If you fell asleep in a snow globe and had a dream or nightmare (depending on how you feel about Christmas as a holiday), it would look like this store. Not as extensive as, say, the Imaginarium a few blocks over, but still pretty stuffed. I didnt look at every shelf but I didnt see any black Santas though.

I LOVE THIS SHOP!! I could spend lots of money in here. Two reasons: 1) Everything I like is expensive. 2) I like practically everything in the store! I enjoy decorating for the holidays. I am from out of town and only make it to the Old Market in the Fall. Therefore the only holidays I ever see being sold are Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. I cant tell you if they sell anything else. I have never seen so many ornaments being sold in one place. My mind wants to buy several but my budget says no. Some are inexpensive and some are pricey. They have a huge variety to choose from. For a smaller shop, they have tons of items. I highly recommend this store. Its just across the street from The Embassy Hotel.

Christmas stores are always neat to walk through. Especially when its not the Christmas season. Dont ask me why. Thats just how it is. Tannenbaum has been in the Old Market at this location for as long as I can remember.They have a decent selection, but theyre a little too specialized in blown glass ornaments. Those are fine for ball ornaments, but for everything else they all have a very similar look and feel to them and sometimes youre not wanting that.

If you love Christmas, youll love this shop!

Tannenbaum Christmas Shop is much more than a Christmas Shop. They have a wonderful collection of just about every type of ornament that could decorate a home.They have a great selection of themes as well, so walking through the shop will promise any good find for anybody walking through looking for that special something.It is also very spacious, so there is plenty to see for the shopper. We will return to see what they have next!

Updated after response from owner - 10/15/2020:Owner is claiming that I misinterpreted that none of the workers were wearing masks and that the 80+ year old woman didnt awkwardly start talking about how the government is controlling us after a comment about how my wife looked beautiful despite the mask. Updated review to two stars because that is such a bizarre response.Original review - 10/13/2020:My wife and I usually come here every year. However, we had the strangest interaction today with one of the older women making odd comments about government control because of mask wearing.None of the workers here wore masks, for those who care about that. Its a shame, this place has been a staple of Omaha for a long time, but we probably wont be back.

Always love how friendly and cozy this store is! We make it a tradition every year to get at least one ornament from here.

I have very fond memories of this place. When I was a little girl my grandma owned the store so every time we went to visit we always went here and the candy shop next door💕 love that the place still pretty much looks the same and can’t wait to take my kids here one day

LOVE this place! If you are looking for the perfect personalized ornament for someone special this is your place to stop!! Hundreds or ornaments line the walls as well as many other wonderful Christmas decorations! And honestly, who doesnt love Christmas year round?!

Walked around the store looking for Nebraska ornaments as we collect from each state we visit. What a vast selection of every ornament that you can think of. Couldnt find anyone around the store to ask for help because its like looking for a needle in a haystack.I guess it was our day to miss the helpful cheerful hello and customer service the responses here mention because we found probably the only person, a heavy set woman working sitting on a stool behind the register.It looked like it pained her to crack a smile, say hello and lift her arm to point at about 3 boring Nebraska ornaments. Maybe no one wants to admit they visited the state.The store is wonderful. The service is not.

The owners are so helpful & give great customer service. Cute little shop has Christmas and things for other holidays. Great place to find gifts for others or even a gift for yourself!

So much stuff! Though it is primarily Christmas themed, there are other holiday items as well (such as Halloween) and non-holiday collectibles (like cookie jars, etc). The people who run it are very friendly and there are a lot of great gift items. The aisles can be a bit narrow in places, so watch your coats or purses so you dont knock stuff over.

Wonderful mom and pop store with a very wide variety of choices on Christmas decorations and themed presents (I.e., socks, keychains, etc.) Definitely worth a stop if your visiting old town or downtown Omaha.

I rate this a 3 because the stuff in the store was great. Amazing ornaments, magnets, and a lot of cute other things! But the costumer service was TERRIBLE! Really rude and not helpful!

Oh Dear...I am a bit of a Christmas fanatic. When I saw this store in the Old Market area I flipped. Really ask my husband and daughter. They wed so friendly..and every season was available..including year round Christmas stuff.. Ummm please and thank you. Loved it!!!

This is a very unique shop. We hit it every time we go to the Old Market. The ladies who run the place are super helpful and friendly.

The obese blonde woman who works here is very rude when I came to purchase an ornament she gave me dirty looks and she didnt seem comfortable with the fact that I was inside the store, as the same woman has followed me around the store watching me on previous visits. I guess the negative reviews on Facebook are true.

Every ornament imaginable. Interesting place.

Went to the store for the first time. No one greeted or offered any help. 2 women were working there. As we left 1 was very rude. Because we didnt see the sign on the Howard street entrance of no strollers. We also were the only customers in the store. And we hurt no merchandise with our stroller. It could of been handled so differentlyWill not return!!!

Awesome shop with many different types of Christmas related articles. Friendly staff, lots to discover, highly recommended.

The ornaments and gifts are not of high quality. The owners are unhappy and miserable. We visited the store just days before Christmas, and let’s just say the owners did not have the Christmas spirit. Very disappointed overall.
