We only had one actual outage and that was city-wide so not real complaints about that. My issue is that their customer service dept for any other basic issue is useless. We were moving, and so I called to cancel my service - ok no problem after a few transfers they got me to the cancellation person. They dont do partial billing or refunds so I would get stuck paying for service for an additional 2 weeks after we moved. That stinks but OK. Was told I was paid up through XX date and thats when it will officially end - OK sounds good. 2 weeks later I see another charge on my account for the monthly service. Called just to get a quick answer about my exact billing cycle (paperless billing our entire contract, never logged in because I signed up for auto pay on the phone so I literally never got a bill or notice of our actual cycle). The guy on the phone kept repeating himself ok let me get your account pulled up. While I do this how is your day?....little chit chat.....ok Im getting your account pulled up. Im glad youre having a nice day.........ok while I get this pulled up can you tell me again what the issue is..........ok while I get this pulled up I wanted to tell you I hope you keep having a nice day........once I realized this guy literally had no clue what was going on I started creating an online account, logging in, looking up my own bill.....found the answer.....basically told him ok well while you were chatting I found the answer so I guess I dont need your help anymore.....his response OK GREAT IM GLAD I COULD BE OF SERVICE......he didnt even help me. So, if you can at all avoid calling then do so. They wont help you anyways....even for the most basic questions.

Should be sued for false advertising. Fast and reliable are not qualities that their service ever provides. They should just shut down and allow a company that knows how to provide internet to the public. An embarrassment to technology.

Terrible service numerous outages almost every day if it works 50 minutes out of the hour I feel lucky. Sadlynim in a older part of town and have no other options. Of there is rain or some hive it up its gonna be spotty at best.

On 11/27/20 I scheduled service installation for 12/4/20. As a new customer, I was promised free installation as a promo. The installation fee was not waived on my first bill, so I was told to just go ahead and pay the bill so my service wouldn’t be shut off and that it would be credited to my account. The next billing cycle that did not happen. I spoke to someone with customer service who told me that only the salesperson who set up my service could do it. I contacted him and he said he had told his manager about it and would follow up with him. He has since ghosted me. I finally spoke to a supervisor after being on hold for one hour and she told me that she would put a note on my account that there should be a credit applied to my next bill, since it was too late to fix the current bill. Once again that did not happen, so I filed a complaint with the BBB for the first time in my life. Despite that, Suddenlink is still refusing to honor what was promised for being a new customer. I even submitted a screenshot of a text from the salesperson stating that the fee would be removed from my first bill. I just want them to show some integrity and do what they said they would do. I’ve been getting the runaround for far too long. If Suddenlink wasn’t my only option for internet right now, I would absolutely cancel my service.

Y’all I can’t even express how frustrated I am with Suddenlink. Service barely works if at all and good luck talking to someone you understand and they understand you. They instructed me to go to my local branch because they couldn’t understand me. Low and behold the store isn’t in Payson anymore? But on google it says it is and open?

My internet goes out at least once a month for 1-2 days, and has gone out every day for the past week. They just tell me to restart my router, as though I have not done that for the past year working with them. They will offer to send someone out to check but if it is not a hardware problem, they charge me a months worth of bills for the service check. Useless service.

I’ve had suddenlink for about a year now and from the start it was spotty. Last 3 months the internet will completely go out for 5 minutes or so every couple hours and sometimes it’s longer with shorter increments. I’ve called multiple times and they come out and “fix” the issue but it only works for maybe a week or two max. It’s been the most frustrating internet experience I’ve ever had.

Trying to shut down my service and it is a pain in the you know what! They sent me an email that said I needed to return the modem I purchased at the beginning of the service contract. I called to request another email correcting that, and they tell me they cannot send it. They tell me not to worry about it and to disregard the email, but I have been burned by that in the past by other internet service providers - you dont return it, and they send you to collections. Now I have to go to the suddenlink store and ask them to give me something in writing that I do not need to return the modem. If there is any other ISP you can use, use them! I never once reached the speed I was paying for. Terrible company.

The day I ordered service I signed up for Auto Pay. My first bill was due 5 weeks later. They never charged my credit card until 2 weeks after the first bill was due. They charged me a restore service fee of $10. I called in with the billing dispute (customer service has broken English) and was told Auto Pay takes up to 2 billing cycles, but I never received a bill by mail or email. They said I had to go into my account to check the bill, I said I cant set up an online account until I get my 4 digit code from them either by email or mail. Even though I previously set up Auto Pay online it didnt mean I had an online account. Total clown car over there. They said they were unable to provide a credit. My suggestion is anyone who has billing issues with this company to dispute any charges with their credit card company when they havent properly billed you for it. Good luck

Many times I have had problems with my bills such as:#1. Sometimes you wont get a bill at all. Even if you request another one be sent. Same goes for reqested copies of payment histories, etc., (like I needed when my computer died). They kept telling me Id have to go to their local store for that. Only problem was, they closed the local branch. And when you tell them so, they say they understand your frustration, and apologize because thats all they can suggest. There is nothing they can do from their end.#2. Getting shut off/Contradictions between bills, receipts, automated phone system, and customer service a MAJOR issue, where upon, if I didnt want to be disconnected, I had no choice but to just pay them what they said each time. It never seemed to matter that I had receipts, names, dates, and notes on each conversation I had with customer service, to back up what I was saying. They just wouldnt admit to being wrong. If I said I paid the bill in full last time, through the automated phone payment service, theyd say I didnt pay it in full. Even though it was their automated teller that told me how much it was to pay in full. But, mysteriously, the amount they say is on their screen currently, is somehow always higher than what I paid. So theyre gonna need more $ in order to reestablish my service. Theyre very good at confusing you enough, to where you stop arguing and just pay them. Unfortunately, this is a small town and theyre the only option.

Literally the worst company ever and I have nothing positive to say. We pay for 150mg and receive 30 when we do our at home tests. They are impossible to get a hold of. You have to choose add new service to get someone on the line. No one is helpful once you speak to someone and then they feed you lies. We were told we would be credited back for services not received. We were never credited back. Any time you ask to speak to a manager they say they will call you in two hours. If you want to pay and receive bottom of the barrel internet.. go with them. I honestly don’t know how they are still in business. A complete scam. Dropping them today.

This is the worst company every they lied to me 2 times. Said they would be here to install service the first guy said it was too far from the power box and so i called in they said they would have it fixed i got another appointment for today no one showed up i called they said it was cancelled I called back and some guy said they could not service me but all of my neighbors have sudden link i live in the middle of town - So he tried to sell me a Altice cell phone- I am on the phone again with a rep he is scheduling another appointment... I would give them NO STAR but i had to pick one to post this

I moved and no longer needed Suddenlink and as the local office has been closed up since Covid, there is no way to get a hold of anyone locally. Was on hold on the phone for 2 hours, got someone who said they were putting the disconnect order in, was put on hold another 45 minutes and they finally hung up. No instructions given where/how to return modem, no email or call ever received, and am now being billed for unreturned equipment and cant get a hold of anyone on the phone. Terrible company, terrible service.

I was alerted by my husbandsPhone that our Internet Sudenlink was shut off for lack of payment! I went I called and when your agent answered she and i were on yourWebsite! $153.00 owed! I gave here my discover card and she assured me it would be up and running! Not! The next day I call to after an hour to get a agent! I give all the data of me, and she can’t help me! I have to transfer to another Dept! I’m cut off! I have to call and wait again for an agent!!! After 5 Agents I finally got a agent who offered to take my deceased husband account off closed! I opened a account in my name now! I paid the $89.00 fee not the $35.00 fee for a new account! She told me that my appointment was on Monday morning, Aug 17, from 9 to 12! Never heard from anyone! Can anyone at your company help me!

AWFUL! I have been waiting 8 weeks for service. No one can tell me where my request stands. They wont give out telephone #s, so you have to talk to someone new every time. I was just hung up on after 1 hour 17 minutes. I truly dont know how they stay in business. Do not use Suddenlink if you have another option.

I have had numerous cable and internet companies over the years, as well as dealings with other companies. Some of them have been bad, some reasonably better. This is the worst company of any kind I have ever dealt with. Not just utilities, you are the worst. Congratulations, Horrible customer service, horrible support, horrible value, I will accept less speed on my internet, less channels on my cable if necessary, but I will never darken the doors of suddenlink/altice mobile again. They also just raised my rates $15 a month, right after I was without internet for two whole weeks, and after months of the worst service I have ever experienced. Everytime they transfer me to cancelation department and then Im on hold for various amounts of time only to be disconnected by them. Im convinced they will not allow me to cancel. Used suddenlink for 10 years. Have never recieved service this bad from any company. Several weeks prior to our move to our new home, we made all the necessary arrangements for a new internet line etc. with SuddenLink. Theyve made 4 appointments with us to drop in a new line from the street to the house. Thats 4 appointments with 4 No Shows by SuddenLink!! Each time we called to understand why they didnt show up, their customer service AND their technical support staff assure us that somebody will come and drop the new line the next day....well, NOTHING so far. They even proceeded to tell me that after 3 missed appointments by them, they then consider our case as Urgent. Well, Im on my 5th right now and still no show!! Incidentally, I had escalated to their supervisor who told me that she could not contact anybody internally by phone to resolve our issue, only emails...seriously?? Their outsourced customer service is ill equipped and frankly deplorable. Actually, Im on the call with them right now and theyre telling me that theyve not had any appointments with them at all...Wow!!! THEY are the ones whove been setting our appointments and weve stayed at home waiting for them so how is it that now we didnt have any previous appointments with them?

It’s time that people organize and place a formal complaint to the city, it’s not fair that we pay full price and yet we get less then half of service in return. If this problem continues I will have to try another company.

I called in spoke to a agent in Aug to add the Red Zone. Just got my new bill they billed me 60.00 for one channel. Tried calling on the 1st of Oct, auto response keep telling me that my acc# was wrong, My phone # was wrong. finally got a human on there chat service she cxld the red zone, told me my phone and acc#s were correct, could not correct my bill. it went from 75.96 to 195.00 there service sucks. they need to open up a store in az.

Horrible customer service. On hold for more than 30 minutes and then disconnected several times. They ask for a return call number and never return the call. Cannot chat online via website and your problems never get resolved. I have a late fee on my account when Im on AUTO PAY! Cannot speak to a HUMAN and its very frustrating. After 2 hours I finally received a call back regarding my late fee. It was from a call center in INDIA! Could not understand the broken English from the Suddenlink subcontractor that is performing billing duties in a foreign call center. I asked to be transferred to an office in the USA and they refused. Huge waste of time. For best results, I suggest walking into a local office and demanding results. Or better yet, avoid this company at all costs.

Extremely disappointed with this company. Even when a technician is scheduled to fix an issue the appointment time is from 10am-8pm so good luck trying to fit that in your schedule. I called a week before I moved into my apartment to set up a time to install my Wifi. My only choices with this apartment complex were Sudden Link, or Century Link, and Century Link would not be able to set up Wifi until August 31st, which wasnt an option for me. I had to call three different times in one day to set up my initial appointment. Then, my apartment number changed last minute, and I was unable to call Sudden Link until my move-in day. I was on the phone with them for an hour, and I had to repeat my new apartment number 15 times for them to finally write it down. I waited for a technician to show up on August 11th, and nobody showed up, because they never changed my apartment number. I was only able to get a hold of somebody until after my appointment slot, and I told them that I needed my Wifi set up as soon as possible, since I had online classes starting the next day. They initially set up a new appointment for the next day, but when I called during that time slot to check on my technicians status, they said my appointment was set up for Friday, August 14th, and that it was still at the old apartment number I had initially given them. I was told to call the next day, today, to fix my apartment number since the person I was talking to was unable to do it. I had never been told before that I had to talk to a specific department to change my apartment number, and they never transferred me over to who I needed to talk to. When I called today, I was once again on the phone for over an hour, and I was transferred six times, when they finally told me that to change my apartment number, I would have to cancel my account, and then start up a new one. I was never even given an account number when I first set up the appointment. Now, I am stuck in my hometown, unable to live in my apartment because I have no internet access to do my online classes. I decided to go with Century Link instead, because at least I know they are reliable. Do not get Sudden Link, it is a waste of time and money, and I hope I will be able to get my money back.

Very unreliable internet, ill-informed customer service staff with very few tools to assist customers. It takes a minimum of five minutes to navigate their poorly constructed phone tree if you need to get in the queue to speak with an agent. Wait times for agents vary greatly and it is never worth the wait. If you can find a different supplier of internet, I highly recommend you choose anybody other than these uncoordinated, inefficient, uncaring, inept clowns.

VERY HARD TO DEAL WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE, They have never been able to help me in the office with ANY customer service problems. The only thing they were able to do in the office is rent me a cable modem after they said mine was outdated and shut it off, Even though it worked fine for the previous 5 years. I have real unlimited Internet on my phone that i was grandfathered into years ago, l can stream to my TV, I will be dropping Suddenlink internet.

Suddenlink tore up the street and didnt put it back properly. My driveway, walkway covered in 2in. of mud...my my flower bed.. filled with granite. Flooded up against my house. Washed my garden away. I called the city, suddSudden fixed the street. Said they would assess the damage within 48 hrs. 2 weeks now they wont return my calls. Never been a costumer NEVER will.

We were having issues with our wifi so I went into the office to see if we could get it fixed. Wendy was very knowledgeable and super friendly. She resolved our issue really quickly. I will always go to her line and not the other lady in the office. She has always been really rude and I will wait in line for Wendy no matter how long it takes.

After having nothing but frustrations with Century Link I signed up with SuddenLink. It was a little more expensive but 100% worth it. A nice and helpful installer came out to the house and installed a new line, and the service has been perfect. The bills are itemized and transparent (no hidden charges). And everyone I have spoken with on the phone has been located in America and speaks English.

This is absolutely the WORST company with whom I have ever dealt!! They farm out their customer service to a foreign country so language is always a problem. Twice I called and set up appointments to have a technician deal with problems I was having with Internet service. In both instances the technician failed to show AND I was charged for the service call!! DEPLORABLE!! I have just spent over two hours with Customer DISERVICE trying to rectify a billing question. After having three of my phone calls dropped by the various CSRs I am at my wits end. If you have any options DO NOT use this company!!!! After scheduling 2 appointments for their tech to install cable and the tech shows up outside their given window without a notice or phone call, I spent over 7 hours, YES 7 hours on hold, being disconnected just trying to get my account cancelled and money refunded.there is no customer service, no apologies, no commitment to making it right. A few months later, today, I find out that the service was never shut off because the lady in the office never put in for it to be shut off. So now there is an outstanding bill.

When I call the phone number there is absolutely NO way to get ahold of a person. It is all automated, and if you need something that isnt on their list, such as having the man who installed the system return and finish the job he didnt finish when I moved in, I have to get into the car and drive down there, wait in line, which with only 1 person working in the office can take some time, to ask them to get someone out here.

The young lady working was very nice. But there were at least 3 people with great problems that were very hard for her. 1. Question on billing for an elderly client, he was very unhappy, 2 another problem due to service charge, 3 lsst one gentlemen recieved a device like Siri that he did not order, got it by mail. I am gravely disappointed in Suddenlink: however Suddenlink and Centurylink (your only other option in some areas) operate on the same IT backbone. So, if one is out, the other one is too. Outages in Payson are 3-5 times per week for just a few minutes to many hours. A simple Google search of Suddenlink outages will result in a bunch of big red splotches over large parts of the country, that never go away. Go ahead, check it out over the timeframe of a week or so. Data rate is sometimes as advertised and sometimes as low as 2-3 KB/s. For those old enough to remember 2-3K is dial up speed from the mid to late 90s. The branch office in Payson has some crazy lunch hours. Sometimes one hour, sometimes two hours. This block of time can range from 11a.m. to 3 p.m. So basically, for a 1-2 hour block of time from 11-3 the office is closed. In their defense, the two ladies I usually see there are going a hundred m.p.h. when they are working. That combined with irate customers, probably wears on a person. I have spent a total of maybe 3 hours in the Payson office over the last year. Most of it for initial setup and such. Ive personally witnessed two steaming mad customers come in and just lose it. (One was an elderly man wearing a cowboy hat, boots, buckle and such,which was quite amusing). Funny thing, i was deployed in Kuwait about a year ago, and the internet there in most cases is incredible. It blows my mind that Nepalese migrant workers living in shanty towns outside Kuwait city have faster, more reliable internet capability than i do in Payson. Time to make my phone a hotspot and dump Suddenlink.

Unfortunately every time I come into this office the customer service was very rude and short. Perhaps they have changed people since, I dont know, but that was the experience.I was a customer of suddenlink before they were bought out by a European company, ever since being purchased, the customer service has gone completely downhill and is unhelpful in most cases.9 times out of 10 they will tell you their hands are tied and they dont have the power to do anything.Customer service for the old company before being purchased out, was polite friendly and responsive.Ive had several occasions where my bill pricing has changed without notice either due to a rate change without prior notification for an error in the system where it changed my rates when it shouldnt have.What has me more upset with suddenlink is the fact at no time was I ever asked for permission or told that a hard inquiry Credit check would be run on my credit.I have good credit, but thats only because I take it very seriously hence the reason Im upset at the fact they did this without informing me or asking my permission.I found this particularly annoying considering the fact I had an account with them previously and was in good standing and had a good payment history with the company.I will be following up with the credit bureau and calling suddenlink to try and get this resolved and removed.

Constant disconnects. Cant play a game, make a phone call, or even simply load a web page. Turns to unusable garbage at peak hours. Need more companies in town so we can all drop SuddenSTINK.

They have the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. This has devolved over the past 2 years. I was able to speak with someone in the Payson, AZ office about my business account and no they are not able to help you and instead send you to the phone number where it takes an act of God to speak with a human. My service both internet and phone has gone down several times over the past 6 months and it is not my equipment. Today we have no phones. Hard to operate a business when they do not function. I do not recommend them. I am going to call another company today because Suddenlink has caused me $$$$ since I cannot operate my business in this manner.

I have been having a difficult time with my internet..... I have called numerous times and on a few of them I have been hung up on.... I went into my local store in payson and they switched out my equipment. Well, Im still having the same problems.... Im not happy and neither are my kids...

We have had a terrible experience with suddenlink. we have never had a strong signal with our Internet and television. We have had to wait days for a service rep to come take care of our television they keep putting it off to the next persons Nothing gets resolved But the bills keep coming

I have been having internet issues for the past several weeks and attributed the problem to the weather. Others in my town have had the same issues. When I went to the local Suddenlink office in Payson the person I spoke with was rude and told me I probably needed a new modem which I should rent from them. She also said she does not pay attention to online reviews or comments about Suddenlink service. That is not customer service if you do not care what your customers think about your service. I then called the main number for technical support and they could see I was losing packets of data going in and out so they are going to have a technician contact me. The agent was professional and knowledgeable. She told me it may take 1 week for a technician to be able to help me. I am unhappy with Suddenlink right now because of the current problems and the unprofessional attitude in the local office. The helpdesk was great so if you have problems just call the main number and ask for technical support.

They are a monopoly here if you want to bundle phone, internet, and tv. They dont care about the Customer and will try every way in the world including holding payments so they can bill extra for late fees. Checks cashed in 2 days in November and held 6 days in December so they could charge a $10 late fee. No one in the Company can reverse late fees so they say. The techs are great in my experience but this is an awful Company to do business with but we have no other option. Too bad greed is more important than good customer relations. Read all the posts on this blog, facebook, and yelp and you will see what they are really like. By the way where is the call I was promised?????

Yesterday I was so angry! The automated phone system they have is insanely against a customer talking to a cust service rep... I was so angry I emailed the Executive Vice President - and OH MY GOSH! Someone called me and took time to listen to all my complaints and woes and boo hoos - and then he went about fixing EVERYTHING! I was completely shocked at how thorough he was and asking questions and even little trivial things he made me feel my complaints were legit... I just cant get over how important I feel now - I feel like a valued customer - I still hate hate hate the automated phone system - but dang - Im valued and thats most important!

We have been with CenturyLink for over 20 years and our bill went up so we were researching other options. The other reviews on here, in Payson and on Facebook had been unfavorable for Suddenlink, but we decided to go in and give the employees at the store the benefit of the doubt. Well, it appears that the opinions of others was correct. We were asking questions and the lady had a rude condescending demeanor. At the end she must have realized what she was doing because she tried to make up for it. I was done there is no way I want to be treated like Im not important and a bother and that my business isnt wanted. I called CenturyLink and they were friendly and willingly negotiated account so that I could afford to stay with them. I would not recommend Suddenlink based on customer service at the store location.

We went in the local suddenlink here in our town and the young man that was working the counter was very rude and disrespectful to everyone who was returning equipment. It was just the worst service I have ever experienced. He was mouthy and talking rudely to us and other customers. We will not be returning there to do anymore business with him or Suddenlink.

The 2 ladies at the front desk are just horrible people. A customer walked out as I walked in. They just started talking s### about him. I tried getting Internet at my new place and the lady refused to help me and told me I have to wait 8 weeks in back log. She didnt even let me talk at all. Wow. Horrible girls.
