First of all, many would complain about the parking situation and the parking lot.To these folks I have to say, Learn how to drive! Theres one way in and one way out, simple, effective and convinient .The staff are great, theyre very knowledgeable about most things regular people need from a hardware store. For professionals that have complaints, go to your commercial wholesalers and leave our nice store to us normal people.I love shopping here, almost do on a daily basis it seems.Great to have Ace Hardware in our neighborhood.Did I mention I Love shopping here.

If you dont want to go to the big box stores for your hardware needs go here. If youre missing a nut or bolts go there. Easy to find not big crowds. Employees are nice and helpful.

Parking is in the back and a little funky but I can always find a space. Trash cans at the entrance. I come here all the time. For home projects I have found them better stocked than Ganahl. I love the clearance section but recommend staying away from the plastic garden hose supplies. Some of the staff here is from Osh so they know what they’re doing. Super nice and helpful.

Looks like a small store from outside, but its actually surprisingly big.Nice and clean store. Good and efficient staffs.Large parking in rear with excellent separate in/out driveways.

One of the workers there ROBERT that works at the paint area is very rude he rolls his eyes for a question. he responded with what do you WANT but he says it very rudely. and then he has a very bad attitude he also did that to another customer but very rude he helps us with nothing check up on him. very rude then he takes of his mask and then cough in front of a customer. and then a customer said calling corporate then he just was like what ever attitude he is one of the rudest worker from there ever NEVER GOING TO THAT ACE AGAIN!!

Now that theres a Home Depot close by, this is the secret way to shop quickly. They may not have HD selection in all areas, but the overall quality of the items they sell seems to be higher.

This place is ridiculous. First I ordered online. Takes them months to get my order in. Finally get the call that it’s ready . But I can’t get my refund because it’s been over 30 days from the purchase. However the 30 days passed before I got the call that it was ready. Bull💩

Drove 45 minutes to get to that place and they were closed to sanitize the store, thats great BUT pick up the phone when someone calls at least to let them know youre closed till noon! And why not sanitize before you open? This location not good! Poor customer service!

I walked into the Ace Hardware on Sierra Madre in Pasadena to return a few items that were purchased at another location. This was my second time in the store since I moved here. When I walked up to the counter, the cashiers were having a conversation in Spanish. I told her that I had a return and it was purchased at another location.The cashier refused to help me. She proceeded to argue with me.She said she could call the manager and I agreed. He ignored her call on the radio, so we walked over to his office.He was very rude and not helpful. He said I had to go back to the store where the items were purchased. I had receipts for everything. He said that They could not take any returns from any other Ace franchises. Which is complete BS. They are not franchises!! They are co-ops.I proceeded to go to the Ace Hardware in Thousand Oaks later that day. And without even hesitating, the sales rep checked to see if the items were carried in their store. 2 of the 4 items were.He gave me a $21 gift card for the store. The Thousands Oaks location is excellent.I highly recommend that you never shop at the Ace Hardware on Sierra Madre in Pasadena. The parking lot is almost impossible to get in and out of if you want to get aggravated frustrated,Maybe youll shop there. . Otherwise, I would just go to Home Depot or Lowes save your energy and dont waste your time with Ace in .Pasadena

Just left this Ace Hardware store in Pasadena and what awful service. If you are in the public service it’s your duty to help customers and be polite, or at least try to be friendly.I will not support them again it is as though they are doing you a favor when you ask for help.I would rather go to Lowe’s even if it means driving further.The service was awful.

Its a good Ace hardware, but not as wide of a selection as the one in South Pasadena.

One of the staff was so nice (i prefer not to mention her name coz she might get in trouble)! She assisted me in picking spray paints that are selectedly on sale at 2 for $7 so i picked two. However, one of the spray paints i chose was on regular price but she said shell just give it to me at promo price. Thank you!!!

They did an excellent job on black Friday with prices, staff, and stock on hand. Any day I go in they have it together.

Ace Hardware South Pasadena : Great personnel very friendly and what I like about Ace Hardware is that it is a true hardware store. OSH became more to be a cheep home furnishings store with some hardware and plants.As one of the employees that seemed to become more of a personal guide from one item I needed after another told me. They were still stocking the store with more and more items every day. So Im more than happy right now

We went here thinking it was a corporate store it isnt. So its very small and didnt have hardly anything that we wanted. We ended up going to a bigger Ace hardware.

I went in to buy a floor fan and they had exactly the one I wanted. The person who waited on me was very helpful and courteous. I think her name was Kristina. That was the name on the sales slip. I was very happy with my experience at Ace Hardware.

Finally open! Finding the parking lot is a bit challenging on your first visit (Its tucked behind the building via a long driveway on the south side) but well-stocked shelves and helpful staff. They play excellent music over the intercom as well.

Ace is a mid sized hardware store. Not really big like Lowes and Home Depot but not really small like a mom and pop shop.They have one entrance in and one exit. Make sure you turn in the right drive way, it is really small and easy to miss. Small parking lot in the back. Entrance is also in the back.Ordered online for store pick up. Items were stored in the separate building. Seemed like the register staff did not know how to process a pick up. Had to ask 2 different people to finally get my items.

Stopped into Ace Hardware to see what they had to offer, as I had not been to this location. Pleasantly surprised with the way items were arranged and the aisles clear. I was looking for some hand tools and was easily able to find them. Prices seemed consistent and competitive. They have a great selection of barbecue items and accessories. Ran into a friend who was looking for some hard to find screws, and he was able to find them there.Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was in the back of the store. Much better service and selection than the big box stores. I will be back.

They closed the one in Duarte now you have to drive to Pasadena.

Horrible store, joined the club, they send coupons but when you go to the store the items are usually not in stock. Employees are hit and miss depending on the day of the week. I WILL BE SO GLAD WHEN THE HOME DEPOT OPENS DOWN THE STREET.

Too many red shirts not paying attention to what is going on. Out of 5 times to store had good experience only twice. Waiting to check out while manager or some one in office. Special order items they cant find. Etc. Customers first.

Its more crowded since it became the only game in town, pretty much, in regards to hardware stores, since all the OSH stores closed their doors. A Home Depot is supposedly coming in, but wont be ready for a while, so be prepared for longer lines for a while. The parking situation is weird, so you will be putting your maneuvering skills to work, entering and exiting the parking lot. The employees are friendly and helpful, and there are cold drinks towards the front for purchase, which is nice on a hot Pasadena summer day.

Nice people. New store (opened Oct 2017). Went there for one bolt. Got helped and out of there. Cashier was friendly. Nice store, looks like it has a good selection of tools. Tons of nuts and bolts. I like that I can just buy one. They have Craftsman tools. Its a bit tough to get into the parking lot in back, though. Probably easier to approach from the south so you can turn right.

Now that OSH is gone, Ill stop by here to get some things if I dont feel like driving out to Home Depot Monrovia. Prices are a little higher than Id like to pay and parking lot is tiny. Cant wait till they build Home Depot (Pasadena near foothill soon).

The Manager at this ACE Hardware is SO RUDE !!!He was Yelling at the Customers telling us I dont know why You People come into my Parking Area, when I am Closed!!Its hard to find how to enter into the parking area at this establishment but Yelling at Customers is not the way you handle things ...It was my First time going there & My Last, will never shop there👎🏾

I miss the days when there was an Ace Hardware in every town. Theres something comforting about walking into the hometown hardware store and being greeted by the same friendly face year after year. Long gone are those days... Ace is a great place to shop for your basic hardware needs, of course they dont have the huge selection Home Depot or Lowes does but who wants to walk 3 miles and wait in line for 10 minutes when all you need is a box of nails? Ace has fairly competitive pricing on everyday items and great deals on sale items. Employees are always friendly, store is always well organized and items are easy to find. Best part about Ace is the convenience of being right around the corner if youre lucky enough to still have one in your town.

A welcome addition since the closure of Berg Hardware a few years ago. Far better stocked and far better service than the True Value thats closer to home makes it well worth the trip.Their business will only increase once the local OSH stores close.

This was my 1st and last time entering this store. There is a day guy not sure what was his name Robert or whatever that I tried to ask him a question and his response to me was jeeez! Seriously I tried to ask him again Im asking you to help and he respond again what do you need ? With an attitude!! I told him are you having a bad day Ill find someone else to help me, and he turned his back and shouted Whateverrr!! At that point I lost my mind I never saw rude employees treating people this way. Id suggest you guys get rid of this type of employees or you will be soon out of business or without customers. My advice go to Home Depot better prices and better service.

This place has everything you need for quick DIY projects, it is a bit tight in space, but the staff is very friendly and helpful, so that more than makes up for it.

I just went in to get a copy of a key that I’ve gotten copied here before and the guy that was there shot me down so fast. He didn’t even let me talk he was VERY rude.

New store that has entrance in the back. Larger store than it looks from Sierra Madre Blvd. Located between Colorado Blvd. and Walnut Street across from Vons. Helpful staff. Opens relatively late at 9:00 am weekends. Services they provide include screen repair and making keys.

Super helpful staff - especially Raul. Been in here twice with questions about different projects, and both times got great advice on the most efficient way to get it done. No pushy sales pitches, just honest helpful suggestions.
