NEVER write reviews but this place most certainly deserves one! You see my husband and I bought a house and the old owners left a pond full of fish that we was absolutely clueless about. We ventured off to this adventure and found this store! Lets me just say hands down was the BEST experience weve ever had! Alesha was so compassionate and concerned with our needs, she was extreamly patient with all of our questions and even interacted with our Littles while we browsed the store. It its so clean and everything was put in its place and neat. The staff was also very fun to talk with! We left feeling confident in the care of the pond and fish we aquired and they are just thriving! I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend all your fish and water needs from this amazing store! I had purchased some plants from this store, within less than a month all my fish died and my tank was infested with hydra. I called the store asking if there was a way to reimburse me, they stated they do not guarantee that their plants don’t have hitchhikers. Be careful with the plants that are purchased within this store. Hydra is very hard to get rid of and I will now have to strip my tank.

Staff was very friendly, shop was so clean, and the selection is amazing!! We accidentally picked out a semi aggressive fish for our community tank and the guy made sure to let us know before we purchased it to protect our other fish!

Very unpleasant customer service when trying to return 4 small things all still unopened, in the same packaging as when I purchased it all 14 days prior. I first learned that they had a 7 day return policy otherwise you were held to a 15+% restocking fee, which OK the very confusing return policy was posted on the front counter, I do with wish that somebody would’ve explained it to me when I purchased the item. Moving on that wasn’t the main issue, the issue I had is the gal helping me acted very annoyed about the return and was complaining how they were now going to be charged twice on their credit card processing fees…! I get it… but you just took 15-20% from my refund to “restock the items” which doesn’t that cover the extra fees! I would have taken cash…please don’t put guilt on your customer!

They are selling sick fish with velvet or ick to customers and not disclosing it to the purchasers. The manager treats the staff very disrespectfully. The service used to be really good a few months ago but its changed dramatically.

Fantastic store, they have a great reptile section with the best variety of snakes I’ve seen in NE. Bought my ball python from there and he’s doing great, very healthy! Owner and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and prices are fair, cannot recommend this place enough!

Everything needed for aquariums plus some unique fish, everything is clean too. Workers seem passionate and always want to help or have a conversation. S+ aquascape inventory with seemingly unlimited wood and stones for some of the best prices Ive ever seen. Also rare to see freshwater shrimp in stock at a store so thats a plus. A bit expensive for the pets but thats what you get for in-store places a lot of times, also worth the quality and there were no sick fish or reptiles. Reptiles looked great and cared for as well.

These guys are awesome. They are very knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have. This is the only place I buy fish from now they have an amazing selection and actually quarantine fish before putting them out for sale. I have bought probably over 100 fish from them in the past 1-2 years and have only had 2 die the rest are still alive and healthy. In addition my tank is planted and doing very well. The store is always clean and they have an awesome selection. Keep up the great work guys and gals!

Everyone seems knowledgeable. If they arent already helping someone they are offering help. Inventory seems pretty low not sure if its the virus, but hope they get more stuff soon.

Don’t care for the new store, the vibe is defiantly different, store was so hot, heat was blasting on a fairly warm day that I had to get out of there. Couldn’t really enjoy the experience.

Ill never spend another penny at this store. Very poor management and unethical practices by employees. After many years of supporting this business, I cannot in good conciousness continue. When the new employees bad mouth the previous owner, former employees and slander other fish stores, thats a reflection on the new owners.

They have a large verity of fish and reptiles to choose from. Also staff is really good on attending to customers.

I cannot recommend this place enough because of how well they treat their animals. After seeing how unhealthy the fish looked at Petsmart and Petco, I chose to go to Nebraska Aquatic Supply because I knew that they treat their fish and other creatures ethically. The staff are very kind, attentive, and informative. The fish always look healthy and strong. I am so glad to have found this place and highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to buy some fish, tank supplies, or even some reptiles and amphibians. Nebraska Aquatic supply has an impressive variety of both fresh and saltwater creatures, as well as aquatic plants! This was the only place in Omaha I was able to find specifically what I was looking for. Their coral nursery is the best Ive seen our area, hands down! You can also find an ample variety of supplies and accessories for your reptile terrarium. The staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful! You can tell they really care about what they do based on their clearly well kept tanks and awesome customer relations. 100% recommend whether youre an enthusiast, just beginning your set up, or just simply like to gaze at the fish in the store in your free time.

Awesome store. They helped me take some of my first steps towards a very natural and healthy tank. The spider wood I bought from NAS is one of the most defining pieces of my tank and it’s made all of my fish comfortable to be in a much more natural environment.Staff here are generally informative and friendly. They tend to leave you alone while you browse, so if you’re a pro aquarist who has no questions, this is probably a heavenly environment. For newbie aquarists, you may have to speak up to get somebody’s attention.Sometimes I find the fish selection a bit wanting, but overall it’s a very neat store with a solid amount of options. They definitely do throw some curveball species in there that are fun to see. It’s one of those environments where you could go just to browse and have a great time watching the fish. Fortunately, it’s so much more than that.

Very disappointed. my mom and I both got fish. I got five guppies and she got one. within two weeks hers had ich and now so do mine. called to let someone know that they sold us sick fish and they refused to take responsibility and where very rude over the phone. I have only gotten fish from there so I know mine didnt get it from somewhere else. My tank is small and can be easily treated as its early but as for my mom hers is a 55 gal and just to expensive to treat all of them also all of her fish had been perfectly fine until she introduced the new guppie. Her guppie ended up going down hill and dying very quickly. But as I said they refused to take responsibility at all. I will not be returning and will never recommend them to anyone

They have amazing supply of healty fish, coral and a hand full of reptiles. The fish are one of a kind - from salt water to fresh you have to check them out. Went to look and came out with another crested gecko.

Love this place staff really cares. Scott and Sean are so knowledgeable. They also dont keep the salinity low on the saltwater fish, less acclimation time is worth a bit more money.

Very pleasantly surprised when I walked in. The location doesnt look like it would be a retail fish store, open to the public. A great selection of aquarium supplies were in the front, with fresh and salt water fish in one of the back rooms. Good selection, great staff, and good prices. A great find!

You can tell they really know what theyre talking about just by looking at their tanks. Beautiful setups. The staff have only ever been helpful and they always have what Im looking for! I only wish they had better setups for the betta fish, but other than that I have no complaints.

Very knowledgeable, friendly, and eager to please staff. Also had a great satisfaction guarantee policy and also tracks your purchases so if you lose your receipt its not the end of the world. Not a huge fish population in our house, but Ill check here first for all our needs in the future.

Everyone is nice. However, communication between staff members leaves MUCH to be desired, as does providing more assistance to aquarium newbies. Ownership has changed but new owner has yet to rectify issues I had with fish. I have switched to another vendor for my aquarium maintenance-the other vendor is great, and they have already corrected issues that NE Aquatics knew but did not address. I spent a total of several hundred dollars at NE Aquatics-again, the staff is very nice, but they will be getting no more $$ from me.

The staff here is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Their plants and fish are healthy and thrive. Very easy flow through the store and they have a lot of tanks set up just for viewing pleasure as well as many many tanks full off livestock to purchase.

Walked in and was impressed by the tanks.... thats as far as it got. Absolute zero customer service for half an hour. I left the store before anyone even acknowledge my presence that I wanted to buy from the limited amount of aquatic plants. Everything is horridly over priced. A small small coral was like $50. A below average was $200. I will never recommend this store to anyone. Go to Aqua Pets off 108th and Maple, they have a good selection and the guy who works there knows exactly what hes doing.The employees that worked there, if thats what you can call it, stood in the back room and peeked out at everyone a few times and then just went back in to test their tanks water. People were just walking around waiting and waiting. Then there was the owner I think, he was just sitting in office not doing anything. Just sitting there while people were looking to make purchases.

NOT cheap. However if you maintain or supply aquarium, personal or office, they have two things you knew you needed and at least one thing you didnt. HUGE selection of fish, aquatic animals, tanks and accessories. Well worth a long drive.

If you are looking for top of the line aquatic goods, this is the place for you. They offer a large assortment of both salt and fresh water supplies.If you are in to Planted tanks they are also the place for you. I was amazed that you could buy RO water by the gallon there (50 cents/gal ) as well as saltwater by the gallon (1$/gal). I would recommend this place to everyone. They also have live salt water rocks for sale by the pound...I will definitely be stopping in again!

I dont understand why there are so many negative reviews... I went here yesterday just to see what it was like. A female worker came right up to me and explained the layout (FW, SW, community, s-aggressive, etc.) And then I said thank you and I would let her know if I had any questions. She happily walked away until I asked for help and she was immediately there. Very great experience, very knowledgeable staff and very friendly.UPDATE: I have gone there 3 times since this review. Im terrible with names, but I had a different female help me out the last couple times. Im trying to start a saltwater community and know diddly squat about it. She happily assisted me with all of my questions. She helped me for about 45 minutes and remained really patient and attentive. At one point I apologized for asking so many questions, and bothering her with how much I didnt know and she replied with something along the lines of dont be sorry! I really respect that you are doing your research before jumping into something that can be very complex at times. This store has absolutely wonderful customer service, and very friendly staff.I will be doing all of my fish shopping here from now on.

This is my favorite fish store in Omaha, and Ive seriously tried them all! They have the best water for sale, best bettas, and all their associates are very knowledgeable!

If you go here make sure you work with the girls the guys never really will talk to you for even a moment so definitely heads up on that one otherwise pretty decent experience. Oh and also, I was on the list for a Royal Gramma. Came in and saw they had some, was told they didnt even check the list and the fish were already sold. Why do you even have a list?
