Every time I go in for my due exam, I am always treated with respect. All the ladies there have great personalities, friendly and courteous. Big shout out to Tami Johnston for helping me pick out the perfect frame for my face. I highly recommend My Eye Dr to everyone.

So these clinics are always booked up months and months ahead because they accept Medicaid so they are making millions of dollars and still acting stuck up about it. I took my daughter to this particular clinic even though we live over an hour away we made sure to leave with enough time so my daughter didnt even go to school unfortunately there was a foreseen accident or there were people who died we arrived 14 minutes late the receptionist was really nice. The doctor said he would not see us even though the place was empty. May God not have mercy on their souls

I’ve come to this location for a very long time, and I am never disappointed! I went today and Tami was extremely helpful, and took the time out of her day to help me find glasses I really loved. She made our whole interaction personal & genuine, she is amazing!

I had a problem with my new glasses diffusing the light. They had to be sent back twice. The second time Tammy went out of her way to get hold of the head of the lab to get individual attention. They went above and beyond to try to fix the problem.

My first visit & it was a good one. It was clean, the staff was friendly and the doctor was amazing. I would most definitely tell my family & friends about this place they accept all insurances. So that was a plus.

Friendly and welcoming staff, Doctor Hobbs was very professional, the eyewear consultant was very knowledgeable, explained what my insurance is covering and offered verity of frames to choose from without going a dime over the insurance maximum. Overall great experience. Not even one thing to complain about 👍

MyEyeDr is one of the greatest optometrist offices I’ve been to in the 10 years I’ve been wearing glasses. I was ready to make the switch to contacts and the doctor took his time to walk me through what it would be like and Tami did a wonderful job explaining the contacts rewards program. I did not feel rushed whatsoever during the appointment and I was seen within 5 minutes of my appointment time. The entire staff at the office is wonderful and all so sweet! This is a new team following the reopening after Covid, and I highly recommend them!

I went here six months ago to get an eye exam and replace my broken frames. My lenses were fine, I just needed the same frames again. I was happy when I found they were still in stock so I picked them and indicated Id be paying out of pocket for them since my insurance had ran out.Whoever the woman was who helped me repeatedly told me I couldnt purchase them, that the manufacturer wouldnt sell them to me unless I had the same insurance. That made no sense because money is money and they werent anything fancy. She kept trying to sell me on a Michael Kors deal that I didnt want so I just left empty handed. I had to super glue my old glasses and make due until I could figure out what to do.Well, come to find out this woman totally lied to me because I was just able to order my frames online, still without insurance and they are being shipped directly to my home. No hassle at all. Very unhelpful and unprofessional service here. Glasses with proof I could purchase them without my old Davis Vision insurance below.-Kaitlin Saltzberry

Plant City StoreJust worst customer experience waited initially for my first pair of glasses two weeks on top of that one of my lenses kept popping out if my glasses fell or anything(bad lense cut obviously) This was in January. So of course it took two weeks to get my last pair so I didn’t want to return so just dealt with it. So I go on vacation in July fall off a jet ski and guess what the lens pops out luckily I got the warranty so I dropped them off on 7/26/2021 it is now 8/17/2021 I was told yesterday they were finally in (I was initially told the 11th at the latest) and that they were undergoing inspection and they would call me back later that day to come pick them up. I did not get a call so I called this morning they have not been inspected yet. My glasses have been there two days now after waiting 3 weeks and I still can’t get them. All I have is my wife’s old pair of glasses that are like readers but I still can’t see haven’t been able to see for almost a month now but I still have to wait for inspection. Next year we will find elsewhere because from the beginning this place has been below expectations l.

Tami made my day. Went in with glasses that were on the verge of breaking a hinge. She took it to the back and was able to fix the hinge. Saved me sending it in to the company. She was great.

Rude the women with short silver hair actually yelling so rude at a older person .. she even makes rude comments . She did the same to my mother I think this will be my last visit here.Time to find new doctor ..

I went in to fix a bent frame thinking it would take maybe an hour with the wait and all but Tami was at the door and got straight to work with them even gives me a heads up that my frame might break but she manage to make it work and look good as newThank you so much Tami

I went in last week to get an exam and new prescription for my reading glasses.  My prescription for my regular distance and reading glasses were fine but the frame of the pair I bought last year broke, second time in a year. The person doing the initial exam asked me if I wanted my eyes dilated to which I said not at this time. She said she would need to check with the doctor.  When she came back she said the doctor wanted it done.  I told her I was uncomfortable with doing it at this time.  After a little more discussion she ended the exam. I never saw a doctor, didnt get a new prescription or new glasses.I was only there because when my reading glasses frame broke. They told me my prescription from the year before had expired and they couldnt make new glasses without a new prescription.

This place is awful, completely disorganized and the main reason is the general manager, she will yell at employees and just let the place run wild. The poor receptionists just sit there and try to smile but one of them (younger one) definitely doesn’t know what she’s doing. I ordered glasses and they ordered the wrong ones apparently tags on glasses were mixed up but I would highly suggest avoiding this place altogether to save you from a headache.

Ive never even been to this place but I had called to find out about pricing since it is not listed on their website. When I called, I was met with a rude receptionist and an immediate hang up after asking my question. I was slightly confused since my question was nothing out of the ordinary and made sure I was polite in asking it.I probably will take my business elsewhere since I do not feel comfortable going to a place that may possibly have more rude employees.

Very unsatisfied with this company. 1 visit they prescribed my lenses to strong which I could not wear but they would replace my lenses at my cost then (Lakeland store) 2nd visit I decided to try a different location and went to the plant city location back in August and got my exam and ordered contacts after a couple weeks I called and was told they were on back order, fast forward to November still no contacts called they reordered said they would be delivered 5-7 days well December and still no contacts, called beginning of the week and someone was to call me back and no return call, been on hold now 20min while they look into my chart.. lol pretty sure I won’t hear back from these folks.

I went there back in 2018 Loved it, rescheduled a exam to be done on the 22 of May. I put it in about a week and a half prior, mind you the website allowed me to place it. They canceled on my literally the night before cause they arent open. Why not tell me when i put the request in? Or ahead of time, not before the day of. Than they inform me that they arent taking any appointments nearby even though my co worker went to them last week. ADIOS

No idea why this place has so many bad reviews, I have had a very pleasant experience both times Ive gone. Dr. Chaney is extremely nice, both the receptionists are sweet as pie, and the two ladies who go over the glasses with you are very nice. Even the lady who runs all the visual tests is nice! I had a 9:15 appointment, I was seen literally upon the doors being opened for the day at 9 o clock. The only time I was left alone was so I could pick out frames. Great office all the way around. Will definitely continue going here for basic eye care as long as they remain open.

This place should be closed down. The moment you walk in until you leave is a complete unprofessional mess. Starting with the unorganized, unprofessional front desk. Doctor was a complete uneducated robot. I left blind with trial contacts that I explained over and over in office were not good and were not comfortable. Paid extra for a picture of my retina that the doctor didn’t even look at or go over with me. I was left at a desk for 20 minutes with no help or idea what was next in my appt. i never asked to change my contact brand i said i was happy with them just seemed like my prescription was wrong. Instead doctor pushed contacts on me that i had no interest in. The check out girl was told to schedule me a one week follow up but spent so much time talking about herself and her boyfriend she didn’t care to listen to my questions or concerns about my appt. I tried to schedule and she told me just to call. called back several times and never received follow up calls. I finally spoke with Jennifer who apparently is the manager or lack there of. She was to order a new trial pair that were not in office and a week later were still not in. She could care less of my frustrations. Simply told me they would be in soon. It was a mess a simple eye appt shouldn’t have been this horrible or complicated I’ve been wearing contacts for 20 years and never have I ever been to such a horrible eye place. Will not be back and will NEVER recommend to anyone. Now I have to go spend more money for a whole new exam somewhere else. Complete scam of my money.

Doctor is great but they NEVER answer their phone. Ive been trying to get in touch for a week and when I finally called the corporate number they got me in touch to order contacts and told me someone would call back today. No call back and now I cant order my contacts. I probably wont return.

Worst place I’ve ever been!!! Stay away !!! You will waste your time and money !!!Had to be seen 3 times because they could not get my glasses to the correct prescription. Still have no glasses 3 months later! Finally just asked for a refund. They are obviously not doing something right at this place. The only nice thing I can say about this awful place is the lady at the front desk was very nice.Prices are cheaper because you don’t get a real doctor

I had my full eye exam and ordered my glasses within 30 minutes and everyone was very friendly, especially the receptionist! Everyone was very welcoming and professional and Id definitely recommend them to anyone.

What a disappointment, 2nd store in 3 months, i cant find a plant city eye glass store who can fit my prescription into my frame of choice without scratching the frame up and using different screws that do not fit flushly when installed because no one knows hownto cut lenses to size of frames. I Was told to wait another 2 weeks for my eye glasses. I wont be going back.

Worst Optomerty experience, no one goes over your copays with you when you arrive for your appointment, and they just add things on without telling you about it. Just gave me the total, rude. The woman who put my glasses order in was more interested in telling me about her personal life than helping me with my visit. My trial contact were unavailable the day of my appointment, no big deal, but I was told 3-5 days for them to be in. It took them over a week. I am very displeased by the customer service of this place and the failure to disclose information over the phone like the fact you had to schedule a class in order to pick up your contacts for the first time, when I called the woman told me I could pick them up before 6 on any day of the week but the story changed when I stopped by after work wasting my gas and my time. Only go to this place if you want to be the next cash cow they could careless about your actual needs.

The doctor I had was nice. The receptionist is nice, the ladies who work with the glasses is nice. The African American Lady that calls you in is rude. Ive been here multiple times and that one lady seems to be the only rude one. i dont know what her deal is or if shes trying to be rude, but i just dont appreciate it.

They never answer their phone, anytime I have ever called it just rings. There isn’t a voicemail or a menu option either. Couldn’t cancel or reschedule an appointment. Very inconvenient to have to drive to the location to do something that could be handled over the phone.
