Its a local store so you can compromise walking there down by foor or hit the road with your 6 cylinder to a remote but cheaper store.However wanted to be healthy and walked down there by foot to buy some grocery there and simply saying, it was unfresh. I understand that due to high prices they have few clients and their vegetables and fruits become unnacepptably fresh but this is not the way to get more clients. I ended up buying chives, mushrooms and brocoli somewhere elese.That is why I give them 2 stars for the so so quality of the fresh vegetables and fruits.

Excellent deal on beer, 3 tall cans for $4.00 everything else is expensive but convenient!

Very nice place with the local feel right away when you walk inside. Super great market selection with very nice and a clean upkeep.Selection is wide ranging, more than just the essentials. Nice selection of jerky, fresh veggies, beer, soda and juices. Wine selection is bit smaller but not bad selection of the wines that they do have.Overall very much exceeded my expectations of a local market place in terms of quality, customer service, variety, and yes, affordability!Will definitely be my go to place from now on, especially because of how affordable they are! 💰👌I asked myself, How are they making money?? Lol!Anyways, theres no doubt about it, their rating is pretty accurate and should already speak for itself, but check it out if you dont believe me! 😆😋

We just moved here and we’re thrilled to find this market just minutes from the house. It has just about whatever you will need and the food is delicious. Customer Service was excellent and so friendly.

Quick little convenient market. I usually find last minute things I need, when no time for Walmart. Things are a little pricier than other markets but not that bad if you just need something right away. They have a lot of Goya products which I like.

Good people here. Fair prices but know its a couple of cents more for convenience. They have meats we need for Filipino dishes so thats a plus. They have several meat packages and are flexible. This is my go to store!Update review: After a year of living here, the score has not changed. We still love going here and a lot of the times we just ride our bikes. We even fitted them with saddle bags for the heavy hauls! The only gripe I have is I wish they update their produce section with a newer unit that sprays to keep fresh. A lot of the leaves are wilting because they just need some juice. Other than that, see you guys in a year for another update. And 5 Star, well, thats what you guys are and Ill see you guys soon! We need food!

Service has been good the times I have came here, the meats have up their game the carne asada merinade mix taste really good 👍 👌 I have tried the chicken marinade also and you wont be disappointed....give it a try.they also now serve cooked food here too...news to me.

In and out most times no lines

This place has everything a Big Box Market has, its convenient and just a few cents more, less the long lines at Albertsons! If you didnt know this, they cater to the Hispanic population and have lots of mexican items and mexican pre-cooked, hot and ready to go food!

I love this decent priced supermarket for goods. It is conveniently located and has a variety of quality and unique selections. Highly recommend.

The market is pretty good. They had everything we needed to make all things Mexican. Of course the prices are a bit high, but its a small local business. The food they make in house is decent at best, nothing spectacular. Havent tried everything yet, but since I live 1 min from it, probably will eventually have everything they have to offer.Also, they didnt have tamales in the morning and I think their pan was baked the day before.. not to good not too bad.

Everyone in here is really nice and if you dont feel like running down to Wal-Mart or target this little store has everything you need for cheaper (most of the time) than the gas station. Also fresh local fruits and veggies and freshly butchered meat and some prepared dishes are available at the deli. The staff keeps everything nice and clean and theyre knowledgeable about what people might want or need. Theyve gone above and beyond many times to improve my shopping experience and I wont lie, I definitely have stood there on a slow and talked to some of the staff like theyre my therapist, tears happened. This place is a wonderful neighborhood shopping center and I hope plenty of people keep using it so that they can continue to sustain and grow theyre business.

I just recently started going to this store through a friend of mine. I was very impressed by how friendly they are. Theres one man there who helped me my first time there and every time I go there now he remembers me and always says hi and asks how Im doing. Its like going to a small town store.

Meat! Not only is Five Star Market a grocery store but it has one of the best meat selections in North County San Diego. I honestly believe they could charge way more for what they serve, but thats the beauty of locally owned businesses. They always favor quality and reputation over price gouging! Raads the owner and the guy is first class just like his store!

Okay for last-minute shopping dpot

Super friendly and low priced store. They have a nice selection of fresh fruit and vegetables and a fantastic beer selection. Their beer prices are amongst the lowest in Oceanside. They have a small taquiria inside that makes fantastic burritos and tacos. We love grabbing a pound of cooked carne asada and carnitas and taking home some of their tortillas and fixing our burritos at home.They are busy but we always manage to get in and out quick. They have plenty of parking and a well lit and clean parking lot.

I usually like this place because it’s small when I don’t want to go to a big store but last time I got food that was expired by 4 months !!!!!!! This is horrible how can they let that happen I didn’t notice until I went home and cooked it that I then finally noticed how expired it was and I didn’t have time to return it that is sooooooo inconvenient and shouldn’t even be happening

I go here for select meats. They will reserve for you if requested in advance. Filipino and Mexican choice of meat, including pork belly with skins and pork ears. Oxtail and bone for soup cooks really well and very tender compared to the ones I buy at other grocery stores. Not to mention, they have an in-store cantina! Carne asada fries, tacos, plates and burritos ♡ for quick bites. The best part is that they also sell the carnitas by the pound.

Not as cheap as walmart for fresh food, bit definitely a wide selection, and not too pricey. Its enough if you forgot a random ingredient and dont want to shlup all the way back to the store or if you just really cant think about cooking some days and you need a quick hot meal or a quick throw together meal like spaghetti or tacos or a salad. People who work here are kind and keep the store clean. I just moved to oceanside but Ill probably aleays go here from now on. Also, i think their cigs are cheaper than the gas station, so its work crossing the tiny parking lot after you get gas. Also excellent beer/wine/liquor variety! This is a great little store!

Best meat counter in Oceanside, if they dont have it they will order it for you they will cut it any way you like it and they offer meat packages which are hard to find in most places
