I found beautiful lampshades on sale and got a lesson in fixing an old lampIf you want walk sconces there are lots of different styles and everything is 70% of the lowest price.They will only be there till the end of the month.A great trip

Very disappointed! They are permanently closed, storefront empty, rent signs in Windows if someone inside ripping out carpeting. Wish I would have known this before I drove all the way here.

How do you get in contact with Eric lighting? Are they in business? I have tried to call many times and the phone just keeps ringing with no one answering.

I have a very stylish and highly functional architectural desk lamp that was not working right for years. Then it quit working. I had tried numerous times to have it fixed in the past. I tried to buy another one but this type of lamp cannot be found these days. Scott at Lighting by Erik fixed it perfectly and promptly for only $30 !!! I am ecstatic and grateful. If you have an old lamp that does not work and you want to repair it, i would highly suggest Lighting by Erik. The staff is down to earth and helpful. It can be Refreshing to stay out of the big box stores where almost everything is self service

On a recent trip back to Pittsburgh, I was determined to replace three aged lamp shades on my Mothers fixtures. The lamps were orginally purchased at Lighting by Erik North, which closed some time ago. After researching online and speaking with local purveyors, I took a chance and drove over to the remaining Lighting by Erik location in Dormont, a place I had never visited. I was so very pleased with the selection of lamp shades and the attentive service I received there. My Mother was delighted with the refreshed and updated look given her lamps. I would and have encouraged others to visit this store.

Family owned business. I think the son is taking over the business really soon. I was extremely satisfied with the service I received. I will never contact anyone again for my lightening needs. They provided exceptional service.

I just had a wonderful experience with Lighting by Erik in the South Hills. I walked in and was immediately approached by a sales person. I told her I didnt know exactly what I was looking for and preferred to walk around by myself for a little bit. She said fine and left me alone. My first response was WOW what a selection! I have never seen so many beautiful lights and accessories in one location.She checked back with me after about 10 minutes ; I told her I still needed some more time. She did not hover over me or pressure me into making a selection. After about an hour, I finally chose a magnificent crystal chandelier for my dining room. I couldnt give the final OK until I sent a picture to my decorator. I sent the picture and within minutes she responded LOVE IT!I handed the sales person ( I should have gotten her name) my credit card, the man in the back got me all packed up and carried it to my car. I cant wait to see it hanging in my dining room and my guests oooing and ahhing over it while enjoying Thanksgiving dinner.I will definitely be back!

One of the only all lighting stores in Pittsburgh. Prices seem fair and have a great selection of styles.

Unbelievably huge selection, it is like walking into a real live catalog. The quality of the lights are unbelievable. You will pay more for them than at a box store but they will also last generations and not just a year or two.

Too bad they are closing. Great deals if you are in need of lampshades or light fixtures.

South Hills store seems as though they dont need your business. Was there the other day and the owner was quite rude and talked down to me. I do know something about lighting and she shouldnt act so superior. Was ready to spend $400.00 cold cash in her store but I will go to Cardello to spend it!
