Best little coffee shop! Love the ladies that work here always make my drinks correct and they have the best dang food you have to check it out!

We love coming here! The staff is always so friendly! We even came in on Easter after church. We were surprised they’re open! Their sandwiches are really good! Their coffee is really good. I love that they have every alternative milk that there is!Great place! And I love that it’s so close to where I live!

The girl in the drive thru was bubbly and happy to be there! It was a fun experience interacting with her as we waited for our coffees. Coffee was okay.

This coffee shop is AWESOME! The people are friendly, provide quick service and make great coffee and sandwiches. I prefer this coffee shop over all others in Washington. If you have never been to Blue Steele, it well worth the trip.

I went here to look at the fallen officers Memorial because it was the 9th year anniversary. I remember when this happened and I was shocked at how close to home it was. I also was taking back when I walked into the doors after seen it on the news and the huge support of people. Even though its changed names. The flags didnt have lights on them and it was dark outside. Not sure who takes care of it but you would think you would be on it. Fix it guys.

Great spot for a cup of Joe and lunch. A tribute to our nations services, this coffee shop has lots of memories and photos of fallen officers. Looks like a great place to support your local law enforcement and first responders

Their new gluten free bread tortilla thing is awful. It gets greasy and then the whole sandwich falls apart. Also I ordered yesterday and I clearly said no onions on my husbands sandwich, but there were onions and he spat his sandwich out and threw it in the trash. Never ordering from here again because now I cant even trust its gluten free if they cant listen to that simple no onion instruction

Good selection of foods and drinks, staffs were friendly and attentive, relaxing atmosphere. Had brunch flatbread and I think it was ok ( it was a little on the dry side). I would be back to try some other sandwiches/salads. Overall, its a great place to hangout and get quick bite. Im glad that they have drive through window for when you are in a hurry.

Employees greet as soon as you walk in with a smile. Food & coffe were delicious. I could use more seasonings, but Im from the south. Not the best location, because area is always busy, so happy theres a traffic light beside it.

Great coffee and they have celiac options, not just gluten-free. Any of their breakfast sandwiches can be made on gluten-free flatbread and they are careful to not cross contaminate. This will be a regular stop on our early morning adventures for sure!

I cannot say enough good things about Blue Steele. Ive been going here off and on for several years. The food and coffee is far above the rest. They serve delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches, among other things. I rarely feel like I went to a drive through for breakfast. The times Ive gone inside, it a so comfortable and we play chess while we sip our coffee (which, of course, is the best in the area).The women that work here are EXTRAORDINARY! They remember my special orders and their customer service is stellar. I always feel appreciated and I hope they know theyre appreciated too!

Awful awful experience. When I waked in I wasn’t greeted at all. When I was standing at the counter one girl looked at me and then looked away without saying anything. When they finally took my order the girl was so rude and snobby. They also weren’t wearing their masks when it says it’s mandatory on the sign outside. Wouldn’t recommend unless you wanna be treated poorly by these teenagers. Get better customer service

Went WAY out of our way to hit this place while trying to avoid the *bucks of the world, and I was glad I did. I have simple tastes and just got a caramel latte, but it was very tasty. Strong coffee flavor, but not bitter and blended well with the milk and caramel. Not the best drink Ive ever had, but it was good.We went through the drive thru, so I cant comment on the inside, just the drink.

I think this place means well maybe the staff was tired the morning theres a pretty good little sandwich I bought they kind of like skimped on the meat and its kind of flopped it together if you get a little sandwich it was lacking some five bucks for hot sandwich I guess thats okay I cant expect five stars at everybody although the coffee was pretty good too so

Every time I come here, the staff is always mind and courteous. The coffee is fantastic (better than Starbucks) and the prices are fair, too. They also have a good assortment of choices for food if you want to grab a bite with your food. I recommend the chai latte. Its so delicious if you arent a fan of coffee, or even if you are!

Nice cozy place for some coffee and to sit by a fireplace. They also have a few table games. Teas are very fragrant and lots of variety. Smoothies are made from premade juices. Coffee is similarly bitter to Starbucks but overall good.

Nice friendly place. Love their food options. Definitely beats the options at any other coffee house I have been to. There was one lady working the inside and the drive through so the wait was a bit longer than normal but it was worth the wait and we will definitely come back. Oh and they have great sugar free flavors.

Cappuccino: 2/5 The coffee didn’t taste fresh and just didn’t taste special.Chicken Bacon Ranch: 1/5 It was soggy and the chicken tasted off, some pieces (of chicken) were cold and some really hot. I had one slice and threw the rest away.Atmosphere: 3/5 I liked that they supported law enforcement and the decor was nice.Staff: 3/5 They were friendly but when I wanted to ask about my food no one seemed to pay attention to me so I just left.Price: 2/5 I paid $16 bucks for the food and coffee that I didn’t enjoy.It seems that others had a better experience, so maybe it will work for you.

This little Coffee Shop is a gem!!!Their coffee is amazing and the employees know everything about it and can help you with your selection easily and will grind it to perfection for your need.The food is very eclectic and something special you cant find anywhere else in this area. It is made fresh for the customer and I have tried many items and have never been disappointed.Best of all, the employees are ALWAYS great and friendly and knowledgeable!!Id give this little coffee shop with a very European flair 10 stars if I could, I highly recommend this place and I do work in the food business and dont give good reviews lightly!

Our favorite coffee shop in the Tacoma/Seattle area! Yummy coffees, super gourmet meals and snacks, or regular breakfast/lunch meals and snacks, and a drive thru! Perfect for on the go with children. I havent had anything I didnt like! Sometimes the coffees are a little too sweet but theyre willing to customize it for you! Gluten free, dairy free options as well.

I came in early and I really enjoyed the aesthetic of the building. The decor was cool, and it was very clean. The drip coffee wasn’t bad but nothing to rave about. Later, the shift change revealed their true weakness… Service. The staff seemed distracted and unorganized but to top it all off they were getting their hair done in the lobby… Really? In the Lobby? To be honest I doubt I’ll give them a try again.

Yummy coffee and great food!! Their breakfast sandwiches are so good that I used to go almost every day to get one! Now that Ive moved, I still stop for one every time Im back in the area, no matter the time of day! They also make really good sandwiches to grab for lunch. Always loaded with the good stuff, they are very filling. Also, their Ham Strada is really good. It takes a while to make, and just as long to eat since its so hot, but if you have time to sit inside and sip a cup of coffee for a while, I highly recommend ordering the Ham Strada to go with it.

I LOVE this place. The grilled sandwiches for lunch are so yummy. I forgot to ask them what exactly SOTO bread is, but its great on the Triple Grilled Cheese. They serve breakfast sandwiches all day. There is a drive up and barista coffee. I like that there is a little fireplace (electric) but its always the most popular spot. I wish there were just a few more cozy spots inside like that. But the food is worth the regular table and chairs. Anyone play chess? Theres a set up for you here.

Even though I want to give this place a 5 stars, I’m not going to..since I’ve had a few bad experiences here.If you want good-wholesome-amazing coffee, go in the mornings. I’m talking opening time up to 11am. If you get served by nice-elderly-women, then your coffee will be worth it. Otherwise, your coffee will be made by inexperienced/rude teens.I went to get a vanilla latte at 3pm and as I drove up the window, a heavy-set female with dark hair stared me down. She was maybe around her 20’s. There was NO positivity coming from her what-so-ever. She did not say one word and continued to look at me rudely. I then told her my order and she just abruptly said “what size.” I thought she said “what kind” so I repeated it again. She then said “No, size” with attitude. I was then handed the tablet to complete my order and when I was on the tip page, she was STARING. ME. DOWN. I honestly DID NOT want to give her a tip but she was hawk-eyeing my every move on the tablet. Afraid that I might end up getting spit in my coffee, I then proceeded to give her a tip. I asked her kindly if it was “double card punch day” and she said “uh. ya” like I was some kind of idiot. She then went to make my coffee and handed it to me with force without saying a word. As I drove off, guess what...my coffee was not a vanilla latte (just plain latte). I shrugged it off until I noticed that the flavor lasted only 5 seconds and behold: only 90% of the cup was hot milk. Literally only a pinch of caffeine was added to it.Another experience I had was with another teen-young adult. She was very kind, but made my mocha frappe very icy that it was hard to suck out my drink from the straw. I only tasted slushed water and barely tasted any flavoring.Overall, you guys need a make-over on your young staff. They are either rude/arrogant and/or don’t have much training/experience. Your morning staff is amazing and kind. The afternoon staff fail to mirror off their professional image and positive-energy.

The fresh shots of espresso they pulled for my iced americano were very good - great flavor! I think the coffee roaster who supplies them their beans does a great job roasting them to begin with.

Their mocha might be the best one I have ever had...very dark and chocolate-ie without being too sweet! They were also very accommodating to my dairy-avoidance in both food and drink which I appreciate very much. Nice space and friendly, timely service. I will be going back :)

Went in for the first time this morning to meet with a friend. In my opinion, the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. My drink was a 20 oz coffee toffee frap with almond milk and I ordered a maple bar as well. After leaving a $1 tip my total was over $10. Pricey. There was one order ahead of mine and no people in line behind me, but immediately after taking the order in front of me the employee began making their order without a single acknowledgement that I was standing there. I stood at the counter for about 10 minutes waiting to be helped or acknowledged.After I ordered and took a seat on a cozy couch by the faux fireplace an employee brought me my order which was nice. My maple bar was good, but ordinary and my drink was also decent, but not at all what I was expecting as there wasnt a smidge of toffee flavor..One more negative-as we were sitting and chatting was that my friend and I were extremely overcome with the smell of bleach. It was so strong that my friend seemed to be really bothered by it.I wont be going out of my way to return and I wouldnt reccomend them.

This was our first time here and we will be back. The cappuccinos were great; very smooth and not to acidic. The cafe is very clean and the staff was very friendly. I cant wait to come back and try their food items.

Coffee is good, customer service is great. My biggest complaint and reason I will not return is that for the past three weeks, the same day of the week I have ordered the exact same coffee. Each and every time the price is different. Today I paid $7.45 for a 16oz coffee that 3 weeks ago to the day was $5.45. When I mentioned to the barista that the price is going up each time I come in she told me, someone is doing it wrong. Yeah, I figured that out on my own.

Honestly very disappointed. I read the reviews and thought it would be very good considering it was 4/5 stars and it was poor at best. Iced vanilla latte was nasty and tasted watered down. I took my girlfriend whos in from out of town and she got the patriot sandwich. I had some literally disgusting no taste and was just grilled bread and cheap lunch meat Turkey. We went to another coffee shop after because it was that bad. Not gonna return it was a total waste of money.

I work around the corner from here and it has been a regular stop for lunch and coffee. Staff is always amazingly friendly and have always been welcoming to my little who will be 4 this month since he was a baby. Salted Caramel Mochas are delicious and year round and they make their own chocolate covered espresso beans. The Sounder sandwich and the CBR Flatbread are my 2 favorites! Thanks for 6 years of great service!

Coffee is not that good. Bought a regular latte, it came out boiling hot. When it finally cooled down, it tasted like burnt cup of coffee, not a latte. Their pastries taste horrible as well. Not sure if theyre old or what, but bought a berry Danish, and it was not good at all. My friend ordered a drink and was asked twice if he wanted whipping cream, he said no, twice. They brought him the drink with whipping cream. One thing thats cool about the place is that they have chess boards for people to play.

This is a great spot made even more important by the cold blooded murder of four fine police officers. I stopped here often for the great coffee, pastries, and conversation. Im hopeful the shop will reopen and remain a spot for the community to honor the loss of the officers.

My favorite place for a drive-thru breakfast sandwich in the morning, and also a great place to meet and work. Im sitting here now on my laptop getting work done, enjoying a delicious sandwich, and I really appreciate that its nice and quiet (so many coffee shops have LOUD music on all the time!), so I can focus. A go-to coffee shop for me!

A surprise find in an otherwise nondescript warehouse/industrial area off SR512 (Steele St near northeast corner of McChord).Comfortable...much nicer inside than it looks from outside. Nicely prepared coffees (they know what a macchiato is--hint: its not that caramel thing Starbucks serves--and my companion says the iced pour-over cold-brew was very good).Very good sandwiches and appetizers with quality ingredients (we like the Peasant Plate), reasonably priced. Creative selection of breakfast sandwiches.Cheerful, courteous people every time Ive been there (and knowledgeable about coffee without being snobby about it).Good alternative to the Lakewood/South Tacoma Way mess if youre near I-5/SR512... easy to get in or out of.As I said, a surprise well return to often.

Nice location, they serve strong, regular coffee as well as speciality coffees. (Too strong for my tastes) They are willing to add additional flavorings upon request. They dont have much of a selections when it comes to sandwiches or pastries.

Been stopping here for a few years when in the area. It’s a hit and miss every time. Sometimes coffee is right on point and baristas are friendly and detailed oriented. Other times, the staff doesn’t pay attention, gets your order wrong and doesn’t even greet you. Other than owner, I don’t think I have seen the same person twice so a high turnover. Final straw was when asking for an iced latte several times getting it hot, and then dumped into a cup of ice so it tasted luke warm watered down coffee. Gave enough chances and will be taking business elsewhere.

The young sells lady, made me the best frapachinofrappe.....Her name was Rian...,.this is the best coffee shop around, customer service ice is excellent.

I live in Vancouver and I come up to visit family near this place a couple times a year. Soooo good! I was really surprised with how good the food is and how large the portions are. I try something different to drink everytime I stop by and that has yet to disappoint either. I wish they would make a location in Vancouver! 😃

Today this coffee shop is quiet, they have wifi and good coffee. 4 stars due to that when walking in, I asked a staff what the combination was to the toilet before I ordered my coffee. She responded impolitly. Other than that, this is a good place for coffee.

The coffee is always awesome. The food is expensive, but pretty darn good. And the shop is nice to hang out in, its quiet with good wifi, perfect for studying.The one con: they do what most employers do, and keep most of their staff just below part time. Which is lame, but standard.

Waited for a good minute or 2 at thr counyer waitung to order. Painfully slow service and people behind me got their order before I did. Then my sandwich was dropped on the floor and waited even longer... I understand mistakes happen but I was 15min late back to class because of all this. What should have been a quick 10 minute trip turned into nearly 30 minutes.. wont be going back. Coffee was really good however. Only reason i didnt give 1 star.

Very cozy interior. Nice barista. I found their spice chai too be WAY more spicy than I was used to and they were nice enough to remake it as a sweet chai for me which I really appreciated! Their food menu looked very good and more advanced than just your average pastry and frozen breakfast sandwich fare.
