Beautiful addition to the Main Line. My mom & I visited the new Ardmore location recently because we were looking for high-end Japanese tea. The owners were very nice & helpful. Yes, some prices may be high but thats because the quality is superb. Will definitely be coming back to snag some pretty home goods.
Really unique products and a friendly staff. A real gem
I was very excited to finally have a Rikumo item gifted to me. I use to love walking in an enjoying the experience but their products and their customer service did not live up to the expectation. The towel did not survive its first wash (followed directions exactly) and then customer service did not work with me to correct the situation.
Okay, Ill admit that I fundamentally dont understand their obsession with charcoal -- even after visiting Japan myself. That said, I appreciate their minimalist presentation of their wares and I thought that the good offered were of decent quality. Honestly, I think of it as a very expensive, holistic Japanophile store.
A calm, relaxing shopping environment in-store. Also an easy experience shopping online - each with amazing customer service.
A special shopping experience. I always feel relaxed in this store. On my most recent visit, I got a charcoal eye mask and some textile gifts for hosts/guests. I highly recommend this place.
Great customer service and knowledgeable staff. Prices are slightly high but items are high quality
Went to browse..left with over $100 worth of merch. Variety of high quality items from Japan, everything from bath towels to green teas. You should check it out!
Beautiful objects. So glad this is in Philly.
Amazing retail space, atmosphere, and product curation!
Really nice store with great service!
Cute, friendly, helpful experienceBought some Christmas gifts here! However expensive, but understably why
Very stylish shop. And very interesting products. A bit overpriced though.
We were greeted very warmly here, and allowed to sample tea. This is a lovely shop
Beautiful store and housewares, unfortunately i did not feel very welcome as a person of color.
A well curated selection of seductive Japanese craft. Prices exorbitant but worth it.
Interesting mix of gifts and home goods sourced from Japan. Wide range of price points - from a 9$ industrial strength scrubbie for my cast iron pot, to artisinally woven blankets costing several hundred. My only complaint is that many items arent marked with prices which is a hassle and a turn off. The items are beautiful, unusual and understated and I got several items for my kitchen which Ive enjoyed.
Cute merchandise and friendly staff.
Absolutely love the merchandise and the friendly staff
Authentic Japanese stoneware, tea cups, and accessories. Several childrens items, and a few design centric items. Minimalist.
I called the store today, which is a Tuesday there not open, but a very nice gentleman answered the phone and helped me with my order for a Iwachu tea kettle and trivet, its a wedding gift and I need it by this Saturday so he processed my order right away and I already received a shipping notification for UPS 2nd day air, I couldnt be happier with my experience, I will definitely be shopping here in the near future !!
Excellent quality products, environmentally friendly, beautifully designed courteous, efficient staff
Really beautiful items, mostly decorative objects, but some housewares as well. Its pricey.
You will want to buy everything here. Ive also been offered hot tea while I shop more than once
I ordered an expensive luxurious large bath towel from their online website. I specified to ship it with a certain carrier. And I paid much more for shipping. However they shipped it with a different carrier USP. Yes the post office.
