My family and I came to Phila Gun and Archery for my birthday. Everyone had an awesome time and the trainers and staff were so awesome patient and knowledgeable. We definitely plan to return. I just want to say thank you for allowing us to come in and showing us a great time. You guys were awesome!!

Awesome staff. If you are purchasing a gun and have little experience or need a refresher, sign up for the training to understand your firearm. Gino, one of the trainers, was great. He was very patient, and extremely knowledgeable. I am satisfied with my purchase and even happier that I got my money’s worth with the training. If you don’t have a significant level of comfort with your gun, make the investment and take the classes. Everyone here is helpful. You won’t regret it.

Well, if you do not aplicate laws in your own association and make up your own, you might be needed to be audited and be brought under investigation of unlawful and mismanagement. Plus there should be an investigation towards you and the sheriff county, investigating if there är further misuse of laws.

Awful staff here they knew there was a 2 hour wait on background checks. However refuse to let the customers know before paying the 75 dallor fee. In ways to make more money off the customers. We as customers should know that there is a waiting period before filling out the application and paying the fee? Most people are not able to come back; nor live close to the store. We are bringing out business to the store. So we should recieve all the information needed before making the selection and paying any fee. Some staff was rude and some were nice? Overall I think many was very unprofessional and should remember how the put the customers first. All of the customers not just certain ones.

Small selection of firearms & the staff was kinda rude. He didnt answer my questions & talked among themselves while we were doing business...I will never go back there and spend my money. ...they also kept asking who Im buying the gun for😳.. myself.. I dont like this place

Ive been going here ever since I got into firearms. Ever since the beginning of this pandemic I feel like the lack of customer service has gone WAY down! I brought a upper receiver in to get the barrel nut off and the gunsmith basically wouldnt do because he said the handguard was too small(7.5 barrel w can - w a 7 in handguard) but they had ar pistols on the wall with the SAME way I was trying to build mine. So I asked again why he couldnt do it . He said its not safe and the handguard would get hot. I couldve argued him knowing thats what the gas block and tube is in place for but I just took my things and left. If your black just deal with Tom Dixon at Surplus Armé. Way better service way more options. Just an all around better experience. I hope this review helps others from making a bad decision dealing with former cops that dont really like us.

200$ deposit And then they make you wait a few weeks after giving you 2 hour timeline then pay the rest to pick up the gun of course they said we couldn’t get a refund after the extended long wait time they lied about

Shady Business They lie and say it’s a background check for three hours and then don’t call you back for up to three weeks after you already put a deposit down for the weapon

Should have listened to the horrible reviews. only one staff member bothered to help me. then they would not sell to me but could not provide a valid reason. do not spend your money here

3 hours check turns to 3 weeks, stay away if your not ready to wait a while to pick up they will take funds the same day

This place is awful and very judge mental they will judge you right at the door by you outer appearance especially your race they look for all means of denying you if you don’t fit the criteria of a person they deem a decent citizen

A lot of the negative reviews listed seem to be true based on my visit today. I went in to purchase a firearm with my spouse and before I could even get inside, I was interrogated by the front door. I was told we could not go inside together because I had given her advice on which firearm would be a good fit for her and according to that employee that constitutes a straw purchase. Little did this “expert” know I have been practicing law for the last 12 years. I am very knowledgeable on local gun laws and nowhere does it state giving one advice when purchasing a firearm is against the law. Overall I’d stay clear of this place and they’re shady tactics, as I’ve also heard they also discriminate against people of color.

This is my first time going to this shop and I would say the stuff are great people while I didnt get the gun I was looking for they still help me out and I got something little bit better and I wait to go to gun range and shoot it

These guys are always cool and helpful. They are never rude or anything and they arent handholders unless you ask them specifically. At that point they will hold your hand and help you because they are a business who takes customer service serious but not on a scripted corporate type of way. Great shop and cannot say a bad word about them. They are all good guys(and girls) who work there and selection as well as prices are very decent. Highly recommended.

Ive been a member here in the past, and now Im an Act 235 class graduate. The staff is always friendly and very firm when it comes to safety. The teaching methods of Act 235 Instructor M. Hall are refreshing. He teaches about the real world, while using real world language, for real world agents. His high success rate proves that his methods work very well. The additional financial benefits that are offered to Act 235 graduates from the club cant be matched by other class locations.

Nice selection, just make sure you deal with anyone but the owner. At least I think he’s the owner. Short bald guy. Really pretentious and demeaning, especially towards women. Probably because he looks like a toad.

They were REALLY weird about buying a magazine because they said I “looked too young” then after the whole store (who I THOUGHT were all customers but looking at it now they’re prob friends) stared at me then they told me no although my ID checked out? I will NEVER give these people a penny, complete waste of time.

I went with my friend and my husband three months ago with the intent for each of us to purchase a gun, plenty of money in hand! Because my husband made a slight typo on his application they denied him the ability to fill out another application and run his background. THEN when it was my turn I asked to see a handgun and they immedietly asked me to leave the store VERY LOUDLY, in front of other customers, because according to them its the same gun that my Husband was looking at. It was then that a female worker vouched for me and told the men that our intention was to each buy a gun when we first spoke with her while waiting, so then they told me Ican buy any gun just not THAT gun. Because I had already waited so long and all other nearby places had little to no inventory I said fine. I ended up with a really nice SIG which I do love but later found out just how overpriced it was. Both my friend and I made a purchase in which they definetly jacked up the prices on us. But its ok...I found an amazing gun store and range in the suburbs and now both my husband and I are members of! and yes he now legally owns three guns and I own two. They lost our future business for being so rude and condesending. I will say that the shorter guy and the blonde and asian female were quite nice which is why I gave two stars, But the tall man, Dave I think is his name, you sir need a class in customer service, dont let all that lead get to your head. You are not above anyone else! You lost your store a TON of business from us plus all the refferals we now send elsewhere. Practice a little kindness, not everyone is a thug or looking to get one over you.

Horrible customer service. Felt very prejudice. I would give Zero stars if could. In front of a crowded store of Majority White customers, the owner denied my purchase of a firearm AFTER i passed the background check because he said he felt i was too small for the firearm I chose. I even presented my Business LLC and EIN to prove at the time i was a business owner and the firearm was for my business. As i was leaving the short bald owner said you people are always complaining. Maybe im complaining because youre a bigot and little bully.

Ive been a member of the club for years as well as a customer. Always great customer service and pleasant staff with emphasis on firearms safety and training.

My experience at PTA was Amazing! Theyre professional and knowledgeable about firearms and firearm safety which is what I really appreciated. Ladies you should not feel intimidated about this process because PYA will walk you through every step. John worked with me, he answered my questions and provided great support at the range. Im so happy that I chose PYA!!

Completely unprofessional, overpriced, cocky, rude, and extremely unaware of current guns laws and regulations. They also use shady tactics to up sell inexperienced customers. It’s sad because they actually have a nice shop. But their prices, lack of knowledge and sarcastic cocky ness and lack of knowledge just makes you literally not want to support their business.I had a casual conversation with one of the employees. The larger fellow with a beard and glasses. He was not only misinformed on several state and federal gun laws but it actually hindered my transaction with them. I pulled up the actual law and tried to should him but was met with cocky responses and rude behavior. When I professionally asked for a manager another co worker claimed the position and back him up on the misinformation. When I got home I contacted my lawyer to double check to see if maybe I was mistaken and Not only was I right about that but also on the several federal laws that were mentioned during the casual convo. While there I also witness a first time buyer there with a friend who apparently had a concealed handgun permit and knowledge of firearms arms. I’m guessing he offered to come along to help him pick the right one for him and not get ripped off. Well as soon as the employee realized this, he told the experienced friend that it would be considered a straw purchase if he gave him advice. Even when the friend made a scene and showed his permit and stated he could purchase it himself which removes the claim of a straw purchase, he made him go to the corner of the store and basically sit in the corner. And when left alone with the inexperienced buyer he then proceeded to begin selling him on a more expensive and poorer quality choice. NOT WORTH THE MONEY in my opinion. Your better ordering online or gun broker and having it sent to that little shop on Delaware ave for the ffl.
