I recently bought my first car with Desert Import Export and their service was outstanding! Along with their affordable prices! I love the car and it is just as I hoped it would be. Definitely recommend to everyone who is buying a car, these guys will be your best option!!

Paid $5500 for a car then had to pay $6,000+ in repairs the first month I owned it.I purchased a Nissan Xterra from Desert Auto Dealer as a tertiary vehicle and it turned out to be a total lemon that cost more to repair than I paid for the car. The first time I drove the car after bringing it home, the check engine light turned on and it turned out that the car had massive transmission and other issues. According to three different mechanics at different shops, due to the extent of even just the transmission issues, there was no way the dealership did not know that this car had problems (they just reset the check engine light).Furthermore, I found out that instead of fixing the issue that made the check airbag light turn on, which was a part of our pre-purchase agreement and which he swore hed fix because it was a safety issue, Avi just had it reset.When I went to tell Avi, he told me that because I bought the car as is he didnt have to fix the car, take it back, or do anything for me. If you look past all the glowing five star reviews from people who have mostly only ever reviewed Desert Auto Dealer or Desert Import Export or suspiciously live out of the area but seem to review a lot of random businesses all over the country/world, there are other reviews that mirror mine. Furthermore, I noted that whenever they reach a critical mass of bad reviews on Yelp or on Google, they have Yelp or Google take down the page for the old business, slightly change their name, and then immediately have a bunch of five star reviews that magically appear under their new business profile.Please note that I did hire a mobile mechanic to inspect my car but these guys know what they are doing in terms of superficially hiding issues long enough for it to pass inspection. If you decide to go with them, look past the great reviews, you will see that there are a LOT of people online who have had similar experiences to mine.

Just taken delivery of brand new car would thoroughly recommend. Has to be said I was initially a little concerned about buying a car through an Internet site. The experience I’ve had with Desert Import Export has been absolutely fantastic. Very rarely do you come across a company which delivers both fantastic customer service and an incredible discount. Communication has been excellent throughout the whole process. Was always really easy to get in touch with all the people at Desert Import Export by phone. just paid an initial deposit. You then take delivery of the car. Make the payment. It was such an amazing experience. Highly recommended.

Wanted to gift a car to my girlfriend on our first anniversary but i was kind of tight on budget and i cant afford to gift a broken one either. But they helped me chose the right car and the test drive went very good and its been a while since i got the car but my gf still uses the car without any problem. So yeah they are good.

AVOID!!! I bought a car here back in February from Avi, upon checking out the car there was a number of trim pieces missing from the front of the car which Avi promised he would send me... he never did. After being told the car was in perfect condition, after having the car for a little over a day I had a check engine light come on and then the car died on the side of the road... I took it to Ford and they informed me of a laundry list of things the car needed. 3 months on i still havent received my title or any documentation. Dont waste your money, go somewhere else.

Avi kindly made us an appointment on a Sunday so my daughter could check out a couple of cars we had seen on their website. He wasnt in the least bit pushy. My daughter liked one of the cars and snap! an hour later she was driving out of there and on her way to San Diego. The car was fairly and affordably priced and there are only a few minor things wrong with it which is surprising for a 9 year old vehicle. I would stay away from this place. I came here to test drive a Prius and a Camry a while back. The Camry had a weird, loud grinding noise coming from the engine bay under acceleration to merge onto the highway.The Prius had no AC.One of the guys also said some rude things in hushed tones to me about Mexicans. (I dont think he knew my girlfriend was Latina, and i was looking for the car for her)Just, be VERY VERY careful with the cars here. If youre set on a car, get it taken to a mechanic you trust and have them do a thorough inspection. If you dont have one, do an extremely thorough test drive. Check merging onto the highway, cruising on the highway, stop and go traffic, sit there idling for a few minutes, be very, very thorough in the test drive and make sure you understand things to look for on the car itself when making an inspection.

Heres what I know to be true! Avi is a fine gentlemen and is true to his word. My son and I purchased a 2015 Prius that by all accounts looked to be in prime condition! Dishonest people here. Stay away from this place its a junkyard and the people there are crooks. ive already reviewed them under the name desert auto dealer but now theyre desert import export. Both sell lemons and they lie about it. These cars are not even close to what they advertise or what they say. i bought a car back in january.. First the a/c had problems, i took it to him twice and was very disappointed the second time. then he admits he only serviced the car and not repaired it. That was a lie he refilled the refrigerant and didnt replace the broken air condenser. Now im not going into details about the arguments i had with this scum pos whos name is AVI. i will just say he lied, he cared nothing about how i felt about the car, argumentative, dishonorable, and unreasonable. in other words, his message was its my fault for buying that junk. 2nd he said the battery was new that was a lie, i just replaced it 2 weeks ago. Now the air intake and turbo are failing. 7 months after buying. STOP SCAMMING PEOPLE. i hope this reaches alot of people because scammers like this need to be exposed.

I had the worst experience ever. I got ripped off. Payed cash for my car and not even a week later the check engine light goes on to my car. My battery had supposably been replaced and the day after driving it home the battery was completely dead. Seller said he wasnt going to do anything about it. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Bought a car from this place Tuesday April 26th and paid for everything that day and got the paperwork saying it will be registered and turned into the California DMV within a few days and the plates mailed out within two to three weeks. Had no plate frame for back license plate holder and only could put paper copy on front windshield. Waited for three to four weeks constantly checking and nothing happened, got stopped four times by police who could not see registration in back and then issued two tickets when I found out from one cop the car was registered to someone else. Called Desert auto today and told by salesman the paperwork had not been processed yet and he would get right on it 45 days after the car was purchased. How could I give the place anything but the lowest rating and caution to anyone buying a car.

Avi told us if we had any problems with the car when we got home, just to call him and he would make it right. 3 days after we got home we noticed an oil leak so called Avi, he told us to bring it in, we did and at no cost to us he had the oil pan gasket replaced. I purchased a silver 01 mitsubishi Montero from them. only to discover the rear axle was bent. they reluctantly returned my money. but I lost the $750 taxes and title. Then they put the vehicle back for sale the next day... obviously they do not care for the well being of their customers. I would not doubt for a moment that the 100% positive reviews are simply too good to be true, and are false accounts.Moreover, I have just discovered from the DMV that the liability for the vehicle is still in my name too. and its been over a month.Shady, stay away.
