My wife and I had a quick timeline for a local move across town in Omaha, NE over the holidays with cold and snowy weather. We had never used a portable SAM (Store and Move) before, but could not have been happier with the results! The staff at Select Van were professional, understanding and accommodating. The SAM was delivered on time and in great condition and the Mayflower movers did an exceptional job packing our SAM! Moving can be stressful, but ours was made so much better by working with Select Van & Storage! We could not recommend them more!

We had great movers at both locations. They were very professional and polite. All of our possessions arrived just as they were when they picked them up. Our best move ever.

I gave them a 4 stars because I did the packing. They just loaded the truck. However, the job was well done. My items were delivered on time and in good condition. The price a little expensive, but the job was well done. I moved from Nebraska to Illinois. Love it

Wonderful bunch of people! Had a great experience from the moment I called to check on our move date to after they left. The ladies they sent to pack our household were nice, efficient, and professional. The guys they sent to load up all the boxes and furniture were super nice and helpful. They didn’t bat an eyelash at me reminding them of some hidden outdoor items. I don’t usually leave reviews, but I just had to rave on how great these people are. Would definitely move with them again!

I just wanted to say thank you to Scott Dodges team (team of 3) that helped with my move this past weekend. They were very prepared and efficient, which in return made my moving experience simple and easy. I was very pleased with the hard work and respect given by all of the movers. We moved from Nebraska to Nevada. We took estimates from three companies including Mayflower/Select Van. Josh was professional and explained things well, guaranteeing our price. He gave us certificates to obtain boxes and when we went to get boxes, they were generous and made sure we had the boxes we needed and paper for packing. The crew provided in Nebraska for packing the truck were just nice guys and very competent. We thoroughly enjoyed the day. At the other end, it was all delivered on schedule and not one thing was broken. The price was paid with credit card and we got a small refund because we were slightly under the estimated weight. It was as easy as it could possibly have been. We are now settled in and would recommend Select Van and Mayflower to anyone who asked!

Ive been working with Wink Smith & his team for every move Ive made over the last 15 years. Not only are they professional and reliable, theyre easy to work with and, across the board, incredibly kind and friendly. My things arrived in excellent shape and in a timely fashion. Wink went out of his way to make my move easy as it could be, and I knew my drivers from years ago--they feel like family, because they basically are. Moving is stressful--and, at the risk of sounding cheesy, Select really makes it easier.

Seth Banks and his team delivered and unloaded my house-hold items on 03 Aug 17.Despite a logistical accounting mess created from the source of the move, Seth led his team of three guys and also managed to account for all of his vehicles load. Seth was professional, courteous, and efficient. He even went above and beyond by helping out a lone mover from a different carrier due to his carrier not providing him the manpower. Despite the circumstances, Seth Banks was successful in the job. His leadership, management, communication skills, and professionalism gives him and his team a 5 star review. I highly recommend Seth for a promotion to a leadership position as well as a pay raise in salary. He earned it! Good job Seth!

I gave 3 stars because of not having communication until after the deliver date was past due. After my delivery was past due I REACHED out to my coordinator to see what was taking so long. I feel if I did not reach out he would not of called me. My experience was great with Josh MacCallum, he answered all of my questions and concerns about using a long distance moving company. Josh was understanding about my moving needs and knew I possibly would not be there during pick up day and he worked with my mom who was helping me coordinate the move out of Omaha. The guys who picked up and loaded the truck all were great they protected the carpets and only kept the dollys on the protected carpeted areas. Sorry guys I do not remember your names. Ron Reed was the coordinator he seemed nice and kept me informed about pick up day after that I did not hear from him until I reached out to see when I would get delivery. I left a message with Ron in the morning and did not get a return call back, I called again at the end of the work day and finally was able to talk with him. I asked what the hold up was and he said they forgot about my delivery. Granted my delivery would take place between Christmas and New Year. He said that he is trying to coordinate a way to get the delivery soon with the Louisville, KY office. He said he would call or email me the next day. I did receive an email stating he is still working on the coordination, I did get a phone call later that day saying he thinks the delivery will be the following week. I asked him again what was the hold up and he said they could not get the coordination of other people moving in my direction and I said so you did not forget about me and he said No they just could not get the coordination. I feel if the company was not getting a coordination to get my delivery by the date they stated in the contract I should of received a phone call before the due date. In the end I did receive my delivery of furniture 10 days late which cost the company $1000. Only if I had more communication I would of given more stars instead of 3.

Select Van Mayflower were the most wonderful people Ive ever dealt with. They were kind and caring, and did all in their power to make our moving storage/experience the best it could possibly be.One of their movers deserves as many kudos as I can give him. Jason Garcia loaded a 26 U-Haul in 5 hours nearly by himself. He was careful, and wrapped all our belongings, then (as he put it) played Tetris inside the van. We were able to get much more in the van than we ever believed possible thanks to his great work.Thank you Jason, and thank you Select Van Mayflower

The movers ( Seth and Kris ) called ahead to let me know when they would arrive. They were on time and brought the new mattress in the house, and took out the old one. They did this in a very friendly and professional manner. I would give them 5 stars, excellent job !!!!!

Select Van and Storage has moved me several times of the last few years. They are the true careful movers. This move was the first where we used their packing service. The ladies did a fabulous job of packing and ensuring that each fragile item was protected from risk of damage. Very appreciative of Tina, Samantha, Sean and his crew. Because of their care and kindness, my husband says Select will move us from here on out.

I ordered a new bed and they delivered it for me, I have a newborn with some serious medical conditions that make it hard for him to sleep so any slight noises can wake him which then can mean taking hours to put him back down. The movers silently removed my old mattress and brought in my brand new mattress without making a sound. Keeping my newborn peacefully asleep the entire time! I am very impressed with their ninja skills!

Movers were professional and on time day of the delivery. Move was clean and had no issues. No damages to house or furniture. Before the move they offered us complimentary moving totes and that made moving a ton easier. I would recommend them to anyone.

Their prices are good. Ive used them several times and they always do a good job with the moving part.They very much lack in coordination and logistics. Messages dont get communicated to the movers so if you plan on them first thing in the morning they show up after lunch.Time to look elsewhere.

Everything about this move for me went more smoothly than I could have expected. The movers themselves were on time and prepared my house for taking furniture out with pads, plastic on the carpet, etc.The truck arrived at my destination state and home exactly when they said and everything was put into the rooms I wanted. They also removed a few pieces of furniture from the new home for me. Not one thing was broken or missing. They were friendly and efficient and all the furniture was put back together just like it was when they took it apart..... great experience for me! Thanks Mayflower!

Ive worked with Mayflower a few times and have had okay service until my most recent visit. Went to pick up some of my contents from their warehouse and saw a completely unorganized shop of different peoples contents which is concerning because contents can easily get mixed up between families. What was the most appalling part about my visit was with Matt one of the the sales associates. He directed me to back up to a loading ramp over a pile of debris and I got a nail in a $400 tire because they are too lazy to clean their yard and did not get any apology or compensation after driving over their trash. All I got was a shoulder shrug. I would recommend using Fire Fighters on the Move for all moving around the Omaha Metro. Much better service from people that care about their customers.

If I could give a 0 I would. Do NOT USE THIS GROUP FOR ANYTHING!!! Never called us to set up delivery with a purchase over the internet that (unfortunately the company chose this POS to deliver) they never called us to set up a time and today was to be delivered by 1 pm...it is now 2:17 pm with no phone calls back. I have left numerous messages and the last one was not nice. I hope the place burns to the ground.

Worst experience EVER! We were contacted on Tuesday to schedule delivery of our mattress on Wednesday between 10am-12pm and they would call 30min before arrival. No one ever called or showed up! Not even a call to say they werent coming! My fiance took off work to be here! Called the company we ordered this through on Wednesday night, they contacted Select Van and were told it would be delivered the next day(Thursday)...here I sit waiting at 5pm on Thursday, still no mattress and no call. We contacted the company and left several messages the last 2 days and they will not return our calls! We had already taken the old mattress and box spring down to the garage Wednesday and had to carry it back up so we had somewhere to sleep! Now the company we purchased the mattress from contacted Select again and we are being told they will file a complaint and get back to us in 24-48 hours! TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!

I had an amazing experience with Select Van and Storage. I moved from Lincoln NE to Summerville SC and they took excellent care of me and my items. They were completely on the ball, efficient, and friendly. I would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone who needs a moving company!

A great place to be professionaly relocated

Id like to share my experiences with my recent move from Omaha to the Minneapolis suburbs. I had never relocated across the country before and didnt realize the challenges of moving. In retrospect, if not for the guidance and direction of J.R. and Wink Smith the move would have been a lot more problematic.From J.R.s initial consultation and guidance during the assessment phase he was quick to explain and give his rationale on what needed to be done. He looked at ways to make the move economical and gave suggestions on how I could help reduce excessive moving costs while providing me a truly first class moving experience. My wife and I did most of the packing to save money and J.R.s assistance helped us to obtain the most practical packing materials at less cost than the competitive bids that I received. My needs were at the utmost of their concerns. The communication between J.R. and Wink was pretty remarkable in them always being responsive and going the extra mile to alleviate some of the problems that cross country moving will uncover.The move itself began with pick-up in Omaha at the exact time that Select told me to expect the movers. It was the hottest day of the year so conditions were not ideal for packing a 3,000 pound load. The workers worked into the night but were able to get the pack completed in one day. When we arrived in Minneapolis, Select had everything in order and we were able to get unpacked in Minnesota in one day; even though the driveway to the house in Minnesota was so long that the truck could not be driven into the drive and they had to get a shuttle truck to navigate from the street to the house. There were no extra charges for this. There were a couple of nicks and scratches but nothing of any magnitude and J.R. has already scheduled the local furniture repair company to make the necessary repairs at no cost to me. Its been two weeks since the move and the good folks at Select have helped ease the anxiety of the move.I would recommend Select Van and Storage for any move and will definitely use them for any long distance moves that I have in the future. They are truly a first class organization.John Murante

I have to tell you from the time I called Select Van and Storage until the move was over I was shocked at the courtesy and professionalism. I spoke initially with Garret and he handled everything from boxes and wrap to getting me the best crew in moving. When the movers got to our home it became apparent that Scott was the crew chief and went over the move while Blandon, Mark and Derek (the rest of Scotts crew) started arranging things. It was fantastic! They guys treated my wife and I with the utmost respect and at the same time like we were relatives. They were pleasant and polite at all times. THey took great care of our belongings and helped arrange one of the bedrooms that my wife was wondering about.All in all no company in town will handle any move I ever do except Select and only with Garret and Scott leading the charge. And, the price was more than reasonable.

The worst company ive dealt with. They hit my car, told me they would take care of everything then they claim they said no such thing. The driver and his partner were nice and courteus but the claims representative cathy weaver was very hard to get ahold of and had an attitude.

I had a horrible experience with Bekins Van Lines moving from Virginia to Omaha NE. Select Van and Storage was the place where my belongings finally ended up from Virginia. Bekins and Wheaton were a nightmare but Select showed up with my belongings and were a welcomed surprise. Scott, Randy, and Rodrigo were professional and friendly and took great care to put my belongings in my new home. They were patient with my questions since I had been lied to by Bekins and was very skeptical. My bed was badly damaged after being poorly packed by Bekins and Select team took pictures and offered support if needed. I would highly recommend Select Van and Storage in Omaha for any moving opportunity.

Do not use this company to move anything. They take no responsibility for their employees, do not return phone calls, do not do as they say they will do (i.e., they delivered our items 8 days late without an excuse), we had several thousand dollars worth of damage to our items, but also another thousand dollars worth of damage to our home. We are not even sure we received all the boxes because the driver left mid-move after screaming and cussing at us.

They were extremely helpful. Made moving easy!

Josh was supposed to give me a walk-through estimate today. He never called and never showed up.

This place is nothing but thieves and if given the chance will rob your belongings right in front of your face all the while have a smile on their face and looking you in the eye!

A day late, but happy.
