My son and I have been going to modern optometry for a few years now. The staff is very friendly and helpful from the moment you walk in. They are patient and understanding with my son and his anxiety about eye exams. The doctors take the time to explain everything to you and make you have the right prescription before you leave. The ladies who handle the glasses are very helpful and offer suggestions for the perfect glasses! Prices are affordable. I would definitely recommend 10 out if 10!

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyone is great at their jobs. Dr. Vera is wonderful with helping to improve vision and give information about how our eyes work. Great selection of frames, and Jason is great with helping to pick everything to get you happy with your eyeglass needs. I love the place.

Today, Wednesday, August 25, 2021 was my first visit. As I opened the door, I felt a comforting spirit of an invitation into a home but its a business. The staff all greeted me with smiles. I sensed they all genuinely cared about their patients. The telephones that came into the office were handled patiently and pleasantly by all of the staff. My wait was short and offered something to drink. This was never a service offered in my experience until today. I struggled prior too my arrival but I was quickly put at ease and assisted with dignity and honor.My experience today, is one I will never forget and will treasure the rest of my life. Modern Optometrys new location is awesome! The practice and Dr. Verna have always been top notch, and the new location only enhances a patients experience. I always feel very positive when I am there because Dr. Verna and her team are always very thorough and and go above and beyond to answer all questions. And no drops, which I add because two people recently told me that their eye doctor has never given them an option of having a picture taken over drops, which is crazy! I gave them five stars only because you couldnt give anymore. Highly recommend!

Modern Optometry is the best eye doctor I have ever had. I called in with an eye emergency and they brought me in right away despite being booked solid. I didnt have to wait long and the doctor took great care of me. She also told me to always call her even after-hours with an emergency.

I was happy to find out through my new insurance that there was an optometrist within walking distance from my house. They have been there for 2 months. Went to Modern Optometry today for new prescription sunglasses ..was at the Rhawn Street location in November for new everyday specs... the new location is beautiful, spacious with many different frames to choose from. Everyone there was so nice and really helpful...was able to pick a frame and have everything done in about a half an hour...and I was able to make the appointment and be seen in less than 24 hours...highly recommend !!

Everyone at this office is so kind. I was greeted by everyone upon arrival. The woman who checked me in was so sweet and offered me a bottle of water from the refrigerator. The woman who measured and took pictures of my eyes explained the whole process and was kind and patient. The doctor reviewed my tests with me. She was so cheerful and explained the process fully. I was prescribed my first pair of glasses and the woman at the front desk was patient and helped me with choosing my frames. She helped me make a selection of the best lenses for my day to day routine and I was then walked through all aspects of my charges. I’m very pleased with my visit and highly recommend this office for your vision needs!

I can’t say enough good things about this office. First, Dr. Verna is an amazing, thorough, caring provider. She takes her time, you never feel rushed or like you are bothering her and she has the knowledge required for complicated situations. She is readily available if you have a problem. They check for all eye diseases yearly. The office staff (especially Brenda, love her!!, ) is super friendly and efficient. They work with you to make appointments and send text reminders so you won’t forget. They run on time. They have a nice selection of frames, and an online option to virtual try on some too. They have to send your glasses out but their lab is great and the glasses come back problem free, if they don’t, the office will make sure it gets fixed. I’ll tell you this, My insurance doesn’t cover me at 100 percent here but I will NEVER go anywhere else to care for my eyes, I’ll pay extra to come here and know my Dr. genuinely cares about me. Also, as a side note, they are taking all necessary precautions, above and beyond, for COVID inside their office, and I feel safe going there. You can go to the big box, buy one get one free etc. place, and it might be less expensive, but it’s missing the personal individualized attention that you get by going here.

The office was very professional. Unfortunately after receiving eye drops for one of the test to check my vision, my vision was so blurry I felt very uncomfortable driving home. I had to call my boyfriend to pick me up.

Ive been wearing glasses for over 20 years now and have been to optometrist in New York and Philadelphia for years. I appreciated how clean the office was. The staff was professional and courteous. There was no wait time when I went and I felt safe given covid-19 because they dont schedule hundreds of appointments at ones. The doctor was GREAT and the examination was quick. That was all the good. The bad was the price. I was quoted $299 for ONE pair of non-designer stock glasses with anti-glare and transitions. Without transitions it would of been $209. This is a great place for customers with deep pockets but Im going to stick with Eye Encounters that has a deal of $79 for TWO pairs of glasses and the examination. I prefer to support small businesses but when the cost of one pair of glasses is more than double what I would pay for two, I dont really have much of a choice.

I’ve been going to this location for the last 7 years. I go for my yearly follow up post lasik and I’m always treated quickly and made to feel important. Dr Verna is always efficient and takes the time to answer any questions or concerns i may have.

They were super clean and made me feel comfortable! They didn’t pressure me into buying glasses or contacts and were really patient when showing me how to use my contacts! So far the absolute best optometrist I’ve ever been to!
