I asked canyon auto to do a buyers inspection on a used car. Seems they chose to do a dozen inspection points and not thirty. Missed numerous issues that were not difficult to see. Somehow managed to not check/inform me of: broken windshield, missing spare, numerous lights not working, ac not blowing cold, e brake not working, numerous screws in wheels, bent windshield wipers, torn ball joint boot and more. Keep in mind the inspection is free and you get what you pay for. Would highly encourage anyone looking quality car care to check out Jimβs brake and alignment or H and F auto. Will never be going to canyon or sending friends there again.PS- here is the inspection report I was handed. Donβt offer a free inspection like you are doing someone a favor. You should do a good job whether you offer a free inspection or you charge. Youβre βfreeβ inspection easily lost me $500 in negotiating the price of my car. You did a mediocore job, lied in your defense and now you wonβt own up.

Great shop and staff. had them work on my rear brakes(pads), should have been done same day but ran into a problem with one of the calipers and wouldnt get done til next day. they offered me a loaner which was cool but didnt need it. repair was finished and im a happy customer. also, i am a veteran and was treated with dignity and respect, the even have parking for veterans, active duty, police and fire personnel in front. they are my official repair peeps.
Canyon Auto fixed up my Jeep JK rubicon real nice. Light bar install looks great and works great too. Dual fox stabalizer looks tough and works great too. New battery post clamps solved my loose connection issue. The custom fab wheel well cuts and bends make my 37s clear when compressed.Jimmy was great to work with, very attentive and flexible. Even got to meet the tech that did all the work, Brandon, before hand to go over everything, make sure weβre all on the same page.The work was done expertly and the customer service was perfect.
The experience was so bad that I cannot share everything that happened because the list is too long. We have taken multiple vehicles there including my personal and every single time there were just more problems. They had my personal vehicle for 2 months and every time I went to pick it up it never made it home, the furthest I got was the Circle K down the street. The mechanics have no idea what they are doing or talking about and they try to cut corners. If you want honest and professional work do not go anywhere near this business.
Work is fine and fairly priced. There is a pandemic going on that is killing our friends and neighbors. Your customer-facing staff should wear masks. I am reluctant to return.
I won an oil change and tire rotation that Canyon Auto had donated, and received great service. They honored my prize even tho it was fraudulent. And the charity knew nothing about it. Kudos to Canyon auto.

.I had recently invested approximately $6,000 in repairs with Canyon Auto. As proactive preventative work they replaced a transmission cooler line and failed to install it correctly leaving the transmission fluid depleted while I was stranded on a freeway overpass in California. The vehicle was returned to Canyon Auto for inspection and they assured me everything was in order, I drove back out to CA and this time I was left stranded with a transmission that would not shift. Several mechanics confirmed that once the transmission fluid was depleted; Canyon Auto should have immediately offered to replace my transmission as a result of their negligence . The repair facility that rebuilt the transmission issued a letter confirming improper installation from Canyon Auto that ruined the transmission. Upon submitting my report of incurred expenses to Canyon auto I requested insight on what portion of the expense they deemed fair to reimburse me for and although they admitted to a part failure they installed; well with in their warranty period, they informed me that they would not participate in any expenses inured as a result of their negligence. On one occasion they left a tool under the hood and it bent the hood, not bothered to wipe off grease they smeared on the inside and outside of my vehicle, they have left fender liners un fastened and fuel lines not secured. I understand everyone makes mistakes. What separates good corporate citizens from those who lack integrity is how they respond to mistakes. I have an ethical obligation to warn consumers of my experience with this facility.

Great honest crew. They had a great repair estimate that we went with, and they still came slightly under that when the repair was finished. Did a great job working with our insurance as well. Good common sense group with no BS like the local dealerships. Will use them in the future for sure.
Our Dodge trucks transmission went out and we took it to this location to get worked on. The people who work there are courteous and call you back in minutes if you need them to. We needed an estimate for price and they called us back within an hour with multiple choices for us. We were told it would be a week that we needed to leave the truck there. So we rented a car for that week. The day we were supposed to pick our truck up they said they needed another day. But this happened twice. On the second day they actually provided a car for us to use! We will definitely be going back to them as we like their service. But as a warning to others. Please know there can be delays to getting your vehicle back and make the necessary adjustments.
If I need anything fixed on my car these are the guys that I want to do it they got the cheapest prices when it comes to getting oil changes done their honest with you and they do a great job and theyre always super nice about it. I love these guys!!!!

I was prepared to buy a set of tires for a recently acquired 2000 Honda Odyssey at another shop nearby. Their techs had convinced me that the front brake rotors and shoes needed replacement as well. When I was told that the offered deal on the agreed upon tires was no longer available, I brought the vehicle to Canyon for a second opinion. They gave me a better deal on tires AND informed me that the brakes not only did not need replaced BUT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE NEARLY NEW! I will stick with these guys!
I went to Canyon Auto because they offer Smartstarts ignition interlock device and related monitoring services. Then I started have my Oil and Lube servicing done there as well. They are very conveniently, fairly centrally located in Prescott AZ. The front office and tech people there are very friendly, knowledgeable and in my opinion super-competent. All my concerns were well-addressed and questions fully answered. It is my pleasure to be able to recommend their service on both scores without reservation.

Came to their shop with a problem on my 1990 GMC truck. They found the space and time to get the truck on the lift. Found the problem, ordered the parts and had me back on the road in about a hour. I will take all of my vehicles to them in the future!!!
Benn at Canyon Auto is awesome!!! Every time I have had my 2014 Cadillac SRX in there he is ALWAYS VERY helpful and always fixes my problems. Just recently the touchscreen on my Cue froze. Cadillac wanted $1500.00 for a total new system and then labor, I did a little research on line (apparently this is a common problem with the Cue) and just the touchscreen can be replaced (but Cadillac wont sell just the screen) and the problem is fixed. Benn did some research also and came up with the same thing that I found. Benn order the touchscreen AND installed it for $320.00!!!!! My Cue works again!!!! Thank you Benn!!!!

I was having problems getting anyone locally to service my diesel powered motorhome. I sent an e-mail to Canyon Auto & received a call back the next day from Gary. I explained my issue to Gary & he said that they do service large motorhomes & they would be happy to help. I plan on calling them in a week or two to schedule an appointment. So far great customer response!

I was passing through Prescott and I had problems with my motorhome. I called several shops only to be told they dont work on motorhome. I have been a customer of Canyon Auto for years. I had an interaction last week with Service Rep BL, he is a nutcase. This dude yelled, cursed at me when I asked simple questions. He has clear mental or substance abuse issues. I contacted the owner and suggested immediate drug testing for this employee. After years as a customer, I wont be back until this psycho is gone.
Had changed for estimate on looking at my truck said cost would go towards my work on vehicle but asking more money said come get my truck and go elsewhere.
They have worked on several vehicles for me and have done great work, worked with my busy schedule and did exactly what they said they would. I would highly recommend them!

I brought my 2013 VW Jetta into Canyon Auto. I even specifically asked if they were certified to perform mechanical corrections on my vehicle, being that its a European car. The manager, Corey, said YES. Turned out that was a lie (I didnt find out until AFTER they serviced my car). So I continued my business there, expressing my concerns about my vehicle. They did an inspection & test drive and came back and told me I just needed some new breaks. I went thru with purchasing them and allowing Canyon to service my car. Paid the bill $350 and left. Fast forward 2 1/2 weeks later I start to hear my breaks again and they are LOUDER than before. So I bring my VW back into Canyon Auto and speak with Corey, the manager, again. He agrees to look at my vehicle and after sitting at their shop for THREE HOURS, he comes back to me and begins telling me my breaks are no good. Naturally, I immediately begin to question him & his practices, asking why in the world would there be ANY problems with my breaks when I just left my car with him all day a couple weeks ago, and paid hundreds of dollars for NEW BREAKS?? At that point, Corey asked me to drop the attitude. When I reminded him that Im a paying customer who is highly skeptical of their practices, I have every right to be firm with him, he responded, Youre not a paying customer. Thats when I requested he return my car to my possession, I no longer want nor trust to do business with him. Now I contact Volkswagen themselves, get a referral to an actual CERTIFIED VW mechanic and bring my Jetta in. I get a report back that Canyon Auto DAMAGED my rotors and I need ALL NEW brakes/rotors replaced. They not only damaged but put on INCORRECT PARTS. I call Corey at Canyon informing him of the news and requesting a full refund- with the PROMISE of bringing in proof and an invoice of the new services- he hung up on me and refused to answer any of my calls afterwards. Ive had ZERO communication with Canyon since.

Beware. They misdiagnosed the problem, charged $100 non-refundable for diagnosis, another $550 in work which did not fix anything, and refused to honor their guarantee. Avoid Canyon Auto Repair.
