling in a cooler while we wait and I just need a fridge. Delivery person plugs it in AND THE FRIDGE DOES NOT WORK.I call the store. No one answers. The delivery guy calls. No one answers him either. I call again, someone answers and says Jason will be busy for a “very long time” and he will need to call me back. TWO HOURS LATER I had to call him AGAIN. He tells me he has no solution and also even if I come all the way over there and find a new fridge AGAIN he can’t even get me on the delivery route until Tuesday. Four days from today.In the meantime, the delivery truck broke down in front of our house and blocked us and our neighbors in for almost an hour.I AM DONE WITH THIS STORE. NEVER AGAIN. My 1-star review stands.~~~~~~~Monday, 4/1/19~~~~~~We had to search for a salesperson. Once we found someone, I was unimpressed with the customer service. I asked if I could choose a window for delivery. Nope! was told we would get a call (from a machine) tonight between 6pm-9pm with a delivery window for tomorrow. I could take it or leave it. I decided to roll the dice and hope the delivery window worked with our schedule. No call. I called the store while they are still open and no one answers the phone. So now the question is how much of our plans do I need to cancel tomorrow to take a chance on whether a fridge will or will not show up.If they redeem tbemselves I’ll change my review accordingly. So far, completely unimpressed. I’d rather pay more and get better service.
Interesting store. Ive only gone in to look for inexpensive clothing for kids or Theater production costumes. They sell appliances and other house wear goods. I think this store is a discount store on products that needed to be moved off the floor at the regular Sears Stores.
We have gone to a few Sears Outlets this is by far the largest one of the few that we have seen very nice area and a very friendly environment including the associates they did a great job trying to help us and they did thank you Sears and God bless
