Delicious food, fast service, and friendly staff! When we sat down, the people in the booth behind us said These are the best home fries Ive had in a very long time. I can confidently agree with them, the home fries (and bacon, maple syrup, french toast, and everything) were amazing! Super recommend stopping here if youre passing through, or even for a detour from the highway!
I placed an order for 2:30 and when I got there the waitress forgot to put it in which wasn’t a big deal people make mistakes. After sitting and waiting for 20 minutes my food came out and just looked sad.I asked for the burger cooked medium and not only is the outside black and burned, which they tried to hide with cheese, it’s also completely dry on the inside. The bun was also toasted so much it was rock hard. They gave me about half the portion of fries I’ve gotten every other time I’ve gotten food here. They’re soft and taste like old oil.I’ve eaten here before and it was great but this was really disappointing.
Angela (our waitress) was extremely attentive, accommodating, and helpful. She is the best.As for the food... absolutely the best. Delicious loaded oatmeal and fabulous Belgian waffle with whipped cream. Yum.We will be back. This will be our go to restaurant in Plymouth. Fabulous food, great people, and outstanding food.
We had to wait 15 minutes for a table. But it was worth the wait. The service was great. Food was excellent. Prices were reasonable. Not insulting like some tourist trap. So avoid places in Waterville and Lincoln. Super worth the trip down a few exits. The menu is really good. They take pride in what they serve. I’m definitely coming back. Some many things to try. And the coffee is better than Dunkin. Not watered down.
4/5Biscuits and gravy - creamy and flavourful gravy would lots of sausage. Definitely the best thing here.Boston creme pancakes - the Boston cream was curled and tasted really eggy. The New Hampshire syrup served with it was really good.Artichoke dip Benedict - tasted very similar to the creamy spinach tostitos dip (which I quite like). The hollandaise was smooth and creamy but the poached eggs were a little over done.
This diner has been there for at-least 60 years. Back in college Id stop there on the way home from mountain hiking. Its still a great diner - good food, low prices, great service. Youll like it.
Server was amazing! Under-staffed but handled everything so well. The food and cocktails were absolutely delightful!
Cute spot in downtown. Bring cash if you can. They add the surcharge on to the tab before they know if you are paying with cash or card so just be careful of that. Food was good! They do upcharge for every small thing so just be aware of that. I felt safe with the corona procedures they had in place. Will definitely go back next time in town.
Myself and my 4 adult kids went for breakfast.Amazing.. Loved the atmosphere and the wait staff. Very clean. Reasonable prices and great food.. this is a edit.. I met the owners a day later without knowing it was from the same place, I had already gave a review for. The owners are not only friendly, but myself, being from a heavy restaurant background, found alot in common with them. I strive for customers and co-workers satisfaction. Not only are they nice, down to earth people, but they talk and treat their customers as well as their staff with respect and appreciation. They are very knowledgeable about food prep, cook time, cost and overall cleanliness and safety. It would be a honor to work for them if I lived closer by. It was a pleasure.. I always say there are 4 ingredients for any good company, not just restaurants.1) good product2) good prices3) good staff4) good managersIf you are missing any one of these, you are destined to failure. They have all 4A+++
Great service and delicious food at a great price! Such a cute little place. The chili was delicious and the pulled pork amazing!
Best reviewed breakfast place in the area, and now I know why! We stay at my uncles cottage in Bridgewater once a year, and I will definitely be back here. The Irish Benedict on the homemade English muffin was delicious. My boyfriend had the western omelette and my son the Belgian waffle, everything was great. Our server was very friendly and attentive, on top of filling my coffee when needed. While I’m mentioning that, the coffee was very good as well! Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Excellent food, friendly service- and fast! Saving this spot for a stop over on my trips back and forth to the white mountains. Lovely little town. Comfort food, diner style. Bloody Mary’s are also great!
Great location and food! The space is unique and much larger than its street view appears. The back even features a small outdoor deck with approx. 4-6 tables. Among our party, we ordered coffees, the veggie omelet, Greek omelet, breakfast burrito with side of corned beef hash, banana and chocolate chip pancakes (stack of two - they are larger than expected!), and fried chicken BLT. No complaints on the food except everyone agreed home fries could be crispier. Otherwise all good things to say! One of my favorite things about the restaurant is that they have sweet and savory breakfast combos - which are too rare in the brunch world! They also offer single pancake and French toast options which are great if youre indecisive like me. Though no one in our party opted for them, they seemed to have good drink specials. Wait staff was good, particularly notable as they were younger - but were friendly and attentive!
Great little diner. Really happy with the food and the service. Definitely worth checking out, especially if youre looking for a good breakfast/brunch in the area.
Angela was an “Angel”. Quick wit & lots of smiles. Very helpful with menu selections and almost everything is homemade. We had a little of everything’s d it was great! Thanks for an awesome New Hampshire Welcome❤️
Had an amazing breakfast with my family here today. The food was amazing, staff was delightful, and the atmosphere was exactly what I needed it to be. Ive been coming here sporadically over the years, and Ive always been very pleased with my experience. They also went above and beyond for my two kids. I will continue to recommend this place.
Visited on a Tuesday morning ~ 10:30 for late breakfast. Garden and Irish Benedicts were good, but all the Poached Eggs Yolks were almost fully cooked. I upgraded to the loaded home fries, as other reviewers mentioned, this is well worth it. There is no onsite parking, but we had no problem finding metered parking on Main Street.
This was the first time my husband and I went here to eat. The staff at first was nice however soon as we were seated we got dirty looks from our waitress because our 2 year old was having a hard time. The food was horrible. My son wouldnt even eat the fries and he loves his French fries. I will not be going back here.
Delicious 😋🤤 so yummy..... Great customer service........ Fast and accurate thank you will definitely be ordering again soon for sure 😊
Great Bloody Marys! Creative and tasty breakfast options. The inside is very cute and inviting. Cant wait to come back!
Yum. Blueberry crumble pancakes. Delicious
Got an omlette (the homefries were AMAZING) and French toast! A classic New Hampshire diner that is well worth the stop
A very happy place to have a delicious breakfast,, sunshine faces, and happy smiles to start your day ☺️
Great place, good food, excellent service cant ask for more than that !
The eggs benedict on a pancake was one of the best things I have ever eaten.
.my son and I just moved to the area stopped in for breakfast staff is very pleasant food was outstanding and good prices
Fantastic! Will definitely be returning. Great atmosphere, service and food!
Awful customer service. They lie to your face. Do NOT recommend unless you like rude, bad service. Literally the worst customer service I have ever seen in my life! Absolutely will never be back!!!!! Spend your money somewhere else where it’s actually appreciated.
Food was great. Snuggle booth was a little too small for 4 seniors. Very nice wait staff.
Great wait staff. I got biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs over easy and baked beans. The biscuits and beans were great. Gravy was good, and the eggs were cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend
Very good bloody Marys. Unlike others around the area. But nothing special about the food. You need to get there early because it fills up fast.
Loved this place and will definitely be back if were in the area.Food was absolutely delicious, good serving sizes, and we loved all the mimosa flavors! My bf got the Philly benedict which was great, and I got theo te Cristo special- also delicious. When they ask if you want to do the loaded home fries, just say yes... sooo good! They were pretty busy when we went, but service was fast without making us feel rushed. The staff was all super friendly as well, making for an overall great experience.
Food was very good and our waitress was super nice. But it was lunch time and they had no iced tea or burger buns!! What??
Terrific terrific food! I ate the french toast with apple crisp on the sunny deck. Perfect ending to a weekend camping in the White Mountains.
We decided to check this place out while vacationing from Massachusetts. Nina was so friendly and helpful. The homemade Hash Benedict was amazing as was my sons chocolate chip pancake. We loved the atmosphere and the price.
Their waffles and chicken was a brunch delight! The patty melt was just ok, since it was a tiny bit overcooked. The place can get very busy, so servers are very busy as well. Still, they are able to provide good and prompt service. Would definitely come back if I was in the area again.P.s. Friends said that their Eggs Benedict and home fries are delicious.
Very good service and great food. Great place to stop between jobs and catch up on paperwork.
Very cool atmosphere, with a typical (very large) menu. The food was exactly what you are looking for from diner food.
Amazing Iced Chai! Always friendly staff, and a cool place. I go here at least twice a week with my daughter. Definitely try one of the snacks they offer on the table near where you order! Delish!
Good food. Waitress pleasant and told us about university and town.
In the area and decided on this little place. The wait was shorter than the 20 minutes they said and we actually missed our name being called because I wanted to check out the area. We were seated quickly on our return and the waitress was prompt and friendly in greeting us. I was pleasanly surprised The food was reasonably priced. We didnt wait long and it was delicious. The home fries I swiped from my husband were as good as they looked. I enjoyed my raspberry stuffed french toast. The atmosphere was great, loved the oldies music and HAVE to mention the bathroom. Smelled amazing and loved the way it was decorated in the oldies dinner theme!
Our waitress was wonderful! She was upbeat, made helpful suggestions, and made us feel right at home. The food was terrific and the price is right. Its our new go to place!
I come here often, and today I had the Fried Cheese Curd burger. It was great, well seasoned, cooked to a perfect Medium Rare. My server, Shannon, was fantastic, and also was able to deal with me being a klutz and spilling my drink everywhere! Definitely recommend coming here for a great breakfast with great service.
I LOVE Main Street Station. We stay in NH every year, but this was our first time eating at Main Street Station, and we already plan to return next year. The Bloody Marys were really what drew us in, but the breakfast itself was phenomenal. The portion sizes are generous: he ordered french toast with a side of bacon and I ordered hash and eggs with a side of bacon, plus the Bloody Marys and a hot tea. Neither of us were able to finish just because of how substantial everything was. Trust me, we wanted to. Price wise, its a little pricier than a classic diner, but the food and drinks surpass what youre getting at a more classic diner, so seems reasonable. Our bill came to $38+tip for the two of us.I would absolutely recommend Main Street Station, and well definitely be back next year.
A good hearty breakfast place !The front is an old dining car and built off of that is inside seating overlooking the river, with outside seating on a balcony ! Ive only been here for breakfast but if the unique fan fair of dishes served is any indication than Im sure youll not be disappointed at anytime!
Great food. Everything is fresh made.Bloody Marys are GREAT. We stop in often during bike werk.
Breakfast was like a home cooked meal. Got to try it.
The service was wonderful. The food was super yummy.
Staff was nice. Place was different. Food was good. I also enjoyed the outdoor dining
Great service. Food was terrific!
Best breakfast food in town if you dont mind standing in the street for an hour to get in.
Foods r delicious but service is okay. The bathroom is 😨🤢
Stopped on the way home from the white mountains area for breakfast with the family. Great food, classic New England vibe.
Good breakfast spot. With good service.
Service was great food was better than I expected.
The service was awesome, the food was great, and their soundtrack was perfect! Overall a great experience. Very glad I stopped by!
A nice place for breakfast.
We ate here twice breakfast and dinner. Great staff and great food.
Cute little dinner. Great food
This is one of our favorite places to eat in town. Service is always really good here and the food is awesome as well. Hands down the best choice for breakfast in town.
Good diner food. Good selection on the menu, good specials.
Good food. GF seemed to be taken seriously.
Came here for a late Saturday brunch and was absolutely blown away by the service and food. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it was honestly the best burger I’ve had in some time. Hand pressed patty, homemade role, absolutely delicious. Loved our waitress and the owner and definitely will come back and recommend to everyone I know.
Really good breakfast. Friendly staff.
This might be ignorance of mine but it comes in shock for me that we have to pay the processing fee for using credit card. With this being said, make sure to bring cash to pay or save extra money in your bank to cover the diners business expenses. Secondly, ask what kind of soda is refillable and which is charged by bottle. After the waitstaff confirmed that soda is refillable, it comes in a surprise to me when she brought out soda bottles And open the second without confirming with me. Perhaps it was a bit of miscommunication. I said Dont worry about it and paid $5 on kids soda. In the meantime, I was trying to reassure that my kid gets his side fruit with his kids meal.. but instead I was charged for side fruit. No problem... it wasnt a big deal after all. Well, i guess when the waitstaff nicely asking you if you want this and that, just make sure that everything that you said Yes to comes with a price. Including maple syrup that costs $2 for about 2 table spoons. They comes in mini syrup holder. If you have two holders for your party, expect to pay $4.To sum up, food was good. Over priced due to all the small upgrades. Waitstaff service is great and pleasant. But if you question the bill, they could be kinda loud... and no so pleasant. The place is cozy and cute. Great for couple dates or friends outing. Will I recommend it to others that looking for a small cozy dinner? Yes but Cash please. Will I recommend it to family with kids? There might be better options around town.😏
Wife and I love this spot for breakfast. Their bloody Marys are delicious.
Awesome food when I ate there back in the fall.
I kept driving by, planning to stop in - I finally did .. prices are reasonable but even though I work nearby I will return to driving by .. 🤔
Waitstaff was nice but food arrived cold and almost stale tasting. We also received our appetizer five minutes after our meal...
Food and service were excellent
Amazing omelets and the best homefries!
Food is always great! A hit with the kids too, they love the trolley car!
Great food and super friendly staff.
This place was absolutely amazing, the food, the staff, drinks and the atmosphere was so fun! I ate the Irish benedict it was so good, loaded home fries absolutely delicious. Us girls will definitely be back in a couple months for girls weekend! The place was absolutely adorable very welcoming and very clean.
The best breakfast place around!! Food is always amazing and the service is great! I get the same waitress every time I go in and she is always very nice and friendly!
There was this diner in Rumney, NH that I had frequented for quite awhile every weekend for breakfast, and it was my spot ya know? So when it closed down due to complications around Covid-19 I was very disappointing. I obviously had to find another place to go and Main Street Station is where its at. Today I had the biscuits & sausage gravy with eggs and fruit. Before i tell you how it was you have to know that I lived down in Texas for about 4.5 years and also in North Carolina, I feel i know what good biscuits and gravy tastes like. Main Street Station has some of the most amazing biscuits and gravy Ive ever had, right down to the biscuits. Im not sure exactly how they cooked them, but just the biscuits alone are amazing. Definitely try them out when you stop by, and look out for North Station in Rumney where Plain Janes use to be! Main Street Station bought them! Theyll have the same amazing menu there.
Delicious ❤️ loved it
Even though Covid is out there, We decided it was time to go out to eat. We had errands to run, do we stopped in here for breakfast. It was delicious. A little pricy, but we are in a pandemic so what did I expect. It was clean, cozy, not too close to each other. And delicious. I recommend it if you are in the area ☺️
We drive up from Southern NH often to eat at this nice little diner. The food is authentic, home made from scratch and many options for breakfast and lunch! The diner is always very clean and since Covid they are practicing all the extra focus needed to keep things in order. Love the new deck out back giving more seating options. Have never had anything on the menu that we didnt love. Service always with a smile and great coffee too. Nice job Main Street crew, we highly recommend you to our friends.
We had to wait over 15 minutes although it was late morning but early for lunch. I found that reservations are recommended and for good reason. We had Eggs Benedict with a chipotle hollandaise sauce that was an original take on an old favorite. It had a little kick and they had a few different sauces that allowed for some experimentation. An apple cider mimosa worked better than I would have expected to prime the pump and their version of a Bloody Mary is worth stealing the recipe. Everything, both food and beverage was not only done with flair but served graciously. ...and I thought it was just a diner!
Amazing breakfast selections and always service with a smile!
My family and I stopped to eat while visiting the state of NH on our recent vacation. The hostess, waitress, chef and staff were welcoming, very hospitable, kind and really provided exceptional service. We were so surprised with the quality of food, plate presentation and full menu options. We wished we could have gone back before we left the state. This stop, for a quick bite, far exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend this restaurant and it is a must stop if ever in Plymouth, NH area.
Delicious! So many mimosas to choose from... Cmon soft shelled crab mimosa, need I say more
It was not good food
