HMMM, DO I START WITH THE GOOD, THE BAD OR THE UGLY FIRST?...I had a great visit with my family in North County as its always fun to be in my stomping ground. I filled up my tank and then ran next door into SFM for some snacks and drinks for the 3 hour drive. It seemed as though nobody was working when what seemed like sudden magic, a tall, young and very handsome man just appeared behind the counter to ring up my order. As usual, I succumbed to the impulse items under the glass...four $1 scratchers. I excitedly returned to my husband (newlyweds by 1 day) who was patiently waiting for me in the car. I reached for 2 coins and we got to scratching. We won $12 and decided to keep our original $4 and get more tickets with the remainder of our winnings. I skipped back inside and up to the lonely counter....hmmm, where did he go...and then he appeared again from out of nowhere. I bought my new tickets and began a pattern of winning more each time. On my 3rd or 4th counter return I made small talk apologizing for making him get up for me yet once again...it was then I noticed that this counterman was not a friendly sort... I continued on my scratching dream of big winnings and a good 30 minutes had passed of scratch, win more and return to re-up on new winning tickets. Each time I returned to the counter with my excitement and hope I noticed that this guy really was getting perturbed with me, I was obviously interrupting him watching tic-toc. On our 6th or 7th win I sent my husband in. He returned with the same report that this counter-dudes dog mustve died. From then on my husband went back in to trade in our winnings. He apologized to the guy behind the counter and the guy said you are done, Im shutting down our lottery access right now....OUCH!! We were just having fun. Our lesson for that day was handsome man does not equal nice person! Needless to say, we will never go into that place again!

Ive been going here as my main liquor store for two years now. All the employees are super kind and professional, they all know me well by now and make an effort to make me feel welcome. Craft beer selection is amazing, sadly besides ballast points Sculpin, one of the Stones popular flavors and like one other brands top seller the six packs are shelved not cold. The wine selection is also great. Their liquor is very fairly priced, youre not going to find somewhere cheaper to buy a bottle in this area of Oceanside. They have lots of snack and chaser options, along with everything you could need for making cocktails. They also have tallboys, hard rootbeer, and other fun type of beverages along those lines for very cheap and they almost always have specials going on for them and packs pf domestic beer. Would highly recommend to anyone. 😄
