Dr. Yanchun Xu is a wonderful practitioner of acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine at Evidence Based Oriental Medicine(EBOM) clinic. My menstrual period was temporarily stop because of stress. I came to Dr.Xu for help. After checking on my tongue, Dr.Xu suggested acupuncture and some Chinese herbal medicine. I don’t really like needles but I decided to give it a try.The day after I visited Dr.Xu’s office, my period is back! I couldnt believe it when this happened! How amazing!I feel so lucky that we have Dr. Xu in the Midwest. If you are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced acupuncturist, you should definitely go to EBOM clinic and see Dr.Xu!

I have been in treatment with Ayako Sagayama since July 2021. Over the course of just a few months Ayako’s acupuncture treatments have helped me lower my thyroid medication, as well as manage fatigue that comes with Haschimotos disease. Recently I was diagnosed with breast cancer, and am currently going through chemotherapy. Accupunture has helped manage the many side effects of chemo therapy. Ayako shows great compassion and concern each time I visit. Her knowledge of oriental medicine is exceptional. I fully trust her approach. Each time I leave EBOM I feel more whole and complete. I do not know what I would do without EBOM Omaha. Ayako and the rest of the EBOM team always go above and beyond to assure everyone feels welcome and that their voices and concerns are heard. It truly is a healing place.

I cant say enough good things about EBOM Clinic of Omaha. I started going here after I had Covid-19 and was having issues with my hip and IT band area and just generally not feeling well. I had Ayako Sagayam as my acupuncturist. This was my first time Id ever had acupuncture. She really did a wonderful job explaining how it would work and what to expect. I had pretty immediate response so I kept going for my initial issues and for some other issues. She has eliminated the majority of my pain that I was experiencing. Ayako is a wonderful person as well. She is very easy to talk with. She sets your mind at ease. Shes always friendly and pleasant to be around. She is the type of person you dont mind letting down your walls and can just talk and say what you need. Shes extremely good at knowing what you need even when you cant quite tell her whats wrong. I would recommend her highly. I think the entire staff are very kind and caring. I would 100% recommend them to anyone. Matter of fact I did!

Dr. Xu is absolutely amazing. Not only is she incredibly kind and personable, but she is truly a healer of the body and soul. Dr. Xu has been an integral part of our family planning and has helped by regulating hormones, reducing stress, supporting pregnancies, and even helping regulate milk production postpartum. I would highly highly recommend Dr. Xu to anyone and everyone- especially those struggling with fertility. She really is the best!

I’ve been seeing Melody to treat my insomnia and sleep anxiety and all I have to say is WOW!! She has done wonders for me since the 2nd visit. I no longer have anxiety in the middle of the night and went from being up all night to only waking up once and falling right back to sleep. Since seeing Melody my digestive issues are also WAY better. She is so kind and compassionate and really takes time to listen to you. So thankful for this clinic and Melody.

I dont write many reviews but felt I needed to in this case. I saw Dr Melody Shi for some recurring pain and itching in my fingers and hands. This pain was significant enough to keep me up at night and cause me to fidget all day. My wife suggest I go get some help. Everyone at this office has been great to deal with.The best part is after my initial treatment my issue has gone from 80% of the time to less than 5% of the time and has continued to get better each time. I can finally enjoy the simple things like eating out without having to constantly shake my hands during a dinner out. I cant thank Dr Melody enough. Im a beliver in her methods. Do yourself a favor and seek her out for any issues you may be having.

I used to see Dr. Hu (he is now in the Lincoln office), and I now see Dr. Ayako Sagayama in the Omaha office. Both Doctors are extremely excellent. I know from past experience that a headache will disappear in a few moments with acupuncture. I am now focusing on overall health, higher energy, and weight management. Each week I am seeing my energy level increase, which is my main focus as I have MS, and low energy level is one of my main health issues. I have used acupuncture over the years for several different concerns: low back pain, no energy from MS, migraines, etc., and strongly recommend acupuncture for many health concerns. These doctors listen, care, and act on many years of training. I have been seeing Ayako for about 8 weeks now, and see a big difference in energy. Highly recommend!

I cannot rave about EBOM Clinic at Omaha or Ayako Sagayama enough! The front staff is always very friendly and welcoming, and Ayako always makes me feel heard and understood. She takes the time each appointment to hear about my progress and condition and creates an individualized treatment plan that works for me. I had, yes HAD lower back and knee pain until I saw Dr. Ayako Sagayama. I had a very bad fall on some ice, hurting my back and knees. In just a few sessions Dr. Sagayama had me on the right track. I am now pain free. Its amazing getting up in the morning or walking up or down stairs without feeling pain. Thank you so much Dr. Ayako.

I started acupuncture with Dr. Xu to relieve my stress and anxiety and help me sleep better. Before, I couldn’t sleep all night. Dr. Xu is very professional, caring, and thorough. I saw Dr. Xu to help prepare my body for pregnancy, to help balance my hormones, increase my energy, and overall improve my health. When I was ready to begin trying to conceive I returned to continue to ensure my hormones were properly balanced. I conceived within my first cycle trying with Dr. Xus assistance, despite having PCOS, hypothyroidism, type 1 diabetes, amongst other health issues. Dr. Xu swiftly recognized that I needed herbal support to assist with my thyroid and progesterone. I have followed with Dr. Xu for my first trimester, given that I have a complex medical history and need all the support my body can get. Dr. Xu is very professional. She has been cautious and wearing a mask since the beginning of covid, which is a huge comfort to me. She also asks for my feedback about needle placement, and I am never in any pain when she places the needles. She is such an expert and I am so grateful to have her here in Omaha! Dr. Xu is absolutely amazing. She has helped me so much with my hormones, adrenal fatigue and more. My mom started to see Dr. Xu for her afib. Dr. Xus custom made tea has lowered her heart rate, decreased her shortness of breath and my moms rcardiologist is amazed. The custom teas Dr Xu made for me have completely removed some of my symptoms and put my body mind and spirit in alignment. She also changes the teas depending on my needs. EBOM is immaculately clean and her staff is friendly and efficient. I dont know what we would have done without Dr. Xu especially during the pandemic. Dr. MelodyMy experiences at this clinic have always been wonderful! Recently Melody has been giving my treatment, and I could not be more pleased. As a doctor myself, I was a bit skeptical, as she is so young, however she grew up with both parents as physicians in of the art and wisdom of Chinese Medicine. Even with her innate and experiential knowledge, she naturally connects and communicates with ease, why and what she is doing. I have had nerve pain in my leg ever since my knee surgery (5 years). After only 3 acupuncture visits its gone! I also have pain in both shoulders and I am always repositioning myself at night. Again, after a very short time with Dr. Hu my pain is barely noticeable and my my arm movement is amazing. Dr. Hu talks about improving quality of life. He is a kind man with helpful suggestions. I cant say enough good things. If you have reservations about acupuncture but are dealing with pain, hesitate no longer. Its a win win.

Ive tried various treatments and different acupuncturists in town for my health issues, with minimal improvement. I was very discouraged and exhausted psychologically. I decide to give one last try when I came in Dr. Xu/EBOM office and proceed with acupuncture treatment and herbal therapy. Dr. Xu is knowledgeable and supportive. I have been seeing Dr. Xu regularly for about 6 months now, and I have been ecstatic with the results. Its amazing how your body can respond to acupuncture. EBOM is the authentic place to get acupuncture as each doctor received training for 8 years in China. They are kind and make you very comfortable. I received treatment for my shoulder and back and I havent felt this great in years. My husband received treatment for his hands and back and has had incredible relief. I am 36 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from sciatica pain. The chiropractor just isn’t cutting it. Acupuncture has definitely helped. Going in for my third treatment today! I am very active and was able to play volleyball 2 full hours last week without any pain it was amazing. My name is Tim and I have been living in off-again, on-again pain for 82 years. My pain has been in my shoulder and neck and also with my sciatic nerve. Doctors told me to use hot and cold packs, massage, and physical therapy, which I did, but the pain never fully went away. I had the opportunity to go to China several years ago and met a wonderful acupuncturist there who treated me two times - and the results were astounding! I requested information from him about getting more treatment in the US, and he told me that I needed to use the following criteria when looking for an acupuncturist:(1) They must have graduated from a University in China(2) They must have practiced for a period of time in ChinaAfter coming back home to the Midwest, I quickly found out that there were no acupuncturists in the area that were trained and practiced in China. My only option was to fly over the country if I wanted that kind of treatment. One day, my son-in-law called and said there was a new acupuncture clinic in Omaha called EBOM that had acupuncturists from China who had been trained and practiced there. I was very excited! So I called and made an appointment. That was two months ago and I have been treated by all of the acupuncturists, and they are all very good. My primary acupuncturist has been Dr. Joy Wu. She has worked diligently to renew movement of my Chinese energy, and I feel much better. I have no complaints about this clinic. They do excellent work. Thank you, Tim

I absolutely love EBOM clinic. I have tried a few different chiropractors in the past and massage treatments and none of them seemed to work. All of the practitioners here are great, although my ultimate favorite is Dr. Wu. She is so attentive and personable and tries many different treatments with me in order to figure out which one I like best and when I do like one better than another she will continue with that and switch again, as needed. She does needles, cupping, heat treatment, electronic treatment, acupressure (which feels amazing), and much more. Even though I have been seeing Dr. Wu for a pinched nerve in my neck, whenever I come in with any other ailments such as allergies or acne or aches somewhere else, she is always so willing to work those areas as well as my neck in my treatments. She truly, passionately desires to make each of her patients feel better, holistically, no matter what your initial concern is with your body. I have been buying the 6 treatment package and will continue to do so, I love it so much and gives me a sense of escape from the outside world whenever I go in, it’s so relaxing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND (:

I have had arthritis in both feet for several years now. I have tried specialists, steroid injections, even to the point of scheduling surgery. My last resort was EBOM. Dr. Joy is fantastic. After 4 treatments of acupuncture and natural herbs, the results are amazing. Love the clinic and the staff!

After a miscarriage, my hormones were all over the place. My body was a mess. After thousands of dollars in medical bills, stress, medicines with additional side effects and time consumed (many months), which did not help, I looked into alternative therapy.I stared acupuncture and herbal therapy at EBOM clinic and after 5 months (about 2 sessions per month), my cycles and my immunity started to normalize again.During all this time, the EBOM doctor did not only put a lot of effort, but she also encouraged me, as I was physically and mentally exhausted because of the suffering and misery.Before starting therapy at EBOM, I went to other acupuncture offices in town, but did not help. At EBOM, the doctors are great and knowledgeable and I strongly recommend everyone to try it. Do not waste time and resources at other offices! Just try EBOM. It is really different and it is good!

Im glad I found EBOM. I first went to this clinic to alleviate pain from tendinitis in my wrists. After a month of acupuncture I had more reduction in pain then I did from months of ice, rest, and ibuprofen. I had also tried oral steroids and the acupuncture helped more with zero side-effects. I would definitely recommend EBOM and I will be going back if I ever need help with pain again.

I came down with breast cancer in July of this year. Dr Xu has been instrumental in helping me with chemo fatigue chemo fog and digestion issues. I highly recommend this to lesson the symptoms of cancer. The whole staff is very welcoming.

This clinic was recommended by a friend for bad knees and back pain. One knee was replaced three months ago and the other needed to be replaced. After one treatment my “real” knee was 100% pain free (It’s bone on bone and has arthritis) and the pain around the artificial knee is 50% better. If I would have known this before my surgery, I wouldn’t have had surgery! I highly recommend their services!

I started going to the Omaha clinic to see Dr Xu. She is so kind. She helped me with lymphedema of my arm in relation to breast cancer. I also found relief from acid reflux and rhinitis. They have now opened a clinic in Lincoln, where I live, and I’m seeing Jin (Frank) Sha. He has been just as helpful with the above mentioned ailments and he’s great at explaining what he’s doing and what it all means. He’s very nice as well. I highly recommend these clinics.

Here in Omaha to visit my sister. When I expressed my interest in acupuncture because of my violin performance related muscle problem, she recommended me to Dr Hu from EBOM Clinic, and boy, was it effective! My thumb became much more flexible after one session. Ive always believed in acupuncture and its effectiveness, but I never expected it to be THAT effective! My wife also came for acupuncture and she, too, felt much livelier after that one session---her usually pale face started to glow immediately. Dr. Xu is a very caring professional. She strives to understand your issue and guides you through the healing process. Dr. Xu is one of the most amazing acupuncturists Ive ever encountered. I have been traveling for work & Ive seen multiple people across the US. The entire clinic is incredible. Dr. Hu is an amazing practitioner of acupuncture. I am an emeritus professor of psychology (UNK) and suffer from extremely severe osteoarthritis. My pain level has been greatly reduced while my mobility has significantly increased thanks to acupuncture. At the same time, the treatments (three at the time of writing this review) have helped enormously with other issues: cardiovascular (reduced swelling in the legs and feet), sleep apnea and COPD, and even constipation! Dr. Hu is extremely kind and compassionate, willing to listen and allow for questions, and deeply cares for his patients. I recommend him and the EBOM clinic most enthusiastically and without any reservations whatsoever. We are extremely lucky to have this healing center here in Nebraska!

So glad I have tried acupuncture here! Dr. Xu is so knowledgeable and the whole staff is friendly. Started coming in October 2019 as a last ditch effort for plantar fasciitis relief. I have suffered for MANY years and it was to the point of being unmanageable. These weekly visits have been tremendous help to lessen the pain. While its taking awhile to get over Im hopeful with her treatments. (Also reminding myself that nearly 20 years of problems with plantar fasciitis is not going to go away overnight.) I was experiencing nausea after eating and had every test imaginable, but we couldnt find anything wrong. I was miserable. This had been going on for two months. My friend suggested EBOM as it had helped her avoid surgery for her back pain. Yes, I was skeptical, but also desperate. I am happy to report that because of EBOM I no longer suffer! It was the only thing that helped! My doctor is very knowledgeable and caring I am trust her completely. I started seeing Dr. Yueshan Hu a couple months ago for insomnia. He cautioned me that with my past health issues, it could take 5-6 weeks for me to start seeing improvement. That prediction was right on, but I received other benefits that came more quickly. I had been shy about asking for help with other concerns that I deal with, including sinus issues, anxiety, and hot flashes, but as I became more concerned about them during treatment, hed work them into the treatment. I had immediate results for all three. I went to EBOM for my first acupuncture experience and appreciated them walking me through what to expect. The doctor asked questions to understand what I was hoping to achieve before starting my acupuncture. I have bad neck and shoulder pain, which I felt relief from when leaving the office that day. I booked follow up appointments and look forward to all the benefits of acupuncture and cupping.

I have suffered lower back pain and piriformis syndrome for years Have gone to medical doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists, pain management clinics and medicines. When it flairs up, nothing really seems to help so thought I would give them a try. After three visits things and settled down and feel so much better! Recently I fractured my elbow and have now had two treatments for that. They are great! Highly recommend giving them a try!!!

I have suffered with migraines for 40+ years. In the past I have been treated by my pcp and neurologist with pharmacological symptom management. Dr. Hu has provided acupuncture and massage for my migraines and has been able to keep them away. I would recommend him and his clinic 10xs over. He and his staff are so friendly and provide great customer service.

I have been suffering from sciatic pain in my lower lumbar region going down my right leg. I have been using chiropractic and recently lumbar epidurals with steroids which have not worked. They were talking about back surgery which scared me. I have been to EBOM Clinic now for 2 times and cant believe how caring Dr. Xu is. She listens to you and asks lots of questions about your pain and overall health. She is very sensitive to your needs and walks you through what she is doing. I came to see Dr. Xu after a failed pregnancy transfer. I have heard about acupuncture but I never really knew exactly how it worked or how it would help. She explained to me in great detail and showed me scientific proof of how it helps fertility. She worked around my pregnancy calendar and medication calendar and also coordinated my labs with what treatment I needed with her. She was always so gentle and kind and asked me every step of the way if I was feeling okay. I have never been treated so well by a doctor. She also allowed my three year old to come in with me which was a huge help on times I couldnt find a babysitter. Great experience! Brought my two kids (ages 7 and 9) to see Dr. Hu for asthma management, allergies, and bed wetting. They have seen him for three visits and we are seeing great results! Our child with asthma has not had ANY asthma symptoms since we started coming in for treatments. Our other child has significant allergy issues and I have noticed that he is doing better and better after each session. They were also prescribed Chinese herbs specific to their health conditions. I had so much back pain that I had been referred for my 2nd back surgery in just over a year. I couldnt even hardly get in and out of my car to get to the appointment when I started. It took maybe 3 or 4 times of acupuncture and a little relief started to happen. At maybe 7 or 9 sessions I am back to doing much of my basic activities, with much, much less pain, and way less medicine. I am truly impressed at how it works to decrease the inflammation enough that things arent pinching in my back much anymore. Miss Yanchun Xu has been very professional and polite, so very helpful. My migraine has gotten better the 2 times I have gone for that, and Ill start going for my ear condition that requires tubes, but my body rejects them. She feels the inflammation in my ears will be helped as well, and it has helped once already there. I was very skeptical but the whole experience has been wonderful, and extremely awesome if maintenance with this can keep me functional and away from another surgery! Thank you!

I started seeing Dr. Yueshan Hu for the last few months and Cheyenne for massage therapy. Dr. Hu helped me through acupuncture. I had an odd eczema, whooshing noises in my ears (like tinnitus), and an aggravating heel issue that had all been plaguing me for a while. Western medicine wasn’t working for skin or heel problems and they don’t even attempt much with tinnitus. Dr. Hu gave me some herbal drink as well...tasted very bitter but healed skin! Then there’s Cheyenne who is a terrific massage therapist. She knows where I have pain and works it out. This place is the best!! Thank you to all staff at EBOM! 😍

So glad I found this office and the doctors. Yueshan Hu is currently my doctor and his knowledge is a godsend. I have had help with headaches, allergies, and overall energy. This doctor is highly trained and sometimes astounds me with the placement of a few needles and the difference it makes. Some problems are improved in a few moments for me, such as a stuffy nose. Some problems, I can feel improvement right after the treatment, and some are ongoing treatments with gradual improvement. I can easily say that this Clinic and the doctors have been fantastic in helping to improve my quality of life.

This is a wonderful clinic and the staff is excellent! I highly recommend as I will be returning for more services.

Dr. Xu is incredible!! She made me feel so comfortable - explaining everything, the science of acupuncture, what would be happening, and how the treatments would work. I was a little skeptical at first, but even after my first session, I noticed a difference in my hip pain. I have gone from 4 ibuprofen, 2x/day to only as needed...have not taken any so far today!! I am sleeping better and feel better overall. I am a believer!!!

Dr Xu is just the best! She knows exactly what she is doing. I have had this heel pain for 10 months in both feet. I tried P.T, cortisone shots, ortho inserts, 9 new kinds of shoes, and every stretch invented- as well as so much money on every possible gimmick. I would try anything since I was in so much pain I could not get my grocery shopping done. One visit and my right foot was pain free. My left foot had more issues all the way up to my hip ( which also has had pain for years)so that is taking a few more sessions but is making progress each time. I just cannot say enough about her. She is also kind, empathetic and very professional.

We went there for the first time on a little vacation. Back in the end of December 2018. Expecting NO harm, but maybe some relief from some allergies BUT instead it turned out to be a NIGHTMARE for BOTH of us exspecialy for my son. He has NEVER been the same after the one treatment with DR Xu. She told us NO harm not pain, YES it was HARM and PAIN... DO NOT recommend DR. XU. VERY sad and bad experience. We will NOT be back...

I just went to the EBOM Clinic for the first time today! I was really skeptical at first because I have really bad back pain and I had a horrible headache going in. Two hours later and my back felt like I was 16 again! AND my headache was completely gone! I will definitely be back and you should go see them too!

My friend recommended Ebom to me when I was talking about my constant back pain that was not being relieved by my chiropractor. I was in a horrible motorcycle accident in 2002. So I have been going to chiropractors for years, that has never really taking away my constant pain.So now after 6 treatments of acupuncture, cupping and heat once a week....I feel wonderful!!! I cut my appointment to every 3weeks (maybe should have only gone 2weeks).I am so relieved on how GREAT I feel....wish I would have gotten the 12 treatment package.
