I purchased a car through SoCal Motorcars and it was a very stress free experience! Jay was easy to talk to, extremely transparent and helpful while I looked at the vehicle and test drove it. He answered all my questions honestly and even let me take the car over to the local mechanic to have something looked at before I purchased. If you see a car you like I would highly recommend checking this spot out, its not like youre typical used car dealership, so refreshing.

I can’t imagine a better auto buying experience. Dave was up front, honest, on time and made the experience fun. Like dealing with a friend. Sounds corny, but in this case true. The car was exactly as advertised, he gave me all the time I needed for a test drive, no rushing me at all. We are in our 80s. Bought alot of cars in our life. Things have changed since we bought out last car 15 years ago. Jay was very straightforward and honest with the car we bought, and explained the whole DMV process on what and when everything was going to happen. Most importantly, he followed up after the sale to make certain we got the new license tabs and new title. Most people would just assume everything was ok. Jay went the extra mile. We are 1 million percent satisfied!!!

Got my 2014 Fusion Hybrid with fairly low mileage and in good condition. Owner came and picked me up too. And the license plates came in less than two weeks. Thank you!Update: Owner told me not to waste my money on the warranty. The car made a squealing noise by 2nd week. Had it towed to Ford after stranded on highway; went completely kaput and needed a whole new transmission which costs more than the car.

Dave at SoCal Motorcars is excellent!! I can not rave enough about this used car dealership! From start to finish the entire process was seamless. Dave provided information, inspection, vehicle test driving, and patience while I obtained my financing. I bought a 20 yr old Ford Explorer with only 142,xxx miles! Top of the line with all the extras, excellent mechanical and physical condition of the vehicle! When I test drove it, I knew immediately, this was the SUV. Having retired from automotive manufacturing management, I know what to look for, Dave doesnt need to sell his vehicles. Obviously, the quality is there, at a reasonable price. I feel this is the best used vehicle purchase I have ever made! I was living in Palm Springs, CA when I purchased the truck November 2019. Three months later, I am visiting family & friends in St. Louis, Missouri! That truck drives like a dream! Carried me cross country from California to Missouri without stopping for anything except gas!! Still running perfectly in these frigid temperatures here. It is truly the best vehicle I have ever owned, & Ive had new cars. David is the best car dealership owner, Ive ever met. So glad I trusted him and SoCal Motorcars!!

My husband and I live in Buffalo, NY and were real skeptical about buying a car 2500 miles away. I contacted Jay and he was very honest about the 1998 Cadillac ElDorado and answered all my questions. It first seen like it was going to be a great experience with this car dealer but it was not. I tested and bought a convertible Mercedes Benz, I was happy with my purchase, until a WHOLE year when by and No Car Title.I called Dave and let him know that it’s been more than 6 months and I still had not received the Car Title. He supposedly got on the phone and the problem was resolved, according to him. Two month later still not Car Title! I called Dave again and this time is was not has nice! Again he made his called and now was telling me that I needed to get some paperwork from him and I needed to get it notarized..??! WHAT??? WHY??? I decide to do it myself and when to the DMV, 2 weeks later I had the Car Title in my hand! Hard to understand why this was a big mess for this dealership! It’s usually so easy to request a car title to be send to the new car owner. This was a bad experience for me.

After you read all the paid reviews put on this persons business page 10 months ago...check out this real one. Also, take a minute to look at SoCal Motors reputation on Yelp...it will make you yelp. Dave is a liar. He will lie to your face and sell you something he does not own. Then he will get confrontational with you on the phone when you try to fix the situation...like getting a pink slip for a car paid for upfront and 100% in cash. If he says the car has had an oil change, better schedule one asap, because it is a lie. If he says getting the title will be no problem, plan on going to court, because that is a lie. LIES...LIES...LIES. Why would you buy here? Do yourself a favor and keep looking for another car.

Over all I am very happy with my purchase from SoCal Motors. Their communications were good. They were very helpful assiting with the transport across the country. The only thing I was not thrilled about is the bottom of the drivers mirror is broken. You cant see it unless you are driving the car so they might not have known it was broken. Anyway is was an above average experience dealing with SoCal Motors and I am very happy and would buy from them again.

I bought a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac XLT and had an amazing buying experience! As a woman in her 20s, it can be a very intimidating process to buy a car from a dealer. However, I have nothing but good things to say about my process with SoCal Motorcar. Dave, the owner, was very accommodating and trustworthy. As an out-of-state buyer, I was weary of how the transition was going to play out to get the registration and title taken care of, but it couldnt have been a smoother process thanks to Dave. I would definitely recommend this dealer to family or friends looking for a reliable used car from a dealer who is truly honest and helpful!

Dave was very responsive to my phone calls and inquiries about the vehicle. The purchase of my daughters first car went smoothly and flawlessly, and I loved that the transaction didnt take all day like other dealerships.

My wife loves her 10-year-old Saab, but it was getting to be time for something new. She wasnt that excited about any new cars, so I started a nationwide search for a low-mileage Saab. When this one popped up a couple hours from home, it looked like a good option. Dave turned out to be great to deal with. Hes an enthusiast who knows what hes selling, particularly Saabs. He didnt try to oversell the car, and priced it fairly. I got the sense that he buys and sells cars he likes, and he definitely didnt bother with any of the used car dealer schtick. Even his location was unlike any used car dealership Id ever seen. Its basically a small warehouse in an industrial park, with maybe a dozen cars, all parked inside. I bought the car within about 30 minutes of seeing it and drove it 120 miles home at pretty high speed.Im compulsive about maintenance, and it is an eight-year-old car, so I dropped it off at my experienced Saab mechanic before even taking it home. He gave it a very careful inspection and proclaimed it to be a solid car, with nothing broken or nonfunctioning. Yes, I did some maintenance items since we didnt know the history, but I admit Im compulsive. A lot of people would have just driven it. I also had a chunk of the car painted, since the clear coat was burned from the sun. Once again, Dave hadnt tried to hide that fact, but had priced the car accordingly. With a bunch of maintenance items the car didnt absolutely need, and all the paint work done by a pro who wasnt cheap, I still have less money in this car than any of the east coast cars I looked at would have cost me. Most importantly, my wife is beyond thrilled.Buying used cars, especially ones this old, is always a gamble. That said, this was the best experience Ive had with one, and got a good car.

Ive never bought a used car in California. Was told of all the scams.Then I met David the Owner of SoCal Motorcar. He came across so Sincere and Honest that I trusted him when he said the car had never been in a accident and was Safety checked. That it was his policy to Never sell a car that he wouldnt let his wife Drive.So I bought the used Audi A 4. Well was I wrong. 1st the Carfax didnt mention that the car had been in a accident. Drivers side was partially fixed and poorly painted as pointed out to me by a Body Man when I brought the car into a Repair shop to fix a cracked CV Driveshaft, Engine Manifold Gasket and more. $1500 so far and now the Engine light is on and who knows what that means in new costs of repairs. He sold me a GWC Warranty thats suppose to cover everything but wear and tear. So far the warranty people refuse to cover anything. $2,279.00 for nothing. GWC offered to cancel the warranty and Refund my full payment of $2279.00 I had to beg/Fight with Mr. berhoff and in the end. I only got back $!990.00 Short by $289.00. When I called to ask for the rest all Mr Berghoff said was GOOD LUCK ITS MY HANDLING COSTI could go on and on. Instead Dont believe or trust what you hear about SoCal Motorcar. I wish I could Sue for false information etc.DO YOU REALLY WANT TO DEAL WITH SOMEONE WHO PULLS THESE KIND OF THINGS. BE WARNED.UPDATE: Finally got rid of the car TOTAL REPAIRS IN 1 YEAR $3,890.00Remember SoCal responded but just as he misrepresented to us when he sold the car, Again he is Misrepresenting the facts.
