I have an older Lenovo laptop and was having an internet browsing issue. Though I was in need of a new laptop and after I visited the gentleman working on Saturday, 10-9-2021 around lunchtime(sorry did not catch his name), he fixed my issue in a matter of seconds and did not even charge me! After trying to troubleshoot my first high end computer as to why I couldn’t receive any power James at the front desk was extremely knowledgeable on how to fix the issue. We have used this place a few times for 2 different computers and always had a good experience! Recently I followed some bad advice online and “broke” my computer. They fixed it immediately, patiently explained what happened, and didn’t even charge me. They could’ve totally taken advantage of my lack of computer knowledge but they were honest and helpful.

Got my Dell All-In-One back from PC Repair and it runs better than when I first bought the thing! I mean, WAAAAY BETTER! Andrew has excellent customer service skills and the company retrieved the data from my hard drive very quickly and efficiently. I was not in a hurry, my main concern was retrieving the data, and doing it securely.Andrew went out of his way to make sure my data was secure, and I am sure he treats all of his clients with that high customer service effort.

Brought in laptop with a key that popped off. Nothing broken and nothing missing. The guy wanted $35 to pop it back in for me. I mean $35 for a 5 minute fix puts his hourly wage at $420, which makes him an expensive lawyer. If he was fair and said $15 or $20 I would have said yes. But Im not getting ripped off. Dont trust this place and will never return.
The staff at PC Repair Center are very knowledge. I had lost all the pictures from daughters birth. I was heartbroken. My husband remembered he had backed them up on an external drive from an old Apple G5. The drive had not been touched in years. They told me my options but made no guarantees. Woohoo!! Not only did they retrieve the pictures, they also recovered 20GB of music. The turn around time was very quick, and completed by the promise date. The price was more than reasonable. They took the time to show me how to access the flash drive. I highly recommend this shop.

Brought in a laptop that the manufacturer told me the motherboard was bad on and would cost 3 grand to fix(basically the full sticker price). Brought it into the shop as a last ditch and they thought the hard drive maybe causing the problem. Told me they had to buy a hard drive because they didnt have one for my laptop, but if that didnt work no cost to me. It worked, 3k from the manufacturer, 200 from the shop for a working laptop. Big thank you from me!
Had a PC with issues and brought it into the shop. I told them I was pretty sure it was a RAM issue— I didnt have any spare sticks so I was hoping they could do a quick RAM swap and test. End up having to pay for a full $50 full service because of policy, come back later to pick it up, they tell me its a RAM issue after all. So I go buy the new sticks of RAM, swap out the sticks, still no dice. After some of my own troubleshooting (didnt want to spend another $50) figure out I need a new motherboard as well. Buy the motherboard, hook everything up with the new RAM, everything is good to go. Out of curiosity, I stick the old sticks of RAM back in, everything works fine.TL;DR told them I might have a RAM issue, pay $50 for them to tell me its true, then find out RAM was fine the entire time and that it was a motherboard issue.EDIT: The store contacted me about getting a refund shortly after, and just got my money back with no hassle. Great customer service, unfortunate things didnt work out.
This place is a bit .. odd.. The older man that works here is a bit awkward to talk to which initially made the interaction strange and a little uncomfortable. I know that tech guys don’t always have the best social skills but still, it was a bit strange ..BUT more importantly, I was able to bring in my iPhone for a cracked screen repair right away and pick it up same day which was awesome. And for a fair price as well! The younger guy who was there when I went to pick it up was MUCH more personable and “normal”. Sorry that’s not really the best word to use but the only one that comes to mind. Not trying to hate on the other guy it’s just that the younger guy (Javier I think!?) is a just a much better fit for customer face to face interactions and service . His personality is better suited .So I gave 4 instead of 5 just due to the initial experience but overall, I’m very satisfied!
Quick edit at the start, this company apparently put in a new reply over a year after this review was written. Anyway, her e is the actual review: Terrible everything. I wound up spending a huge amount of time and money, with no working machine to show for it at the end. Briefly, I brought a laptop in that wasnt working well. After multiple failed promises to call me soon, I was told I had a bad hard drive. They put a different one in, but never gave me a warranty or anything, so it might have been used, because it died three days later. Then, after many more phone calls and trips to their shop, including one trip to find they werent there during their listed business hours, I was told I a technician had noticed something sticky on the laptop, a blatant untruth. Later, I was told had a bad motherboard, and that the bad motherboard had made the hard drive go bad - which is close to impossible and another load of BS. An older, gray haired guy working there was really rude to me when I went to pick up the carcass, which was a little unreal considering they had the computer for a month until they came up with the bad motherboard excuse. Anyway, long story short I opened the computer to find a hard drive that wasnt the one I supposedly bought. It was stuck in loosely, as the hard drive caddy (holder) was missing. Before I pitched the computer I decided to try a different hard drive on my own. It worked and now the computer works great. I of course had to go back to get the caddy. To sum up, these guys were beyond bad in all aspects - technical ability, customer service, and timeliness. Cant believe they have good reviews. Edit: You say below that you gave me a refund and free service. You gave me a partial refund, for the bad hard drive and installation, but you kept the diagnosis fee (or misdiagnosis, in this case). You also inexplicably put a bad hard drive (not the one I bought or the original) in the machine and left it there without telling me.
I walked in with my computer was greeted by a tech taking care of another person. He checked my computer, told me a couple program issues, told him what I needed fixed quoted me a price. Next day they called my computer was done.

PC Repair Center is my go-to place for computer issues. They have worked on my old desktop twice and recently worked on my HP Laptop. They are professional, polite, prompt and reasonably priced. They kept me informed of progress. Javier took care of a virus quickly, recommended Malware and Eset Antivirus; he also transferred a large volume of iTunes files from an external hard drive that wasn’t working correctly. Andrew installed the appropriate software on my laptop, Samsung tablet and phone. He also showed me how they worked, set up my laptop email accounts, deleted my outdated office software and added some handy shortcuts and time savers on my laptop.

I have a old big beast a Dell precision 690.. I needed Windows put back on my computer. They did that but my power button came off, they fixed that and clean my workstation out completely... My Dell is back to normal thanks to you guys.. You have my continued support and thank you guys.
This joint is full of computers needing repair, but the serviceman took time to make me feel looked after. I came in and thought I would just drop my computer off and leave quickly after sharing my issues with the representative. Instead, he took time to talk to me and go through my problem as well as several iterations of troubleshooting which actually resulted in fixing the problem in about ten minutes and I was out of there problem solved!I cannot say this will be the case for everyone, but they are good at making you feel like a valued customer even though it appears they get plenty of traffic through there.I would go there again.

I took my PC into the PC repair center after attempting to install a new GPU which resulted in a complete loss of power to my system. What was initially described to me was a burnt-out motherboard (was told everything else was working fine) which would take about a week to get the new part in and replaced. I was excited that I didnt burn out my GPU and would be able to salvage every other part so I approved the order for the new motherboard. What happened next over the 2 months it took for them to get my computer working made me frustrated and confused beyond belief. The person I talked to who initially diagnosed my problems was different from the person who ended up working on my system - this was apparent after I received a voicemail late one evening from the person actually working on it who said that the GPU was fried. I was understandably upset as this was a much nicer GPU and I suspected they fried the GPU during testing and then played it off like it was fried when I brought it in (despite the initial diagnostic saying otherwise). Also, the motherboard they ordered was the wrong one so they had to order a new one. They ended up ordering a total of 3 different motherboards that didnt work. Finally, I was told they would have to move everything over into a new case to get the final motherboard working along with a new power supply. However, I had to go back to using my old GPU which was very upsetting considering that installing my new GPU was the entire reason for the burn out in the first place. Very frustrating experience, did not appreciate having to call them over and over myself to get an update, didnt appreciate having to speak with a different person every time who didnt seem like they knew what was wrong with my system. Also, the notes they took on the problems with my unit were so sparse and unspecific, Im not surprised so many mistakes were made and things took so long. I will not be coming back.

Only $49. for them to diagnose, and that gets applied toward whatever the repair is.In a time when there is almost no such thing as customer service, it feels good to find and use a business that is completely customer oriented.I refer everyone I can to them.

Updated review: Thank you for reaching out and finding a solution. Replacing the screen for the cost of the part alone is better than paying for parts and labor the second time. I wish things worked better the first time around but I now understand smart phone parts can be defective, even if its apple and that I should purchase insurance for iphone.-----------Previous review - 2 stars: Not sure how this place got 4.4 stars. I replaced the screen on my iPhone because it was cracked on June 22nd. The screen started flickering at the bottom inconsistently soon after replacement - spent $100+. Eventually, it got worse and I took it back on September 22nd. They said it was out of warranty and would need a new screen. I asked them if they would try to see if there is some loose connection of some sort that can be easily fixed. They said they would take a look free of charge. I went back after 1/2 hour and they said the screen is still flickering at the bottom. They said the screen still needed replacement. I left telling them that I’m not going to pay another $100 for another screen.
Truly flawless, after years passed and multiple computers broken these guys were the people id to go on the get-go. sure they may make mistakes rarely, but you got to accept it. and even if they do you can easily watch a you-tube video and fix it. their prices are superior to the rest in my opinion. they fixed one of my spare computers which couldnt boot. After it could boot I then formatted the drive into Linux. If these guys werent here youd be looking at a four digit fee instead of a two or three digit fee.
29JULY2019 FLEE from This Place: 15 months went by and my laptop was never fixed. No matter how many times I called or showed up. Today I picked it up, of course unrepaired, as I am fed up of the lousy service and absence of call backs. Their business card says Fast 48-hour average repair turnaround time.... I am certain that their definition of average is not the one the rest of us have. Avoid yourself the waste of time and frustration.

A few months ago, brought in a 2009 MacBook Pro Laptop that had gone crazy (cursor moved wildly all over the place). We thought we may have to retire the computer. On a hope and a prayer, we brought it into the guys here at PC Repair Center in Oceanside. After a few days, they fixed it and it works great now (as well as you would expect a 2009 MacBook Pro Laptop to work). I use it for basic things, no gaming, no video, no Netflix or the like. On a Sunday, my workhorse PC would not start up. I took it to Sammy and he had it back to me fully operational the same day. He found & replaced a failed memory chip. I built my Windows 7 Professional Desktop in 2013. It did pretty well until recently, Windows got corrupted and I brought it to these guys to check it out. Within a day they explained what the problems were, and basically the only solution was to re-install Windows - I had figured that was the most likely solution, but they verified that. They also discovered one of my drives was corrupted. I bought a new drive and gave it to them so they could back up and rescue my data to prevent loss - it cost a little extra and took a little longer, but it was well worth the price to me. My PC is back up and running, no loss of my data - I really appreciate the time they took to get it fixed and would come to these guys again in the future.Thanks again!

This place is great!Had my iPad for 1 yr and ONE week and the LCD screen breaks and of course Apple cant do anything about it and they told me its out of warranty and it was obviously was one week earlier they would have given me a new one but now theres nothing they can do and its pretty much non-workable. I was so disappointed for this was a gift and it was a 32 GB!I was going to be in Oceanside for a week so I Googled iPad repair and this place came up first. First sent an email asking for an estimate, they were super fast in their reply and was able to see me and drop off the iPad that a.m. By the end of the day it was up and running. The staff was super nice and friendly! Would highly recommend.
Waiting on day 5 to get my computer back even though the problem was diagnosed 2 days ago. and the guy says yea not gonna be able to pick it up today way too busy and your computer is in pieces right now, ill give you a call later and let you know the status 1. they never called to give a status, made the customer call multiple times to find out what was going on. 2. not really sure why they would start working on a computer leave it in pieces for multiple days and not finish the repair, then make the customer feel guilty for calling requesting status. wont be referring this place to any friends.
I took in a laptop that refused to turn on, unfortunately they were unable to fix it so I asked for the files on the computer. I got some files but am left without a majority of important files. Since the price to extract the memory was equal to the cost of the computer being fixed It proved pointless and a waste of money.

My expectations were exceedingly surpassed with the service and technical results that I received from Rian at PC Repair Center. I came in with an external hard drive from which I could no longer access the data it contained. All my files were corrupted and totally disabled when attempting to open them.These were our family memories of over 15 years. Priceless photos and videos that could never be replaced if lost.For a couple of weeks Rian kept me informed via text, email and phone calls about the painstaking process of having to retrieve, repair and successfully reopen every single file on the drive. I had a nice experience w/ my wifes Mac in the Encinitas office, however, exactly the opposite from the Oceanside office. I had brought my laptop in for repairs as it somehow shorted out and fried the motherboard. I paid the money to have another installed and the laptop worked again. They said they didnt see a short anywhere in the unit ( I had claimed it had to do w/ the charge input USB port) so I accepted the malfunction as a fluke and paid the money to have the motherboard replaced. The computer functioned fine until the power chord was merely jiggled ( just like the first time) and the computer shorted. I immediately called and let them know it had functionality but the issue was happening again so it was only a matter of time. They said they would begin the paperwork for the warranty on the new motherboard if I was able to bring it in soon. I explained it was final exam time for me so I needed the computer as long as it could function as all of my study materials were on the machine. I was able to get through most of my finals when the until finally lost functionality. I only got 3.5 weeks on the new motherboard!! When I brought in the unit I was told I was already past the date of warranty for the motherboard. I reminded them that they should have already started the paperwork on the motherboard well w/in the time frame for the warranty to cover. I was told it was too late but leave the machine w/ them and they would see what they could do; i.e. they never started the paperwork. My wife wanted to march in there, take the machine and raise a fit but I stopped her saying that I trusted them just let them have some more time with it. No calls, no status updates...nothing. Why should I, as a customer have to babysit the business for the service they advertise? Should they not be calling me w/ the status of a machine I trusted them to fix? I called many times as to the status of my machine and was told Were working on it. My wife, again, wanted to go to the store and start chopping heads but I stopped her. 10 months later, I still have no resolution w/ the laptop. To top it all off, the unit still does not function......Im stuck w/ the last option I was given, Buy another motherboard or another laptop. The part that really irritates me is that all they did was alleviate the symptom but did not fix the problem and Im left holding the bag. If I were to practice as such in my in my field I would be sued to the ends of the earth, let alone have a string of dead patients. Gee Mr patient, I see you have cancer but here have some morphine; this will make you feel better. Well yes, it would make the patient feel better but all I did was alleviate the symptom instead of getting to the root of the problem......The cancer is still there. To top it off, the guy on the phone wanted to charge me for fixing a gouge on the faceplate that they somehow put there! Surely you can at least fix a gouge in the faceplate in almost a years time. I hate to admit it but I should have listened to my wife.....Update: No, the machine was not fixed. After two motherboards I had to just go ahead and buy another machine.... *shrugs*
Brought in a custom PC for some repair and maintenance, nothing that shouldnt have taken more than a few hours of work time. I was promised a phone call with a report within the first few days, no call, so I called after 5 days and they seemed like they didnt even know why I brought it in, I was promised a phone call the next day for follow up, no call. So I called after 7 days to see how it was going. I received two more calls with in the 10 day and 14 day mark. After about 20 days I had to go in and just pick it up due to me moving. It still wasnt ready and almost nothing was done for what I asked for. I was told I would recieved 10% off for the long delay but after reviewing my bill sent through email there was no discount. I highly dont reccomend this place. A bunch of kids who have no idea what they are doing. They are either too busy or have no knowledge of acutally PC repair! Even if they did, the customer service was awful. I wonder how long my PC would have been there if I left it...a month? Lol
Update: the owner contacted my wife and smoothed everything over. Im glad that he was looking out for us after all. Im leaving my original comments below in case anyone has similar issues. Im changing the review from 1 to 4 stars now that the problem has been addressed.Brought in a working iPad with a cracked screen. We were quoted a few days. Then they had to order the right parts so we were re-quoted 5-7 business days. 3 WEEKS later, my wife leaves the store in tears because, not only did they not fix the screen, but they returned it to her in a bag full of pieces. Obviously we were not charged but their only concessions were to say sorry and tell us that were in the same boat as when we brought it in. A working iPad with a cracked screen is not the same as a bag full of pieces. Take your Apple products elsewhere and let this terrible business fail.

My hard drive in my MacbookPro was failing. I brought it by and they were able to get the new drive and copy all my data, even what I needed from my Windows partition. Theyre very friendly and knowledgable. Ill definitely recommend to others.

Had trouble with a newly built pc that wouldnt turn on and I was at my wits end trying to fix it. Ultimately took it to pc repair center to have it fixed. They looked exhaustively for the cause of the problem and worked hard to find it. Javier was helpful in keeping me updated.Ultimately they were able to diagnose the problem, which was the cpu. Even though it took over a week of work to find the problem, the fee was minimal. They even reassembled my pc completely at no charge when they found the issue. Thanks for the great service.

They managed to save me about 600 dollars when it came to fixing my mother board on an expensive gaming laptop. They can solder very well. BUT when I got my laptop back the lacked attention to detail. After 10 mins on my computer I started to notice since problems. My speakers werent working neither was a fan. I opened the back to find my speakers, bass, cable for my WiFi NIC card and PROCESSOR FAN was all unplugged still. The wire for my speakers was stuck under the motherboard so I had to remove some things that most people couldnt do unless you understood computers. They did manage to fix the main issue, but reassembling they missed a lot of minor stuff.After the fact the owner called me and was 100% willing to fix the situation and offer money back and was very respectful and considerate of the whole situation.

I know Sami the owner and have purchased a refurbished laptop (the one in front of me right now) from PC Repair Center. I have also referred several people to them. They also have a location in Encinitas and I have used both. Sami who mostly runs this location and Javier runs Encinitas are both super smart and competent - but also just really nice genuine people that care.

I hoped to revive an old XP box and turn it into an Ubuntu OS. The entire crew at PC Repair Center handled it in two days and it now operates like a rocket. Their speed and courtesy were delightful and the price was very reasonable.
