Went in search of books my child could relate to and found plenty in this beautiful store. I picket up a book and some oil for my self as well. I appreciate this store for what it has to offer the city.

A place where you find so much knowledge as well just ol fashion respect very helpful and always pointing you to right direction of what your looking for .

The store was super clean when I walked in the door! I hated wiping my wet shoes on the clean rug! I went in to buy oil based perfume for belated Christmas presents and the gentleman was patient. They have many many different oil based fragrances from the natural scents to the most popular scents. I never knew that they had a fragrance sale section, but they had one today! I bought the regularly priced and sale priced perfume AND cologne. What really made me smile outside of the friendly service was that I got a free bottle of perfume for buying 5 bottles today! I love FREE!

They usually have the books I need. If they dont, they will order it. Great selection of books, art and conversation of the Black experience. I picked up some great books for homeschooling, coloring books, cloth and activity cards. They have religious, science, homemaking, cooking...keep listing, they will help. The only Black owned bookstore in Omaha. Everyone should buy a book or two to support this communities growth.

Very friendlyfriendly. Customer service was great. It was my first time going in here, although i didnt really get to look around, i was with a friend and she was kinda in a rush. Maybe next time. But i will be back. 👍😀💜

A step into history as soon as you walk inside. I love the support of local authors and current published items. The art work reminds me of my childhood and the fragrances options are great.

This is the best African American Book Store. I came all the way from Tampa Florida to come to this book store. It was well worth it. Please take the time to buy from Black owned. Let us stop talking the talk and walk the walk.

My father would take me here for books with people who looked like me on the covers. I now take my children to this store. Full of history. Full of knowledge. Theres something here for everyone.

I passed thru Omaha in a few short hours, of which two I spent in this unexpected treasure and beloved bookstore. Sadly, Aframerica is only one of roughly 40 African American owned bookstores left in America. I know for certain that I will never drive straight through Omaha ever again. I would make a special trip to Omaha just to visit Aframerican Books. Its a jewel of a store: book selection, gift and craft selection, hand crafted oils, community meeting space. Its very special. And if they dont have what you want, they will get it for you!

This bookstore has been around since the mid 1980s and has managed to survive through the advent of the internet and ebooks. They have a wide variety of books dealing with black history and culture, novels by black authors, childrens books, cultural jewelry and artwork and natural care products. Payem a visit, you wont regret it!

I love this bookstore and every chance I get .. I tell ppl about it...this bookstore should be struggling to keep book on the shelves ..but black people in Omaha dont even know its there or dont care. If you have dope shoe collection before you have a personal library...time is now to change that
