Right now, go here no supply problems . There are a lot of good products for cost. Good bagels at 2/$4. Their beef franks $3. I like the Lime chips big bag for $2. Their brands are comparable with other stores brands. The MB ravioli is very good. The woven wheat are a good Triscuit knock-off.
Great prices freshness and local service
Pre cooked lobsters, bargain price. We love this place. Always a great stop.
Good, store very large cross selection of groceries. Plenty of staff, and polite.
They need to wash Their, Locations with clean Mops & Freshly added cleaners to the water in the Mop Buckets!! When going into any of Their Locations, can smell the mildew from the mop Buckets that they washed their Floors with. Also have to check Dates on all Food Products. Even after Addressing & Returns of items. With different Store Managers! Still happening.
Don;t get any better. The best lowest prices. In the state. Great meats, amazing bakery. Best selections. The butcher is always happy to cut a roast to exactly the size and weight I want. The meat is fresh and as good as any butcher shop.
Always love going in here... you need to find the right time of day to go though because its poppin around lunch time.
Love Market Basket, but this one is crazy busy. Parking lot is like the Wild West. Good luck.
Always remove everything from their department early in fish department & produce etc. You made a ton of money during covid! Pay your employees what they are worth and stay open. If you cannot offer your items during the hours you list- change them! Quite simple.
I always find everything I need and quickly am able to get out. Very the thankful during these times that prices are as low as they can be.
Market Baskets ethos is a welcome change from the typical business approach. Its kinda like flying Southwest Airlines. Good value, solid quality, and funny people on the intercom.
Brianna was absolutely amazing and very pleasant with her greeting and when leaving, and also thanked us for choosing market basket :)
Not bad. Staff is great. Good prices. For me, dont care for their produce and go elsewhere and sometimes they dont have what I came in for. .
Market Basket is my favorite grocery store! They do a great job with everything!
Was nice clean MORE product then the one in Dover.Fainly we did find some juce boxes the flavors that my kids Love to drink. For some reason is really been harder finding any for the last 2 month is a shortage on supplies.Prices are going up shopping is so much more expensive after the COVID-19 Anywhere you go .
Great location on busy street. My go-to Amazon pick up site.
Their German Potato salad is not like Omas. Good prices and selection. Nice to see employees in store.
The guy that was the announcer for the Easter Reese’s eggs and Easter decor right before the store was closing on 4/3/21, you made our night! We loved your energy for those announcements and still are talking about it! Best Market Basket experience ever!
This store had everything I was looking for! The store is well stocked and employees are friendly and helpful.
Check the Oatmeal Raisin cookies in bakery. Best ever. Most things needed for good eating, planting convenience
Its ok cheaper prices but not as good food as others.
Older market basket small not what i am used to. Customer service was excellent.
Good qualitu products, friendly cheerful staff
Market basket is a great grocery store. Good in stocks & a wide variety.
Great service..great prices
The market basket in the Burlington store plaza of Portsmouth sux bad thats the best thing I can say about this store
I love every market basket
Well stocked and reasonable prices. Store is old and needs updating, crowded aisles and checkout.
100% makes me miss Wegmans, or Publix.
Great place to shop well stocked very clean and a very good and friendly staff.
Market Basket is a great place to shop. You can pretty much find anything you need for groceries. Prices are very good and the stores are clean. The only complaint I ever have is the store can get very busy at times. Buy I guess that would be a good thing. Means people enjoy shopping there.
Market basket is one of my favorite supermarkets in the United States. The materials here are rich in variety, I can find everything I need, and they are fresh. Everywhere I go, I want to find this supermarket. Your place is very tidy and the staff are warm and thoughtful. Every time I go, I am very happy.
Always jam packed, looks run down. Theres no room for people, much less products. And a TERRIBLE selection, unless you want beer or junk food. Produce section is very small and poorly lit, very dim, frozen section is minimal with no variety.... you get the picture. Its worth driving the additional 20 minutes to go to Shaws in Dover.
Great prices and helpful staff
Been shopping here for more than 35 years. There prices are usually the lowest. Their selection is practical.
Very limited inventory compared to other stores. Some Outdated foods...Very Nice cashier and quick checkout though.....
Love the prices, you can find anything here. Could have given 5 stars if they make isles bigger to make shopping faster as is always a busy place.
I LUV Market Basket... very clean and organized.
Great store. Nice workers!!
I like Market Basket because you can find fresh vegetables and fruits, fish and other stuff, but the people that work there are rude. Almost every time they make mistakes on scanning fresh products and I didnt complain, but in one of the days after I payed I observed that the difference between products it was considerable. I asked to change what they scanned wrong. After I waited a while a young lady came and told me that I have to go somewhere else to repair their mistake and she was very rude to me. I think you should be more considerate towards your clients. I am disappointed and I am not going there for shopping, neither my friends or family.
This is a decent store. One of the older ones, but has all the amenities, and though busy I rarely have to wait long at the checkout.
Good prices, well stocked, good service
Very busy..no help😑
The checkout customer service is the worst. Not sure what their problem is. They need to fire most of them and hire happier people...no excuse for them to be rude to us. Try using please and thank you
Best grocery in NE
Always has lots to choose from. Love their grinders
Cashier on register 13 let another employee cut ahead of me in line.
Market Basket of Portsmouth, NH is a place that locals have come to rely on. A large super maker with the comfort, service and feel of a small town grocer. You can get personal service from a first year employee or from the owner himself, who is seen on a regular basis, walking and talking to customers. Service and prices you cant get at any other market.100% recommendation for anyone who lives in the area or just passing through.
Great grocery store, prong, choices and friendly crew.
Need a few more square feet for the amount of business. Painful experience every single time.
I was helping a handicap friend and we found everything he needed and they were al so nice to us thank you for the experience
To busy. STEAK PRICES TO HIGH
A New England Tradition!
Great store with good prices. Always busy. But thats a good sign
Great store for groceries around the Seacoast area. Items are sold at a reasonable cost and the staff working there is great.
I happened to shop at this location as I usually shop at the Lafayette location. The customer service is always great at both locations however, I was surprised that there was no cleaning of the shopping carts happening nor was there any cleaning spray available in sight so that I could clean my cart. The Lafayette location always has someone cleaning their carts and it helps me feel safer.
Ordinarily, I would give Market Basket a five-star rating, but this particular store didnt live up to the Market Basket where I normally go. Many of the brands and items that I always have been able to purchase were not available.
My favourite supermarket and the only one j go to if I can help it. Meat ends for me and my wild visitors for one thing. What do other supermarkets do with those? I hope they arent discarded.I wish someone would explain to me why the Oakhurst whipped cream went away. I can still get it on Lafayette road but not on Woodbury. I was told its not coming back but its the only good one.Repeated attempts to persuade them to add Mission Carb Smart tortillas have been fruitless. So many are low carb these days, and they sell Mission products. Whats the issue here? They have plenty of room for ice creams that serve every possible dietary restriction. Tortillas dont take up much room. The fact they dont sell them forces me to go to Hannaford when I want them, which means I will do the rest of my shopping there to save time and hassle. Id rather spend my money at Hannaford but Id rather not spend my time at supermarkets, a sentiment that predates the pandemic. Its still my favourite store and theyve done well dealing with the pandemic afaict. They were very proactive in the beginning, before anyone else was. Kudos for that.I wish diet rootbeer was easier to come by but that might be a pandemic thing.
Good store in nh
Really nice place to shop.
Very nice store and very stocked. Employees are very polite and helpful also
Always clean and friendly. There are always plenty of sales people on the floor willing to help. They will even walk you right to where the product is. The bakery is phenomenal and the variety of choices is wonderful and the prices cant be beat. It is my grocery store of choice and should be yours. You wont be sorry! 🥭🍎🍞🍣🦞🍩🧁🍰
Always consistency of well stocked wide variety and neatly organized .produce fish and meats always fresh .never a disappointing shopping experience.
Most everyone knows about Market Basket. The prices are good and selection plentiful. The deli and bakery always have fresh items and MB makes some kickass subs. I use to shop at Shaws cause I didnt want to deal with the large crowds at MB. That all changed when I found the prices to be lower than Shaws on almost every item I bought. Now I wouldnt think of going anywhere else for my groceries
A nightmare, even a battleground if you pick the wrong time of day (and they never bag my groceries properly here) but you cant beat those prices
I like Market Basket and stood by them through the corporate buyout struggle. I buy most of my fresh ingredients as needed at Carls and Golden Harvest, but everything else I buy at Market Basket and have for years. But I feel I have to call them out on this deception. I bought their Thick Sliced Steak Bacon 🥓 and cooked 4 pieces at a time. Both times I went back to the opened package I found the top slice was no longer thick sliced and had simply deflated into regular old skinny bacon, that cooked twice as fast as the other slices. I hope your ill-gotten gains help you sleep at night. While I will continue to shop there, I will never forget this betrayal.
Thanks for being awesome and open.
Been going there 47 years i like it for the most part and when I dont like it its because of the outher customers. Lots of Karens
Market basket has the best deals.I used to shop at the original demoulas in lowell mass so I am a dedicated customer.
Market Basket has some of the best prices around. What I like best is that they can make subs and sandwiches or a burger right to order. Want some wings? Get them here, with excellent prices(try the kettle wings). Grocery items as you would usually find in neat order and a great produce and meat selection. If you find any issues they are quick to fix.
Love Market Basket. Always has great prices
One of the best locations I feal always friendly willing to help
Great place to shop. Shelves full, prices right, clean and friendly
Fair selection. Overall, fair pricing similar to competitors.
I like market basket they usually have good buys on things and the people are nice if you should need help in finding things!👍
This is a great place to shop. Clean, great variety of options for quality brands, and very helpful employees.
This place is outrageous😁. A new store just opened in Westbrook, Maine and I cant wait to check it out.
Its good!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Of course best prices around! Also very conveniently located off the highway with plenty or other stores to shop and eat at in the plaza.
Market Basket is a local grocery store that Ive never had a bad experience at. However Im honestly very uneasy that Google asks me to rate them because I stopped to get dinner....my own mother doesnt know I stopped at market basket to get dinner...nor would she need to nor care! Why does Google know, and/or care where I stopped to buy dinner?
The reason this only got three stars, okay is twofold:Im more familiar with the stratham store. The aisles are literally the exact opposite of that one and they confuse me...Haha.However, my bigger issue is that, this store is WAY bigger than the stratham one.Yet, they have LESS selection of products. Theres some products that the stratham store carries that this one DOESNT have at all. Plus, the ones they did have, were NOT quality.I guess this store proves the rule that bigger isnt always better.
Its a Market Basket. Reliably good.
Ive shopped in this store location on Woodbury Avenue for over 30 years. I have always found it to have the most competitive prices around. The crew is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Not a trendy type of supermarket but certainly one with all the basics and then some. Aside from a great deli department there is fresh seafood and lobsters steamed to order. A bakery and sandwich counter with more friendly faces. A generous selection of wines and beers. Cant go wrong here
Good one.
Im from Kansas, several people told me about the great prices of alcohol in New Hampshire. Several of the bottles of wine I looked at were at least 2-3 dollars higher than Kansas and they were marked down by 4-5 dollars. I saw no savings but the selection was overwhelming
Very busy, seafood Dept staff was very helpful.
Good value!
I live in Portland, ME and I drive to Biddeford to grocery shop at MB. I was in the area and decided to shop in Portsmouth today. Market basket is always so well stocked, and has a nice variety for selection. The prices are always competitive, that’s why I drive so far to do my groceries. Tonight, 7/14/20, my boyfriend and I went through Ben and Zac’s line (I’m pretty sure those are their names), in checkout line 11, right around closing time. They were the fastest cashiers and baggers I have ever seen. Everything was so smooth and efficient, they were the sweetest young men. Market basket is a generational store, my parents and grandparents shop here as well.
Stock is pretty tight - produce can be scarce depending on the day of the week but no complaints
Prefer the Lafayette rd store
Smaller store without all the usual stock of a newer Market Basket.
All your grocery needs.
Great store, very friendly and knowlegable staff! Produce selection is one of the best I have found.
Clean an well stocked.Alot of help in deli but service there was terrible.Cashier Ian was very pleasant and personable.
First time Ive had a bad experience at MB at Woodbury Ave. Cashier, Bonnie, got all upset because I forgot to use a divider stick between the customer in front of me. Although there was a large space between our groceries. Then the veggie scale was not working and one MB item did not have a bar code. Guess that was my fault too, according to her body actions and comments. Otherwise, Id give MB 4-5 stars. But new competition is opening in Portsmouth soon.
Great place to shop. everything in stock and staff friendly
Hannaford should take a lesson from these guys Bakery and all the fresh fruit A step above
Ive been coming to this store since the 1990s. Its clean with helpful staff. And Ive been going there for so long I know where everything is so I make a list and buzz right through my shopping. I also go first thing in the morning to stay clear of the crowds of people having conversations in the middle of the isle
