While the papercraft flower stuff is going out, this is a AMAZING store! The staff is super friendly and packed full of art knowledge!The prices are OK but all art supplies are expensive.

The manager at Blick on Dodge is awesome. So helpful and sweet -- explaining to me the difference between acrylic and tempera without making me feel like a dumby. She is the best and it is so nice to have a mid-town store close to my house with EVERYTHING I could ever need!!!

The entire staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I would have liked to be able to pick up Daniel Smith oil paints on site in Omaha. I will still visit the website and the folks at the Omaha location.

Just left there and the employee was absolutely the rudest anyone has ever been l to me in any establishment.They had an aisle closed and I went to ask if the stuff back there could be grabbed for me or if it was just completely off limits and she was nothing but rude to me over it. I will never be back to this store again.

This is a great store for finding art supplies. The staff is generally always friendly and helpful. My only complaint about the store is its size. It is a smaller store so it doesnt always carry all of the brands I like. If you are looking for a specific brand I recommend calling before you drive down. Prices for professional supplies are also generally reasonable.

So Im not sure if I want to shop here anymore. The cashier I bumped into earlier at the Omaha location treated me like I was a thief. I was in a rush running errands and wanted to check out the drafting tables, easels, and light boxes; and possibly Wacom equipment if available. The cashier made a comment that what the light boxes were expensive and that if it was on the shelf anyone could just grab it and run out of the store. She made it a point to profusely make these types of comments. She crossed her arms and examined me. The whole time, making me feel like a thief. Is this what I am to expect from Blicks Art Store? I moved here from Las Vegas, NV and never this discriminated against. Is this due to me being a minority? For reference, I am a darker skinned Asian man.

Picked up some Gelly and Micron pens. Cases were too pricey for what they were.

I usually spend a fair amount of money for various art classes in the Omaha store. I also have Crohns Disease which means I often have to use the rest room quickly or risk embarrassing myself with diarrhea. Happen today at Blicks, no public rest room. Instead it was suggested that I go to a nearby restaurant.So be alert all of you fellow intestinal disease sufferers, rest rooms may not be available.

Ive been here 7 times and Ive walked away without a sale 7 times. The employees are incredibly rude. Ive never once gotten friendly service. They hate helping me find things and theyre very cold about it. Apparently theres no way to check whats in stock because all they ever do is walk me though the store impatiently, shrug, then walk away. Im never trying to be difficult; the store is incredibly dense and its difficult to search through. These prices dont justify how frustrating it is to shop here. Youre better off shopping online or going to Michaels with the 20% off coupon that they offer all the time.

This place is not much better than a craft shop. Even though theyre right down the street from a fairly large campus art department they mostly stock items to sell to the public. Blick is the gold standard for art stores. Just about anything you can think of is there and always have friendly helpful staff.

Blick Art is the one place in Omaha where youll find all art material especially for paintings. If you have never heard of this place thats simply because you are not a painter buying in store in Omaha. And the staff is quite knowledgeable and helpful. They even help me save money with a 10% discount that I wasnt aware I could get! Their honesty and material available earns an A+in my book.

Heck yes! I love this place! Its like heaven for artist and designers. I always find stuff that I need for my school projects. It is a friendly place, they always ask to see if they can help you find your art supplies. If you are a preferred customer then you will save a few bucks 😉

This place is the best. I moved to the Omaha area from a large West Coast city with wonderful art supply stores. Since moving here, I have become accustomed to stores that carry the minimum. I have come to rely too much on on-line ordering. Blicks puts paid to the idea you cant get that stuff here.Currently, I am binding several books so the stuff I was shopping for was a little out of the main stream for supplies. No surprise, they had everything I wanted and then some.Got a nice discount because my wife is an educator as well as an additional discount because I signed up for a store sponsored on-line program. I saved a ton and walked out happy.

My wife and I are huge fans of Dick Blick. Shes a full-time artist and regularly purchases products there for their quality and their unique product line that seems focused on helping serious artists and hobbyists. As much as I support brick and mortar retail, Blick often has lower prices online than in their stores so if you have time to wait and can spend at least $50 for free shipping the savings might be worth the wait.

Place is awesome. Friendly staff but not up your butt the whole time. Their asked if I needed help, I said no and they left me to browse. Really nice are supply store. Ill be back for sure.

I just got into painting so this was a nice store to check out. My biggest problem is that there is no parity between website and store. Its 2019 and you cant see what they have in stock or have something ready to pick up in store.I was gifted a Bob Ross kit for Christmas and the website lists a cleaning kit and the individual items. They didnt have either. I did purchase some paint thinner and canvases.

They have a fantastic selection of art supplies and the staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They not only know what they carry but many of them are artists and can give expert advice, at least within certain areas.

The staff is always so friendly and quick to assist you if you need it. Shopping is made easy and fast for that reason.

But work a little on your customer service. You are in contact with someones happiest moment. Be happy for them. We could have easily gone to Hobby Lobby for our art fix.

The only true art supply store in Lincoln or Omaha, NE. I am a semi professional nitpicky artist and these guys are the only ones to carry my favorite colored pencils individually, not in a set. A bit on the expensive side but the quality and variety of specific art supplies is worth it!

Blick Art Materials store is a excellent store to shop, the employees are friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable about art supplys.Just ask them and they will direct you in the right direction on what is and what is not and then they will let you make up your own mind on what to purchase. Some art material is expensive and some is not. Since my child has been in the art world I now see why pictures cost so much to purchase/money.

The best place to go for all visual arts needs! They have just about anything you might need with quality name brands, or their house brand, which I think is just as good as any.

Since this store is a hop, skip, and a jump away from UNO, they always have relevant products for the art classes in session right at the front of the store, just to make things easier for art students to stop in, grab what they need, and head out, should they be in a hurry. Along with that, the cycle of supplies always makes sure that beginner art students will always find what they need.I went in at the beginning of the spring semester with a list of supplies (some I had, others I had no idea what they were), and I had two employees take time out of their schedule to assist me around the store with recommendations and suggestions as to which supplies would be worth to buy top line and which supplies could be Blick Brand (not saying Blick brand isnt top line, but its often a cost-effective option).The only thing I dont care for is that some of the sales arent really sales, theyre an advertisement saying its a sale with an inflated previous price and a somewhat lowered new price. That being said, I still end up buying the item because its a store I love, support, and will always spend money at.
