Always happy to go into this store. I started going there back in 2008 when I was station at camp pendleton(when it use to be by the front gate). Wife and I wanted to go deep see fishing and I new this place had what I needed. Big hammers are always in stock.

We visited here with my kids w/o having any knowledge of what we needed or how to fish on the beach. Dawson told us exactly what we needed and setup our rod/reel for us. We went out that same afternoon and caught +6 fish right off the beach. My son (and I) loved it. Highly recommend this shop!

Just moved to the area - not familiar with fishing locally, the crew here was really knowledgeable and friendly with helping me find the right tackle. Small but well stocked store with fair prices. As always, had another great experience here today. Gary was really helpful and helped refresh the handle on an old rod for me. After that we talked the local boats and his recommendations. Walt (the owner) is a pay-it-forward kind of guy, excellent customer service. I came in looking for a small spool of line for a short length, they didnt have it. But they did have a larger bulk spool. Walt asked me what length I needed. He cut that length and said here you go. Wouldnt take money for it and I tried offering. Walt just said just keep us in mind when you need fishing stuff. This kind of service is refreshing to experience. I stopped in today based on a recommendation from my boss. Im new to salt water and these guys are great! They walked me through a few techniques and recommended/sold me a few lures to get me and my son started. I appreciate that they didnt try to exploit a new guy, but instead, let me know that a lot of my freshwater bass gear will work. Military friendly! The kind of team that makes you want to visit again and just shoot the breeze.

Horrible customer service. If you have an issue with a product prepare to defend yourself, as you will be interrogated with the rigor of an FBI background investigation from the moment you walk in the door. Credit to Walt, once you pass his interrogation and are complete with the process of being treated like a criminal you will be accommodated. The young skinny short guy (name unknown) is a know it all, and Walt the owner is condescending and not willing to listen to any other perspective outside of his own. There are many other stores to spend your money. Don’t waste your hard earned money at a place where you won’t be treated with respect.

Brandon there was a Huge help to me today. Ive never really done saltwater fishing before and he helped get me totally set up and dialed in on my first visit there. I will absolutely be back! Thanks guys.

One of my goto tackle shops in North County SD. Went in today to upgrade my rod for my baitcaster. Brandon was great in explaining the rods that fit my needs. Usually they have select bloodworms and other great bait add well as a knowledgeable staff.

Great local shop! Plenty of tackle to get you fishing for just a day, or keep you fishing year after year. Bait is typically well stocked. Its my go-to destination for bloodworms & cut bait.

This place is great. Owner, Walt, is very helpful as is the rest of the staff. Extremely knowledgeable and will train you on the spot how to tie proper knots and rig your equipment for any type of saltwater fishing. They know what you need to take your fishing to the next level and are extremely informed on local fishing activity.

I am new to the area and new to surf fishing. I walked in with a blank check and walked out with a fully rigged rod and reel, a lot of advice and training and a bunch of accessories for under $70. He could have sold me anything but he explained that salt water was very hard on equipment and suggested I start off inexpensive. Very satisfied, will go back, and recommend them to all.

Started at anglers tackle. Basically explained I had little to no experience with pier and inshore fishing. The guy had no time for me or my questions and I was ready to spend some money. Stumbled upon pacific coast and was met with a wealth of knowledge, hot spots, printed and hand drawn maps. He also asked what gear I already had in order to save me money on stuff I dont need. Ive never been skunked while fishing their suggested spots.

These guys know their stuff. They have helped me from tackle box and pole purchase and repair of my reel to where the beach fishing is good.

These guys are great. About a month and a half ago I came in looking for a new spotty setup. I’m pretty new to saltwater in general and I rolled into the shop 5 min before they closed (quickest I could make it after work). They stayed open 30 min past their closing time giving me advice and setting me up with some sweet gear. I ended up cracking the reel seat on my rod and brought it back in. The rep for the rod company (Phenix) couldn’t make it in this week due to Fred hall. The guys at PCBT knew I have spotty fever so they replaced it before the rep could even check if it was under warranty. They even let me upgrade by simply paying the difference. Only spot I’ll buy my gear in north county for sure. Plus, they are also anti-hookupbaits 🤘🏻

Place says they are 2 weeks out more like over a month for the littlest repair just a tip. Crappy customer service, people are more worried about selling product to others. Worse tackle store I have ever been referred to by a friend.
