We were in town from Indiana for our daughter’s wedding on Saturday. I brought my mothers antique Victorian diamond sunburst brooch for our daughter to wear - but I forgot to bring a chain. Jackie waited on us. We brought in a necklace that was the desired length but we could not remove a small pendant. We intended to buy a simple chain. But between Jackie and my husband (who was a silversmith in our graduate school days), they were able to modify the chain and thus we did not need to buy a new one. Jackie was kind enough to help us have the brooch securely installed with her in house jeweler. She did not make a sale. But she secured our loyalty to the store. We highly recommend the excellent customer service that is so rare these days. Kudos to Jackie!! God bless you!

So let me start by saying what an incredible asset Henry Valdés is to the company. Probably one of the most pleasant and helpful people that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with in my years of purchasing watches. He was knowledgeable and truly passionate about the subject, which is infectious when dealing with an equally as passionate customer. He was happy to talk through any matter of options and configurations and was able to add me to the waiting list for a Zenith Chronomaster Sport - a piece in high demand. He kept me updated during the process and was never frustrated by my emails checking on the progress out of sheer excitement. The piece landed last week and it is as magnificent as promised - I could not be happier! My fiance and I are getting married this upcoming weekend and bought both of our wedding bands at Borsheims. We were the easiest sale EVER (the interaction took less than 10 minutes, as we knew exactly what we were looking for, no financing). Donna was our sales rep and seemed kind during the interaction. Because the store did not have the size we needed for his band, it was ordered and we were told it would be in within 3 days. Fast forward 7 days later, we drove 3 hours to the store, excited to pick up the ring. There was no ring to be found. Donna was unable to be reached regarding where the ring was. After waiting an hour for no ring and no answers, the manager told us they would get ahold of Donna and get back to us the next day. A few days later, no communication. I called the manager again, who told us they would mail the ring directly to us once it came in. Fast forward nearly 4 weeks, we are STILL ring-less and extremely disappointed. I would not recommend Borsheims and will never be patronizing this shop again.
I couldnt be more disappointed. I doesnt matter how much money you spend. I try this place out every 8 years and regret every one. The staff was rude, didnt listen and argued when I pointed out an improperly done repair. Id advise to Find a quality, true smith, for work and repairs. And find a jeweller with better people to purchase from.
Wedding ring shopping at Borsheims was such a great experience. Good pricing and me and my fiancée got our rings within a week once ordered. Other ring shops were quite pushy with sales and we did not experience that here. I’m not into jewelry and wasn’t sure what I wanted but nobody made me feel rushed or judged, which I experienced at the ring shops in the Westroads mall. Such a great experience!
I mean...come on. You can buy a wedding gift or a piece of jewelry...all prices. Four years commuting in from PHX to work in Omaha only during the week. Borsheims was a weekly browse fest...one night a week. Plus you get a discount if you own one share of Berkshire Hathaway stock A/B.
I went in dressed like a normal teenager with my father. I got a diamond for graduation that was a family heirloom and was looking to get it set in a ring. We waited 20 minutes before anyone even came to offer us help. A tall older man ended up helping us look at rings and he told me that he would order me a ring and make me an account their. I was very excited he said 4-6 weeks for the ring to ship in. After 5 weeks I called to see if the ring had showed up or if it was going to arrive soon and they did not have my name in the system, he never made me an account there or ordered the ring. They WASTED my time. Five weeks of it. When I found out I was not even in their system I realized he never ordered the ring it has now been over 8 weeks and they never called me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!!! I went to Riddlers Jewelry and they helped me find a better ring and they were so much kinder and someone was assisting me the minute I walked in. They even let me look at the other jewelry stores in the mall and do not pressure me to buy anything but I ended up going back because they had the ring I liked the most. I highly recommend going to RIDDLERS JEWELRY if you want to be treated with the respect you deserve and to be taken seriously. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT BORSHIEMS.
I went in to Borsheims this past Saturday. I have never been in the store, but thought this would be a great place to ask about a trade in for some rings that I had assuming that they have great integrity. I have three rings which 2 of the rings are very nice wedding rings that were my grandmothers. I was not dressed up and wore a t-shirt and shorts into the store. We were introduced to an older gentleman which helped us and we told him what we were looking for. He came back 20 or so minutes later after getting information regarding a trade-in. He gave us the prices and also indicated that his diamond people were not there and thought they would have given us a greater trade-in value. He indicated that one of the diamonds was a very nice diamond (nice compliment).I then asked him what he thought the rings were worth. I asked the question, just like I would ask a car dealership how much my used car would be worth. He said to me rudely ...so you are looking for a free appraisal. I was stunned with his statement and said that I thought I would just ask his opinion and he said again you are looking for a free appraisal, that is what you are asking for He then stated that appraisals were $100 each.I have worked in customer service for over 40 years and would never treat a potential customer this way. I have learned that you never judge a book by the cover and treat every person the same. There were many ways for him to approach my question with courtsey and accusing me of trying to get something free is not one of those ways.I am disappointed that Borsheims would have a sales person that would think they could treat a potential customer so rudely.
I have had several appraisals and work on my rings done here with great experiences. Annalise (sorry if I got the spelling wrong) is great in the customer service dept! She took my rings up to the jewelers two times to make sure everything would be as planned.But...that promise date!? Dont have a promise date if you cant deliver. The price? Well it was 3 times as much when my husband picked them up! I did get a call saying it would be more, not that much more.Not to mention I was told I would receive pictures (so I liked the look of my wedding ring). When I called and asked (past my promise date) I was sent pictures of the rings I dropped off. I know WHAT I dropped off! Obviously nothing had been done to them since they were as they were when I dropped them off. Promise date was 5/18/21. Pickup date was 5/22/21.I had to purchase a fake ring for our trip/renewal. I would have just kept what I had rather than donning a ring that had no meaning to me.I even gave wiggle room for time. No apologies were ever givin. It was like I was a bother.I had NO idea what I was getting. Literally NO idea what my dream renewed upgraded ring looked like! My husband picked it up because I was so unhappy with Borshimes that I wanted nothing to do with them. They are not what they used to be.He was also told upon pickup that the ring needed a new solitaire due to the inclusion (this had been appraised by Borshimes years ago and is not an issue. It is part of the diamond that I love). His response...if his wife wanted one she (me) would have got one.Thankfully the workmanship was....okay. I could see the gaps and the sizing wasnt perfect.I had it looked at by another reputable jeweler who agreed that the soldering wasnt the best.My business will definitely go elsewhere. I wonder what happened to this business and their customer service!?So give yourself a week over the promise date if you want YOUR ring and be prepared for them to try to get you to buy a new diamond.Please, please, dont tell me to contact customer service with some generic response. The damage is done and your reputation is seemingly following per other reviews.
My wife and I purchase almost all of our jewelry here. Particular shoutout to G in the Watch Department. I’ve looked at watches every time I’ve been in the store over the last three years - despite having not purchased a watch from him, he always treats me like an old friend and is happy to chat with me about watches and answer any questions I’ve had. Happily, I bought my first watch from G and hopefully there will be many more to come. I can’t say enough positive things about Borsheims as a whole, but my experience with G is always next level. If you’re looking for a watch, talk to him or any of them really - they’ve always been generous, knowledge, and helpful.
My wife and I decided to stop in and take a look at some watches. We were greeted immediately by G. At first, I thought he shared his nickname with us. Lol. We started looking at IWC, and then worked our way to Breitling. I have always wanted a Breitling for the longest time. I asked G., if I could please take a peak at a SuperOcean and a Navitimer. Both watches looked elegant, and my style. But, I then asked G. if I could look at the Super Avenger. It was a watch that drew me in. I tried it on, and I knew right then and there it was the watch we are purchasing. G. Gigitashvili, was very patient, and made the purchase smooth. I am so very happy with our purchase!! We will be back to purchase a watch for my wife. I now know he was not telling us his nickname, as his business card says, “G.”, for his first name. Lol. Anytime you want to come drive a Porsche, Maserati, or Alfa Romeo, let me know G., I will hook you up!Thank you again! Customers for life!
They did excellent custom work for us on a ring. We’ve been shopping here for 25 years. If you want the best service in town go to Borsheims
Went in to purchase a setting for our engagement ring and was directed to Barb. We notified her we bought our diamond from a diamond broker and all she could do was bad mouth the fact we did that. She tried to scare us by telling us how their diamonds are better and what not. We never asked her for her opinion and just wanted to look at settings. We ended up using a different sales lady and she made the entire process better.
Nice items but quality control is questionable as so much of their product is produced by third party vendors. Also, customer service does not speak to quality control who does not speak to sales, etc. The company is really just an online platform for third party manufacturers similar to the Amazon model. Not a rip off but nothing special in terms of deals or quality.
I wanted to order an item online and had questions. It was obvious the people handling the emailed responses were not knowledgable. I was given wrong information about the item and inventory levels. Nothing added up. I eventually called and was given different information. The person who answered the phone created a better experience, but they quoted a higher price than the one listed on the website. I had to point that out. I expected better from a small company.Edit: I emailed the customer service team that I’d like to be placed in touch with management, and days later no response. So the team responded (inaccurately) to my product questions, but there’s radio silence when I conveyed my desire to speak to management. I lowered my rating.
Ann Lothrop can do it all. For several years Ann has been our familys full service gift expert (wedding, baby, work, graduation...)2020 certainly presented challenges. Travelled home to Omaha to visit for the Labor Day Holiday; stopped by Borsheims to shop for a keepsake after losing our little Scottish Terrier. I bought an expensive designer bracelet and charm on Friday, it broke on Saturday and stopped by Borsheims on Tuesday on our way out of town. The customer service people and the sales floor staff past me around, kept me waiting and worse - they were rude and uncaring - especially Cheri from Sales. The only option was to return the bracelet and leave empty handed. Borshems wouldnt look for a replacement; wanted me to wait or go to lunch while they fixed the bracelet. Treated me terribly. My husband and I have always gotten our fine jewelry from them - NOT anyone. Terrible experience. And terrible service and poor quality.
I spent a wonderful afternoon with Kate Lagos! It was one of my top 10 days! Because of my sales rep Lori’s attention to her customers, she recalled that I collect Lagos and personally invited me to attend. The event was amazing...hats off to EVERYONE who made this happen. This is why I have been a loyal Borsheims customer since 1986!
What a special moment in time. My son came to town from Colorado. He said he was ready to ask for his girlfriends hand in marriage. He asked me to join him as well as his sister to find that special ring of promise. We went to Borsheims because of the history of quality. The staff were attentive and assisted with various options. I really enjoy shopping (or just browsing!) at Borsheims. The watch section is terrific - you can look at all types and price ranges. None of them are cheap (you ARE at Borsheims), but the quality is never second rate. The rings are varied, some traditional, some unique. Prices are just as varied. The decorator and holiday pieces are fun and can be very special - just hunt!
We have been looking forward to visiting Borsheims for weeks to purchase our wedding bands after purchasing my engagement ring here. We werent helped or acknowledged for 15-20 minutes, even after asking if anyone can help us. The man who eventually helped us did not introduce himself, acted extremely rushed, did not ask what we were looking for, or engage in any kind of conversation. We felt as though we were an extreme inconvenience to this mans time and the store. Buying wedding bands is an exciting step in the wedding process, and we left feeling extremely disappointed in our experience.
It’s always a treat coming into the store! I love the variety of items they offer and the layout of the store. Cheri L has helped us over the last several years and she makes me feel like family. I won’t purchase fine jewelry anywhere else in the area. They are very competitive in pricing and they offer quality pieces.
Borsheims is the best!! I had some back to back issues with my wedding ring and between Sue Wurth and Erin in Customer Service I knew I was taken care of. Erin made sure to personally call me back with any update she had and Sue made sure the vendor knew what my needs and requests were when it came to repairing my ring. Excellent team work on their part and great customer service. As usual, Borsheims blew me away. Thank you for all you do!

Reasonable prices considering the global clientele they attract. Helpful staff treats everyone like a millionaire with a full realm of services. Considering their overhead, I think theyre very competitive with products, staffing, services and pricing over all other Jewelers in the region. I have consistently shopped here for over 20 years, never a disappointment.
Horrible customer service. I went to pick up a ring I ordered and all the sales people completely ignored me. I walked up to THREE different people and they all turned around and literally walked away from me. It took me over 15 minutes before I found an employee who would actually acknowledge me. I wanted to return the ring right then and there. The employees are extremely rude and pretentious. Maybe don’t ignore your paying customers?
What can i say. This is the best jewelry store in Omaha. From the selection to the staff, it doesnt get better. I purchase my watches from Borsheims and regardless of what I am looking at, I receive amazing service. G and Leslie are amazing and deserve kudos for the work they do. Look for them next time you are in Borsheims.
I love the home decor Borsheims has. It’s where I go to select the very special things. My new favorite is the grapefruit Nest candles. One of the sales people told me about them. Once the candle burns, the holder turns into a great “double rocks glass”! Used them at a dinner party and everyone loved them! Thank you Borsheims for always having the perfect thing!
Poor costumer service, we were also offended that there was a sticker on the front door saying no guns allowed. My husband served in the military to make sure people had the right to enjoy such freedoms as the right to bear arms. We found it very hypocritical that others cannot carry inside the store but their security can. We will not be coming back.
Its always special if its from Borsheims. Aaron has been helping my husband find the perfect piece of jewelry for me, for nearly 20 years now. Sending pictures, texts, emails, etc., he always makes sure that the item being purchased is wonderful. Great selection, knowledgeable staff, but PLEASE send home your employees if theyre sick. Its not fair for the general public to have to endure. There are people with cancer, AIDS and other immunity issues who shouldnt be around illness.

3 strikes, you’re out! I am so over this store and their pretentious sales staff. I was a loyal customer for YEARS. I bought my first piece of Borshiem’s jewelry 12 years ago. I bought a diamond band, two rings, two diamond necklaces, and gifts over those years. This past dealing was the last straw. I went in to have a band, platinum and diamond channel set band they sold me in 2007, tightened so I wouldn’t lose diamonds. This band has been well kept and in for regular diamond checks and cleanings. I was told that the jeweler couldn’t fix it, due to wear. So I was prepared to buy a new setting for my current diamonds. I was told that would be too much work, and I was better off buying a new ring. They had the audacity to tell me there was nothing I could do with my current band, it wasn’t worth much after you factor in cost of labor; I am sorry it is platinum and diamonds, not sterling and zirconium you incompetent people. They sent me options to buy a brand new band, the same one I have, for more that I paid for the original. You have lost a customer. My advice for future and current customers: Please go get a second opinion on your jewelry. I am sad to say this store thinks they are too special that they don’t care about their customers.Borsheim’s staff: Get over yourselves. Seriously, it is borderline embarrassing how you traipse around like you are the absolute best while it is clear you are not. Very apparent you don’t care, even for a repeat customer. I was able to take my ring, same one you said was worthless, to another jeweler in town who was able to fix it. It is beautiful, and was amazingly affordable. And now they have my business.

Holy moly- Borsheims must be the largest jewelry store I have ever seen. I can only imagine the value of all the jewelry in there. The staff is wonderful and very patient. Because of their massive sales volume, Borsheims is able to negotiate a discount from the list price. The price you see on the tag is always higher than the price you pay. The Borsheims price alone is reason enough to shop in the store.
I was very unimpressed by Borsheims. Im not a needy customer by any means, but yet I still felt as though the saleswoman I worked with, Josephine, paid very little attention to what I was saying were my priorities. She also left me for twenty minutes to go assist another customer, which I could normally live with, but she expressed no apologies for it when she returned. I cannot speak to their quality or prices, as I left before we really got into that (I will say that if a place continually offers you free refreshments, the odds that youre not overpaying are slim) I had a much better experience at 14 Karat.

I bought my first Tissot here, as a young person walking in you would think that most people wouldnt give you the attention that you desire or deserve. However, the person that helped me in the watch department was absolutely awesome, she took all the time we needed and made me feel like I was the only customer that mattered. That was cool! Since then Ive continued to purchase from them in store and online. I went in once and I was hooked!
Sales people are wonderful, prices are good, and they have an amazing selection. The issue I have is unfortunately they do not seem to stand by their work. I bought a 3.5 carat diamond engagement ring and less than two years later the diamond is loose in it. I figured a quick trip into Borsheims and they would fix it up and correct the issues with the setting. Nope, 40$ charge and over a week to get it turned around. I understand that the turn around time might take a week but not fixing it without charge when there is no other damage to the ring and it is clear it was not mishandled leaves me very disappointed. Consider the other Midwest retailers if you are shopping for rings as dealing with Borsheims customer service is the opposite of the experience you will have at the front of the store.

Wow, the place is phenomenal. The people are a different story. Heard Warren Buffet had something to do with the store. All I know is that I was given the evil eye, like I couldnt afford to be there. Bad mistake. Because I came on a bike and had on a T-shirt, didnt mean I couldnt afford to shop there. My trike was $45K, its paid for, and I could afford to shop there. They lost a customer. Wont be back.

Im not much of a shopper, especially when it comes to buying for someone else. However, I do enjoy going to the gift department at Borsheims because I always find multiple gifts for friends and family. I never question my purchases from the gift shop because they always love them!
Phenomenal service! I ordered a handful of items from this store on Monday & it just arrived in boxes with each item gift wrapped and labeled. I did not pay to expedite the shipping, it just arrived 3 days after placing my order. I am I am blown away with the customer service & thought that went into my order! Someone from the store emailed me within an hour of placing my order asking how I would like everything boxed & they also offered to gift wrap the items & they did exactly that! Will definitely be using them again!!
I am getting ready to purchase my 4th piece of jewelry from Borsheims. I had went to Helzbergs and they said; Were also a Berkshire Hathaway company you just dont have to pay the designer prices but we offer the same quality. I am sure they do, but I will tell you, the jewelry you get from Borsheims you will see the craftsmanship that goes into these pieces is like no other...............#1 Will only shop at Borsheims! Rather pay more to be satisfied!

My first experience walking into Borsheims was not one that would have gotten a glowing review; however, after getting Lisa Jackson as a sales rep I knew this was the place, with the right person to find the right engagement ring.I felt like talking with her for 30 minutes did more to understand diamonds than spending hours online doing research. If you want to find someone who will listen to your goals (budget, quality, etc) and work to find the right stone, I highly recommend Lisa Jackson.

I bought my Longines about 3 years ago, it was working perfectly fine but then it ran out of reserve by morning it stops. Basically, I came to Borsheims asking if they could fix it because I actually don’t wear it often so I wanted to see if they could resolve the problem. I talked to a manager there, a lady, who told me she would take my watch to the manufacturer to be looked at and fixed and then would tell me the price. But instead, the fixed it, without my consent on the price, sent the watch back two months later and told me to pay the fee. There was a miscommunication and I’m frustrated I wasn’t notified of the fee prior to having the manufacturer fix it. Even the manager told me that it should be covered and it was weird it was messing up considering I don’t wear it often. I’m writing this review because people should be aware of the lack of transparency that Borsheims showcases to its’ customers.

Bought a very expensive Men’s Raymond Weil watch from Borsheims in 2016. Watch stopped working in 2019 due to a bad internal mechanism, nine months after the warranty ended. Borsheims just said, “sorry”

Store is quite impressive. The service on watch repair, etc. sucks. They have a 3 week delay on polishing watches and wont return your call if you ge their in-house watch repair depts voicemail. I wouldnt recommend buying a watch from Borsheims if service after the sale is important.
I had I watch that I needed appraised theyre very professional courteous and I would recommend anybody that needs something done like appraisal anything like that and what makes me more like a like them they were still courteous to me even though I have looked terrible was dirty because I had just gotten off work and they didnt make me feel uncomfortable at all
