Extremely pleasant shopping experience. Very clean and plenty of staff. Cant comment on prices since I dont live here but would go here again.

Best meat! Great produce! Phenomenal customer service... the sacker even checked my pints of strawberries to be sure there were no bad berries. Great selection. Theyre a little more expensive, but absolutely worth it!

I try to avoid Tippins branded pies at Hen House. Balls own this Hen House. It appears as though Balls bought the Tippins name, but did not maintain Tippins high quality standards. Be sure to consider getting a refund if you are not satisfied with a Tippins pie. I bought the ruhbarb and strawberry pie today. Is was much better than triple berries pie we returned.

Their store made fresh orange juice is #1. The store pay great attention to what they are selling. I saw a female stocker open boxes of strawberry, get rid of the discoloring ones and put fresh ones inside. You dont see that in other stores.

A bit behind the times on vegan options. Organic options are also quite limited. Store compares favorable with higher-end grocery stores from the 80s and 90s. Missing a growing portion of todays market, people who read labels, check ingredient lists and care about their health.

The employees here make the store. Thank you Monica, who every morning is beyond kind and crushes my Starbucks order. Id be lost without you!

Always friendly staff. Always clean. Usually has needed items in stock and motorized carts available. My only complaint would be that usually unless items are on sale the prices are higher than competitors. However, the home town feel almost makes up for the difference. Doughnuts, cakes, pies, salads/salad bar and some hot deli items are better than other competitors.

Absolutely clean & beautiful. Better than Hyvee i must say. It felt like my home when I walked in. They have a great vegetarian selection as well 👏👑👌

Great selection of produce and overall products. I would say 95% of the time they have everything I need. The bakery is my favorite place they make these unbelievable strawberry cream cheese danish bites that are to die for. In fact all of their in house homemade items are delicious. Sometimes the items can be a little pricey but the quality is always there so I dont usually mind. They also normally have a good deal or two throughout the store you have to keep those eyes open while you shop. Will be going back many times.

I go here a lot its great for groceries. It has a lot of general goods. One my favourite things to get is the freshly squeezed orange juice its always very fresh. Overall its a very good place to go.

I had never heard of this place but at lunch went in and got a hot plate and omg.. Great food and really nice and helpful employees.

I was there last night about 6:45pm & the young lady in the deli/prepared salad dept. was soooo nice & friendly & helped me search for a few items & even stepped out to get me a carry basket. I was so impressed with her. Her kindness & thoughtfulness is definitely what will bring me back to this store. I wish I would had got her name. Thank You very much.

Our go-to market, has everything you would expect and more. Terrific specialty counters for cheese, deli, bakery. Also one of the best meat counters around. Employees manning the checkout lines and sacking the groceries are friendly and extremely helpful. First rate grocery store & more!

Bright, clean grocery store w great salad bar and a coffee bar right next to it! Life is good! Good produce here and a great selection of other goods to fill your pantry. Fresh meats and fish; the butchers here are good. Checkers are fast & friendly.

Sweet Corn is in season these days and I was searching for some great sweet corn, however they had run out of Sweet corn today in Overland Park, KS this afternoon. Bummer, IMO!

I love this store. It is definitely one of my top four! It offers good quality products with a lot of different options that you might not find in some of the other local grocery stores. For me, where Hen House has always been of a higher standard, some of the other local grocery stores in the last few years have just started catching on.

Fresh Produce and a great selection of meats, cheeses, and tippins pies!!!. This Hen House is more like a whole foods.

THIS is what a market should be! GREAT fresh food, including delicious prepared foods, in a wonderful atmosphere. I especially love the freshly prepared chopped salad that comes with bakery fresh hard rolls. THAT is GOOD! Meats and Fish are so good that I cant go to Price Chopper any more.OK not every person can be as friendly and helpful as Rick Allison, who is almost always there, and whos cheery voice chronicles fresh specials throughout the store, but most try. HEN HOUSE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS! Brad Lee

I shop here occasionally. Its a nice, clean store. Hen House has always been a little more expensive, thats why I give 4 🌟. Ill keep going back for certain items though.

Pretty cool grocery store. Great meats and deli. The parking lot absolutely sucks and some of the checkout staff are grouchy. The chicken is the freshest in town. The fried chicken is supreme too.

Lacking in some products but service was excellent

Pretty good store and the prices are ok. The meat department is pretty well stocked but every time we come its staffed by what appear to be high school kids with no experience cutting meat. If you dont like the cuts in the case, too bad. Thats what you get. The meat departments lack of experience is one reason we keep going to Price Chopper at 95th and Mission.

There were no fresh Brussels sprouts tonight. I couldnt find the chocolate syrup. But the cashier was very personable.

Aisles are to narrow for two carts to go down an aisle, even if go in opposite directions. I find it stressful and anxiety inducing to shop at the location. You cant easily get a cart around the salad bar without bumping into Starbucks junk. Im not a fan of this location.The cinnamon is stale so Thats $1.60 +tax down the drain. Nope, not a comfortable place to shop. I dont know why they did A remodel and made it crowded?

This is a great store. Farm to Market bread is baked in house, and they squeeze orange juice onsite. Tip: Try squeezing some lime into the OJ.

I only have been able to use the web sight once. i like to make a list it let me know where every thing is and the price.Ir will not let me use my email (no one else minds it)or my pass word .

I got all the way home only to discover numerous items including the deli meats and smoke salmon were not in the bags. I checked the receipt to see if they had been rung up and yes they were.I called the store and a man named Rick asked the clerks if any items were left behind. None reported. He then said the items must still be in my car. I told him they werent, but I went outside to check. No other bags in the back of the station wagon. For Rick to accuse me of lying was demeaning. He kept insisting that because they didnt have them, I must. Until I said I was going to dispute the charges on my credit card they werent prepared to resolve it. He then told me to come back to the store so they could take care of it. How do you weigh out meats/salmon to hit the exact same weight/amount I was charged? It irkes me to no end that I have to make a return trip to the store when it is 95 degrees out. I had planned to meet up with friends this evening. Aaargh.Incompetence at its finest. I should also mention that the bagger had come running out with a bottle of ice tea while I finshed loading my groceries in the car. He thought it was mine and didnt make it into my bags. I bet the deli meats and salmon went to the customer behind me.Update on the above. I went back to the store several days later due to being out of town and spoke with the gentleman behind the customer service counter. After telling him what transpired he credited my card, and offered an apology. I then went shopping for the missing deli items. YEA!I will say this, the deli and meat departments are awesome, with great people who work in those departments! The veggie and produce items are most always fresh & top notch.I bumped my original score of 2 stars to 4 stars due to the customer service I received and them crediting my charge card. If there had been any issues with this I was prepared to drop them to 1 star. So thank you Hen House!

This is a very clean building. The layout can be a little confusing and feel cramped, but once you get to know where things are its not so bad.

Clean and very well organized.

By careful with the scones from Hen House which, unknown to us, were saturated with partially hydrogenated oils. We didnt realize it until several hours later when we had headaches and were feeling awful.

Its a little pricier than the neighboring grocery stores but the staff and selection make it well worth a trip.
