The tables are closed due to Covid-19.I must have arrived at a shift change because the staff I saw when I walked in disappeared and different people were waiting on customers when I left ◀️.They had metal miniatures you can make from kits they sell. Star Wars characters and 🌌🚀 spaceships, Doctor Whos TARDIS, the RMS Titanic and famous buildings from around the world 🌎.Facemasks required to enter. Its an interesting place to visit. My mother would have enjoyed it because she loved doing 🧩 puzzles.

Great selection...maybe a little overwhelming if you dont know what youre looking for. Didnt really engage with the staff for suggestions but they didnt seem overly interested in helping. Maybe they were just trying to not be pushy or make me feel pressured to buy anything, so cant really ding them for that.

Would recommend Diversions to anyone! My family is really into board games and every time I hear of a new one I want to try, Diversions already has it in stock (or is willing to order it!). I recently called about a game I wanted to get as a Christmas gift, it was out of stock, but the woman who answered my call said she would make sure it was on order and less than a week later, I have the game in hand! They definitely keep up with trends and the staff is incredibly friendly. Theyve offered me suggestions for games based on other ones my family has enjoyed and have never steered me wrong. Cool store, great selection, friendly staff, and the good feeling of shopping local!

Called Diversions looking for a very specific puzzle (size, subject) for a friend facing a health challenge. Laura responded quickly and found a puzzle that totally fit the bill! Sent it to my friend who was thrilled! Great service!! Would recommend this store without reservation!

I attended Diversions game nights almost weekly for quite a few years. I also tried to attend other events they held throughout the year. I am lucky to have such a great board game store so close by. Whats not to like about this place?Extensive and updated demo games to try out any time for free? Check. Friendly and knowledgeable staff? Check. Welcoming people during game night? Check. Exciting events throughout the year? Check.I could go on and on but this is by far, one of my favorite places to go. As far as Im concerned, Diversions is a staple in the seacoast that everyone should at least visit once. Learn about everything they have to offer, whether it is the tons of events they host and collaborate with local businesses, board games for all types of people, or a wide variety of puzzles to suit your needs. Diversions has it all and I wouldnt have it any other way.

Such a great store. We stop in every time we’re in Portsmouth. There are great staff recommendations and games of all genres. My son has placed a few special orders and Diversions always gets the item in quickly. I love their puzzle selection, especially the Charlie Harper ones. Always organized. Always clean. Always inspiring.

This is the best game shop around. I cant help but leave with a new game every single time I go in because they have such fun selections. Not only do they have games, but they have a huge selection for puzzles too. The staff is always super nice and they are very knowledgeable, especially in their suggestions. If you havent been here you are seriously missing out.

Every experience Ive ever had at Diversions has been positive. Basil, in particular, is a true gem who always takes the time to make informed recommendations. The staff are friendly and funny, the space is bright and clean, and the selection is varied. They even have a loyalty rewards program. I love this place.

I received a Diversions puzzle for Christmas Mornings in Portsmouth. I enjoyed putting it together until I started finding pieces of the puzzle that had delaminated and the colored side became separated from the backing. (I have photo). There were a total of 16 pieces. I ended up gluing them all together in order to complete the puzzle. There is an obvious problem with your supplier. I could not return it as your store in Portsmouth is closed. Let me know how you resolved the problem as I dont think I will buy another puzzle from you unless problem is fixed. Incredible selection of games (& puzzles!) to buy, just as impressive selection of games to learn from the store library, knowledgeable & friendly staff, and warm & inviting atmosphere. Have great events. Participated in a blind puzzle race, and had a ton of fun! They really know their stuff too, Ian helped me find a great game for a gift for my family.

I go into this store whenever I come home from school. Everyone that works there is extremely friendly, and they all care about games as well as the people who play them. The store is dog friendly which helps me get my dog out of bad weather when it sweeps in, or lets me have a day in the sun, and come in and enjoy a card game with friends. Wish I could give a 6/5

Amazing store! They have an extensive selection of puzzles and games, for all ages and occasions. They have a selection of rpg products, including dice and minis. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are regular events in the great playing space on the lower level.

Diversions is one of my favorite stores in downtown Portsmouth. It has a very large selection of games and I think the events they host every week are great.

A wonderful store full of knowledgeable and friendly employees! They have just about any puzzle or game you could dream of. Also be sure to ask about their Diversions Excursions and the weekly gaming opportunities in their playing area that’s always open to the public!

Diversions is fun and exceedingly friendly. The atmosphere is cozy, and there are games and puzzles covering every available surface. Employees are more than happy to bring out open copies of a new European style board game to playtest in store. There is a broad selection of games, ranging from Monopoly to Ticket to Ride (and all the expansions!) and Smallworld to Agricola. The best part is the weekly game nights where locals and visitors alike are invited to occupy the store for an evening of games. Its a great way to meet people and try out new things. Diversions has got to be my favourite shop in all of Portsmouth!
