Please dont use this company. The customer service is horrible plus they lie. I was told they dont batch grind their deer meat but low and behold they do. Called to simply discuss the issue and Dave shouted and acted like a child. Very civil guy.... Some friends even said they ordered half a cow and big meats took the best steaks out of it. *BEWARE*

Shot some wild hog in OK and brought it back here for processing. Got some spicy breakfast sausage made. Delicious

Deer hunters be ware!Deer hunters beware! When I first started taking my deer to Dave BIG meats, I was assured that I would receive my deer back and they don’t batch grind multiple deer. (I am a stickler on my deer after seeing how some are field dressed and brought to processing.) They do batch grind deer. In addition to that, when I started eating my ground, it was seasoned as breakfast meat. Deer meat is my families yearly supply of red meat, now I have more than a year’s supply of breakfast meat! I called and talked to Dave one of the owners, and he didn’t care. Didn’t care that it was the wrong meat. I asked for 10 pounds of ground beef to get me thru these next 10 weeks till deer season and he flat said he wouldn’t do that as it was “my problem”. When I told him I was lied to about batch ground, he got extremely defensive and argumentative, almost like he has been caught lying to customers before. He did offer a “discount” on my deer this year, to which I kindly refused after finding out that they batch grind. Bennington will be betting my business from here on out!

Went in last night on 3/4/21 and picked up several different meats. After eating the mild beef stick, beef jerky and grilling the steaks, immediate food poisoning set in. Woke up at 3am vomiting and still doing so at 8am. Would highly not recommend.

I was visiting from out of town. Bought the beef sticks and beef jerky and it was fantastic. I asked for a recommendation on the various sausages and brats and they recommended the Apple and Husker. I tried the Husker as I had never heard of it and I found it very enjoyable. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for good meats and friendly staff.

I was recently in Omaha and found this shop. The staff is great and very helpful. We purchased several smoked items including turkey legs and bacon. I was surprised and delighted by these in house smoked products. They offer impressive value for the price. This company has my highest recommendation.

Few weeks back I purchased 4 pounds of stew meat. Today, I cooked this stew meat in a crock pot for 7 hours. Unfortunately, it is the toughest stew meat I’ve ever purchased anywhere in the metro area. I am not sure what cuts went in to these frozen packages but it had to be garbage pieces that should of been thrown out and not sold. I am very disappointed with my purchase. Please think twice before purchasing their stew meat.

Just got my deer back and could not be more impressed!!! Fantastic service all the way from drop off to pick up. The deer sticks and summer sausage I had made are about the best Ive ever had. USE THIS BUTCHER!

Awesome butcher shop. They do an amazing job on all game meats I bring them, even made my snow geese taste good haha. They even have pig ears and marrow bones for my dogs. Highly recommend them year round.

Normally we’re ribeye fans but we got sirloins because the cost of feeding a large amount of people. The guy said they’re Angus and we’re good.. we’ll, they’re one of the worst sirloins we’ve had. Cooked them perfect, nice medium. They were tough as hell. All of them. If I was at a restaurant I would have sent it back. I’ve had better too sirloins at King Kong’s ! I won’t be back.

Weve gone to BIG Meats for the last 11 years. Mark and Dave the owners treat you like family. Their smokehouse is the best in town and dont get the recognition for it!

The guys are always happy to help, and the meat is the best. Their in-house smoked ham has to be ordered in advance, and is the best Ive found for any price.

Evidently they do not need new customers. I havent done business with them, (I have always made my purchases at Just Good Meats on 84th street) today I took in a gift certificate that had been given to my wife and I, by one of our managers. It was expired, but thought they might at least honor some of it to obtain a new customer. They chose not to honor any of it. While certainly that was within their rights, they missed an opportunity to acquire a new customer that spends a lot of money on meat products. As a business owner, I have learned that being right, does not always mean it is good business. And, no I did not consider checking the store out while I was there.

The store was clean, but didnt have much of a selection. I assumed it was an old fashioned full service butcher shop type place. I did not have that experience. I was looking to get some top round sliced to make jerky out of. I was told they sell it frozen in 5lb bags, and wouldnt have any until the end of the week. That was it. No offer to cut some up, no come back tomorrow. Nothing. It was a Monday by the way.... I dont think Ill be back.

Couldnt even try the place. Terrible sales person named Bruce Hollingsworth wouldnt tell us the price of the package even after being asked multiple times what it is. Will never buy from there because of him.

Extremely disappointed in the fact that we have been loyal customers for over 10 years and when we moved and made some changes to our diet we made the tough decision to stop ordering from them. We knew we would need to complete our 9 month payments and insurance even though all of our meat was gone and when we spoke to them in March we confirmed our last payment would be in May. Then we were still charged the insurance payment and told that would continue for 2 MORE YEARS!! Apparently due to a “48 month price lock” we signed in 2017. Extremely disappointed in this as we enjoyed their meat for over 10 years and continued to refer them to family and friends. No longer will I recommend them to others and I will never order from them again. So disappointed 😔

Always get fantastic meat. My favorite are their flat irons. The peppered bacon is another favorite. Prices are good and the staff is very helpful.

Ive enjoyed everything from their baby back ribs, steaks, brats, polish sausage, and even their lunch meat is great. I like that they sell BBQ spices, sauce and other items. Great job guys, Im a fan.

I would not recommend this place for anything but meat. The meat has not made me sick yet but the 3 year old expired cookies gave me food poisoning.

Meat was good for about a month and then when thawing we saw a lot of it had small tiny holes so most of the meat was thrown away! Waste of money!!!
