Dont expect to have people help you find things here. The young woman up front checked me out and was very nice. The manager Mike is unwilling to work with customers and told me they no longer sold Avery Thermal labels. Guess who just bought them at Staples. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT MIKE
It is convenient to have an office supply store in the city. We probably go here more for UPS drop offs than for actual supplies.
If you actually need something printed out professionally I would not bother coming to this location. The staff is incompetent and the sloppy blonde that waited on me was just so burdened by the fact that I didn’t want to use the self serves option. Even after I explain to her that this was a PDF that I wanted turned into a book and unusual size patterns that I need printed. She was so rude and antsy to get me off her plate. She didn’t wait for email to load she just kept saying that email she hadn’t got the email even though it was a large PDF. So it was taking longer than the average file. I asked if there was any in store options because I didn’t wanna have to go to my house and come back she said basically no and I would have to go home download the file and put the order in online.
Mike was awesome!! Help me print 200 pages without a problem
I have been coming to this location to print labels for my business for a few months now and all the staff members have always been courteous and helpful EXCEPT for the Manager JIM!!!!! I dont know how managerial positions are given but he does NOT fit the criteria at all!
Nice selection of stuff. The staff is friendly when you can find them.
I experienced a bit of a debacle with ordering a rug which then had to be returned. Long story short I was supposed to return via Fedex using the label provided. However, the rug did not have any return packaging. Fedex upon seeing my predicament was not particularly helpful and directed me elsewhere and suggested I could mail via UPS and that I needed to wrap the rug. I went to Staples on Penn Avenue as its my go to for all UPS mail and quick office supplies. It was now 8pm and I was very tired. The staples staff explained that my smart label could not be utilized with UPS. I was so upset after dragging this rug around. A nice young employee, named Nico, was so proactive and really went out of his way to find something that I could use as wrapping. He was so gracious and took the time to help wrap a giant roll of plastic around a rug and tape it down. He helped me carry the rug back to my car which I will again take back to Fed Ex. I was thinking in a world of COVID, people are generally more guarded which is understandable. However, it was so nice to have this nice young man, come up with a creative solution, help me execute it and frankly cheer me up after a very long day. I just hope the Staples managers recognize how awesome Nico is and encourage his excellent interpersonal skills. Its this kind of customer service and support that will have me coming back to Staples.
I have been to this store probably 5 times over the past 2 months and have been consistently pleased with the quality of customer service. The young staff are available and willing to help.
Customer service is non-existent if more than one person shows up. Print is average and pricey. Go to Flower City Pintmakers instead - Better service, better print and price.
Nice customer service and clean store. Average prices and inventory stocked.
I went to Staples on Penn Ave and got GREAT customer service from Daryl and T.Q. They understood my needs and went the EXTRA MILE to help me in every way they could. Very professional and kind ! I left very satisfied and will return there for all of my office needs. Thank you!
I am a designer who need to print portfolio often and go to their printing service almost every month. The service/quanlity you can get really varies depends on who you meet! Speaking about the printing section, Ryan is the pro. He is so smart and even help you to minimize your cost while having the same quality. I even called to make sure he is there and I will come will my printing job. But if you meet Sean, god bless you. Sean is someone need to consider another career path frankly. He could only take the most simple task without mistake. The rest staff are acceptable. With clear instructions, their work and attitude are quite nice and helpful.
I was quite pleased with Darryl and Robert and the interaction I experienced with them. Robert engaged in pleasantries as I while waited for an associate. Darryl, the tech person was spot on in helping select my new HP pc. All in all, my time at Staples today was well worth the trip.
I ordered business cards last night for pickup later today. They called me in the morning to say that their machine would be down for the next few days and they were happy to send my order over to another nearby store for printing today. After my order was sent to the other store, they promptly called me again and left a voicemail confirmation. Ill be happy to send other items to them for printing in the future.
Very disappointed in the service received at this location. They are ALWAYS understaffed.I went to this location 3 times to print out invitations. The first and third time I interacted with a very rude blond haired man with glasses who acted like it was an inconvenience to assist me at the printing desk. The first time he had another person working with him.The second time a very nice young woman who was the only one working the printing and mail station helped me. She printed out a preview of my invitations on two different kinds of card stock and tried to assist me and several other customers at the same time. She radioed her manager to ask for help but in the half an hour, I was there, no one came to help her.The third time, the same very rude man from the first time was working. He told me that he didnt have time for my printing because he had other things to do after he got done with another customer. The store was still open for another 2 hours.Dont bother going here for print services or mail.
I worked with the print center at this location for all of my printing needs for my wedding. They were consistently helpful and my orders always turned out as expected. Theyre fairly busy, but complete orders in a timely manner. Great, friendly staff!
Used the UPS drop off and it was so easy. I didnt have tape to adhere the mailing label and they had a neat lil plastic covering that was adhesive on the back. Will definitely use again.
It will probably be better after the lockdown.
I wanted to make sure that no one was trying to have Staples believe that they were me. I was making sure the person involved was not acting like he was me, had a credit card due to trying to be me and lying that he was me. At this time, I was ensured that this is not happening. I pray that it is the truth and at this time will agree that it is not happening.
Store hours are great - open later than anyone else, and open on Sundays. Shipping staff did the bare minimum - I think my packages will reach their destination, but offered no help in selecting the right sized box, didnt put in enough brown paper to top off the boxes, didnt point out tracking numbers, offered no expert advice (Should I cut down the boxes? Uh, I dont know, I wouldnt....) - all customer service fundamentals Ive come to expect elsewhere.
I have used the service/ printing counter at least 10 times for various small business needs. All the employees I have encountered are very patient, pleasant and work very hard to help people. I really appreciate them. Often they are a bit understaffed so sometimes they are a bit busy and placed under a bit of stress. But they handle it well. Thank you guys!
I visit here a few times a year. Feels like I am witnessing big box stores slowly die.Printers were not cutting edge (I wanted a Google cloud print version... Was the new one that wasnt in-store & could be ordered online.) Folks were pleasant but didnt seem to have any store or brand pride.Bought some file cabinets. The price was right.Prices on many office items are tremendously overpriced (paper sorter trays, plastic receipt organizers, etc).
Always has good inventory of office and other supplies. Friendly and helpful staff helps save time finding what you need.
I went here to ship something and had an experience like you see in cartoons and movies. I went in to ship with UPS. The line was long, the lady in front couldnt believe the prices and was tying up the line, and when I finally got through it, they didnt have an envelope of the correct size. The Staples UPS teller told me to go to aisle ten, where I could buy ten envelopes for ten dollars. This is actually a mercifully reasonable price for a store that will sell you an eight-dollar cable for $27, but it meant waiting in line behind someone else who didnt have her Staples card, guessed the wrong phone number, and then apparently couldnt remember her other phone number. The whole time, I was thinking, wow, this would actually be really hilarious if it werent so infuriating. There was, of course, only one kiosk open for both departments. To top it off, the card readers here seem to be engineered to waste your time, with endless prompts that are difficult to dismiss and cycle through. After buying my envelopes, I returned to wait in line again behind four new people who had trickled in while I was busy. When that line dissipated, I learned that this UPS location cant include return labels with a shipment, thereby invalidating the only reason I had gone to a physical store. I left with my unshipped package in hand.
One staff member in particular went entirely out of his way to help us. Couldnt have asked for better customer service. The printing services are often busy but I meet a lot of friendly and helpful staff here.
Horrible, do not use for shipping!!!They lost my daughters package and then pocketed the difference from the settlement from UPS. Very shady. DO NOT USE!! There are many better, more reputable places to use. I wouldnt recommend Staples for buying a single pencil anymore. Management was unhelpful and unresponsive.
Very incompetent employee. I called ahead to ask about prices for making copies. When I arrived at the store, my husband as well as another women attempted to use the machines. There were 4 machines, and we tried all of them. An employee sat nearby, doing nothing but watching. When we asked for help with the machine, he said they are out of order. We asked, so why did you just stand and watch as we tried to use the machines for about 20 minutes. He replied, okay. Very rude.
Very nice staff and very helpful . large store with UPS services
The staff was very helpful in my locating the things I was looking for. I appreciate the selection, convenience, and prices.
Nice big store very helpful very slow working with coupons.
If you need to ship or use their print center be sure to budget a ton of extra time. Today I waited for 10+ minutes at the shipping desk, with a line of other customers behind me also waiting. To be clear: I wasnt waiting in line while someone else was being assisted, I was the NEXT customer in line, standing at the desk. I had to leave because I was on my lunch break, and ran out of time - I left without actually shipping anything, all I did was wait then walked out. No employees came to the desk, or even acknowledged that customers were waiting for service. This place is a straight up joke. If you need any printing or shipping services I recommend doing everything you can to avoid going to Staples in East Liberty.
Store manager extremely helpful! I wish I could remeber his name!! Knowledgeable, patient, and extremely polite!!
Terribly slow customer service. Ordered an item online for in store pickup and it took longer than it would have to just go to the store and grab it from the shelf. The staff decided its not necessary to run the dedicated online order pickup counter and then have to go retrieve it from the shelf anyways.
Very helpful. Good efficient Associates.
At shipping desk young lady was very helpful & packed my box expertly. Place was light clean & she was professional.
They are understaffed but the employees are pleasant and accommodating. Just dont be in a rush unless youre utilizing the self service copying area.
Help in the store is great. However, the telephone contact is a disaster. If the lines are busy there is a repeat message that apologizes for the delay and tells you your call will be answered momentarily. Well, momentarily never happens and if someone finally answers it is far from anyones concept of momentarily. So, if you are seeking information via telephone, do it when you have time to wait and be prepared to be frustrated at first getting an apology with no accountability.
Great and convenient store with friendly personel for years long!
Its quite good, the staff Help me a lot, Even I have troubles to comunicate with them, they do its best to Help me; finally I got the printer that I want. They have everithing you need in Office supplies🙂.
Friendly staff, will help you find what you need
Customer service sucked, selection pretty much the same. Considered opening up an account for the business but will pass on this location.
I love their budget sales on various items.
Awesome human beings
Very helpful and friendly
Easy in and out. Helpful staff.
Your standard Staples. UPS staff is usually very nice and helpful.
If it was possible to rate this place as zero stars, I would. The copy center machines are frequently broken, and the employees are at best apathetic and frequently openly hostile and rude. I am shocked that this place still has customers. Do yourself a favor and go to Kinkos down the road, even the miserable post office nearby is less frustrating.
Very, compassionate about the childrens well being.
Great place to shop! Friendly associates
Good service. Better selection than Office Depot.
Went for ink and pencil grips. They were very helpful.
A little pricey. Nice staff.
Very nice cashier, they price matched from online! Saved me like 6 bucks!
Dont take returns back. Treat you like your a thief. Terrible customer service. Use to be my go to store before this ridicolous experience, wasnt even $45, Ill go to office max..
Terrible customer service. Current employees should consider another career path that doesnt not involve facing customers or get some training.
Good selection. Has a printing center inside.
Horrible experience. Very poor customer service and the manager, Lou, was very snarky.
Its unfortunate how expensive staples is and the associates are not super friendly. I only come here if it is a super emergency for office supplies and cant purchase online or office depot.
My picture for my boyfriends birthday had finger prints on it when I brought it home.
They sell office supplies. What more do you need to know?
Big store, never been busy when I was in there.
The individual taking the UPS drop offs was amazingly rude.
Very unorganized, its a shame because they have a fair amount of great people who work here but it seems the direction is either not there or they dont have enough to execute good service.
Easy in-and-out.
Didnt find what I wanted.
Great customer service
Fast and excellent service
Did what I needed done, no waiting.
They print it out exactly what I asked for
Understaffed store, but at least everyone was kind when I needed assistance with something.
I was on hold with customer service for an hour
Very good service
Very slow service. I needed 3 two-sided color copies of a tri-fold brochure. It took 20 minutes.
Standard staples. Not much else.
They have a ups store in side.
Very, very, very slow service. I ordered flyers online and HOURS later they still werent ready. I was on hold for 20 minutes before i finally just hung up. Ill never use Staples again.
This is one of most inappropriate and inconsiderate Staples, I have been in.On hold for 7 minutes, rude individual answers the phone with language that was incomprehensible.
Had what I needed
Wonderful service
Service can sometimes be slow
Nice
Good store
♥️
Bathroom was disgusting
